polaris is math and order. hiss is organics and chaos. polaris is about the importance of the individual which comes with the progress. hiss is about the community above individual's will.
polaris didn't help dylan because she wanted jesse to succeed as an individual and not as part of faden family, because her nature is to be unique – and ultimately, alone. that's why hedron ended up being destroyed, darling sent to hell, dylan being abandoned – because polaris already has jesse, a single, most capable host who put herself into the most unique position – the director of federal bureau of control – by herself.

Sometimes I wonder if certain Titans fans are really mad that Dick Grayson left their corner of the universe for the Bats and his own titles in the 90s, or if they're actually mad that a lot of the New Teen Titans were never able to or given the chance to stand on their own like Dick has ever since.

I have a feeling I'm gonna regret opening this can of worms, but it's for research... Melee players in 2024, who would y'all consider the top tier from Smash's second roster? If I can get up to four answers (that aren't Bowser, if he's even close to top-tier), that'd be perfect.

People understand that post asking group A not to call group B something are not the place to demonstrate you're "one of the good ones" right?
And actually, by trying to show that you're really proving that you don't listen?
Like, y'all are very important and beautiful and significant individuals, but ain't noone giving a shit about how "actually I NEVER say those things" just shut up I'd say this ain't about you but you just spoke over me so I guess it is about you.

i just read an interview with vince gilligan where he said he got so sick of walt in the later seasons that he started saying things like “walt is such a bastard, he’s such a shit” on set, TO BRYAN CRANSTON but stopped because he didn’t want to influence his performance. which is like funny in and of itself… but the idea of bryan taking that as genuine direction and going in to shoot like “okay. i can do this. i am such a bastard I AM SUCH A SHIT” is probably even funnier
god that's so fucking funny, i know its like His Show and Obviously but i feel like vince has such a great understanding of his own characters and the way he like gets sick of them and loves them is so refreshingly sincere because he sees them as like fully formed individuals. so of fucking course he was sick of walt!! i love the idea of vince just offhandedly being like "god walt's such a dickhead" to bryan as if they're talking about a real-life coworker. and maybe bryan did take it as legitimate direction!! he was clearly aware of how much walt sucked and really leaned into it in s5. just imagine shooting the finale scene where walt dies in the meth lab and everyone on set clapping and cheering because that miserable fucker is finally dead

Hi! 🥰
Reading your tags you mentioned that Jess is the only one Rory let down her walls around, and that is the reason why him leaving affected her the most! This is soo true!! Logan knows her so little and he thinks he knows her but really he only knows the version of her that she presents to him because she feels he will not like the real her so she started changing herself for him, even after he mocked her interests she slowly stopped doing them. And it just breaks my heart for her. 😢 But I was going to touch more of why Jess leaving affected Rory the most. You said that was another conversation, and I would love to hear your thoughts on that! 🥰
Hi! Ahh yes exactly, Rory only presented the version of herself to Logan that she thought he would accept the most, but in the process hid parts of herself away that made her who she was.
But yes okay you got me started soo beware lol adding a cut cause this got a little long.
Jess and Rory's bond was the strongest out of all of her boyfriends.
With Dean, it was pure puppy love they jumped straight into a relationship. With Logan, it was flirting and physical attraction to a fling to a relationship. But with Jess, they were friends for quite a while before they started dating, which creates a deeper connection when transitioning into a romantic relationship.
Then when they were dating, it was full of passion and love and a beautifully casual intimacy. They loved each other for who they were and encouraged each other to be the best versions of themselves they could be, even before they were together! They were always wrapped around each other, always touching even in the most innocent ways. We didn't get to see them, but they had frequent movie date nights. They talked casually about their future ("22.8 miles." "you looked it up."). They were interested in the same things (books, music, each other lol). This was all stuff that I don't really see present in Rory's other relationships - I mean, Dean tried to break up when Rory was planning on going to Harvard and literally looked pained when Rory went book shopping, and Logan was less about being soft and intimate and more about sex and they didn't share the same goals for their future and they started the relationship with him being an ass and almost like trying to win her.
Then everything kind of explodes. And all that love and passion and connection that was present in their relationship was also present in the breakup. And what makes it even worse? Is that there never really was an actual breakup. Zero communication, zero closure. I don't wish that kind of breakup (platonic or romantic) on anyone. It hurts. It hurts Rory so much that Jess is the only one she doesn't get back together with. The only one she doesn't fully admit to loving. Because it hurts so bad when he leaves, that she can't let herself risk that pain again.
