im still thinking abt how eurylochus was the only voice who changed tempo/speed DRASTICALLY in love in paradise..

and he’s the only one who got cut off? polites finished his whole verse and anticlea is singing one word so 😭😭 but eurylochus still had the “and people die on it, woah ohh”

is it bc his words affected odysseus the most? bc eurylochus’ words were the truth and nothing but the truth? polites is giving odysseus an ideology that got him and most of the crew killed, if odysseus held onto it then he would die anyway as well.

but eurylochus chimes in and keeps him grounded. odysseus tries to fight his voice the most, but he can’t fight the truth, and that’s why every time he goes “HOW” it breaks through the other voices then fades back again.

each word is dragged out as if they cling onto odysseus’ mind, knowing that eurylochus was right the whole time, yet he still refuses to fully acknowledge it.

odysseus then cuts eurylochus off right before he says “and people die on it.” bc, well, does that need to be said? it’s the blatant truth and odysseus finally realises that as he calls out to his immortal friend - his only friend that can’t die on him.

Sukuna is Peak Gap Moe. I’ll never be over this. This bastard talks tough, eats people, and kills like a woodchipper and yet…he is a poetic little sap. Getting mad over an improper haikus, the misidentification of flowers…and confessing his feelings to Gojo Satoru under several layers of wordplay no one except those well-versed in ancient Japanese would catch.

I've been over this in greater detail in Sukuna's Negative Rizz, but @tangsakura added more context in the replies to that post, making Sukuna's use of 凡夫 (bonpu) for Gojo even gayer.

In summary, 凡夫 (bonpu) can be translated as painfully ordinary or unenlightened. But in the individual kanji readings, 凡 is mediocre and 夫 is husband. You could read this as Sukuna calling Gojo his mediocre husband. And that's just the modern readings! The ancient readings...

So you can read this line from Sukuna as the following:

“You were born in an era without me and hailed as 'The Strongest'

1) And yet you turned out to be…painfully ordinary.”

2) And yet you turned out to be…unenlightened.”

3) And yet you turned out to be…a mediocre husband/wife/spouse.”

4) And yet you turned out to be…the ordinary one who could stand by my side.”

Sukuna seems to be saying these things all at once. (It’s no different than the Megumi Activities wordplay he uses with Enchain. Alt. link if the Twitter dies.) Gojo apparently makes him feel very conflicted. He’s boring, he can do better, he shouldn’t even call himself the Honored One, he’s his equal, they’re married. The irony here is that no one except Sukuna can understand this.

Will never get over how Starscream and Skyfire's relationship is always doomed. There's never an iteration of them where they both stay on the same side at the end. They always end up being against each other, tearing each other apart (whether intentionally or not). They always end up losing each other, be it by a snowstorm, by the war, or by death itself. They never receive a happy ending together, one if not both of them is doomed to suffer.

Skyfire is doomed to be an Autobot, by forces out of his control. Starscream is doomed to be an Decepticon, by his own self destructive tendencies. They are both doomed, because of who they are. They always try to save the other, in their own way. But it never works. They are doomed to fail, whether they stay together or not.

Peppy Hare, Fox McCloud's adoptive father after James' death. He and James McCloud were best friends, ride or die, but they had a long and complicated situationship as well. Even past James' death, however, Peppy's love prevailed through his care for his son Fox. Through thick and thin, Peppy has been Fox's biggest advocate, pushing him to pursue his ambitions even when Fox didn't believe in himself.

He becomes Team Star Fox's advisor in the skies, with his wisdom and experience. Because he has had bad experiences with a team member who always came crying for help, he tends to be critical of Slippy, dreading the thought that Slippy may turn out like Pigma. His critical attitude towards Slippy can spark arguments between him and Fox - much like any father and son.

on one hand i wish jetko was a bigger thing in this fandom because i think that its so wonderful and complex and has the capacity to be both deep and meaningful but also silly and fun and i think that everyone should be talking about it forever

but on the other hand all of the jetko stans are somehow the exact same level of unhinged about them and are really sweet and it’s such a nice little community and i don’t trust the rest of the fandom to behave themselves if it breaks containment too much

The current game timeline was not the first time The Lamb has lived their life. About 1000 years ago, they were once known as Samsara, a bard who sailed to the Lands of the Old Faith after feeling out of place in their community and sought inspiration for their tales and songs.

After being captured and brought to the siblings' court one day during their travels, they pleaded their usefulness through a performance. Their natural charisma won them their life, becoming something similar to a court jester that allowed them to get closer to each of the Bishops. Eventually though, Samsara grew most fond of the Bishop of Death.

He in turn, accepted them as an apostle for his inner circle. Their ability to draw in crowds with kind words about eternal life and how death is something to celebrate than fear, proved to be a smart move as Narinder's following saw an uptick before the incident.

Surprisingly, for an emotionally callous person such as he, Narinder really did see Samsara as a good friend— to the extent a god could befriend a mortal that is.

The first time he finally put his revival experiments to use was when Samsara and a few of his followers sacrificed themselves to give him enough power to win an ambush by another crownbearer.

All of the siblings loved Samsara, so of course they did not oppose their brother's actions at first. Little did they know that this single act will begin a very... very long series of events.

I’m not a shipper and I don't usually like this ship, but I’ve been thinking about romance and specifically my AroAce Scout headcanon a lot lately, so I present this:

Speedingbullet, but it was one-sided attraction on snipers part? And we followed how Scout feels about someone being in love with him when he can’t reciprocate it?

Sniper is a pretty distant lover, so Scout matches that distance, thinking that’s what Sniper wants from the relationship, but when they are together, when they are being loving, Scout tries to match Sniper's energy but he just can’t, he tries to put on an act of affection but it’s missing that key component he can’t quite place.

On one hand, Scout likes feeling loved, he likes feeling important, but on the other hand, the pet names and the touches and the kisses and the saccharine tone projected in Sniper's voice just make Scout so sick. He can’t get himself to return the same things with the same fervor with the same emotion behind them, and it drives him nuts because he doesn’t understand what’s different about his attraction for Sniper and vice versa. Does he even think Sniper is hot? Does he even find the man attractive? Or did he simply decide that, because Sniper confessed, he had to say yes, that maybe something would spark in him towards the man once he got into a relationship with him?

He’s never quite been romantically or sexually attracted to someone (sometimes he thinks it is attraction, but it isn’t) but at least with the women he dated, he found them hot in some sense of the word. Attractive, but in a different way, in a separate way from his peers. But with Sniper all he can see is another man, another guy. He feels nothing. And it’s not like he wants to feel this way. He wants to feel something, too, he wants to feel the connection that Sniper has with him, but he can’t, and it’s tearing him apart.

He can’t think to break it off because obviously Sniper’s happy, and it’s not like Scout’s hurt in any way, it’s not like Scout’s being abused by him. Is he the abuser here? Is he the one in the wrong, taking and taking Sniper's love but never giving it back the same way? He doesn’t want to hurt Sniper, but no matter what he does he’ll just fuck everything up, and he doesn’t want to do that. More than anything he’s lost and he’s confused, stuck in a situation he knows so many others would be begging for and knows he should be begging for, knows he should want more than anything, but he just doesn’t. It’s eating him alive.
