I'm seeing sum ppl being like "Sukuna is being sooo unreasonable reacting so angrily bc Yuuji wants to kill him like what did he expect!!!" but Sukuna's not angry bc of that. I think he'd even prefer Yuuji to insta kill him. That whole time he was in the places of Yuuji's memory he's been waiting for Yuuji to get it over with, already. Expecting Yuuji to kill him.
But then
Yuuji basically tells him: That just now? Yeah, it was me giving you a chance. Because, even though i hate you, i dont want to kill you. Because you are human. You don't have to play this role.
And that's what enrages Sukuna so fucking much. The brat has the gall to feel sorry for him. Him, the strongest. Him, someone unabashedly uncaring, unfeeling beyond repair. Evil.
Sukuna is not like other people. He doesn't see himself as people; that's why he can't ever find an "equal", can't even fathom finding one. He doesn't have a role, he does what he wants, because he can.
At this point he can endure Yuuji killing him. He had help, he got lucky, idk, whatever excuse he's probably telling himself will do. He will face it without feeling a thing; not anger, not sadness, no happiness, no fear. He's above it all... But Yuuji feeling sorry for him? Like he's above Sukuna?
Yuuji is threatening Sukuna, yes, but that's not all. He's showing him everything that will be taken away from him. From Sukuna, by Yuuji.
Like Sukuna is like any other mortal who walks the Earth. Vulnerable. A human being instead of a monster.
(So, uuh, yeah no. Sukuna won't act all chill like always lol...)

I've definitely said this before but I'll say it again: the argument for killing the Exandrian pantheon because the status quo must change is absolutely nonsensical and shows a profound lack of imagination and understanding of both past and currently relevant lore.
There are aliens from the moon who have arrived on the planet. Magic might be fundamentally changed, permanently. Geopolitics will be drastically different, particularly on the continent of Wildemount where the absence of Ludinus Da'leth has led to the dissolution of the Cerberus Assembly; in the long term this might open up a potential for actual lasting peace talks between the Empire and the Dynasty and a reduction in both powers' isolationist tendencies, particularly since the Empire's seizing of archaeological sites will probably end. The widespread reveal of the nature of Predathos, the two gods killed by Predathos, confirmation on the story of the creation of Ruidus, and the information from the Thalamus would have world-shattering effects on Exandria's understanding of history and the divine. The Exandrian Accord will almost certainly foster countless new international relationships and alliances. The reveal that Ludinus was responsible for Molaesmyr will also be massive and could lead to any number of dramatic changes in the political, arcane, and literal landscape in the region of the Savalirwood. The portal to the moon in Ria'Doin may transform an otherwise isolated region of Issylra. If Predathos and/or the Weave Mind are defeated, destroyed, or banished, it will upend Ruidian society entirely.
Any single item above would be significant. Several have already occurred. Exandria will be forever changed even if the campaign were to end next week with the party killing Ludinus and destroying Predathos in a poorly-done Rocks Fall BBEGs Die scenario. We've checked off "change the status quo"; that is no longer a valid Doylist argument for killing the gods and never was much of a Watsonian one, and can now be entirely disregarded.

My preliminary headcanon's for Jason's face over time:

Headcanon that once Jay was living with Bruce and Alfred, he got a lot of baby fat on his face- he has wavy curly hair in my head. Teal eyes - very smiley.

2. Jaybin :(
No way that explosion and building collapsing didn't do some physical damage. In this the skin below his eye has been torn and ripped open, it was ripped to the bone - and his left cheekbone was fractured- I also imagine tears around his forehead and back of his skull from the crowbar - but kind of hidden by his hair. Also his hair was frizzled by the explosion and smoke.

3. Post revival - pre-utrh
I was gonna draw him at his revival but forgot :( -might draw this later but I imagine his mortician reconstructed his face - and since it was a closed casket funeral it didn't have to be super clean. His skin was kept together with staples -
post revival- in his time in the hospital catatonic, it healed super wonky and (based on my own surgical scars) it keloided in some areas and sunk in in some others - and because he wasn't able to treat them- they're super tough and pull at his skin and don't fade properly to white like they should. The scars from the staples are still there. The scar is also a little shiny where it keloided- idk why but my scars do it in certain lighting.
His face is a lot more masculine and older but it still has a decent amount of baby fat (he's still super young). This is about 2 years post revival so hes around 17 - very recently after his time in the pit. (I feel like 15-17 for a lot of kids has huge body and face changes so imagine mentally 15 yr old Jason suddenly so grown- might revise this to make him more baby looking)
The white hairs just begun to grow - i kept the baby curls because of course i did.
I bounce between whether or not the pit healed his scars or not because I find both so compelling- but as an artist i like drawing cool scars more.

4. Post-utrd
His face is a bit more defined again. - now featuring the batarang scar. I haven't put to much though into his other face scars yet so these may change yet again.
His scar has faded slightly but it still tugs on his face massively - it won't go white. He cant smile without it tugging uncomfortably- sometimes even hurting. He smirks like a loser instead. He frowns as his resting face both because hes a bitch but also because of the position of the scar.
Featuring the batarang scar yayyyyyyy- i also headcanon that the doesn't treat it correctly (do you think he has time to massage it and moisturize that many times a day??) so it tugs every time he turns his head.
The white hair has fully grown out and he got a haircut.

I also did one for his body scars - and one for arkham knight jason but i want to redo them with a little more research - quick preview of that though - arkham knight - dealing with the effects of undernourishment from his childhood and from his year with the joker - only grew to about 5'3. And mainline jason that didn't die grew to about 5'6. Will do a comprehensive headcanon list for different universe jays.

I think Bruce handled the situation completely wrong. In its entirety.
Yes, he failed Jason. Both as Batman and as a father.
Killing Joker isn’t necessarily something I would want Bruce to do… well, no, I do. But I understand that he can’t. So that’s really not the hard part I got hung up on.
What got to me was the way he didn’t even try very much to compromise. Not a single second of genuine joy over Jason being alive, overshadowed by his actions as it may have been.
And yes, Jason was being downright nasty, but Bruce “greatest-detective-slash-everyone-deserves-a-second-chance-slash-philanthropist” almost killing him and leaving him there in favor of saving Joker?
Nope, sorry. There aint no coming back from that sort of shit.
A real father— or hell, even a good MENTOR— would have tried to compromise with the miracle of a (child) man standing there. Would have gone weak kneed with disbelief-grief-hope.
So yeah, I think Bruce failed Jason in almost every way possible.
Bruce saw a cold hearted killer in the Red Hood, a failed project. A rogue soldier. His mistake.
In reality, Red Hood is a scared, angry teenager that just wanted a single ounce of proof that he wasn’t discarded like a stray dog at the first chance they got.

Just saw a post of someone saying that Daniel (from Interview with the Vampire) is so far into the closet that at the time of the Dubai interview he doesn't even realize he's queer.
And I really don't think that's true for his character.
He wrote articles about AIDS in the 1980s (later published in a book). He frequented gay bars in the 1970s (and possibly later). He's had sex with men. He's not repressed. (ETA: not repressed about the gender of people he's attracted to, anyway)
Now there's a lot we don't know about Daniel's life, so it is open to interpretation, I'll admit. But it really feels more to me that he's written to be someone who's, like, a 1 on the Kinsey scale. Like, his longest romantic relationships were with women. His primary motivation for being at gay bars in the 1970s really was to score drugs. (Tho that wasn't his only motivation). When he tells Armand "I can be on my knees in a minute" it really is just him "bargaining with desire" not expressing his own desire. He was definitely attracted to and intrigued by Louis (and flirting with Louis) in San Francisco, but the promise of sex alone probably wouldn't have convinced him to go to Louis' apartment. And for sure there is so much tension between Armand and Daniel in that Dubai apartment, you could cut it with a knife...it's just, y'know, both sexual and angry.
Daniel's a character with a lot of nuance in his sexuality. His sexuality is fluid. He's a character for whom his motivations for having sex are not always purely about desire (though desire is wrapped in it). And I love that! Finally a character whose sexuality is muddled...who doesn't fit into any boxes (not even those created by other queer people)...and yet who doesn't seem to be at all confused by himself. By the time we get to Dubai, he knows who he is, in terms of his sexuality.
And that doesn't make him less queer. His muddled queerness isn't a problem to be fixed. Hell, that's true even though Daniel might not even call himself queer or bisexual. This show has earned having a character do that. Like, the beauty of there being so many queer characters on this show is that no single character has to carry the weight of representation. So their sexual identities can be muddled and stay muddled.

i think the creators in the undertale multiverse is SUCH a creative concept and even though it's fourth wall breaking it's so amazing that it deserves to break the fourth wall
everytime other medias and games or stories break the fourth wall it's either taken unseriously (like pinkie pie from mlp or family guy cutaways) or people shit on it for being out of place and just a deus ex machina or something (hi3 i will NEVER hate you for including the players in the final arc) but the undertale multiverse completely subverts that. actually the entire MULTIVERSE is BASED on the concept that people are willing to make media and art and writing and that is what keeps these ocs and worlds and creations going and alive
the utmv isn't even a real thing. like it's not a fandom that spawned from a book or a movie or a show or game or comic. ok well it technically is but the undertale fandom and the undertale AUs fandon are two different things i think. like undertale aus ofc came from undertale but that's a whole seperate branch of things and sometimes those aus have NOTHING to do with undertale (looking at you dreamtale. and others.)
but the fact that a whole seperate branch of a fandom was created just because people wanted to expand on one tiny game and had so much love for it that it spawned this clusterfuck of a fandom is just so amazing to me. i don't think any other fandom has THIS extensive of a multiverse with aus where the people holding the pencils and typing words are so heavily engrained into the lore (ink and error i will forever love you for being aware of creators I AM AWARE OF YOU TOO!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!)
in other fandoms there's a strict canon for medias but in the utmv a lot of aus are just a brief concept and maybe some charactization and that's it (dusttale ily 4 this. dusttale is peak fiction). and if you like the concept enough you can make another concept based on it. and if someone else likes your au enough they might make another au based on it or write headcanons for it. and it's so cool that this fandom is kinda self sustaining in a way. undertale's probably never gonna get another update or game and even though deltarune has its connections its a completely seperate thing. but somehow the fandom is alive and still pumping out tons of amazing content
and the fact that we control all of these character's actions is so daunting but also so cool. like these characters do these things because we basically script them to do. we as creators are the ones drawing the angst or writing the shit posts. if a character is self aware of the creators that's just because we MADE them aware. so are they really aware or are we just pretending that we are. if a character is powerful that's just because we made them powerful. if a character hates the creators we made them hate us. if a character destroys aus we make them do that. but they don't actually feel that way or do those things, that's just what we tell them to do and i think that's really cool
ive yapped a lot about this topic (i still have so much more to say) but i'll hold it back and just talk about one last thing and that's headcanons and interpretations. I LOVE PEOPLE'S INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATIONS!!! I LOVE PEOPLE'S HEADCANONS FOR CHARACTERS!!! i love seeing how other people think the mtt (or other characters but i am a murder time trio fanatic) would interact or how they would act. i love seeing people's dumb comics of them bickering or making out (errrmmmmm) because it's all different. all these people came up with their own ideas and thoughts on how to expand these relatively basic concepts and it's all different because everyone's different and gone through different things <333
all in all i love you undertale multiverse. this fandom is one of the most unique i've ever had the joy of being in and i hope it never dies out (if it dies out what will happen to all of the amazing creations and worlds and people we've made 😕😕😕 ink will be sad. so pls don't die utmv)

idk if this is a hot take but I don't think Armin is friendly. I think people find him generally off-putting. Like, people think he looks sweet, but also find him strange; for the topics that interest him, the way he didn't stray far from Eren (& Mikasa) socially, and his general demeanor.
I think that as Armin established himself more as he grew up, he developed better interpersonal skills that compliment his rhetorical prowess. I think he's the type of person who sees value in life and in minimizing harm. He offers kindness to his friends and understanding to all. But I don't see him as particularly "friendly"

One of the things that’s so interesting and off putting about Sol’s little “I’m gonna talk and you’re going to listen” thing with Mae is that it has nothing to do with what she wants or needs and everything to do with what he wants and needs. Like, he claims to care for her, but he’s been consumed by guilt for whatever happened for sixteen years and he desperately wants to get that weight off his chest and it’s that that’s his priority in this moment. It’s crushing him, this weight, and with every episode we’ve seen him get more heavy with it and more and more frantic and desperate as he comes to terms with the fact he’ll have to face the past, putting the lie to “I’ve made peace with what happened on Brendok” because he clearly hasn’t. And now he’s got Mae, the living representation and embodiment of everything he’s carrying, and he wants to offload. And while Mae is a loose cannon and he doesn’t trust her not to attack him, having her tied down also means she can’t lash out or physically interrupt him or leave. She can’t have any of the reactions she might be entitled to depending on what he’ll tell her. It doesn’t feel like a means to protect her or even himself while he gently explains the past in a way that will heal her, no, it has nothing to do with making her feel better anymore, it feels more like he’s snapped and he can’t carry this burden anymore and he will force her to listen if he has to if it’ll only get the crushing weight of what he did off his chest. And that’s. kinda dark
