All JoJos put together!
Jonathan Joestar: Head of the Joestar progenitor pod, considered one of the largest mermen in history at a whopping 62 feet in length. His pod extends over several different oceans and includes the Stardust, Green Dolphin, Morioh and Passione sub-pods — he frequently makes trips between each of these sub-pods, generally to visit the other members of his bloodline and coddle their hatchlings. Furthermore, because Jonathan has a unique mix of Caretaker and Protector instincts, he also finds himself tailing ships and swimming around other aquatic vessels in an effort to defend or help them in their endeavors.
Tumblr media
Joseph Joestar: As Jonathan’s grandson and the 3rd largest of his kin (54 feet), technically Joseph is lined up to take over the main Joestar bloodline once Jonathan gets too old/passes away — he has no intentions of doing this. He split off from the main Joestar pod once he became mature, and created a smaller pod with a man (mer) named Caesar for a spell. Ceasar helped Joseph in his battle against 4, nearly ancient Leviathan mers, resulting in severely broken ribs and collarbone for Ceasar while Joseph went missing for several months. When he turned back up, he was missing his right arm from the elbow down and swimming in a slightly tilted gait. After that, he co-created another pod with his own grandson, the Stardust Crusaders, and followed them around until he heard about his half Siren son at which point he joined the Morioh pod for a bit and picked up a little fry with a unique “glass flesh” mutation that he went on to name Shizuka.
Tumblr media
Jotaro Kujo: Unique among mers for the fact that he has a color changing mutation, and he’s partially immune to Coaxing Siren Songs — they’re unsure as to exactly what caused this, but they’ve speculated that it’s a recessive gene from Holly. He’s INCREDIBLY dense with muscle and about the same size as Joseph. Travelled from Japan’s coasts to Africa’s in search for a cure for his mother’s sudden illness, eventually surrendering her to a facility in Egypt. For the month and a half that they were staying there, they were repeatedly under siege by followers (not pod, followers) of Dio, eventually resulting in a battle that left Avdol a double arm amputee, Kakyoin partially blind in both eyes, and Polnareff missing fins on his left side. In the years following, Jotaro stayed with the Stardust Crusaders off the coasts of Japan, taking care of his less able bodied podmates — he has Jolyne at some point, but both Jotaro and Joseph have to temporarily separate from them to check out Josuke in Morioh and deal with the serial murders of merfolk in vicinity. A few years later, he checks in on Giorno at Jonathan’s request along with Polnareff — Pol stays behind to help integrate Giorno with the Speedwagon Foundation and get the rest of Giorno’s new pod under control. Years later with the remaining Crusaders (and the addition of Shizuka) Jotaro helps Jolyne and her mother finish up agreements with the Green Dolphin Rehabilitation Center, the Crusaders deciding to settle down in a territory just outside of where Jolyne settles.

Hiii, do you know of any books with chronically physically disabled main characters? And books with housebound disabled characters?
For the previous ask, I would prefer if the disabled characters were also bi but it's fine if there aren't any books like that. I'm fine with queer in general too
--
I'm not sure what you personally would consider *chronically* disabled (arthritis? amputee? deaf? HIV+?) but the QBDatabase actually has 411 books with disabled Main Characters or Love Interests! To try to narrow it down, I filtered for either chronic pain or chronic illness + bisexual (or pan / queer)
Full Disclosure by Garrett, Camryn: HIV+ black bisexual female
Sick Kids in Love by Moskowitz, Hannah: female MC with arthritis x bisexual male LI with Gaucher disease
Architects of Memory by Osborne, Karen: terminally ill bisexual female MC
Two Rogues Make a Right by Sebasian Cat: chronically ill demisexual male x bisexual male
Sorrowland by Solomon, Rivers: black albino bisexual intersex MC who is partially blind and has chronic pain
The Queer Principles of Kit Webb by Sebastian, Cat: mga disabled male with chronic pain who uses a cane x gay male
City of Shattered Light by Winn, Claire: chronically ill bisexual female MC
Tripping Arcadia by Mayquist, Kit: chronically ill bisexual male prominent SC
Fight + Flight by Machias, Jules: pansexual female MC with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
The Unbroken by Clark, C. L.: bisexual female MC who uses a cane and has chronic pain in her legs
Cruel Seduction by Robert, Katee: polyamorous bisexual male MC with chronic pain from a knee injury (FFMM bi4bi poly-pairing)
Eight Kinky Nights by West, Xan: FF pairing, pansexual x greysexual, one has arthritis but I don't know which one
The Friendship Study by Barrett, Ruby: bisexual male MC with chronic pain who uses a cane
If there's any other type of disability you're looking for, you can filter by 20 physical disabilities while also filtering for mga (bi, pan, omni, etc) identities!

It's interesting how many amputees I've seen on here vs other disabilities! I think it's partially bc a lot of stories inherently involve traumatic injuries. IDK, just an interesting pattern
Yeah definitely. Part of it is though just how we go through submissions. We haven’t really been keeping track of what disabilities have shown up the most, but the ones that have popped up a lot so far are amputees, wheelchair users, blind characters, and Deaf characters. (We might make actual statistics at some point)

Watched me the 2009 indie stop motion black comedy film. Mary and Max and…. I fucking love it! It’s a work of art. The story is pretty amazing and has a lot of humorous and tear jerking moments. Some of the humorous moments I laughed at. 8 year old Australian girl, Mary Dinkle, is an outcast. Her parents are mainly neglectful and she finds comfort in food and cartoons. While 44 year old New York man, Max Horowitz, is an obese outcast who too, finds comfort in food and cartoons. Mary gets curious at a post office one day and writes him a letter and after staring in the window for 18 hours, Max writes back. After that, a whole lot happens. Including an adult Mary pissing Max off after she thinks that autism (referred to as Asperger’s here) can be “cured”. It takes Max, in a pure heat of the moment of blind, unadulterated rage against a homeless man unintentionally setting off max’s biggest pet peeve (littered cigarette butts) to realize that mary and humans ourselves, are imperfect. Mary finally gets to see max in the end but max has passed away peacefully, never forgetting the memories along the way as Mary cries tears of joy, with her infant son as well cause yeah.
I love the animation and the amount of detail it went into it. Stop motion is a highly underrated but purely amazing way of animating and animation as a whole. Especially the Typewriter used!
Also, as an autistic myself, I can relate to max and his personal struggles. This movie shows the more unfortunate parts of being autistic and especially being an autistic adult, and remember, the film does take place mainly during the 70’s and 80’s back when autistics could be easily rid of, shipped off to the ward in which they could be experimented on a lot (that’s what max went through once). And I too, got pissed alongside max when Mary showed him the book about “curing” autism. and the film does show that while us autistics may struggle to express emotions on the outside, we are showing a lot of emotion on the inside. Another thing I relate to, sadly, is not being able to cry a lot. There have been times a plenty in which I wanted to cry but just couldn’t get myself to do it. And it is sad that max got ridiculed for being Jewish. Antisemitism sucks ass, alongside ableism as well. Although, I do feel bad for Mary as well, her father works long hours at a tea factory and focuses more on taxidermy than his family and her mother is a drunken thief. Both of them end up dying a year within each other and seeing Mary’s ex husband, Damon, leaving her was pretty sad as well.
The film also shows that the school system doesn’t care about anyone that’s dealing with issues regarding emotion and bullying. Especially during the 70’s and 80’s. I loved it when Mary stood up against her bully. And I also loved it when Len, the agoraphobic, WWII veteran amputee neighbor, ended up saving the day right before Mary succeeded in her own death in her own darkest hour.
The voices and music are great as well and the vocal direction I also admire! Vocal direction/line delivery can make or break voices and in this case, it really makes the film tbh.
Overall, I rate this film a 10/10. I have nothing bad or flaws to say about it/with it. It’s amazing and I personally recommend ya’ll go watch it (although, the film is definitely NOT for kids)
Oh, a note, the film was partially based off a true story. The key plot of the film (Australian kid and Autistic American adult write letters to each other) was real. The other parts were luckily for show.
Que Sera, Sera to all. And to all, a good night!

So I figured this could be fun too—basically, I thought it'd be fun if we all collectively made a rewrite of spooky month. Not cuz I think the show is bad or anything—I just thought it'd be fun to see what you'd all come up with lmao.

@ canon disabilities: I have three kins from the book series The Lunar Chronicles and all three of them are disabled in some way. Cinder is the one who is closest to our reality-as her I was a burn survivor and double amputee as a result. The others are more disabilities in context of that world. As Cress, I was considered disabled as I could not use the Lunar gift and as Winter I had what was called The Lunar Sickness which is sort of similar to our world's definition of psychosis I suppose, as it causes very extreme hallucinations, but is caused specifically by not using the Lunar gift for a long period of time.
In addition a few other examples are Kaori from Your Lie in April who is generally accepted to have had Fredrich's Ataxia, I have multiple kintypes who are fully or partially blind, a few that are deaf, and I have others with various mental and physical disabilities. For instance as Jinx I'm pretty sure I had BPD, psychosis, PTSD, (possibly C-PTSD as well and yes if anyone is unaware you can have both) ADHD and probably some form of anxiety. I was never officially diagnosed afaik because Zaun's mental health system basically didn't exist, but these are my best guesses. (#🌙🌹🐚)

Happy Disability Pride Month to the SaB characters! Here are more HCs:
some in-universe hcs to match this post about alternate universe hcs
Genya is a genderqueer bi lesbian with chronic pain and reduced mobility in her left arm. The scarring covers most of her body, but especially her face and her shoulder, leaving her blind on her left side and partially deaf in her left ear.
Genya struggles with C-PTSD and intense flashbacks. She’s autistic and married to her autistic husband, David. She's spymaster to the crown, and takes great pride in her ability to keep those under her care safe and protected.
At David's encouragement, she eventually gets with Zoya and Alina, even finding a fast friend in Mal, who can relate to her many struggles.
Alina is a bisexual, nonbinary person (she/they) with OCD, BPD, and schizophrenia. Her intense bouts of depression often align with suicidal thoughts, and the worsening of her other symptoms, including chronic fatigue and chronic migraines.
When Alina lost her powers, it affected her senses and her body, as well as her mind. Mal helps her through her phases of grief and depression, staying with her at her lowest moments of loneliness and isolation, to her highest moments of joy at her new life and what she is building with him.
For a long while, it was only her and Mal, but she slowly reformed contact with her old friends again. First entering a relationship with Genya - when she realizes Genya has assigned spies to check up on her and watch her house - and then with Zoya, who finally comes to visit in person after many years of simple letters and the occasional gift.
Zoya is pansexual, polyamorous, and bigender, identifying as both a woman and a demiwoman, and she is deaf. She is also autistic, and deals with insomnia and night terrors as the result of her PTSD.
After learning her dragon form, Zoya lost her ability to hear as a human. As a dragon, she is still becoming acquainted with her new senses and the dragon's very different methods of thought. The adjustment is not an easy one, and Zoya spends many hours sparring to reacquaint herself with both of her bodies, as well as meditating in an attempt to handle her new bouts of dissociation.
Zoya is in a close relationship with Nikolai, who shares her experiences in many ways. He struggles with his new monster form, and is also deaf because of this. They work together to recover from their losses, and Zoya also finds comfort in her other partners - Alina, Genya, and Mal - as well.
Mal is a bisexual trans man with ADHD, SSD, and PTSD. He is an amputee that experiences chronic pain, and has essential tremors in his left hand.
When Alina was forced to take his bones and wear them to gain her powers, they had to amputate his right arm to keep the infection from spreading. He, David, and Genya often work together to create prosthetics for his arm as well as her eye, and have formed a close friendship because of this. Mal even begins a relationship with Nikolai, after the man visits him one too many times to be normal, and they eventually invite Alina into the relationship as well.
Mal lives with Alina in their small orphanage, taking care of their children and finally settling into his retirement from military life. While he often has flashbacks to old battles, and especially the deaths of his friends, Alina and his new family are always there to help him through them and show him he is loved and safe.

anonymouse asked: Do you have any fan kids with disabilities? If yes who are they and who is your favorite one of them
oh i have a TON! literally so many. you can honestly assume the majority, if not all, of my characters are neurodivergent in some way, though i'm not sure if that's what you mean by disabled, and as far as i know i haven't given any of them intellectual disabilities yet, but that may change in the future. of the ones i've written profiles for, my favorite with a physical disability is [Akiyuki Kajii](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/akiyuki-kajii-kajiishoufu), who is partially deaf. of the ones without profiles, Ivan "Vanya" Dostoevsky II was blinded by an antagonist character when he was eight and now uses a cane as well as his ability to navigate, he's one of fyodor and ivan's kids as his name suggests. but there are lots of other disabled characters too! [Yoshiko Kunikida](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/yoshiko-kunikida-kunikidakatai) has CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) and hypersomnia and is one of the eight protagonists in [the hateful eight](https://archiveofourown.org/works/33677512/chapters/83696107) others with disabilities who have profiles include: [Anastasia Dostoevskaya](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/anastasia-dostoevskaya-fyodorivan), who has a scar on her face and lasting nerve damage in her face from where she was stabbed [Andrei Dostoevsky](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/andrei-dostoevsky-fyodorivan), who walks with a cane [Francis Rawlings Alcott-Armstrong](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/francis-rawlings-alcott-armstrong-louisamarjoriewilliam), who uses a wheelchair [Fumiko Dazai](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/fumiko-dazai-dazaichuuya), who has a massive burn scar on her face and upper torso and is a double amputee from an explosion when she was twelve, and also has permanent nerve damage and a speech disorder (which was present from birth, but got worse after the incident) [Hyakken Fukuzawa](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/hyakken-fukuzawa-fukuzawamori), who suffered a traumatic brain injury after his middle school teacher nearly beat him to death, and now at times suffers with on-and-off seizures (they're less common than they used to be, but can still happen) and chronic migraines, as well as other issues surrounding his trauma [Kodou Kajii](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/kodou-kajii-kajiishoufu-oc), who is partially deaf like his adopted brother, Akiyuki, though for a different reason [Kurt Rawlings Alcott-Armstrong](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/kurt-rawlings-alcott-armstrong-louisamarjoriewilliam), who is mostly deaf and partially blind [Murasaki Nakajima-Akutagawa](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/murasaki-nakajima-akutagawa), who occasionally suffers with seizures as a side effect from how her previously-uncontrollable ability, Tale of Genji, would cause her to have seizures whenever it activated, and now sometimes has them as a result of the damage that caused, albeit to a lesser scale now and far less often [Shuusaku Dazai](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/shuusaku-dazai-dazaichuuya), who has Congenital Insensitivity to Pain (CITP) and is unable to sweat or regulate his body temperature normally on his own [Takeshi Oda](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/takeshi-oda-odaango), who has schizophrenia as well as chronic pain issues starting later in life [Tatsuji Fukuzawa](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/tatsuji-fukuzawa-fukuzawamori), who went blind in one eye due to natural causes as a child [Tatsuko Tanizaki](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/tatsuko-tanizaki-tachiharajunichirou), who also went blind in one eye due to natural causes as a child but loves telling people wild stories about "losing her eye" when in actuality the eye is still very much present under her eyepatch, she just likes to be silly [Tsutomu Fukuzawa](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/tsutomu-fukuzawa-fukuzawamori), who has severe anemia, chronic vitamin deficiencies, chronic pain, and is prone to fainting spells, especially when on his period due to the anemia combined with bleeding heavily for idiopathic reasons (this is genetic and comes from Mori) [Yoshihiro Fukuzawa](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/yoshihiro-fukuzawa-fukuzawamori-riki-fukuzawa-canine-companion), who is eventually diagnosed with PCOS after entering puberty, and also has a service dog, Riki (whose profile is listed alongside theirs) starting when they're about five due to the severity of their autism symptoms (namely, they were prone to meltdowns due to overstimulation, which happened very easily) and anxiety nearly causing them to become homebound; the anxiety stemmed from separation anxiety from their parents, but when Riki was brought into the family, Yoshi bonded with him quickly, and found that their symptoms were easier to navigate and manage with Riki at their side; Yoshi also has selective mutism and will almost always prefer to speak using JSL rather than with their mouth [Yuriko Fukuzawa](https://bungou-stray-pups.super.site/profiles-list/all-list-style-profiles/yuriko-fukuzawa-fukuzawamori) has BPD that was severe enough to get diagnosed at a young age [Smile or comment on the answer here](https://retrospring.net/@bungoustraypups/a/111960581190762289)

Hi! I’m sorry this is pretty random but I don’t really know where else to talk about this and since I’ve seen you talk about disabilities a lot I thought I could ask for your opinion as well
Now, I’m not exactly disabled in the traditional sense for many I think.
I’ve had eye problems for years, only recently did I find out that it’s actually cornea dystrophy, a genetic disease not exactly treatable except it gets bad enough to need a cornea transplant (which usually only happens in older ages) My doctor said I don’t need that
My case however is also still a bit severe, I have to take eye drops mornings and evenings and even those don’t always help and I simply have to hope that I don’t wake up to pain. In cornea dystrophy your cornea doesn’t get lubricated enough and easily rips apart. This mostly happens in the morning… oh and how it happens… it’s an absolute nightmare at least thrice a week I’m ripped out of sleep by sudden severe pain in one of my eyes (it switches it’s always one or the other) it feels like someone is nonstop pouring acid in your eye and I always scramble to take pain killers, eye drops (which burn like hell on a fresh rip) and water, all in hurry because no one wants to understand how agonising it is and my boss also won’t understand that I WILL have days where I’m partially blind on one eye (everytime after an “attack” that eye usually sees completely blurry for a day or more depending on the severity of the rip and pain) sometimes the pain spreads over the entire side of my skull and my eye is crying non stop and my nose is also running bc of the sensation in my eye.
But no one around me wants to understand because my doctor simply said “just use eye drops frequently”. I do.. I use eyedrops, eye gel and eye patches everyday and still have frequent “attacks” and everyone treats them like they’re nuisances for THEM.
I’m hesitant to call this a disability, it does affect me and takes me out of commission before I scramble to lessen the impact in the morning yet I can still function “normally”.
I honestly don’t know where I wanted to go with this anymore…. I think I just want someone to know what I’m dealing with because neither family nor work are showing any understanding
Please feel free to ignore this and if you read this far thank you… You don’t have to reply or anything I think at this point I’m just venting and I’m so sorry to bother you with this
Please don't feel bad messaging me! I'm not a doctor of course, nor am I an expert in disability, but I don't mind having these conversations. Although fair warning, my answer will probably be just as rambly as you're worried yours was.
There's a lot to beeak down here including shitty doctors but first and foremost, I would absolutely call your condition disability, and I would even say that a lot of disabled people would agree.
Disability is a term that has many definitions depending on who is using it. Doctors, sociologists, government, and different aspects of the disabled community will all define it differently, but this is the dictionary definition:
a physical, mental, cognitive, or developmental condition that impairs, interferes with, or limits a person's ability to engage in certain tasks or actions or participate in typical daily activities and interactions
I'd certainly say that your condition certainly qualifies. Inability to see through one eye, even episodically, the need to rely on medications, pain that wakes you up or results in an inability to function. All of those are disabling. To say it isn't is like saying diabetes isn't a disability because all they need to do is take insulin, nevermind all of the other issues that come along with it. That lower-limb amputee? They aren't disabled, all they need to do is strap on a prosthetic leg! But it doesn't work like that. A disability is still a disability even with treatment or accessability.
Having good days, or even being "fine" a few hours after an episode, doesn't negate its impact on your life. It's an invisble disability, which is probably where a lot of people's shitty opinions come from. Other people can't see the problem, so, therefore, it must not exist. You must just be overreacting or faking or using it as an excuse to get out of work because otherwise they would see it. Unfortunately, it's easier for people to pretend disability simply doesn't exist. People around you not trying to understand or accomodate is ableism. It's also a willful and fundimental misunderstanding of disability. Just because some days I have the energy to clean, or you can see through both eyes, or a dementia patient remembers their daughter's name, doesn't magically make the condition go away, or make it impact your life any less when it does happen.
Your doctor being unconcerned(which is probably the wrong word. Uncaring? Unsympathetic?) is another problem but that one is deeply rooted in ableism within the medical community, and the common view of disability by medical professionals. Just because you don't need a cornea transplant doesn't mean you aren't deserving of care and sympathy from those around you. Even if they can't do anything to help, you still deserve that respect, and it's shitty that you don't have that.
The entire situation just sucks. The people are you suck. I'm sure they're lovely otherwise but this is obviously a part where they're lacking, and I'm sorry they're unwilling to accept that your conditon impacts you.
Edit: also feel free to DM me if you'd ever like to chat, or send me another ask

Here are twenty Legends characters to consider creating content with for this event! This is just a highlight list of the more major characters/characters I particularly like/unique characters. There are many more, and I provided some links you may find helpful for a deeper search!
I kept the list primarily to physical disabilities just because those are easily defined on page whereas neurodiversity of fictional characters can be more open to interpretation. For example, I would say based on the Jedi Quest books that Ferus Olin probably has an anxiety disorder. But it is not something that is explicitly said, so it is up to interpretation and other people may see it differently than me. This is in contrast to something more explicitly defined, like the fact that Tenel Ka is an amputee.
Amputees
Cay Qel-Droma - a Jedi of the Old Republic in the Tales of the Jedi comics lost his left arm in battle and later received a prosthetic.
Bao-Dur - a Zabrak Jedi of the Old Republic in the second Knights of the Old Republic game lost an arm during the Mandalorian Wars and later received a prosthetic.
Zule Xiss - a Falleen Jedi padawan of the Clone Wars era in the Republic comics lost her arm to Ventress in the same battle that claimed the life of her Jedi master, Glaive. She continued to fight for the Republic with a prosthetic arm until she was killed in the Battle of Jabiim.
Tholme - a Jedi of the Republic/Clone Wars/Early Empire era in the Republic comics, loses his right leg and left eye during the Clone Wars. He receives a prosthetic for both, and uses a cane to walk after this occurs.
Tenel Ka Djo - a Jedi of the New Republic era becomes an amputee in the Young Jedi Knights books after a lightsaber malfunction. After discussion with Luke about his experience as an amputee, she chooses not to receive a prosthetic and learns to adapt to fighting and living with a single arm.
Tionne Solusar - a Jedi of the New Republic era has a prosthetic arm and leg. She was one of Luke's original students at the New Jedi Order academy.
Nawara Ven - a pilot of Rogue Squadron lost a leg below the knee in an engagement and returned to their previous career of practicing law after receiving this injury and prosthetic.
Gavar Khai - a Sith of the New Republic era in the Fate of the Jedi books lost his arm in battle with Luke Skywalker and had it replaced with a prosthetic.
Wolf Sazen - a Zabrak Jedi of the Legacy era in the Legacy (2006) comics has a prosthetic arm. He is closely tied to the Skywalker family, as Kol Skywalker's padawan and Cade Skywalker's master.
You can find a longer list of characters with prosthetics here, a list of characters with lost limbs here, and of course Luke and Anakin fall into this category as well!
Facial Injuries & Disfigurement +/- additional amputation
Darth Malak - a Sith of the Old Republic era in the game Knights of the Old Republic has a facial injury leading to the use of a prosthetic voice box and jaw
Jace Malcom - a Republic Trooper of the Old Republic era in the game Star Wars: The Old Republic received a facial injury in battle that led to disfigurement. He was also Satele Shan's lover and Theron Shan's father.
Darth Malgus - a Sith of the Old Republic era in the game Star Wars: The Old Republic has a facial injury and uses a respirator and prosthetic
Laranth Tarak - a Twi'lek Jedi of the Clone Wars/Early Empire era in the Coruscant Nights trilogy received injuries that led to facial scarring and the partial loss of one of her lekku while escaping and helping evacuate others from the Temple during Order 66/Operation Knightfall.
Blindness
Zao - a Jedi Master of the Republic/Clone Wars/Early Empire eras in the Republic and Dark Times comics, Zao is blind, and has adapted his lightsaber into a walking stick
Tahl - a Jedi of the Republic era in the Jedi Apprentice chapter books, is blinded during a mission and has to figure out how to adapt to continue in her role as a Jedi
A longer list of blind individuals can be found here.
Other
Taria Damsin - a Jedi of the Clone Wars era in the novel Clone Wars: Gambit - Stealth has a terminal/degenerative illness. She is a close friend of Obi-Wan.
Yoda - uses a cane and sometimes a hoverchair for mobility
Quinlan Vos & Aayla Secura - Clone Wars era Jedi, both experienced memory loss due to being drugged on a mission gone wrong in the Republic comics. The Jedi extended efforts to make them feel comfortable again in their home despite not remembering it and helped them to regain what was possible of their memories.
Empatojayos Brand - a Jedi through the Clone Wars to the New Republic in the Dark Empire and Empire's End comics received extensive injuries in a fight with Vader and was fitted into a prosthetic body in the shape of a sphere of his own design which allowed him to take part in efforts to restore the Republic and Jedi Order.
Additionally, here is a list of characters with lost eyes, and Wookieepedia's general list of characters with disabilities. See also this work-in-progress list of disabled characters on the Star Wars Fic Reference Wiki!

Am feeling self indulgent rn so I’m making a post about the Individual!Jesses
June 24 update: I have no idea when this was made but I continued it and I just want this out of my drafts. Also I like the Jesses a lot.
Tumblr media
Putting this image here for reference
September is partially deaf after the formidi bomb incident
March is deaf from birth so she teaches September how to use sign language
The name they chose for Aiden is blaze rod symbol (using two pointers and make it an X letter) and a thumbs down
June, July, and August are dyslexic
June and July don’t prefer reading so they make do with whatever they have
I’m saying mostly on August since the two felt more comfortable letting August read for them
They rely on August, mostly, and the other Jesses to read for them
August can read a couple of words but mostly the shorter and simpler ones
He prefers to type out words rather than to write it with his hand
April has a weak arm in her left from the Formidi bomb she has taken arm therapy to strengthen it
Lukas dislocated his after being pushed off from Sky City so both him and April take arm therapy
It’s kind of awkward considering April is dating Aiden
“You having no hygiene makes me thankful that the water bill’s price isn’t high.” - April @ Aiden
October is blind
Not fully blind as in you can’t see nothing, but where certain parts of your eyes are blurry
June an May are in the autism spectrum
They send each other autism memes along with that autism creature
January, February, and April made an inside joke of “We don’t talk about bruno” but it’s Ivor
They made this and sent it to the individual jesses Group Chat (THEY HAVE A GC 😭)
Tumblr media
August wonders why he’s there
January, February, and April thought it was funny
May made an (old) Order of the Stone group chat (excluding magnus/ellegaard depending who died) and sent the image to them and left
No one knows how to respond
Except for Ivor he saved it and cackled
Ivor brings that image up every time the old Order of the stone mentions the past or had a backhanded comment about Ivor
Ivor thought August made it and complimented him for it
August liked being complimented so he took the credit
In the Jesses group chat, there would be constant memes and crush talks
Sometimes if one of the Jesses have the same crushes they would respect it and just perform a bigger bond on their crush
July, September, and October are around the Aromantic and/or Asexual spectrum
The closest to a crush for them is deep admiration
But not to where they want to date them romantically
April is the first person to pull a date, AKA Aiden, because her personality is more suave than the other Jesses
January is the last to pull (not counting the aroaces) but he never pulls
January never will
The Jesses are proud Petra and Lukas enthusiasts
Also this AU can be connected with the Choose Story AU
It’s just that I use May Jesse a lot more than the other ones but it still applies to them
February, March, and July are amputees
March is from birth while February and July got it form the wither explosion
Also July’s shirt thingie, I’d like to think he’s wearing a blue shirt with a transparent long sleeves. No one knows how that works or will look like but it will work somewhat
August and June love acting
When Romeo disguises himself as August or June, people just assumed they want to roleplay as an evil character
Until it became legit LMAOOO
May, November, and December can draw
December is confident in showing his artwork
While May is shy. Sometimes he’ll show it but either shitpost doodles or the ones he already finished that isn’t embarrassing
November is confident also and she displays them in her room when given a chance
September likes taking care of flowers and her own garden. She gives them to people daily
Those are the headcanons I have for now. Like I said, this was in my drafts for months so it’s better if I post it now and keep out the clutter. If any of y’all want to ask some things about them ahahaha ask box is open :D

do you have recs for disabled content creators? (especially on youtube!) it doesn't really matter to me if they make content related to the disability community or not, just want to follow some more people that are cool ✨
I sure do! Here are a few of my favorites:
Jessica Kellgren-Fozard - Jessica is probably my favorite youtuber of all time--she makes content related to deafness, disability, vintage fashion, queer history, and so many other cool and interesting things! She and her wife are also expecting a baby and have made some excellent videos pertaining to preparing for motherhood.
Molly Burke - Molly is a blind youtuber whose videos usually pertain to fashion, interior design, and travel, in addition to videos about her vision loss story and how she navigates the world as a blind woman. She and Jessica interviewed each other last week, which I had been hoping for for such a long time! It was really nice to see them collab.
Footless Jo - Jo posts about her experiences adjusting to life after becoming a below-knee amputee. Many of her videos document her journey to using prosthetics, managing chronic pain, mental health, and more. She seems like such a sweet, down-to-earth person and her videos give off the vibe of chatting with an old friend, which I love.
Andrew Huang - Andrew is a partially deaf musician! A lot of his music incorporates unconventional objects used as instruments, which I think is so cool and creative. He has also posted a few videos about his hearing loss and how it has affected the way he produces his music. (Fun fact: He’s also the creator of the notoriously catchy song Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing On Rainbows)
Hannah Witton - Hannah primarily produces excellent and inclusive sex ed content, but she also has a stoma and uses a colostomy bag due to colitis. I definitely recommend checking out the Disability, Sex, Relationships, & Dating Roundtable that she hosted, featuring other disabled creators.
Spencer West - Spencer makes content about how he does things without legs--from mundane daily tasks like getting ready in the morning, to climbing Mount Kilamanjaro. I found him through tiktok, but he’s also on youtube!
Tiffany Yu - Tiffany has a brachial plexus injury, which is the same disability I have! I had never encountered anyone else with a BPI until one of her videos popped up on my tiktok For You Page, so it was amazing to see that there are others out there! Like Spencer, I’m more familiar with her content on tiktok than on youtube, but it looks like she has some great content on her channel that I’m excited to check out.
Andro Robot Boi - Unfortunately I think this content creator is only on tiktok (username androbotboi), but they also have a brachial plexus injury and use a robotic device to move their arm. They’re also a musician and are working with various 3D printing engineers to develop an attachment for the device that can be used to hold a guitar pick.
These are all the people I can think of for now... If anyone else has any recs, please feel free to add them to the list!!
