So this blog is basically only about three (now four) things (for now). Super Sentai (and some Kamen Rider) edits, Chronicles of Narnia fanfics, and my writing whatnots. And now, my reading journey. I also read books, you know. Just... not an avid one. 😊✌️💕

I know I haven't been posting here. But I guess I should go back to just posting the links in the meantime until I can finally post the last chapter of OMOTD. I mean, I really should finish writing that.

1,500 days of journaling every single day… Wow! I actually did that. But if I'm being honest, this is 17 DAYS TOO LATE already. And I only realized that just now when I have to recompute everything about this date. Like, what the heck? Why did I make that mistake? And I even have to mark it on my calendar. Urgh! What kind of stupidity is this? But for me, better late than never. Not to mention, it's still September, so maybe I can forgive myself for that. Anyway, here we are! I've actually reached this far. And to think it all started with trying to aim for the goal of journaling for 1000 days just like @carrie.walker did. That one video truly created that spark in me to journal again and do it daily. And now… let's reach the 2,000 mark. 😊✌️💕

did i cheat on this?
Yes, I know. What a title for today's rading/book blog. I don't know, but I couldn't help feeling that way just for me to catch up with my reading challenge. I mentioned that on yesterday's blog entry, I know. But I couldn't help feeling frustrated about my reading journey as I keep on seeing the number of books that was behind schedule. So I did what I considered to be the weirdest thing ever ㅡ at least for me.
I read short stories and novellas. And thanks to that, I finally got back on track on my reading challenge. And maybe I went a little overboard on that one, now I'm 3 books ahead of schedule. Just so you know, almost half of them were novellas. Should I call that cheating? Maybe. But I think this is just helping me read more, regardless of the length of the book.
Don't worry, I'm still reading books that are more than 150 pages. But I'm actually choosing to read something that I'd consider a comfort read or books that really makes me happy. At the moment, light novels give that to me. I'll get to start reading a new book or continue reading the pending ones as soon as I can, without feeling the pressure for me to actually finish reading it.
I read these novellas yesterday as a way to "cheat" the challenge, as I'd like to say. Crazy, right? And yes, I also ended up reading some tropes and genres that I was so... uncomfortable in so many ways, despite being a 33-year-old woman. You might have guessed what that genre might be. But I won't dive in to that. As for the ratings I gave to each book, here they are:
Her Brother's Bestfriend (Flowering #0.5) - ⭐⭐⭐
Adrian's Lost Chapter (Bloodlines #0.5) - ⭐⭐⭐
A Longtime (And At One Point Illegal) Crush - ⭐⭐⭐
A Mermaid For Christmas - ⭐⭐⭐
Yumi (Flames In The Mist 0.75) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Possibly the longest out of all these five novellas/short stories I read would be the third one. While the last two doesn't have any hints of romance on it. I mean, they're all alright. But I still couldn't fully understand why I also decided to read novellas or short stories tied to a series that I haven't read yet. Then again, more often than not, they could also serve as standalone stories tied to the universe where the stories originated. I might do the same on the other series that I have in my digital library. But I'm still debating on that.
While reading novellas, I also continued reading other longer books. In this case, light novels. I decided to re-read Volume 2 of "The Weakest Tamer Begins A Journey To Pick Up Trash" as soon as I saw an episode of the anime version on Youtube. You could say that this is one of the few instances in which I read the book versions first before an anime or movie adaptations were announced or even appeared. I'm only 27% of the reread, but this is a long book, so that's not a surprise. Along with that, I started reading Volume 3 of "By The Grace Of The Gods". To my surprise, this book is still Chapter 2. It's like continuing the events that happened in the second volume. Then again, this is still about Ryoma's laundry service store and its progress, so maybe that's the reason. I've read 23% of the book and I think this was slightly shorter than "The Weakest Tamer". I don't know, but I couldn't help thinking that way.
I might do some more novellas reading today ㅡ who knows. But I don't really mind doing that for now. I already started with this cheating, so let's continue doing it until I finished reading all of the novellas that I have in my digital library. 😁✌️
Oh, by the way, I changed the range of my page count quota on the random number generator. From 10-70, I changed it to 20-90. Yes, lesser than 100, but this is what I like. This is still doable for me. And here's my page count qouta for today:
It's bigger, I know. But still doable for me if it means reading more and adding them to my Goodreads Reading Challenge. It's weird, I know. In any case, let's continue reading more. Honestly, I didn't think I'd ever consider doing something like this just for me to complete my reading challenge.
What do you think of that? Let me know. For now, I'll end this entry here. See you tomorrow! Happy reading. 😊✌️💕📚📖

crunch reading just to be back on track
Good afternoon!
Yes, I know. This is a lot later than my usual blogging time. You could say things had gotten busier around here since I woke up this morning. It's 3:46 PM here as I'm writing here. But I did read for today. I think that's a good thing. I tried to read as much as I can while doing things around here.
As for my reading update from yesterday, I got to finish reading several books! What do you know? Then again, three of them were just the shortest books from my old currently reading list that were added since the early 2024, to be honest. You could say I'm in a hurry to be on track with my Goodreads Reading Challenge for this year. And what better for me to do that?
Read short books. But three out of the four books I've finished reading yesterday were self-help books. And one of them has something to do with writing. And obviously, since I did crunch reading (as I'd like to call it) yesterday, it was obvious that I surpassed my page count quota yesterday. With this, now I'm thinking of raising the maximum number of pages for me to read to either 80 or 90. Definitely not 100 as it was still too much for my brain.
Let me rate the books I've read yesterday. I mean, I know I did it in Goodreads already. But I also want to do it here.
"The 12 Week Year" by Brian P. Moran and Michael Lennington - ⭐⭐⭐, but only because it only made my brain like a mush and maybe I just felt pressured in a way as I was reading the whole thing. I mean, the idea was great that you can actually do a lot of things in about 3 months. But maybe I wasn't in the right mindset just yet to implement the process to myself at the moment. For now, I would consider doing the process in the future, especially since I do view myself a failure at my age of 33.
"5,000 Words Per Hour: Write Faster, Write Smarter" by Chris Fox - ⭐⭐⭐, but the idea was definitely something I can do when I'm writing. I actually first heard about this book because of Kate Cavanaugh's video when she tried to write 5,000 words an hour like Chris Fox. But it actually took me a while to finish reading the whole thing. I don't know what made me stop reading this, to be honest. And I know it's other than my reading slump. Should I blame my writing slump/writer's block on that, as well? But yes, I know I can only write around 3,000 words maximum in one day. Why? I tend to write my stories by hand first. It has been a habit since high school and I don't think I've ever outgrown that. But I could still do the practices here in this book in my writing just so I can use that as a reason to discipline my writer self. So the books still helped me in some way.
"Romancing The Beats: Story Structure for Romance Novels" by Gwen Hayes - This one was a definite ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for me, only because it does provided me more insight than I ever thought I needed when it comes to writing romance stories. I mean, you could say that romance is sort of my forte in writing stories. It was the genre that I started writing back in high school. Yes, I'm thanking Kate Cavanaugh once again for me discovering this book for writers. And I think she outlined her first romance novel with this as a guide. I still haven't started outlining any romance stories with the beats in this book. But I will get to that ㅡ once I managed to get my writing groove back.
The second volume of "By The Grace Of The Gods" is also done, and I've rated it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ in Goodreads. Hmm... Maybe because I wasn't some of the characters to appear here early that I've only seen on the second season of the anime version. Another thing that could've affected the original 5 stars rating was the initial assumption I had that anime version encompassed the first two volumes of the light novel. I was wrong. This volume seemed to be encompassing only 3 episodes since it has something to do with the continuation of the monster subjugation and starting the laundry store. The real problem for me? Information overload on the store building part.
That's a lot for me to even write here, you know. But I thought I should add my comments (even if it's short) on each of the book I would finish reading. Yes, even my own ratings on the books done reading.
It's currently raining hard as I write here, but let's get on with the next part. As for th book I continued reading, I actually read 18 pages of the fifth volume of "The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen" at past midnight, as I've mentioned in my blog entry yesterday. I didn't add more pages done reading on that book after that since I concentrated reading more on the other books. So no comments and ratings just yet.
I really should try raising the maximum number for a bit, but I would definitely not let it reach 100 for my brain's sake. But with all that I've read today, I think I already reached this page count quota today. I'll let you know about the books I read tomorrow.
Just to give you a heads up ㅡ they were mainly novellas. Blame my frustration for constantly seeing the number of books behind schedule in my Goodreads Reading Challenge. So this was my solution to finally beat that.
Yes, I know this entry is already way too late than my usual posting time. But it's only past 5 in the afternoon here in 🇵🇭, so it's still within the day.
Let's see if I can post here during my usual early posting time. See you tomorrow! Happy reading. 😊✌️💕📚📖

Blogging Plans And Reading Just One Book
Good morning!
This is actually a blog entry at past 8 AM here in 🇵🇭 since... sleep keeps winning. Urgh! Of course, there is a reason. I really couldn't sleep last night and I ended up sleeping at past 1 in the morning. It's a good thing that it's weekend. I don't have to wake up early to help my sister prepare for work. Maybe that's why I ended up sleeping that late. I just know I don't have to wake up way too early. 😁✌️
One more day before I reach my second week of daily reading. What do you know? I made it! Well, I did fail at reading as soon as I wake up. Sleep always wins on me. So the challenge that I chose to keep up was to reach my reading goal and write about it the next day to give updates. And so far, I was able to do both. Maybe I should do a weekly recap blog entry? Or not. I mean, I've been writing my daily thoughts about what I've read here on my blog. So doing that would only feel repetitive. But I seriously think I should write something different each week that may or may not have something to do with reading. As a way to make this blog a little diverse, in my opinion.
I do have topics that I want to write about. They've been pending for who knows how long already. And now I recalled that I have a Ko-fi account that I've neglected in so long. Like, what the heck? I never realized that I've neglected so many account in the last two years. I also neglected my hobbies in that time period, as well. What kind of person am I? I can't help feeling that I'm so lost in what I really want to do in life.
Thankfully, something sort of "snapped" in me and forced me to finally start doing this. Now I don't have any reason to neglect my blog again. And maybe my "special" weekly blog entry would help me start navigating my Ko-fi account in some way. Of course, that entry would still be free to read in the meantime. Or as long as I can make it. Wait... why does that sound a little greedy on my part? Hopefully not.
Anyway, with me writing things like this instead of filming like other booktubers do, consider this as my own way of vlogging or documenting my reading journey. Yes, it can be boring. As much as I want to film videos about this, it doesn't really sit well with me, you know. I have to do a different way to express my thoughts about what I read for the day, and so I chose to write them down instead. And I know, I feel comfortable doing this and I wouldn't be too stressed about editing and filming and most of all, storage space. 😂😂
I only read one book yesterday even while I keep finding more to read. Yes, I did a digital e-book haul once again and I'm seriously putting such stress in myself again. I'm so sorry. Of course, I reached my daily quota yesterday, which was 27 pages. Now, I'm 53% done with the second volume. I was able to read 92 pages yesterday and I just realized that the first two volumes of this series encompassed the 12 episodes of the first season of the anime version. Who knows? Maybe I'd be able to finish reading the rest of the second volume if daily life activities wouldn't get in the way. My first sister (the one born after me) and her son (my nephew) were here since yesterday so I have a feeling that things would still be busy just until they go back later this afternoon.
I have to use the generator for, like, three times because I kept getting lower numbers. One time was 17 and the second one was 18. Like, seriously? And when I chose for the third time, I got this. The reason why I have to do this 3 times was because I've already reached my 18 pages while I was reading the fifth volume of the light novel "The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen" at past midnight. Crazy of me, I know. But I couldn't sleep, that's why. So now, I needed additional numbers to aim. Today, I have to read 53 pages and I've already read my 18 pages. So that's... 35 more pages for me to read. Not bad at all.
By the way, should I try changing the numbers of the range for my number generator? Still not going to pass 70 as the maximum. But maybe I should do something with the minimum number. Should I use 20 as my minimum pages to read? I think I should do that tomorrow.
I have a lot of things to consider doing here on my blog. But do you know what I kept on saying when things would start to become overwhelming for me? Take it one step at a time. And that's what I have to do now that I have plans on my other neglected accounts.
For now, that's all I have. See you tomorrow! Happy reading. 😊💕✌️📚📖

Two Books Done And Started A New One
Good morning! Here we go again with another daily blog entry about my reading journey, if it's actually right to call it that way. I'm trying my best to stay awake, to be honest. But maybe doing this will help in some way.
I removed my "Want to Read" book list in Goodreads yesterday. That's more than 300 books in the list that I declared to read over the years since having an account there. But looking at that list had ㅡ sometimes ㅡ give my mind some pressure and that sense of wanting to catch up with people reading so much who could "devour" books so easily. This shouldn't be, and yet it happened. And to be honest, deleting that list is better. It was like... giving off a sense of mystery, no matter how small, about what to read next (or even more so, what to finish reading next).
So my page count quota yesterday was 32, and I reached it. Of course, you know that when I have such "small" number of pages to be read in a day, I tend to read a lot more. And that's what happened yesterday! Not to mention, finding more books to store in my digital library and acquiring them. Yup, I've just given myself another way to pressure my reader self. 😁😂 But in this case, I don't mind having this digital list and easily opening each book when I want to.
I've started creating this picture since two days ago and I would exclusively post them on IG. Not today. So this is what happened to my reading journey yesterday.
I've finished reading two books!
I've fully read the first volume of "By the Grace of the Gods" and was able to read 88 pages there. Yup, more than my page count quota. I love it! Like what I kept saying, this is such a comforting read ㅡ the very same feeling it gave to me when I first watched the anime version. Gave this one ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
I read the remaining 20 pages of "Drop, Cover, and Hold On", which is the 4th book of the multi-authored "Improbable Meet Cute" series. If I'm being honest, I'm giving this a ⭐⭐.5 ratings. But since there isn't such a rating in Goodreads, I put ⭐⭐⭐. I don't know. I wasn't too keen about the whole thing. That's the feeling it gave to me and I don't know if that even made any sense.
With this two books finished, now my Goodreads Reading Challenge is looking slightly better than when I first started reading again. I mean, I know I still have 7 more books to read to catch up and be on schedule. But this is still looking better than how it was 12 days ago. Yes, I'm keeping track since I know I finished reading a book 12 days ago.
As for the book that I started reading yesterday instead of continuing to read my other pending ones, it's the second volume ot "By the Grace of the Gods". I managed to read up to page 49 yesterday, from Chapter 2 Episode 1 to the end of Chapter 2 Episode 4. The entire volume is just one chapter and what wa supposed to be chapters for us was called episodes. I know I mentioned this on my entry yesterday, but this is how they divide the segments/chapters of this light novel. I wanted to start reading Chapter 2 Episode 5 yesterday, but drowsiness was winning. 😁😁 And I gave in.
This is my page count quota for today. Yes, it's not that much and I'm not changing it. Depending on what will happen today, this could motivate me to read more, you know. At least, that's what I noticed these past days. And I love that. I could start reading the fifth novella in the "Improbable Meet Cute" series, though this one has a bit more pages than the 3rd and the 4th books. Or I could just continue reading the light novel. Whatever the case, let's reach today's quota.
I love writing like this and giving updates here every day. And two days ago, I came up with a certain realization.
I haven't read enough books, and so that's why I have writing slump/writer's block for weeks now.
It's something that came to me two days ago. But maybe I should talk about that in a different entry.
For now, this is all I have. See you tomorrow! Happy reading. 😊✌️💕📚📖

New blog entry is up, even though this was a little later than my usual blog writing. I mean, sleep was calling me more so I gave in. 😂😁 Not to mention, it was cold outside because it was still raining. But I made it here.
Just a question, though. Should I post my blog posts here as it was in my Blogger account or the links are fine? I don't know, but I kept debating on it since last night. Weird of me. 😕

It's cold and I'm still sleepy, that's why this blog entry was written a little late. But even so, I got to write it! Thank you, my dear mind.
Okay, I don't know what else to write here. Maybe I should sleep some more and read later once I'm awake and in my right presence of mind.

Posting this link here while cooking for my sister's lunch box that she would bring today to work. I finally finished writing this after an hour. But as usual, I just want to get on with this before I start my day and my daily reading. I only need to read 30 pages today, anyway.
But you know, I also want to do this daily blogging for my writings. Wait, did I mention that already in the previous entries? Gosh, I can't remember. But maybe I'll start doing it later. We'll still see. 😊✌️💕

After almost an hour, I finally finished writing this. Good morning, guys! Here's a new daily reading blog I wrote today before I start my daily reading. At least, I made a new progress! Yay! Another book down. Now... what's next? 😁😂 Yes, I had that dilemma yesterday before finally settling to one book.
I didn't write any life updates here, only because there wasn't anything new. My life proceeded the same. Kind of boring and gray, but colors in my life (as I'd like to call the unexpected or new or unique experiences that I would have) doesn't appear that much, anyway. There could be various reasons, of course. But I wasn't confronting them at the moment.

Here we are with the new morning blog entry, y'all! Okay, that felt strange even as I was typing it down. I don't usually say things that way, you know. I still haven't started reading for today since I want to finish writing this first. This was my reading update about how I did yesterday... and also some additions on what else happened. Nothing much about my writings, though. 😕😞

This was something I should've finished writing on the 11th, but didn't happen. I don't know why. But now it's here. This topic was what actually prompted me to start reading again (daily, as much as possible) and also do a daily reading blog as I go along. I'm still petrified at the thought of me actually starting my own reading vlog, so I resorted to just writing my thoughts on what I read and document the journey along the way instead.

I seriously need to do something to fix my body clock, to be honest. I already have an alarm for 5 AM. Why didn't I wake up after that? Urgh! I know it's weekend. But I really need to make it a daily routine of waking up at 5 AM even without the need to use alarm clock. I know I slept at past 10 PM last night. And that was even my usual sleeping time. That wouldn't usually hinder me in waking up at 5 AM whenever my sister has to go to work and I need to help with preparations for that. But now that it's the last day of the weekend... I really don't know what happened.
On the bright side, I got to read more! That is, if you consider 37 pages more than my page count quota as something to celebrate about. But for me, it is. Then again, by doing that, I ended up thinking of something a little crazy, in my opinion. Just a little reading plan. 🤔😁✌️

This was a way too early blog entry that I posted on my Blogger account, if I'm going to be honest. But that's only because I ended up waking at almost 2 AM and didn't get to sleep until past 3 AM. Crazy, right? In any case, I finally remembered to post this here even when it's already past 4 PM here in 🇵🇭 and currently cooking dinner. And as the title stated, I finished reading another book! Yay! All this daily page count quota for reading is somehow doing well for my reading slump. But let's see if I can keep up in doing this for more than a month. By the way, this mainly talks more about my reading and nothing about my writing. I didn't write at all yesterday, which was a bummer, to be honest. 😔😞😕

Good morning! Yes, I'm writing this in the morning while it was still dark in my room. I got another daily blog entry almost amounting as my digital morning journal. Maybe I'm making this my new routine alongside my daily reading and writing. That'll be good for me, to be honest.
As for an update on OMOTD, I still haven't written anything on the next chapter just yet. But I'm already planning on my next Narnia fanfic featuring an OC and Peter this time. And yes, it was also based on the character ships courtesy of @pevensiesimagines that I requested a long time ago, when this account was still under the name "dreamcoloredgift". In the meantime, maybe I could write some Narnia one-shot fanfics since I noticed that I only wrote ONE short fic. Let's change that later, okay? 😊✌️👍
