Erect Phallic imagery was crucial in Moche’s art and symbolism, carrying deep cultural and religious significance. Integrating a human flutist element within the phallus conveys multiple layers of meaning. The flute is often associated with fertility and agricultural rituals, suggesting its use in ceremonies intended to invoke prosperity and divine favor. The depiction underscores the Moche’s sophisticated understanding of the interconnectedness of music, fertility, and spiritual well-being. Music, an integral part of Moche ceremonies, was believed to enhance ritual potency and communicate with the divine. The stature of an erect penis and large testicles further emphasize fertility and potency, making this artifact a powerful symbol within Moche cultural and religious practices.

Trigun fandom... we don't talk enough about Trigun's scoring for both animes. Specifically how Vash is given the flute as his motif instrument, a normally feminine-coded instrumentation for characters. It tickles my little flutist heart to see a male protagonist get my instrument.

I’m finally starting to see progress on self teaching myself bass and I’m SO excited. These photos are from when I first got it in April and I haven’t been very consistent with playing but part of that is because of how small our place is and we also have a roommate (and I have executive dysfunction lmao)
But I’ve been practicing more lately and I can play a few songs pretty ok/almost perfect but I still don’t know the fretboard fully so I took a step back and am now trying to better learn them first before fully going into more songs!
That way I can better play by ear and not rely on tabs and also feel more confident.
I played flute & a lil piano for 15 years so I’m used to sheet music and stuff but I am so used to treble clef that bass clef is so foreign to me haha. But I’ll get there!! And stringed is also so different from keys but I love experiencing the joy of learning a new instrument all over again, I feel like I’m 9 again 💙
Once I’m more confident I’d love to post videos on here or on my YouTube of covers, there’s SO many songs I wanna cover hahaha
Just know you CAN do it! And if one way isn’t working, maybe step back and try to find another way that could work better for you. Pluck or use a pick, use one finger or two, use tabs/sheet music or play by ear. Whatever works for you!! And this doesn’t just apply to music ✨
I’ve been unmedicated with audhd my whole life and always felt like I was behind because I was always trying to do things one way. But finding ways to accommodate yourself is so essential for your own growth

This December 23rd, Dreamworks Animation announced a prequel of "Shrek Forever After" for an upcoming fairy tale romance feature-length adventure, "Princess Amelia and the Pied Piper". It was promising and it shows a watercolor 2D style created in CGI and looks stunning. The upcoming flim is about when a lonely and orphan princess in Hamelin decides to find her true love, revealed to be Pied Piper (who's hired by Rumpelstiltskin), and she knew that seen too many bad things in the Kingdom of Far, Far Away. Here are the cast of "Princess Amelia and the Pied Piper"! Mae Whitman as Amelia in her speaking role and Ariana Debose in her singing role. Since Jeremy Steig died in 2016, we've decided to have a new flutist actor! Despite being unable to speak, he was voiced by the new flutist Emmanuel Pahud. Featuring the original music score by Harry-Gregson Williams and original songs by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Frank Wess – Southern Comfort
Southern Comfort is an album by jazz saxophonist Frank Wess which was recorded in 1962 and released on the Prestige label.
The Allmusic site awarded the album 4 stars stating “Nelson’s attractive arrangements serve Wess quite well throughout this session… To his credit, Nelson doesn’t over-arrange. There is still plenty of room for blowing and improvising, and Wess sounds very uninhibited on everything… One of Wess’ most rewarding sessions”.
Frank Wess – flute, tenor saxophone Al Aarons – trumpet George Barrow – baritone saxophone Tommy Flanagan – piano George Duvivier – bass Osie Johnson – drums Ray Barretto – congas Oliver Nelson – arranger, tenor saxophone
