But like tiktok for all its flaws was incredibly useful for me and others. I learned about what maladaptive daydreaming was on tiktok and realized I'd been doing it constantly for escapism and how terribly it was impacting my life. I learned all sorts of fun recipes to try out and incorporate into my meal rotation. I learned about plasma donation as a source of supplementing my income and how it's not as scary as most people make it seem. I got tips on buying a new car and how not to screwed over with financing. I learned little ways to improve my cats' health and what to avoid for them and easy enrichment ideas. I found cheap outlet websites to buy overflow clearance items for cheaper than in store and save some money. I got an insight into how fucked the healthcare system is from the doctor's perspective and how to best handle that if I wanna go into that field. I found tons of fun music, movies, tv shows, anime, books, manga, video games, and crafts to try.

And it's all gone. Just like that.

What is the point of attacking authors for the stuff that they wrote for assholes like you, for free? To read? People who leave comments like this on people’s work need to back the fuck up and get a life.

normally I’d just block and ignore but my friends have been getting comments like this too after simply politely asking for elaboration on other use’s incomprehensible comments. So I’d like to make a statement.

Something I genuinely miss is sitting across from someone, face to face and just talking for hours. With no agenda, no “oh I have to rush off” or “I only have an hour to chat.” Talking about anything and everything. Getting to share yourself with them and being privileged enough to have them share who they are with you. I miss hearing the expression in peoples voices as they talk and seeing it in their face, reading body language for context clues on what’s actually being said. I hate that so much of this is replaced digitally. Social media, texting, video calls, etc. and yeah maybe I sound old saying all of that. But I truly hate what being online has done to communication and quality time. Like they’re not inherently bad things, they’re just very limiting to connection and human expression and I’ll die on this hill lol.

I figured out a day or two ago that SSO Ridethrough still exists. The unique domain name just expired, so it's back to using a wordpress url, which is why a bunch of the old links don't work

So if you guys want to see the Old Quest Dialogue (like 2018 and earlier), look for ssoridethrough.wordpress.com (not linking it directly because we all know tumblr can be weird about links). If a link on the site doesn't work trying the search function instead, so far it's worked for me.

Not generally! (unless it's just pointless hate/an anti yapping, in which case sometimes I answer for a quick dunk if it's stupid enough to be funny, but most of the time I prefer to not glorify that kind of message with an answer and just block the anon/account.) If it seems like I'm not answering an ask, I either didn't get it, or I couldn't formulate an answer right away/needed some time to think on what to say, and thus am saving it for when I'm gonna be able to answer properly!
