I don’t know how to explain this but Ganondorf would totally play bassoon in the orchestra
He gives me low-woodwind vibes
Bassoon is the definition of lawful evil

Playing a rare(ish) instrument means it becomes literally your whole personality. If you hear a piece of music where your instrument gets a solo, you WILL let everybody in the immediate vicinity know, whether they want to or not.

the proudest moment of my school bassoon career was when the conductor of my wind band told me “I never thought I’d say this but, bassoon, can you be quieter?”

tbh "I had no idea the bassoon could sound like that" is one of the most beautiful things you can hear, right next to the bassoon.

Fun fact: In several different languages, the word for "bassoon" is "fagotto", "fagott" or "fagot". There seems to be some disagreement over the etymology of the word, with different people arguing for or against whether it has something to do with the old word for "bundle of sticks".
This also means that a person playing this instrument is called a "fagottist" in some languages (the Swedish Wikipedia page for it has a section called "famous fagottists").
