Studying animal management taught me a lot
Not least of which was the ability to look at an animal, stare into it's big, round, wet eyes, listen to it's most plaintive and sorrowful begging. And still say NO.
#aquila thinks#it's not cold-hearted#i love my cats SO MUCH#it's knowing that if I give them the ten extra treats they're begging for#the they'll become worryingly overweight at best#or throw it all back up on the carpet at worst#'how can you say no to that face?' because i'm thinking about the carpet stains and their health.
