I have seen exactly 1 episode of Blue Eye Samurai and I am gobsmacked by how amazing it is. Mizu is already my everything. I am almost never so deeply invested so quickly in any media. I am obsessed. If the rest of the show is consistent in quality with the first episode then this show is Arcane level incredible, and I do not say that lightly.

i need someone who has actually played the oracles games to give me an honest review of eow because as of right now every piece of media i’ve seen very much makes it look like an oracle clone? people keep saying it’s so fun and innovative to choose unique ways to solve puzzles as if this wasn’t an option in prior games? is there literally anyone who can convince me that this game is not just a reformatting of forgotten old mechanics?????

so far, the biggest Shu Takumi-ism of Ghost Trick is that I've been trying to figure out the mystery, and just got hit with "there's a ghost that can literally possess people (previously assumed to be impossible for a ghost)" as a legit plot point and now have to start from scratch on trying to figure out what the fuck is going on here

i have a disease called "need to make builds for my favs in whatever ttrpg i can". thankfully with prior favs this was extremely easy due to 5e being piss easy to build in and them having fairly basic skillsets. thank god i have found other ttrpgs to love (please for the love of christ talk to me about lancer its so fucking good) and now the buildcrafting process more fun but more challenging as well. as if this wasnt enough, uh. axl 1. can cast magic at will 2. but is primarily a melee* combatant 3. (not really) 4. has time travel magic.

due to my insanities i am still attempting to build this out. i have accepted i cant just take the fast and easy route via 5e because even WITHOUT the time magic this build is a fucking multiclass monstrosity + his weapon is two-handed and 5e doesnt like it when casters wield those.

but i HAVE discovered its very possible to build him in lancer ;)

These are all themes and ideas you could explore with the characters they actually apply to and it’s not lost on me that such a heavily queer fandom ignores black and brown people and women so much in favor of white men who are canonically cops, or have classist ideals, or whatever. To you ig) it’s the fact that it’s so obvious that ur yearning for a specific character or story that’s already there and just waiting to be explored in full but you can’t see poc as people enough to do it.

Anything you write about talon dick can be explored through cass, league cracker aus through Damián, meta anyones through Duke, tim being hated through Stephanie. These are themes that ALREADY exist but y’all are so entangled in making white men kiss that u ignore them it’s so fucking weird. Even that ‘trying c+ parent’ thing with Bruce where he knows he’s paranoid and controlling but he knows statistically it helps but he also wants his family to be happy? Or him being the only smart competent person ever (🫥) and backbone of the JL? That could be Babs! READ BIRDS OF PREY!

Anyways it’s just so disingenuous like first of all I don’t believe anyone who says they don’t read enough ONLY to include Duke; not only bc it’ll be someone who’s self admittedly never read anything but also bc Duke is THEE easiest character to get into rn. I don’t believe people who write the aus above and have the characters they actually apply to as cardboard cutouts in the background have any care for said characters and I don’t believe that people who project their own “leftist” ideals onto white characters before even THINKING about a woman believe shit. The boys know someone is hunting down Uthorim but no one knows who or even why. Security at Egret is tripled with the three of them taking shifts as well. Loke taking watch from 4:00 pm to midnight. Jelani from midnight to 8:00 am. Angelus from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. There's plenty of security, everyone is well armed but the boys wanna get hands on with watching Uthorim. Jelani makes sure Dagny's on Uthorim at all times. Uthorim doesn't go anywhere without an escort.

No one knows when this person might strike or even how. Strangers coming into the settlement get escorted around by security.

All of that couldn't stop a well nestled sniper across the river and as talented as they are the settlement's own sniper was good too. Ego and pride aside something else motivated the counter-sniper: protecting his family.

10+ years of honing in his skills with a customized anti-material sniper rifle wasn't enough to prepare him when he saw Uthorim leaving the building, armed to the teeth, and ready to face down the attacker with a fiery determination fueled by a threat trying to disrupt his peace and family.

He just got his family back. He finally got to feel alive again, wounded but alive and there was something threatening to take that feeling away but he wasn't about to let that happen. He almost lost one parent, there was no way he'd ever sit and watch as another died. Not again.

Uthorim was startled when he felt someone push him hard enough that he fell to the ground and as he fell he could've sworn he heard the distinct sound or a bullet firing off in the distance. As he gathers himself he checks and sees he isn't injured and he lets out a sigh of relief. But when he looks up he can see Jelani, both arms across his chest leaning on the side of the building. They stare at each other. Jelani breathlessly asks Uthorim, "You okay, Dad?" but Uthorim doesn't answer, he just stares as Jelani slides down and blood covers the wall behind him until he drops.

He survives tho.

Just started my second play through of Gotham Knights, this time as Barbara. I have made a mistake. I thought Jason was the tank. He is not. Jason deals damage, Barbara absorbs it like a sponge and I love her for it.
