Especially emotionally, you try to see it from their perspective and not from someone that’s an outsider perspective in that situation, whatever it might be. That only comes second, third and so on. In the past you have made some pretty bad choices. I am not judging, because who didn’t? These could be things that you aren’t necessarily proud of and that you know hurt people. At that time, you didn’t have people’s best interest at heart. You didn’t even care much for it even.

Alright my beautiful pile three, I see your struggles. You have happened to be born into and grow up in an environment that doesn’t serve you any right. One that doesn’t align with your soul and keeps making you go through hardships.

Your family members are not necessarily people who always have your best interest at heart, and even if they do they don’t always succeed in showing you that.

They are much different from you, and even though you don’t necessarily deem yourself as perfect you know they are at times toxic even if they try to include you in things, try to make you feel good in your skin and so on. You, essentially are the black sheep of your family. Not because you try to stand out, not because you cause trouble on purpose but because you try to not make the mistakes that they do.

That I'm not a deck collector is what makes me so happy about my "collection". Every deck was purchased excitedly, waited for thrillingly, or gifted lovingly by someone who matters to me. 🤍

Sadly — or not — I can't do the same for my books, as they are gladly scattered throughout my home.

Apollo's altar is as extra as he is.

My Cthonic deity altar. It is typically visited by Melinoe and Hermes

Though the Cthonic altar is an elevated altar, which is not suitable for those deities and I am getting an urge (from Apollo I believe) to replace it.

I think that I may relocate his altar to where the spooky altar is.

However, with the quality of that shelf, it'll have fewer tarot decks.

PSA - Small or miniature tarot decks are likely counterfeit

I’ve been seeing this happen more regularly at local metaphysical shops or artesian fairs. There will be small tarot decks that are priced over $40. THESE ARE COUNTERFEIT.

Unless a deck is specifically marketed as “miniature,” it’s more than likely a counterfeit deck that sellers are charging ridiculous prices for. ALWAYS look up the decks and see what the average price is for it. The most egregious example I’ve seen was a Cat Tarot that I bought full size for $13 was being sold at $45 for a SMALL COUNTERFEIT.

From what I’ve seen, the average tarot deck is between $20-$35. And the $35 are usually in bigger box sets and have stunning art. Decks from indie artists or specialty decks are more expensive (like $50-$75) but they’re full sized, you’re supporting an artist, and the decks are gorgeous.

Scam artists can buy the counterfeit ones for dirt cheap and then upsell them like crazy. Be on the lookout, and when possible, buy from the artist!

Seeking advice!! Is Guardian of the Night tarot AI "art"?

This was gifted to me by a family member and I loved it at first sight, but the cards really throw me off and look a lot like AI to me (especially the deer - look at his ears!) I found the author's obscure bio page where she says it's not AI, & she uses a Wacom tablet and Photoshop, but I'm just not convinced.

To go along with this - is the author real, too? Or is this another case of AI "authors" and ghost books/decks?

I'm so upset that we live in a time where I have to ask if a human made this art or not.

The Return of the Normal Tarot is imminent, my friends.

@normal-horoscopes@cryptotheism's original deck, the Normal Tarot, upended the form of tarot. Seasons in place of suits, a trio of Knights and a Lady, Queen, and Mother in place of courts, not to mention the reimagined Major Arcana.

The first edition with art by @worm-dark had great success, then the second edition featured two new decks, one in gold foil by @charminglyantiquated, and another in silver, updated from the first edition. And all three of the first and second edition decks are going to see reprints in 2024 with the Return of the Normal Tarot...

But we're also going to see an all-new, full color third edition, illustrated by Ezra Kimbell. This brand new take will be the final iteration of this incredible deck, and I'm very excited to announce we'll have a fantastic and attainable price point for all the decks.

Thrift stores but for witches/pagans/Spirtiual fellows.

Imagine during this age of consumerism especially on the rise of witchcraft and tarot lately there should be a cheaper and affordable way to get supplies and items than paying a fortune. Yes used but it can really help the community! Today People are spending money like their life depends on them especially on witchcraft tools and items a lot of sellers are taking advantage on those in the community. To be less involved in consumerism and help the environment and the community we should start donate to stores of used witch items, books, decks, statues, instead of having people rely on Amazon or other retailers who don’t give a rat ass about these items, overprice, not knowing if the item is fake or not, plus where they get these items can be shady and unethical. Of course support your local metaphysical shop, heck you can donate used items at your metaphysical if they let you ofc just ask before hand. It’s super helpful and more charitable as well. I don’t ever throw out my tarot decks or burn them, but cleanse them and resell them on Poshmark, Etsy, any websites that may pay for used items.

Of course this is just a suggestion and my thoughts! You don’t have to people may have other reasons or beliefs why they cannot donate which is perfectly okay. Just sharing my two cents! :)

This deck has 41 Major Arcana cards and a total of 97.

The extra cards are the four virtues (Hope, Prudence, Faith, Charity), the four elements and the 12 Zodiac signs.

Other deviations from the standard tarot deck are a few Major Arcana character replacements, the portrayal of two female Pages, and the use of centaurs and monsters to represent the Knights.
