so… i made a list of the first use of every song* in campaign 1 of naddpod, with timestamps. if you're wondering, it's 190 unique songs! * disclaimer: this list doesn't include royalty free songs, only emily's, and it's entirely possible i missed one or two.
i've put the list under the cut, separated by episode! edit: backdating on patreon has made it so that ALL timestamps are from the ad free episodes now!

Pokemon Horizons Episode 46 Review - Terastal Debut
What I like most about this episode is that so much is given out and it’s explained so thoroughly. Instead of having the kids go on a Treasure Hunt like in the game, Liko, Roy and Dot enroll in Naranja Academy’s Terastal Course. It turns out that the school allows students from all over the world to enroll in the course to learn more about Terastal as permitted by Director Clavell and Chairwoman Geeta.
Tumblr media
Dendra gives an explanation of how the course works. To study Terastal, students must defeat Gym Leaders according to their aptitude. There’s also a condition as students can only have two chances to challenge a Gym Leader and if they acknowledge their skills, they pass. Also, students cannot terastalize outside of battles not revolving around the Terastal Course; this means that regular trainer battles do not permit Terastalizing. Liko gets paired up with Katy, Roy gets paired up with Brassius and Dot gets paired up with Iono. The kids get camping equipment as they have to camp out for the course. Dot is definitely not amused that she has to touch grass for a while now.
There are so many characters introduced here that it’s insane. Alex and Lucca, Liko’s parents, return and are actually seen together. It’s sweet that she has loving parents. Given that Lucca is a teacher, she doesn’t seem to work at Naranja Academy and probably works elsewhere. That’s an interesting detail. Then we have Clavell who wears the Scarlet version of his outfit. Then there’s the Pokemon League members with Geeta and the Elite Four showing up. It’s crazy how they all just show up at the school like it’s normal business to patrol the school or something. There’s also the debut of Penny who has no lines. I guess she’s forced to work for the League in this iteration, but it’ll be cool if Team Star gets implemented into the story. Jacq and Dendra make their debuts as teachers. They still teach their respective subjects of Biology and Battle Studies. Dendra is the one who explains the course to the kids while Jacq tells them that he wants reports from them as they are still students at the end of the day. Nemona makes her reappearance with a newly evolved Pawmot. In her first appearance, her Pawmo was the butt of a recurring joke where it got sprayed by Brassius’s Doliv’s oil twice. Here, Nemona is now the butt of the recurring joke as her desire to battle Roy gets interrupted by staff and the school bell.
The biggest surprise in terms of character returns is Ann who has transferred to Naranja Academy to partake in the Terestal Course with her newly evolved Dewott. The battle between her and Liko was really well-animated. Liko and Ann were very strategic and used various tactics to one-up each other. My favorite part of the battle was when Dewott used Aerial Ace and its fists glowed up and tried to punch Floragato. I hope Ann battles more in this arc because it’d be a waste to not let her battle when she’s very capable.
Another surprise is the Explorers coming in to partake in the course too. Sidian and Coral arrive late, and use very terrible pseudonyms in order to pass as students. Fortunately, they were able to get in because Chalce is disguised as a teacher and was able to hack them into the database. The Explorers are doing this because they were tasked to keep an eye on Liko. There were two things I liked about the Explorers segment. The first is Coral laughing her head off when Sidian introduces them as Onigiri and Sandwich, which she then accepts. The second is the fact that Liko, Roy and Dot recognize them and isn’t suffering from face blindness that Ash and his friend suffered through for 25 years when it came to Team Rocket’s disguises.
Tumblr media
Last but not least, the Rising Volt Tacklers are doing their own thing right now. Orla is in charge of the Brave Olivine repairs. Mollie and Ludlow are caring for Pokemon. Murdock is working at what seems to be Patisserie Soapberry as his outfit looks similar to Katy’s. Friede is going to research the Six Heroes as he has the Ancient Pokeballs and Lucius’s belt in his possession as Liko goes to take the Terastal Course. It’ll be cool to see what the other RVTs will be doing in future episodes.
As a whole, the entire episode was a very good introduction to the third chapter. The pacing was great in terms of squeezing in everything that was needed. The new opening and ending songs were great too! I think it’s amazing how they managed to get IVE, a K-POP girl group, to sing in Japanese for Horizons. Since K-POP is rather popular in Japan and they have been using KPOP groups for different anime openings for various animes, it was about time that Pokemon would do the same. It shows that this arc will be one to remember with the new changes! It does feel like the quality has stepped up here. I’m honestly hyped up for what’s to come. What about you?

Note
alright! first installment of my tfp notes series!
Episode One - Darkness Rising, Part 1
Characters Introduced [In order of appearance]
Cliffjumper [00:08 - In Altmode]
Arcee [00:17 - In Altmode]
Arcee is also the only Autobot to utilise a holoform of some kind, likely because she’s a motorcycle.
Optimus Prime [02:27 - In Altmode]
Ratchet [02:34 - In Altmode]
Bulkhead [02:43 - In Altmode]
Bumblebee [02:44 - In Altmode]
Starscream [03:38 - In Root Mode]
Soundwave [05:37 - In Root Mode]
Jack [07:12]
Raf [11:42]
Miko [15:43]
Megatron [21:08 - In Altmode]
At 00:46 Arcee mentions that Cliffjumper escaping from a car boot in front of the New York City police would be breaking Autobot rule #1. While this is a general set of rules established while the Autobots are on Earth, I personally like to think that this is Transformers Prime’s version of the Autobot Code.
“Do I ever need backup?” - Cliffjumper. He’s going to eat those words in about three minutes. Also it’s a damn shame they specifically picked Mr. The Rock Johnson as Cliffjumper’s voice actor because I think he would’ve been an interesting character had he been allowed to live. Obviously they probably already decided that he was going to be voiced by such a big name actor before they fully sorted out plot details so it makes sense that he would be the one to die considering it would be way too expensive to keep having him be voiced but still…
Ngl I forgot how gangly Starscream’s model is. Put some meat on his bones please, he’s too skinny.
I completely forgot that Cliffjumper calls him Scream, which is oddly endearing. Like obviously it could just be a demeaning nickname riffing off of Starscream’s grating voice but Starscream doesn’t react that much to being called that, in fact he reacts more to Cliffjumper asking where Megatron is.
RIP Cliffjumper, you were there for all of four minutes and twenty five seconds. You will not be missed by me babygirl.
I need to reign in my hatred of TFP Soundwave or I’m going to get hunted for sport by someone.
Optimus’ comment about them being the last five Autobots on Earth is interesting to me because it implies that there used to be more. Cliffjumper said at the beginning of the episode that it had been three years since the Decepticons were spotted but I don’t remember if it was ever stated how long exactly the Autobots have been on Earth.
I didn’t notice that Bumblebee’s shoulders are actually his tire kibble, that’s very cute.
“Optimus, helping humans will only result in more tragedy.” Ratchet is so real for this actually. I love it when there’s an Autobot who just wants to leave and doesn’t give a fuck about Earth or humanity, at least not in the typical “Oh these tiny organics need assistance from the big scary Decepticons.”
$5.59 for two fast food meals. Fucking god I wish that was real. Burger is so expensive nowadays.
Arcee tilts her side mirrors when she’s being tailed by those two vehicons and now I’m wondering if those are were her optical sensors reroute when she’s in altmode. Also she named her holoform Saddy! That’s fucking adorable.
Sierra’s comment of “you know my name?” Is actually so funny to me as someone who lives in a small town. Because Jasper, Nevada is described as a small town. There seems to be only one school there and if it’s anything like my small town, you’ll know every single person’s name because you see them a lot. Jack also says that they’re in homeroom together which makes Sierra’s comment even funnier because like… girl? Do you know how homeroom works, you’re gonna know everyone there. So either the writers have never lived in a small town or Sierra is just a cunt thinks remembering people’s names is a weird thing.
“I don’t exist, tell anyone about me and I’ll hunt you down!” FUCKING LMFAO???? ARCEE YOU CAN’T THREATEN TO HUNT DOWN A CHILD!
I think they should’ve kept Jack as the guy who really doesn’t understand Cybertronians and kept getting freaked out by them. Like both Miko and Raf are very comfortable around Cybertronians from the get go but Jack is very much terrified by everything that is going on. But once he starts getting more comfortable around them he looses one of his main interesting character traits which is a shame.
The fact that Raf’s mom just lets him play near a busy interstate kinda scares me. Like… does she not worry about car accidents? I’m probably overthinking that but still… surely there are parks or playgrounds or literally anywhere else that he could play.
I’m still so mad that they made Arcee so twinky and small. She should be beefy and strong and she could still be short but ough… buff woman.
I still think about the fact that Raf can just understand Bumblebee right off the bat. Like it’s cute and I’m glad they had one human who could understand him but like…explanation???? Even power of friendship would work.
Bulkhead <3
Miko should’ve been the main human send tweet. Her whole thing with being a host student would’ve made for a really interesting plot considering the fact that the Autobots literally have a teleportation device that can transport people to anywhere in the world.
I can’t not squeal a little at how cute Miko and Bulkhead are. Like the way he tenses up just a bit and steps back as she runs up to him completely unafraid. That is peak dynamic there.
I want to put Ratchet in a blender. As a treat <3
Someone needs to put Megatron down. Also why is he shouting in the middle of space???? There’s no one there. This is for the audience only and is really funny to think about in universe. The first thing this dramatic fuck does upon emerging from the space bridge is transform and yap about being back.
Other Notes!
Okay just going to ramble for a second as to why the TFP models keep throwing me off. It’s because they’re visually inconsistent. Not in the sense that the models are inconsistent from scene to scene, but because the backgrounds, bots, and humans are all in different styles. The Autobots and Decepticons are all these super highly rendered shiny metal with incredibly detailed textures that have scratches and dents and a bunch of little parts that all move or animate slightly as the character moves.
However, the humans of TFP look like plastic. I think Raf’s hair best portrays this because it has a ton of volume and yet it just sort of sits there, like it was superglued into place. The character’s skin is also really one dimensional, it’s just a single texture. And then the backgrounds, while realistic like the bots, are very…Fallout esc, if that makes sense. They’re simplistic in a way that I don’t really think blends well with the characters.
This isn’t actually meant to be a critique of the show’s art style. Humans are wildly complicated to animate and I imagine most of the budget for animating and rigging went into making the Cybertronians look as cool as possible since they’re the main selling point of the show. It’s just a small thing I picked up on while looking at this show again.
I will forever bitch about their lack of noses till the cows come home. Optimus opened his mask at 05:00 and I immediately recoiled in horror. Like I don’t think Opitmus looks particularly good without his mask in any continuity, but in TFP it’s especially bad. I understand what they were doing with the lack of noses, it makes them more uncanny and therefore makes them feel more alien to the audience. But unlike the Bayverse models, which have faces broken up by tiny little shifting pieces that masks some of that uncomfortable uncanniness, the TFP models have a single flat texture as their face plate which leads to them feeling off in my opinion. Megatron suffers the worst from this because I can only look at him and see one of those horribly bred dogs that have super fucked up genetics.
But this is all personal opinion, I know plenty of people really like the TFP designs and that’s entirely fair. I gotta give props and credits to the team who rigged and animated the models because they did an incredible job. Shoutout to the hands in this series because they are as sexy as they come. And the optics of this series are also incredible!!! Love it when Cybertronians get optics that cycle and spin around.
The voice acting is also a highlight! TFP had a great english cast and I really enjoy most of the voices. Currently Arcee is my favourite because she has a ton of screen time in the first episode and her voice actress really has the snarky, dry sarcasm down pat.
-burnt ice anon (this is 1.5k words of notes dear lord)
this is so much longer and more comprehensive than i expected ashjvdhahahh. i gotta say i agree with a lot. the humans look waxy, but i always just deal with it by reminding myself of budgeting issues.... the fact that the bots dont have noses truly annoys me as someone who always starts drawing faces nose first, and also i just feel like that would make kissing weird. they're sucking on each other's flat faces and stuff. And Arcee should've been beefier‼️ but no matter, she really is one of their best characters.
also can i say, since we started with the designs... i think the bots are Too big compared to their altmodes. i keep noticing it over and over again, they're too big. okay, i am literally watching an episode right now and my point was proven because the tire in Ratchet's forearm was literally bigger than Raf. Not how big tires are. Anyways,

crunch reading just to be back on track
Good afternoon!
Yes, I know. This is a lot later than my usual blogging time. You could say things had gotten busier around here since I woke up this morning. It's 3:46 PM here as I'm writing here. But I did read for today. I think that's a good thing. I tried to read as much as I can while doing things around here.
As for my reading update from yesterday,  I got to finish reading several books! What do you know? Then again, three of them were just the shortest books from my old currently reading list that were added since the early 2024, to be honest. You could say I'm in a hurry to be on track with my Goodreads Reading Challenge for this year. And what better for me to do that?
Read short books. But three out of the four books I've finished reading yesterday were self-help books. And one of them has something to do with writing. And obviously, since I did crunch reading (as I'd like to call it) yesterday, it was obvious that I surpassed my page count quota yesterday. With this, now I'm thinking of raising the maximum number of pages for me to read to either 80 or 90. Definitely not 100 as it was still too much for my brain.
Tumblr media
Let me rate the books I've read yesterday. I mean, I know I did it in Goodreads already. But I also want to do it here.
"The 12 Week Year" by Brian P. Moran and Michael Lennington - ⭐⭐⭐, but only because it only made my brain like a mush and maybe I just felt pressured in a way as I was reading the whole thing. I mean, the idea was great that you can actually do a lot of things in about 3 months. But maybe I wasn't in the right mindset just yet to implement the process to myself at the moment. For now, I would consider doing the process in the future, especially since I do view myself a failure at my age of 33.
"5,000 Words Per Hour: Write Faster, Write Smarter" by Chris Fox - ⭐⭐⭐, but the idea was definitely something I can do when I'm writing. I actually first heard about this book because of Kate Cavanaugh's video when she tried to write 5,000 words an hour like Chris Fox. But it actually took me a while to finish reading the whole thing. I don't know what made me stop reading this, to be honest. And I know it's other than my reading slump. Should I blame my writing slump/writer's block on that, as well? But yes, I know I can only write around 3,000 words maximum in one day. Why? I tend to write my stories by hand first. It has been a habit since high school and I don't think I've ever outgrown that. But I could still do the practices here in this book in my writing just so I can use that as a reason to discipline my writer self. So the books still helped me in some way.
"Romancing The Beats: Story Structure for Romance Novels" by Gwen Hayes - This one was a definite ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for me, only because it does provided me more insight than I ever thought I needed when it comes to writing romance stories. I mean, you could say that romance is sort of my forte in writing stories. It was the genre that I started writing back in high school. Yes, I'm thanking Kate Cavanaugh once again for me discovering this book for writers. And I think she outlined her first romance novel with this as a guide. I still haven't started outlining any romance stories with the beats in this book. But I will get to that ㅡ once I managed to get my writing groove back.
The second volume of "By The Grace Of The Gods" is also done, and I've rated it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ in Goodreads. Hmm... Maybe because I wasn't some of the characters to appear here early that I've only seen on the second season of the anime version. Another thing that could've affected the original 5 stars rating was the initial assumption I had that anime version encompassed the first two volumes of the light novel. I was wrong. This volume seemed to be encompassing only 3 episodes since it has something to do with the continuation of the monster subjugation and starting the laundry store. The real problem for me? Information overload on the store building part.
That's a lot for me to even write here, you know. But I thought I should add my comments (even if it's short) on each of the book I would finish reading. Yes, even my own ratings on the books done reading.
It's currently raining hard as I write here, but let's get on with the next part. As for th book I continued reading, I actually read 18 pages of the fifth volume of "The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen" at past midnight, as I've mentioned in my blog entry yesterday. I didn't add more pages done reading on that book after that since I concentrated reading more on the other books. So no comments and ratings just yet.
Tumblr media
I really should try raising the maximum number for a bit, but I would definitely not let it reach 100 for my brain's sake. But with all that I've read today, I think I already reached this page count quota today. I'll let you know about the books I read tomorrow.
Just to give you a heads up ㅡ they were mainly novellas. Blame my frustration for constantly seeing the number of books behind schedule in my Goodreads Reading Challenge. So this was my solution to finally beat that.
Yes, I know this entry is already way too late than my usual posting time. But it's only past 5 in the afternoon here in 🇵🇭, so it's still within the day.
Let's see if I can post here during my usual early posting time. See you tomorrow! Happy reading. 😊✌️💕📚📖

'Supernatural' Creator Teases Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki's Reunion on 'The Boys'
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The stars could very well align for Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki to appear onscreen together for the first time since Supernatural ended in 2020. During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Supernatural creator Eric Kripke — who also created the The Boys — said “it’s fair” to say that not only could Padalecki, 41, join the Prime Video series for its fifth and final season, but it’s also possible he’ll reunite onscreen with Ackles, who has previously appeared in The Boys and the spin-off show Gen V as Soldier Boy. "The value of that is to break the internet. So we'll see whether it's right for the story," Kripke told the outlet. "But yes, it's occurred to me that putting those two in a scene together would destroy much of the world, and that's appealing." Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy on 'The Boys.'. Courtesy of Prime Video Padalecki, for his part, was very transparent in an interview with Deadline on June 21 whether he'd be interested in joining The Boys. “The answer is yes,” he said. "I think at this point in my acting life, I only want to work on projects that I really care about or with people that I really care about, and obviously Eric and I are indelibly connected forever," the actor added. Padalecki — whose CW action drama series, Walker, comes to end after four seasons on June 26 — went on to share why appearing on The Boys would be fitting given his work with Kripke, 50, and Ackles, 46, on Supernatural. “I mean, he created Supernatural. He created Sam Winchester. He created Ruby , who I ended up marrying and starting a family with,” he said. “I adore him. I adore his humor. I adore him as a person, his storytelling. So I can’t wait. I don’t think films until next year, but I will be ready when he makes the phone call. I’ll just say, ‘Okay, when am I flying out?'” Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles on 'Supernatural.'. Warner Bros Tv/Kobal/Shutterstock It wouldn’t be the first time an actor from Supernatural has popped up on The Boys. Jeffrey Dean Morgan appears as Kessler this season but Kripke acknowledged things are still coming together for season 5. “I don't have the role for him yet just because we haven't cooked it up,” he said. “We're still really early in the season 5 break, but it does seem like the planets are aligning. Barring any unforeseen disaster, it seems like it'll happen. Again, I don't know what the character is, I don't know if it's one episode or more. I genuinely know a total of zero about all of that. I'm not being coy. I really don't know." Notes from Soo and Adam’s talk for Terror Camp: Spring Edition
Here are my (extensive) notes from the Terror Camp talk with Soo and Adam. Even though the event only lasted a little over an hour, I took four pages of notes because they had so much that was interesting to say. The video will be available soon, but I wanted to type this up.
·      Both Adam and Soo are looking great. Soo had a very interesting lamp and what appeared to be an anime poster (?) in the background. Adam was in a house with a gorgeous garden.
·      First question was what job would Soo and Adam like to have on a 19th century ship. Soo said probably caulking, definitely not cooking. Adam wanted Collins’s job and being able to go into the diving apparatus under water. If not that, the captain.
·      For favorite relationships on the show, Adam said Crozier and Franklin, especially their scene in Episode 3. Soo said Bridgens and Peglar, especially how people’s perceptions of that relationship changed over the series, as well as Crozier and Fitzjames, especially the Victory Point scene. Adam agreed.
·      Soo also added Crozier and Hickey. Adam noted how he realized during filming that Crozier and Hickey are only alone together twice, once in the cabin in Episode 2 and then the tent in Episode 10.
·      About Adam’s earlier comment about Crozier and Hickey being soulmates, Hickey was very much of the belief that the world was made for him, that he dropped out of the sky and everything revolved around him, and that included Crozier. Crozier was so many things wrapped up in one: mentor, friend, potential lover, father, mortal enemy, and someone Hickey ultimately had to overcome.

Do you have like… a suggested reading list/order. For hellblazer comics and related media. Literally I’ve looked around and all I’ve found is that I simply Do Not trust Comic Men and their opinions
okay hello anon. this is a LONG POST and an updated/more thorough version of This List right here, so i'll be tagging @nuntox tox my beloved, again. ( & because im a bloody saint everything’s got non-t0rrent links(: )
Tumblr media
John was formally introduced in the Saga of the Swamp thing book three, and while I have, not actually read any of Swamp thing I’m told it’s like, a good enough read.
And, naturally, a good place to start with john is his titular comic, Hellblazer.
Hellblazer is like, it sure is a Vertigo comic. And If you haven’t read any of the other titular Vertigo comics (i.e: Preacher or Sandman) and you go into this blind, know that this comic is uh, not for the very easily offended/the faint of heart, I should say. I WILL say that I only recommend reading up until Hellblazer #250 because Peter Milligan absolutely destroys John and it’s bad it’s terrible it’s disgusting peter milligan my behated.
To give you some kind of frame of reference for John as he is in Hellblazer, the first arc he’s given is the reference point for the Constantine “Feast of Friends” episode in which John feeds his best friend to a demon in order to get rid of it. This arc is honestly. Very good, personally outside of the Obvious “Man” shit that happens, I think Jamie Delano is a fantastic writer and that first arc is a really good introduction to who John is and what John will do moving on from then. A fun factoid i love sharing too is that John’s canon bisexuality of today comes from a throwaway line in the early issues of Hellblazer and a terrible arc where he has sex with a bruce wayne parody.
Anyway, if you just kind of want to dip your toes into Hellblazer, then (I’m only halfway through Jamie Delano’s run in my reread so this is all from memory of like. 2013 when i raw-dogged hellblazer.)
The most popular arc of John’s is Dangerous Habits, written by my arch nemesis Garth Ennis, which spans Hellblazer #41-#46 (collected in the Vol. 5 link) . And frankly it is also a very well done arc. (if i remember right, this is where Matt Ryan bases his portrayal of John from and also what inspired the 2005 movie starring Keanu Reeves, Constantine. They also kind of sped-ran John through a similar thing in Legends of Tomorrow 5x05.)
And a few of my personal favourite John arcs are:
The Family Man (Hellblazer #28-30, collected in the Vol. 4 link)
Freezes Over (Hellblazer #158-161, collected in the Vol. 14 link)
High on Life / Red Sepulchre (Hellblazer #175-180, collected in the Vol. 16 link)
Staring at the Wall (Hellblazer #189-193, collected in the Vol. 17 link)
Overall, Mike Carey’s run of Hellblazer was by-far my favourite. Although honestly for the full John experience I really would recommend just. Reading through issue #250 of Hellblazer.
And if you’re at all interested, the really bad arc john has with the bruce wayne parody is Lapdogs and Englishmen (Hellblazer #162-163) & Highwater (Hellblazer #164-167) ((both collected in the Vol. 15 link)) however. if my memory serves. there is a CW for drug use without consent, rape, and nazism. There’s nothing graphic, but. Well. remember what I said earlier?
Good Hellblazer spin-offs are:
All His Engines
City of Demons
And there’s also like. The Books of Magic and other things that John makes appearances in but I will be honest with you I never looked into any of that stuff. It’s out there though.
NOW. that was just hellblazer. Here’s what they did with john for the nu52 and onward.
There was a solo Constantine series for the new52 literally just called “Constantine” and it ran for four volumes, but I also wouldn’t recommend reading it just because my memory of it is that they made john a little bitch.
The same goes for the nu52 Justice League Dark like. It ran 6 volumes. it was a cool concept but just. meh.
The second john nu52 thing released was Constantine: The Hellblazer and i don’t think i finished reading it back when it was being released but i remember it being fun!! this is the modern comic that gives john a boyfriend.
Now that we’re past the nu52, they brought Justice League Dark back and Diana is there??? I don’t know what’s going on here or if john is even THERE but you’re welcome to have a look.
There’s also the Hellblazer Rebirth comic and it sucks i hate it i didnt like it it sucks tim seeley CHOKE challenge.
There is the Sandman Universe presents: Hellblazer Series and NOW THIS. THIS IS WORTHY OF THE HELLBLAZER TITLE. it’s a solid narrative that’s woven to be JUST like classic hellblazer. i read the rebirth comic before this and it was SUCH a refreshing read, it’s very john. it’s a solid read.
And lastly, comic-wise, for now, HELLBLAZER RISE AND FALL MY BEST FRIEND HELLBLAZER RISE AND FALL THIS IS WHY I HAVE FALLEN BACK INTO THE HELLBLAZER HYPERFIXATION HERE HE IS MY LITTLE BOY MY LITTLE MEOW MEOW MY BELOVED MY EVERYTHING HE IS MY EVERYTHING YOUR HONOUR!!!!!!!!!!
(issue two, issue three)
And that’s it, comics-wise. Now, onto further john media. the MRCU, the matt ryan cinematic universe, if u will.
John is in these DCAU films, voiced by Matt Ryan,
Justice League Dark
Justice League Dark - Apokolips War
Constantine: City of Demons (fun fact about this one, you see the two Hellblazer spin-offs I listed above? This movie’s not based on the one you’d think.)
TBH all these movies kinda suck but I love john and matt!john and of the three of them justice league dark is the best one.
EDIT: OKAY SHAME ME FOR THIS ONE BUT I ALWAYS FIGURE THIS ONE IS A GIVEN BUT I DID LITERALLY LEAVE OUT NBC CONSTANTINE FROM THIS LIST.
THE PILOT IS TERRIBLE AND THE SECOND EPISODE IS INSANELY RACIST but. but. it DOES pick up by the midseason onward and papa midnite and jim corrigan and zed are so sexy and for WHAT.
John can also be found on DCTV in the arrowverse and these shows/episodes are:
arrow 4x05 (his introduction to DCTV)
legends of tomorrow 3x09, 3x10, 3x15, 3x18 (at only the end i believe), Season 4, Season 5, Season 6
john is in the crisis on infinite earths dctv crossover eps for short segements (i.e: the infamous lucifer cameo) and those are: batwoman 1x09 & the flash 6x09
And, Phew. I believe that’s all I got for you anon.

The relationships between the Adventure group and the 02 group
Tumblr media
As much as it would sound romantic to group the older Adventure six and the younger 02 juniors into one huge “group of twelve” all of the time, it’s undeniable that there’s a boundary between them, especially since there’s a different internal dynamic within each group as well -- of course, for important events or incidents like Diablomon Strikes Back, they’re capable of getting together as a whole, and they hand off information and call on each other freely for support over the course of 02, but once we start getting into “social life relationships”, things get a bit more complicated. Overall, we all know that the juniors adore and respect their seniors, and the seniors are happy to mentor and support their juniors, but the way each of the older Adventure six approaches the younger kids has an interesting variance from person to person!
Overall
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The other sections of this post deal with how each of the “02 quartet” (Daisuke, Miyako, Iori, and Ken, or in other words the four Tokyo Chosen Children introduced in 02) interacts with individual seniors, but in general it should be established that each of the Adventure and 02 groups is always comfortable calling in the other for backup or assistance if necessary. This is especially accentuated in 02 episode 46 (when Daisuke ropes Taichi and the others into helping them do a full-on stakeout of the Dark Seed kids all over Tokyo, which is a lot of work), and Diablomon Strikes Back (when the initial mission was very obviously intended to have the older kids at the forefront and the younger ones as backup, before things went south).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s also indicated multiple times over the course of 02 that “sharing information” is a huge priority for everyone, especially with the D-Terminals in play that allow people to keep people in the loop about what’s going on, so that backup can be called in at any time -- see how quickly information passes from the juniors to the seniors during the crisis in 02 episode 7, or how Takeru and Hikari constantly keep each other posted on the situation and their whereabouts in the first half of Hurricane Touchdown. (This is especially when you keep in mind the real-life context that, in 2000, it wasn’t common yet for the average elementary school student to have a cell phone, so 02 deliberately inserted the D-Terminals into the lore so that this kind of communication could be possible, further tying into the overall franchise theme of the impact of technology on society.) There is no issue in 02 that’s caused by lack of communication (at least, unless it involves someone being emotionally unable to communicate), because of how quickly, easily, and constantly everyone is kept in the loop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Each group is a valuable resource for backup in any situation, and both groups have a clear and obvious sentiment of “wanting to help as much as they can” and “not wanting to be useless”; the Adventure seniors constantly express frustration over the course of the first half of 02 that they can’t do more, and do their best to provide as much support as they can within the restraints of the situation. Once evolutionary restrictions are lifted in the final quarter of the series and everyone goes on winter break, the older Adventure seniors start making a significantly larger number of appearances and directly getting involved without even needing to be asked; since everyone clearly wants to help each other out, there's no reason to refrain from seeking all of the help one can get. By the time of Kizuna, Daisuke (and, if the storyboards are to be believed, Ken too) is still on Koushirou’s call list even if he’s not present for that single incident, and Yamato loops them in to help scout on Menoa in New York since they’re in the right place in the right time.
Tumblr media
This is especially in the case of Koushirou, the team’s resident analyst, who can only do his analyses if he has all of the information he can possibly get; since the 02 kids can do certain things that he or the others can’t, he often asks them to do favors for him or provide him with info (such as borrowing Miyako’s D-3 in 02 episode 4, or having Daisuke test out opening a gate at the Yagami residence in 02 episode 17, or picking Ken’s brain in 02 episode 33) so that he has more to work with. It is generally advantageous for Koushirou to get as much as he can on the table and make use of, and since he has an important role in 02 as a personnel manager and team organizer, it’s in his best interest to use the 02 group as guinea pigs make extensive use of their own abilities, as much as he can.
With Daisuke
Daisuke is a very deferential person in general, so him treating his elders with utmost respect and deferring to them is kind of like saying water is wet, but there are some relationships in particular that stand out!
Tumblr media
Daisuke being Taichi’s soccer junior and “inheritor” of both his Crest of Courage and his goggles is of course one of the most iconic and well-known parts of 02, but it’s interesting to see how Taichi treats Daisuke in return. While it’s unclear if Taichi knew him as anything but yet another of his soccer juniors prior to the events of 02, there’s a lot to be said about how Taichi hands over his goggles without hesitation -- as much as we as the audience associate this with “leadership”, the 02 group doesn’t actually have a leader from an in-story perspective, and, in-universe, Taichi gave him his own goggles on account of the fact that Daisuke was a “new Chosen Child”...and also the fact Daisuke had just broken his own and he presumably felt bad for him. (How much Taichi was consciously aware that Daisuke was doing it specifically to imitate him will be left to your imagination, because Daisuke never actually vocalizes this to his face.)
That’s a pretty big deal of a thing to do, given that even if you don’t necessarily believe there’s a huge sentimental backstory behind those goggles, Taichi took off an item he’d been wearing for at least seven years and just handed them over! So in other words, Taichi really did believe in Daisuke’s potential enough to entrust him with something this important.
Tumblr media
We also see Taichi come to watch Daisuke’s game against the Tamachi team in 02 episode 8, and it should be pointed out that Taichi, being from Odaiba Middle School, had no practical reason to be at this game -- as far as the kids knew at the time, Ken had no connection to any of the Digital World incidents, and it was just a game that they all attended to give Daisuke their moral support, and so Taichi was mainly just here to watch how his junior would do in such an important match and give him advice. (Although, as Daisuke points out later in the episode, he’s pretty strict, too.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eight years later in Kizuna, in a scene where it’s established that Taichi is drifting enough from of the others to the point Yamato has to update him on them (Sora and Takeru), Taichi still seems to be roughly aware of what’s going on with Daisuke, despite neither of them playing soccer anymore -- and, of course, Daisuke seems to have always had utmost faith in him. (Also, Daisuke seems to have returned the goggles; we’ll leave to the imagination what might have led to that.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some interesting history about Daisuke’s relationship with the soccer club members: as per 02 episode 2, he was already at least roughly acquainted with Sora prior to her switching her sport to tennis, and, if the Adventure novels are to be believed, he was apparently already a member at the time of Adventure in 1999 (likely as an “unofficial member”, given that he would have been too young to formally enroll in it until Taichi had already graduated). If this is true, this would make him likely to be roughly acquainted with Koushirou as well. He was, at the very least, also around to overhear Taichi discussing the Digimon (although we don’t actually have all that much evidence that anyone was working that hard to keep it a secret).
According to Spring 2003, Daisuke is said to have picked up his goggles in imitation of “the person wearing goggles” whom he witnessed from afar during the Odaiba fog incident three years prior, not necessarily Taichi as his soccer club senior -- meaning that he may not have immediately recognized that they were the same person (although that certainly begs the question of how many people in Odaiba wear goggles; given that Daisuke seemed to just have a pair lying around at home, perhaps this is a normal fashion statement?). Taichi is portrayed as being much better at soccer than Daisuke is (Taichi was already a soccer captain in his fifth year while Daisuke didn’t even become a regular until his sixth), and so learning that they’re the same person at some point presumably solidified Daisuke’s personal image of Taichi as an absolutely incredible senior to look up to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daisuke infamously starts off on a bad note with Yamato in 02 episode 4 -- he insults an older sibling, something Yamato takes very personally, and it’s a bad mix of Daisuke’s abrasive demeanor and Yamato’s emotional passion -- but by the time of 02 episode 11, it all seems to be water under the bridge as Yamato treats Daisuke very endearingly after watching the process of him earning the Digimental of Friendship. (While it’s not stated in words, one might imagine that Yamato also became a lot more forgiving of Daisuke not being very respectful of Jun after personally witnessing how much of a handful she could be in 02 episode 7.) And, as Daisuke’s technically the inheritor of his Crest of Friendship, it’s interesting to point out that Daisuke arguably shares as many of Yamato’s personality traits as Taichi; he’s an intensely emotional person (far more so than Taichi is), and has somewhat of an awkward way of expressing himself.
Tumblr media
Yamato is also the Adventure group member who maintains contact with the 02 quartet over the course of Kizuna, and with Daisuke as the main representative calling back, he naturally goes straight into “happy puppy mode” the moment one of his seniors calls to ask him a favor. The novel refers to the 02 group as “reliable juniors they can count on” (which we can imagine reflects Yamato’s mindset at this point), and he also makes sure to check on whether the 02 group hasn’t also been subject to the ring of light issue, out of curiosity but also worry.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While it’s less immediately apparent, Daisuke also forms a recurring relationship with Mimi. Interestingly, most of their interactions have to do with Mimi’s location in the US, with Mimi teasing him in an email in Hurricane Touchdown and inviting him to come over, Daisuke helping Mimi and Michael out in 02 episode 40, and Mimi getting a lot of mileage and fun out of teasing him in The Door to Summer (this trip is implied to at least partially have been planned with meeting Mimi in mind; perhaps Daisuke was following up on that email one year prior). All of this happening with no translator; one might say that Daisuke seems to be good at befriending Americans in New York, which is interesting when you consider that his English is implied to be reasonably good, and the fact he eventually opens his ramen shop in New York...
Both he and Mimi are pretty like-minded overall, being very pure-hearted people who love supporting others and are never condescending or consciously rude to others, so it’s easy to see why they’d get along.
With Miyako
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rather famously, Koushirou was Miyako’s computer club senior prior to the events of 02, and she still looks up to him and adores him (she even goes out of her way to bring souvenir yatsuhashi from Kyoto for him in 02 episode 34). Koushirou’s handling of her is rather professional -- he calls her “Miyako-kun” -- but this is, in general, more of a symptom of the fact that Koushirou isn’t exactly the kind of person who shows open affection for anyone, and he’s still dealing with the fact that he used to compulsively push people away, so being able to talk to anyone neutrally like this is already kind of a big step.
Tumblr media
This is especially because he’s got a pretty huge investment in the kids in general -- he’s one of the most visible of the seniors in 02, and while part of it is also because of his specialty in computers and his inquisitive personality driving him to take a very direct role in things, he also rails at the kids in worry in 02 episode 7 and continues to support the kids with actual support, providing them things they might find helpful or useful. So, in effect, it’s just that Koushirou has his own ways of showing support for his juniors, especially since his character arc has heavily to do with developing a skill in coordinating others.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miyako continues working in the computer club under Koushirou even after entering middle school, and, eight years later in Kizuna, it seems that Koushirou is actively maintaining contact with Miyako (in the opening, he’s the one directly shown initiating contact via email), since she’s personally helping him with Chosen Child community management. There’s no computer club anymore and the group isn’t necessarily working as a cohesive group all of the time either, so this is something they’re actively involved in together...and Miyako is clearly comfortable enough to dump work that she doesn’t want to do on him. (He doesn’t seem to mind that much.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miyako first meets Mimi in 02 episode 6 and immediately latches onto her without hesitation, to the point of fantasizing about their relationship and labeling her “Mimi-oneesama” (big sister Mimi) thereafter. (Note that she only does this when it’s a very casual or playful situation, since 02 episode 14 later establishes that she’ll go back to the usual “Mimi-san” when things get more serious or her mood is worse.) Mimi answers to Miyako’s affection easily, given their similar temperaments, and they get along swimmingly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We get a little more insight as to Miyako’s feelings on Mimi in 02 episode 14, where Miyako spends the duration of it negatively comparing her own behavior and personality to Mimi's kinder and more mature way of handling things, implying that she sees Mimi as an example to follow that she sees herself as not sufficiently reaching. Notably, in 02 episode 25, when Mimi takes charge and uses Miyako’s D-Terminal to request Ken’s help, Miyako doesn’t protest at all; it of course wasn’t helped by the fact Miyako herself was tussling with mixed feelings on Ken, but it’s worth pointing out that, after all of the vehement verbal arguing about the issue, Miyako respects Mimi’s decision enough to not protest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miyako also bonds a bit with Sora, both during her initial process of receiving her first Digimental in 02 episode 2, and during them working together in 02 episode 42. Miyako doesn’t seem to put her on as much of a pedestal as Mimi, but still very much defers to and respects her stance, and Sora is happy to indulge around and bond with her (note how casually she carries herself around Miyako).
Tumblr media
While we don’t see them interact much in the series proper, Miyako reveals in 02 episode 29 that she does sound engineering work for Yamato’s band (in conjunction with Koushirou), which she continues doing after entering middle school in Spring 2003 -- although it seems she’s having a hard time getting him (and everyone else) to embrace techno.
With Iori
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Among the Adventure seniors, Iori’s most notable relationship is with Jou, which is pretty interesting on its face given that this is the largest possible age gap among any two from this group (Iori is 9, Jou 15). Yet the two are put together in major situations no less than three times -- 02 episodes 5, 16, and 41 -- and with the first two depicting Jou as having a major role in mentoring Iori, in regards to the importance of personal choice and responsibility in being a Chosen Child (02 episode 5), and the conflict between moral principles and practicality (02 episode 16). A lot of the gist of Jou’s and Iori’s character arcs and dispositions are quite similar -- Jou himself struggled with trying to adhere to arbitrary standards without regard to practicality back in Adventure, and it’s because of this that he can figure out Iori’s mentality and reach out to him in a way he understands. For Iori, being a polite and respectful person in general, it’s only natural to expect that he would take very well to Jou being an admirable and honest model citizen.
Tumblr media
Iori also receives his initial Digimental consultation from Koushirou in 02 episode 3, and, like with how Daisuke and Miyako also have some degree of personality traits relevant to the characters they inherit their Crests from, Iori also has some characteristics that evoke Koushirou as well, most prominently his tendency towards politeness and deference (albeit for different reasons). While they don’t end up following similar paths for the rest of the series due to Koushirou’s “curiosity” being more about intellectual knowledge and Iori’s “curiosity” being more about human behavior and psychology, Koushirou does correctly identify Iori as having the potential for that kind of inquisitiveness in said episode long before the relevant character arc clearly sets in, allowing Iori to claim the Digimental of Knowledge.
With Ken
Due to the late position of when he’d joined the team and the even later position in which everyone came to like him, Ken isn’t shown necessarily bonding too deeply with many of the seniors, although it’s clear that they all came around for him in the end. That said, some of his limited interactions or interactions by proxy with the seniors end up fairly notable:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ken has a long and extended chat with Koushirou in 02 episode 33, which is interesting because it’s a point in time when not even everyone in the 02 group itself was particularly receptive to him yet (at the time Hikari and Takeru were still maintaining silence on their stance on him, and Iori still ironing out a lot of complicated feelings about his presence). Yet Koushirou has no qualms whatsoever approaching him and picking his brain about what he knows, since Ken, as a hitherto unknown factor with a lot of background information that Koushirou could make extensive use of, has a lot to offer him. That said, he’s not just using Ken as a resource for intellectual purposes; Koushirou offers him emotional goodwill in his own way, hearing about how Oikawa had targeted Ken and even lamenting that it would have been better if the older kids had reached out to him first.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During 02 episode 25, Mimi makes an active bid to reach out to Ken when Golemon is about to destroy the dam, in the midst of everyone having an argument over whether to allow him to help (and not only that, she’s vehement about doing so). Recall that Mimi is forgiving to a fault, allowing herself to get beaten up by Digitamamon in 02 episode 14 and refusing to give up on him despite knowing he was actively brainwashed -- so it stands to reason that she’s actually one of the most receptive to Ken, even moreso than the more emotionally overwhelmed Miyako, and offering him a chance to join in (she’s never really been depicted as the type to hold grudges).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During Iori’s consultation of him in 02 episode 35, Yamato makes a remark regarding Ken pointing out that he and Takeru have technically gone through the same experience in witnessing the death of a partner, which means he’s actually willing to cast Ken in a sympathetic light at this point! Once Ken has integrated more smoothly with the others, Yamato and Ken work together in 02 episode 42, and they get along swimmingly with zero discomfort at all (not only that, Yamato’s dropped the honorific, going from 02 episode 35′s “Ichijouji-kun” to the more casual “Ichijouji”). Not bad!

I usually don’t write things like this but what in the actual fck did I just watch.
So sorry for SPOILERS. Please don’t read if you haven’t watched it.
I had expected the special to be 1 hour like what the sources has said but to my utter amazement the special is a 46 minute long animation with half of it being a recap of wonder egg. I understand that the animators are tired and must be pressured to create the anime so I was fine with it as I also am going to be working in an industry where we have to put our work on time.
I skipped the half of it since it was just a recap. I still don’t understand why we need a recap but for the new viewers, I guess that is fair.
We see Neiru playing with her rabbit shoes before it shifts to her and Ai in front of a shop before she left her with a mouse named Adam who we never seen again in the ova.
Next we are introduced to Koito. At first, when I saw her ignoring Ai, I immediately began to speculate she was a jerk or that Ai was just imagining it. I watched again, and I really could say Koito was a bit....weird. It was said that she created trouble to her teacher in another school and when she was on the roof top, she said she was ‘raped’ by Mr. Sawaki who I think was narrating that part(please correct me if I am wrong) Neiru also forgot about Ai? I don’t know why but when my phone played ‘The One that got away’ by Katy Perry, it made that scene and Ai’s scene with Koito perfect. My thoughts were dismissed when I learned that those who were revived had forgotten who the wonder egg girls were.
It’s great and all but it doesn’t make sense. Did the other people forget they died or did they just act like they didn’t die? Like the girls, their memories were replaced.
My friend thought Neiru was Koito’s sister since they both forgot who Ai was. She was wrong when we found out that it was Neiru’s younger sister, Airu, who in fact is really a jerk in real life. Should have stayed dead hon.
We then see Ai throw her phone to the ground(sayangas money) before it shifts to her sniffing a cigarette. I think she smoked, it wasn’t show but it looked like it. After that scene, we see her with Rika and Momoe and I’m glad they were still friends.
This is we’re it gets weird. Kotobuki is there, alive, in Neiru’s house but she isn’t the Kotobuki of their world, she’s the parallel version.
Okay did we need her? No. Is she irrelevant? Yes. I’m still confused why she was there. Was this just to prove a point that there are parallel words? This is so weird and I have a lot of questions.
We now know Neiru’s whereabouts, she’s in the egg world. Ai receives a call from her but she ignores it. After that she throws her fricking phone off the balcony. Again, in my term, that’s a waste of money. Shea then cries in her mother’s lap about regretting doing it.
Ai then transfers to a new school, she arrives at the store where she last sees Neiru. Memories with Rika, Momoe, Koito, and her wonder egg experiences play in her mind before it shifted to a smiling Neiru. She then looks at the capsule, runs to ACCA and Uracca’s place, and goes on her quest to see Neiru again. She then says, “Ai Ohto is back” before smiling at the camera.
And this where the credits role. Cliffhanger isn’t it? We are left with so many unanswered questions and it still made us confuse.
I sat there in my office(part time), staring at the screen. “Mao ra na? Sure baps. What a waste of a perfectly good ending(Is that it? Are you sure?)” I literally got a headache when I watched it.
In the last we see the four girls together smiling. They said The End before the screen faded black.
That was it. That was the end of wonder egg priority.
No more Ai. No more Neiru. No more Doggy Rika. And No more Momoe.
I still can’t believe it’s over
And I still can’t believe the ending was a bust.
To be honest, I think there will be a season 2, somewhere in 2022 or 2023 since Ai said she is back. But when the four girls said The End it nearly crushed my hopes.
Yet I still think there is a 25% possibility that there will be a season 2 to answer our questions. I guess it won’t happen since the production team is overworked.
I’d give it a 6.5/10. I apologize for rating it to low.
Anyways thank you for reading, sorry if I suck at this, I still can’t believe this is the special episode that we have been waiting. Honestly, it’s disappointing. I expect a lot more to be honest. But I understand the production team is doing their best and I applaud them for it. I hope they get the rest they deserve.
Edit:
Also I would like to add, as an aspiring author, you shouldn’t put irrelevant characters in a show or book. When I say irrelevant I mean Frill who is not needed in this show since she only appeared in one episode and Kotoboki in this episode. Frill was supposed to be a villain. To create a villain, you have to let them make cunning and make the hero suffer so they could grow not only as the hero and a protagonist but as a character in that show. The ending I want is them defeating Thanatos and living together in harmony. Also, the show is about death, why did they bring them back to life?

History 3 Trapped Filming Diary (full English translation) - Days 41-50
Masterpost here.
I don’t own the book so I can’t post my scans of the pictures that came with it. So I included some other pictures of the scenes that were being filmed. These pics belong to LINE TV or Choco Media, or I’ve taken screenshots from the episodes or the behind-the-scenes.
Read days 41-50 under the cut.
Day 41
On this day of shooting it happened to be Christmas, and the crew, waiting for the evening shooting process, enjoyed a Christmas gift exchange. Shaofei gave out a book; according to him it was a very inspirational book. A crew member who does hair and make-overs nearby opened it and laughed jokingly: “What kind of ‘inspiration’ do you mean?”, causing Shaofei’s thoughts to immediately go into another direction to the point of him not even being able to say it out loud (I can tell you: he was very bashful!). The whole crew also acknowledged that the most creative gift was a big bunch of green onions⁕ from Sanxing. When this present was opened the whole crew burst out in crazy laughter, but it need also be said that this was a most memorable gift.
⁕ Sanxing is famous for its spring onions! They even have a little museum dedicated to green onions there.
Also, what kind of book did Jake gift someone? 👀
Day 42
Tumblr media
The day after Christmas, Boss Tang arrived at work, and the first thing he did was accept his gift from the Christmas gift exchange from the day before. So what did Boss Tang receive?
*ding ding* The answer is 20 Christmas trees and a bottle of “Indian Spiritual Oil”⁕ At the appearance of this gift, everyone nearby immediately laughed loudly, and I also silently expressed my heartfelt wishes for Tang Yi’s and Meng Shaofei’s happiness.
For today’s scenes, basically the whole ‘world’ had to be there: Unit 3, Tang Yi, A De, Hong Ye, Daoyi and Jingtang were all present, so the set was really lively. What was shot that day were the scenes after Hongye and Shaofei were injured in the parking lot. In order to increase the conflictual character of these scenes, the director assigned each actor their own, individual combination. What was interesting is that during rehearsals, the cameramen all quickly approached the actors like a large quantity of reporters. A De said smiling that the group of people was so large that it looked like an oncoming tank and he could only silently take the ‘card position’⁕ each time.
⁕ This oil is basically like viagra...but topical instead of taking a pill....It’s a natural plant oil but it contains some anaesthetics which will irritate the skin a bit (making your you-know-what more erect as it grows hot) and the anaesthetics will also cause you to last longer. Ahem. Let’s all imagine Chris receiving this gift. 😂
⁕ The card position comes from a basketball or football game. It means that during the game, when the ball is in the air, the player accurately judges the effective landing point of the ball, takes the lead in the opponent's position, and blocks the opponent out of the best position to gain control. Here it means that Stanley just chose the best position to gain control/the upper hand in the scene.
Day 43
Tumblr media
Today we continued to shoot the hospital scenes. Shaofei said smiling that today was another aptly-named day of “earning money while lying down,” as he was lying down from the first scene in the morning to the last scene in the evening. After several consecutive days of intensive shooting, the hospital scenes were back in Taoyuan. Shaofei said he had been getting out of bed at 4am in the morning for several days in a row, and that day was no exception. So during the moments when he wasn’t in the shots, he could openly but stealthily catch up on some sleep in the bed, which made everyone present pretty envious.
Zhaozi just gets better the more he acts. Just look at his slightly wrinkled brows.
Day 44
Tumblr media
In the last episode, Zhaozi took Tang Yi to see Shaofei [in the hospital] for the last time. Tang Yi, who had carelessly pulled the trigger and accidentally shot Shaofei was already handcuffed. He told Shaofei he would hand He Hang as well as Zhou Guanzhi over to the police. Zhou Guanzhi was the enemy who killed his father. In these past four years, Tang Yi’s biggest goal was to single-handedly murder his father’s killer. For Tang Yi to now agree to let Zhou Guanzhi live and to hand him over to the police, meant Tang Yi had made the ultimate concession.
Because he had persisted in his revenge, he had caused his lover to be hospitalized with a gunshot. Since meeting Tang Yi, Shaofei had been assaulted in big and small ways,  and suffered injuries because of him. Tang Yi discovered that his stubbornly insisting on having his own way was a big factor in Shaofei getting hurt. If this continued, Shaofei would one day be ‘killed’ by Tang Yi. Kept apart by handcuffs, kissing your lover like that; what kind of plot could be more cruel than that?
Tang Yi, even while being handcuffed, was very witty/playful. He didn’t forget to stick his tongue out to the camera.
Day 45
Tumblr media
Long time no see! I believe that people who have watched <Right Or Wrong< should not be too unfamiliar with Dr. Jintang’s “uncle-in-law” Jiang Zhaopeng. He is Qiu Zhiyu whom we haven’t seen for a while. Before filming, these two cultivated their understanding of their lines by videochatting [i.e. they practiced their lines] (and also cultivated the signals between both of their phones). One of the most frightening things in filming is the screen of a cellphone. Apart from this scene, the drama shows many different mobile phone screens; every time a call had to be made, or when a LINE conversation happened, etc. Only, whether or not the signal would be good, is an element that no one can control. If the signal is not good, phone calls won’t go through, or the moment when the phone rings doesn’t match the plot. Sometimes it can take a good number of takes, not to mention that this scene needed a video call. If the signal would not be good, the video and the sound might have been chopped. But we had a close call and the signal in the hospital was very stable, allowing us to be able to smoothly complete the take.
Zijian, who portrays Jiang Jintang, has a lively and witty personality. He would often say crazy things that amused the crew. In the evening, we filmed that Shaofei followed Tang Yi to the hospital to see Jintang [the massage scene]. Jintang wanted to angrily quarrel with Meng Shaofei, because he didn’t expect them to arrive together. His red face, his hard breathing and his stammering made all the staff on the scene instantly almost collapse from laughter. Even Shaofei, who was doing the scene with him, and Tang Yi, who was lying down behind them, couldn’t keep in their laughter.
At another rehearsal, Jintang was planning to jump on Tang Yi’s back, but because he hadn’t well coordinated his position, Boss Tang’s knees hit Jintang straight in his ‘important parts’. The staff who were on the scene jokingly told him to jump on the spot, and he actually did it. This was also a ‘pain in the balls.’⁕
⁕ Same expression was used in day 37. It’s more literal here. You can see this happening in the behind-the-scenes.
Day 46
Tumblr media
Today we filmed father and son Chen Wenhao and Tang Yi meeting in front of Lizhen’s grave. The weather at the cemetery site was very unstable. Sometimes an uninterrupted drizzle floated by, and at other times wind and rain became quite strong. Occasionally, the sun would stealthily sneak out from the clouds to join in on the fun, adding many changes to the shooting. But the two actors were not in the slightest affected by these elements. As if their surroundings were all congealed together, the two looked at each other and cried really heart-wrenchingly. Afterwards, Chengyang [Chris] also frankly admitted that for this scene his mood was very complex, and it was very hard on him. Tang Yi stood in front of his biological mother’s tomb, and his biological father, whom he once thought to be her killer, walked up to him. At that moment, that kind of “crying” already wasn't just tears simply shed from sadness anymore.
When he heard the gunshot as he exited the graveyard without even looking back, Chris said that his heart was really hurting so much that he almost couldn’t go on.
A big thank you to teacher Jiakui, who plays Wenhao, to give [Chris] ample ability, and to push him beyond the limits of what he could do. What is even more special, is that today was, coincidentally, also Chris’ birthday. To shoot such a meaningful scene on his birthday and falling apart crying like that, really must have left a deep impression on him.
Day 47
Tumblr media
The day when the entire Unit 3 team got together, happened to be the very last day of 2018. Today’s MVP was Junwei [played by Ethan Liu]. Everyone most likely knows about the meeting between Unit 3 and the international criminal police division where Junwei was tasked with reporting duties.
That day Junwei was constantly drilling and rehearsing, because all his lines needed to be correctly and fluently spoken for that role to be acted out well. One of the biggest causes for stress is that when you start failing takes, the whole crew and all the actors are just waiting. One can imagine that that is a very big pressure.
Originally everyone joked and said that before noon they would surely be able to go home to celebrate the New Year, but in the end, it took until in the afternoon for the first scene to finish smoothly and everyone on Unit 3 could begin to plan how they would spend New Year’s Eve. But our poor Captain and Shaofei had to stay behind to continue the next scene. Shaofei felt wronged and said to Zhaozi: “Where is the morality in him [the captain] being so happy?”
Day 48
Tumblr media
Outside it was drizzling, but inside, the room was brimming with nervous energy as Tang Yi took Jack to negotiate with Old Ke, while Shaofei from his side and Unit 3 rushed inside as an important step and wiped out the place.⁕
While waiting for their scenes, each of the Unit 3 were doing their own activities. First Shaofei looked for a quiet place in the room and silently sat reading the script for the future scenes. With his usual style, he would use differently coloured pens to write down dialogue that belongs to Jake and Shaofei.⁕ Zhaozi, in turn, would be lying on the very big bed inside the room, and would both be talking to Junwei, having a pillow fight with Jack and taking selfies with his cellphone.
And how did Tang Yi spend the time waiting for his next scene? The answer is that he had rolled himself up in a quilt and fell into a deep sleep. No matter if Shaofei would loudly yell, “Where is Tang Yi?” outside the room, Tang Yi slept through it all.
⁕ The very first scenes of the whole show, when Shaofei and his team barges through the door! Some of the very first words we ever hear coming out of Shaofei’s mouth are “Where is Tang Yi?” MY HEART. This show is so well-made.
⁕ There’s an example of what Jake’s script looked like in the “HIStory 3: Trapped The Making of...” book. ankdlgdndkgn it’s the hospital balcony scene. The thing that he writes in black, between the two red exclamation marks... “This is the show’s first kiss!!! (Vixen Andy doesn’t count).” WHY IS HE SO CUTE?
Tumblr media
Day 49
Tumblr media
For shooting the scenes at the exterior of the police station, we borrowed the Xizhi branch police building. That Xizhi branch building which only opened in 2017, is very new and very beautiful. The interior was also very spacious, so we had plenty of room to use.
On that day there happened to be a major traffic incident in that jurisdiction area, and both clerical and field police officers were busy bustling about. Even news reporting vehicles were driving in and out. We were able to witness the police officers' work that we usually don’t have opportunity to see. Thanks to all the protectors of the people for their hard work.
Today’s Xizhi police station was bustling and lively. Thanks as well to the fans of Director Qingrong who, during the afternoon tea time, came to visit the set and brought snacks like donuts and coffee. In the afternoon the weather turned cold and it started to drizzle. But the fans braved the wind and the rain and came anyway, and even gave handwritten cards to the actors and the director, which was really sweet.
Day 50
Tumblr media
Day 2 at the police station. Today’s weather was nothing like yesterday’s “sunny and cloudy with an occasional shower”. Today the sun was shining very brightly, and the temperatures soared straight to 30 degrees. It was the perfect weather to play a song called “I love summer.”
We shot the scene where three members of Unit 3 talked with Jack at the door. They had to walk outside from inside the police station and each time they had to redo the take, everyone went back into the building with a look of total unwillingness. They opened their eyes widely and took a very deep breath, and with a blank look in their eyes they wiped their sweat and used a small fan to keep cool. Phew, foreheads were filled with beads of sweat, and everyone’s clothes were also soaked with sweat.
In the afternoon we filmed the scene from the last episode when Boss Tang goes to the police station to wait for Shaofei to get off work, when Jack also happened to ride his motorbike to pick up Zhaozi from work.  At that time, the weather was still very sunny. Boss Tang, who wanted to sit on his car’s hood to wait for Shaofei, suddenly yelled out. Apparently the vicious sun had rendered the hood burning hot, which made boss Tang jump up in sudden fright.

21:52 something about Constance sitting in on practice!!! It scratches an itch!!!!
22:19 "incorporate the helix. Live in the helix." Lord Helix is pleased with this offering.
22:26 so what I'm hearing is Kate is going to blow up on Constance for messing with the bucket
23:13 unrelated but Jillson'a shoes are cute
23:29 why does this room give off Johnny Depp's willy wonka vibes
24:13 that looks like a chair from a doctor's office waiting room 😭

28:43 the return of everyone's favorite, "enjoyable"
29:05 not that I'm not loving the ice breaker questions and the one-sided conversation, but I'm not loving it
29:22 oh so we're getting right into it aren't we
29:54 his eyes being open again makes this infinitely creepier

34:59 Italian? 🤨 m'sir that is so fancy
34:59 fun story I learned Italian diction in college, so I know a little bit
35:16 "take your time" the whisperer says, immediately repeating the prompt to get the answer sooner
35:31 theeeeere it is
35:46 SOMETHING ABOUT THE WHISPERER SAYING "YOU ARE HOME" 😭😭😭 the show really played up the cult shit!!
36:02 Kate being protective of Constance 🥺
36:20 ohhh shit is it time for Connie girl to have double Reynie? Double Sticky?
36:36 STICKY
36:52 "what kind of nonsense?" HAVE THEY NOT ASKED THAT BEFORE THIS?????
37:14 "and your tiny brain can somehow pick it up!!" KATE STOP 😂😂😂
37:16 "I knew you had to be special in some way." WE DONT HAVE TIME TO UNPACK ALL OF THAT
37:51 she's right, this is disregard for their safety. The show made Mr. Benedict and his team a lot more back-alley and dishonest, and Miss Perumal has every reason to be pissed
38:30 oh good they finally remembered he has narcolepsy
39:38 and the best mom award goes to:
40:38 I was gonna say that this hallway is how I imagined the KEEP in riddle of ages but then I remembered that (spoilers) the Institute is the KEEP
40:46 oh, hello propoganda
41:10 that's the other person Rhonda couldn't contact, along with Mr. Bloom. This has to be the brainsweeping process
41:22 yeppppp
41:44 this dark doctor's office theme gives me horror movie vibes
42:22 ohhhh, so that's how they replaced that scene where the four of them jump in a crate to hide and Sticky drops his glasses in the open
42:47 and so we've come to the part of the story where Sticky and Reynie become infinitely more conflicted
42:47 and since we've reached that point..... can we have the white knight scene? Pretty please? Please Disney I'm begging you-
43:12 so Reynie just figured that out without Constance? :/
44:03 love the manipulation
44:31 I'm sorry, the farm?
44:35 farm and forest????
45:16 "the Emergency has served its purpose" 😳 well okay then murder man
45:39 "one thought, one purpose" the hive mind rises once more
45:48 LOVE THE MANIPULATION
46:07 "what have you done to earn anyone's trust?" VALID
46:26 "please do!" WHY AM I EMOTIONAL
47:06 "we still have the falcon" that you do 😂
47:19 AYYY HERE WE GO!!! Time for Milligan to stay on the island??
47:49 ohhhh Constance, casual telepath strikes again
48:16 "stop it, Kate!" OOOOHHHHH
48:53 that line ("it would be nice to be unburdened") would be funny as shit if not for the fact that Constance is a telepath unbeknownst to herself and can both subconsciously perceive people's thoughts and hear the subliminal messages
49:20 HI MRS. PERUMAL!!!
49:25 wow, she's really going through with it 😳 not that I doubted her, but still, that's dedication
49:39 OH SHIT
50:17 oh, so he's an asshole to SQ too. Got it. Torches and pitchforks? Ready to kick his ass?
50:40 "for the moment, anyway" FUCKIN WHAT
This episode was really good!!! They covered a LOT. I hope Miss Perumal comes back to the group and talks about her findings, I hope Milligan goes to get the kids and they tell him no, and I hope they get that classic 4-person Society brainstorming and binding time that hits that sweet spot

구미호뎐 | Tale of the Nine Tailed - 이동욱 VLIVE 2020.11.18 TotNT Q&A
Below the cut you’ll find a translation of some of the TotNT Q&A highlights from Lee Dong Wook’s recent VLIVE, wherein the actor answers live questions from fans and shares some fun behind the scenes stories and insights.
Note: these are only excerpts I’ve selected out (primarily from the third segment) of the full 2hr VLIVE. You can find a full transcript of the second segment here.
At the start, LDW wrote a few things on a white board because he was being asked them so much. Those are:
Tale of the Nine Tailed Ep 13 & 14 will both be broadcast the following week (filming for the drama has wrapped) [on November 5th, after filming for nearly 7 months]
He really does like mint chocolate
He has no intention of running his own SNS (social media)
[In a later addition] He doesn’t know his MBTI type and isn’t interested in finding out
The VLIVE proceeded in three main sections. 1) Free talk 2) VS Game (prepared for him by his promotional team), and 3) TotNT Q&A. Below are some things I thought were of note, mostly from the third section, complete with time stamps in case you want to go see where he talks about them but also because academia has conditioned me to always be meticulous about citing my sources. ;)
Q: Do you watch Tale of the Nine Tailed on live broadcast? [0:17:16~0:17:46]
I think I watched live...about half the time. I saw about half of the episodes live, and for the other half I couldn’t watch because we were filming, so I either watched them on re-watch [online] or when they re-broadcast them.
Since it wasn’t entirely pre-produced, we were still filming as it was being broadcast, so there were occasions when I couldn’t watch the broadcast live.
[Note: The reason people in Korea are concerned with the original live broadcast (bonbang) is because this is how the viewership ratings are measured.]
Q: Are you close with Kim Beom-nim in reality? [0:30:45~0:31:03]
(Laughing) Yes, we are close in real life haha. That was a very cute question. We’re extremely close. We worked out together yesterday too. (Laughing) That was a cute question.
[Note: Lee Dong Wook and Kim Beom are represented by the same talent agency so they’re also label mates]
Q: Are there any ad lib lines that come to mind? [1:17:30~1:18:30]
Everyone, to be perfectly honest, I did so many ad libs I don’t even remember them all. I think I made an ad lib in nearly...at least once in every two scenes? Was it more than that? But thankfully the director and writer gave me a lot of opportunities to do as I pleased. Most likely if you were watching and found yourself thinking, ‘oh, that seems like an ad lib?’ those were all ad libs. And there were actually many more than that even. Yes. I did so many I can’t remember.
[Note: You can find a full round-up of ad libs mentioned throughout the VLIVE that I did here. I’m not going to repeat them in this post since it’s going to be long enough already ;) ]
Q: What line left the deepest impression on you? [1:18:36~1:19:35]
This is also...for our drama, the writer really did a wonderful job writing the dialogue and there are many iconic lines, right? So to be honest it’s difficult to just pick one...yes. But, in any case, it would probably have to be that line, wouldn’t it? The ending of episodes 1, 4 and 9. Ji Ah’s line, ‘I waited for you.’ And then again at the end of episode 4, my line, ‘I also waited for you.’ And then at the end of episode 9 Ji Ah says, ‘I waited for you’ with a different meaning. The mirroring of the lines in these ending scenes, I believe it will have stayed with you, and it stayed with me too.
[Reading the live chat] Yes, ‘I have never once missed my target.’ Yes, that line was also really good. It was a line that helped to wake something in Rang-ie’s heart, so...
Q: Was it hard acting before the CG effects were added in? [1:20:39~1:23:19]
Ah, is that so? That was also released as a clip, as a video [available here]. They compared the CG before and after...It’s not easy. Yes. Especially in cases like the Knife Mountain Hell and the Snow Mountain Hell, when you film in front of a blue screen, you need to make a lot of calculations. And, you sort of...need to be aware of the details. Right now, what cut you’re filming, what cut will come after that cut, and...for that, seeing as how everything around you is blue, you tend to lose your sense of direction a bit? You also have to take that into account. So, actually to film all the Knife Mountain Hell and the Snow Mountain Hell scenes, added together, I spent three days and two nights in front of a blue screen...so it was a bit hard. After being in front of nothing but a blue screen for nearly three days straight...I started to lose my sense of time and space. Where I am now, which direction I’m going in, whether where I’m currently standing is facing forward or backward, even what time it is currently, or how much time has passed, these sort of...the most basic senses that are part of being human, become duller and duller. That was somewhat hard. But thanks to our director, our CG director, and our stunt director helping me a lot, and the same goes for our film crew, yes, so, that was how we filmed.
Ah, and, when filming in front of a blue screen, especially in cases like the Knife Mountain Hell, there are knives flying at me right? So I get asked a lot if that isn’t embarrassing, but to be honest when I’m filming I don’t have the space to even be concerned with those sorts of things. It’s not as if, like, because I moved in such a way I feel humiliated or because I did this I feel embarrassed. I don’t even have the space to be concerned with those things. I just think about the fact that the CG team, the stunt team, the camera team, and me, I have to act well so that these four teams can work well in concert...yes. Because to the extent that my acting comes across as realistic, it should be better once the CG is added. Because it will be easier for the people filming [that way], so I always film while keeping those things in mind.
Q: Do the colors of your thread rings have to do with the drama’s plot? [1:26:42~1:27:00]
[Big pause] Hm~.....the color doesn’t.
Q: Between Lee Rang and Imoogi, who did you have the best synergy with for the action sequences? [1:27:26~1:28:11]
For me, it was easiest when I worked with the stunt team (laughs). When I do action sequences with other actors...I’m uneasy. Well, the other party might also be uneasy but I am also uneasy, because if we happen to strike each other for real, we’ll get hurt. So I always film with a very cautious mindset, but when I do action sequences with the stunt team, in any case, because they are professionals, even if I get the motions slightly wrong or I step forward too much, they are able to adjust to match me. So my heart is most at ease when I do action sequences with the stunt team. Because they are able to respond to me well.
Q: Do you get startled for real when Taluipa screams at you while you’re acting? [1:28:46~1:28:59]
No. In reality it doesn’t startle me that much. Jeong Nan-Noona (Actress Kim Jeong Nan) is also very close with me. We’ve been in a number of productions together, so we enjoyed ourselves.
Q: A behind the scenes story from the promotional teasers with Jo Bo Ah? [1:29:17~1:30:02]
Ah~, this is a bit of a departure from talking about the drama itself. I was just talking with Ji Ah, with Bo Ah-ssi, and we ended up talking about how it might be if we tried filming something funny just by ourselves to release before the broadcast...and so, I was the one who provided the idea, at the beginning. If you look, it’s written there, right? Planning: Jo Bo Ah, Directing: Lee Dong Wook hehe. Yes, we just made them like that. At the very beginning, Jo Bo Ah-ssi was the one who proposed making them, so the planning is Jo Bo Ah, and then I was the one who supplied ideas of ‘let’s do this like this,’ so the directing is Lee Dong Wook. Yes.
[Note: If you haven’t seen these, they’re great. There are three of them that were shared to both Lee Dong Wook (@leedongwook_official) and Jo Bo Ah’s (@xxadoraa) Instagram feeds ahead of EP03, EP05, and EP07]
Q: Who had the most NG (no good) takes while filming? [1:30:59~1:31:14]
I have the most NGs. I think in any case, I have the most...I joke around a lot, and I make a lot of ad libs, and I also had a lot of scenes, so I had the most NGs.
Q: Re: Lee Yeon’s Hair [1:33:38~1:34:34]
Yes, I like it. Ah, this could actually be a bit of a ‘behind the scenes.’ It was actually my idea to make Lee Yeon’s hair red-brown. It wasn’t the original character setting. I thought that, since he’s a Korean red fox, how would it be to make his hair a bit closer to that color, and also that it would be nice to give him a bit more of an otherworldly image. So I consulted with the director of our salon and the salon director said that that would be good. So I ended up with red-brown hair, and it just worked naturally that the (mountain god) wig be a mixture of red-brown and silver. Ah that isn’t white hair, it’s actually silver. It’s much closer to silver hair, not white hair. So that’s how I came to have a combination of red and silver long hair. Yes.
Q: What was your reaction when you first met the agwi while filming the Forest of the Starved sequence? [1:36:27~1:37:50]
That, rather than thinking they were scary, I mostly kept thinking about what a hard time they must be having. The Forest of the Starved sequence, adding together every time the Forest of the Starved shows up from beginning to end, we filmed for nearly a week straight. Six days? For about six days to a week. For most of them, they are actually members of our stunt team in stage makeup. There were also many people who appeared just in those roles, but those folks all had a really hard time. That makeup takes a long time to put on and a long time to take off, and seeing as it’s all special effects makeup it’s hard on your skin in a number of ways, and because it was summer it was really hot and humid, and because we were in the forest it was just...well, in any case there were truly a lot of error conditions, so while me and Kim Beom-ssi also had a hard time, in truth it was those people who had it the hardest. Those who played the agwi really worked very hard. Thank you very much to those people. For me and Kim Beom-ssi, at least our clothes and shoes were, at least we were dressed comfortably while we filmed, but those people had to wear torn hanbok and straw shoes while running, so in truth those people are the protagonists of the Forest of the Starved. They really worked the hardest of all of us.
[Note 1: ‘those people’ sounds dismissive in English but LDW is using the respective term ‘bun’ so he’s actually being quite deferential here.
Note 2: Kim Beom has said elsewhere that he filmed this sequence for 3 weeks so either LDW is just talking about his own scenes or possibly Kim Beom just remembered it as being longer than it was haha]
Q: When you played baduk with Lee Rang, did you know what you were doing or were you just placing pieces at random? [1:39:34~1:40:07]
For that, I knew what I was doing. For that baduk game, someone who knows [how to play], if they see that board just once they will know. We used a high caliber game by extremely famous baduk players and transferred the placement of the pieces exactly, and then Rang-ie and I took turns placing piece by piece like this, right? For that, we each, Rang-ie and I each memorized our moves, so we were playing an actual game of baduk. The reason being that, these sort of things are the details, and for those, well, you shouldn’t lie, right?
Q: Are there any details you payed attention to when you were acting as Lee Rang transformed (into Lee Yeon)? [1:44:27~1:45:47]
For episode 11... for episode 11, at that time, conversely, I didn’t pay much attention to it. At that time, the reason being, fooling the viewers was a critical part of that sequence, of that episode, so conversely, if I had acted like Lee Rang, and Lee Rang had acted like me, like Lee Yeon, doing it like that seemed like it would have been too obvious, so we just, to the greatest extent possible, we each respectively acted Lee Yeon as had been, and Lee Rang as had been.
But then, when Lee Rang transforms into Lee Yeon and goes to see Taluipa, at that time I tried more to act like Lee Rang. In fact, before we started filming, I asked Rang-ie, I asked Beom-ssi to read through the lines once. I asked him, ‘If it was you, how do you think you would do this?’ So Beom-ssi read it for me and I matched that. So this was another place that I manipulated the details while I was acting. When I (Rang) went to see Taluipa, when he was transformed, there was originally another version where I (Rang) looked around even more and was even more awkward. But rather than that, that was too blatantly obvious, so it was broadcast with the more toned-down version.
Q: Did you really have a video call with Ji Ah? [1:46:18~1:46:36]
No, we each shot our scenes on different days. I shot mine first, and then Ji Ah-ssi, Bo Ah-ssi, shot hers about two or three days later. We each shot separately on different days.
Q: A behind the scenes story from the sound booth recording? [1:48:07~1:48:47]
The sound booth recording is just the sound booth recording (laughs). Ah, that, the sound booth recording for the hell scene? Ah, that was exhausting. For that, honestly if it wasn’t for the ‘making’ (behind the scenes video) you probably wouldn’t have known about it. To that extent, I poured as much energy into it as when I had originally acted it out all over again as I was recording it, so I really ended up feeling like I’d gone to that hell and back twice. Which is what I said in the ‘making’...And that was caught on video by our miss Bo Ah, and that ended up being released as part of the behind the scenes.
[Note: The sound booth BTS can be found here (2:09~3:01)]
Q: Which of the mountain god outfits do you like the most? [1:50:47~1:51:11]
That...when I went to save young Rang-ie, the outfit I wore the first time I appeared, the black one, yes. In the Forest of the Starved, when I went to save young Rang-ie, the mountain god clothing I wore when we first met, I personally really liked it.
Q: Re: the mountain god hair [1:51:30~1:52:17]
It was uncomfortable. It...dragged a lot, and sort of...yes. It gives you a headache. Once you’ve had it affixed for about 6 hours, your scalp gets tighter and tighter, and it hurts your head. So the wig, it also takes a long time to put on and take off. To be honest, the mountain god scenes, to everyone watching they may be very beautiful...but they were quite tiring. That goes for the wig, but also for the hanbok. It’s very uncomfortable to move about in and restrictive in a number of ways. Especially, seeing as how I always got a headache, it was a bit hard.
Q: Does Lee Yeon know that he’s cute? [1:55:06~1:55:09]
Of course.
[Note: This is the 3rd gif ;)]
Q: What was the first scene you shot? [2:02:18~2:02:46]
My first scene was...the scene where Soo Oh and I meet at the park and talk. That was the first scene that I shot. When the little girl lost her balloon and I caught it and returned it to her. Soo Oh said, ‘Ajusshi, are you an alien?’ and I said, ‘No, a gumiho.’ That scene was the first scene of Tale of the Nine Tailed that was shot and it was my first scene that I shot.
Q: Did you have a time when you swooned while acting with Jo Bo Ah-nim? [2:03:14~2:03:20]
Of course. Whenever I act out those sorts of emotions I always do.

Regarding Robin's extremely brave coming out
(If you are unaware, see his recent tweet)
If I see even one of you misgendering or being otherwise transphobic or bigoted towards him, you will be catching these hands.
He is allowed to express his gender however he feels comfortable, and that includes still using he/him pronouns.
If you think otherwise, I suggest you educate yourself on gender identity and gender expression immediately.
He is still the same person we've grown to love and appreciate over the years, and I expect to see SO MUCH love and support that we'll knock his socks off. I WILL be blocking any transphobes on site.

I saw @prof-peach's post about their little world of pokemon and decided to add my own character. Although it's really just me as a pokemon trainer, haha!
Tumblr media
I fully intended to only make a character sketch at first but the idea of a little pokemon cafe was just such a lovely idea to me, that I ended up spending around nine hours on a full scene!
(background traced from https://furnitureroots.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Modern-Cafe-Counter-3.jpg)
My inability to draw humans meant I drew my character as a furry, which is really the only thing I'm capable of drawing.
Since this character is essentially a stand-in for myself, they have the same name, legacy. And the pokemon are two of my own pokemon from my team on Shield. Shade the zorua and Mako the garchomp. It's hard to tell, but Mako is shiny.
Legacy's job is a barista at the cafe where Mako also helps out. Shade just kind of sits around and provides cuddles to anyone who wants them.
Their team also includes:
Shadow - zoroark
Squiggles - mimikyu
Astor - shiny zeraora
Silver - melmetal
All together, the pokemon make a really strong team, but Legacy doesn't tend to battle much. They spend most of their off-work time just sitting with their pokemon or getting to know the other pokemon on the island.

Reasons why I love Wakko Warner
Okay first of all... he baby
Tumblr media
But the main reason is
☆•.°¤▪︎SELF PROJECTION ▪︎¤°.•☆
Tumblr media
This child is 100% autistic in almost every way I'm autistic.
He stims. In so many episodes:
In La La Law he's seen flapping his hands about. In Ups and Downs he's seen bouncing and pulling on his ears while repeatedly saying "candy". In Who Donut (reboot) he's seen jumping about on all fours out of excitement. There's definitely more but these are the examples I can remember right now.
One could also argue that his tongue constantly hanging out of his mouth is another form of stim, and actually something I started doing not too long before watching the show and have started doing a lot more since.
He misunderstands things often:
In Dezanitised, he takes Otto's questions literally ("What's on your mind?" My hat.) and seems genuinely confused when Otto gets frustrated. In Dollar Store, he keeps asking how much items are, despite being told multiple times that everything is a dollar and then takes that to mean that everything collectively is one dollar and clears out the entire store, leaving just one dollar as payment.
He experiences emotional extremes:
In Chalkboard Bungle when Mrs Flamiel gives him an F, he immediately becomes outraged. In Who Donut (again) he appears to have a mild meltdown over his missing doughnuts, which are supposedly his safe food (?).
On the opposite end of the spectrum, he can also show almost no emotional reaction to a situation. In Ups and Downs (again) he recognises that the lift is stuck and even suggests calling for help, but shows zero signs of distress or concern.
He has comfort items:
Obviously his hat. He is almost never seen without it! And, as mentioned before, doughnuts are quite possibly his safe food, as he gets a lot more excited about the idea of doughnuts than almost any other food. In Hooray For North Hollywood, Wakko's liquorice habit is mentioned a handful of times, suggesting that it is another safe food of his.
He mirrors:
This is one I do slightly less, but I'm gonna write it down anyway. When he has nothing to do, Wakko appears to mirror people around him. The most notable example of this is, once again, in Ups and Downs (this episode is a really good reference for his autistic traits). While standing in the moving lift, Wakko starts copying Scratchansniff. Checking his watch, muttering, sniffing, coughing and crossing his arms.
Finally, autistic people tend to have different experiences with gender than neurotypicals:
I realise this one is just a headcanon, and in the canon of the show Wakko is still a boy. But here's my argument...
Tumblr media
Wakko's a he/him nonbinary because I said so.

And what better for me to do that?Read short books.
