#Ambient Soundscapes

Audio
Statik is another impressive offering from London-based beatmaker Kai Meara. Across 12-tracks Kai Meara continue to carve his unique sound with an immersive LP inspired by ambient soundscapes, spiritual jazz, broken beats, and movie soundtracks. It is hard to find anything not to like on this album. It reminds me a lot of Al Dobson Jr. in places which is no bad thing.

Abyssosymphonia
"Abyssosymphonia," my latest work in progress, draws from the deepest shadows of my soul. In the twilight of my existence, I have found a haunting beauty in every note and lyric. This album, set to be released soon, captures my journey through the realms of gothic rock and ethereal wave, a journey that has been anything but ordinary.
The past year has been a whirlwind of introspection and creation. It all began in a moment of profound dissatisfaction, a pivotal meeting where I have yet to fully unveil my true artistic self. The shadows of self-doubt loomed large, but in those shadows, I found a spark. I banded together with my inner muses, my whispers and wraiths, and we forged a common goal: to make the world hear the true essence of Spectra Noir.
Each track on Abyssosymphonia reflects my life's darkest and most beautiful moments. "Malediction" weaves the curse of love lost and found in the labyrinth of my heart. "Mute the Cosmos" is a symphony of silence, echoing the void that often fills my nights. "Wraith Heart" tells the story of a spectral love that transcends the mortal plane, a haunting reminder of what once was and what could never be.
"Two Hours Past Ten" and "All the Weary Spirits" delve into the melancholy of time slipping away and the lingering presence of spirits past. "Darling Darkling" is a personal ode to the duality of light and darkness within me, while "Dark Reflection," set to release soon, promises to unveil possibly the final chapter of this ethereal journey.
Creating "Abyssosymphonia" has been an exorcism of sorts, a way to confront and embrace the shadows that dwell within. The swirling clouds in deep purples, indigos, and blacks of the album cover mirror the tumultuous sky of my mind. The ancient, crumbling stone bridge symbolizes the passage from one realm to another, and the ghostly apparitions are the forgotten parts of my unconscious that linger still.

The first collaborative LP between Venetian maestro Gigi Masin and esteemed pianist/composer/producer Greg Foat is a must-listen for anyone who loves chilled-out instrumental music and is a testament to the duo’s creativity and skill. It’s an audio head massage you will remember for a long time. Highly recommended.
