penguin snoopy has stayed on my mind ever since that first doodle, so consider: 2023 winter classic pens snoopy…

i wanted it to look more like a legit comic strip illustration this time, so i did the lineart traditionally with a fineliner pen, then tried to mostly limit myself to layering actual risograph print colours in CSP!

this is the least amount of money ive ever had available for christmas gifts and im so so glad my parents decided this year would be a low-key christmas w just the three of us facetiming my brother so i didn't have to awkwardly not have gifts for the family friends & extended relatives, but like. only having one small thing for each parent + art for my brother and a couple friends feels like an embarrassing low point. (plus the dried flowers i got w my farmers market ebt coins for ash as a host gift the other night)

next year when i have a proper paycheck im going to make it up to them and hope this is the last time i ever have to show up this empty handed

my friends took me to build a bear for the first time since i was a kid (i know, i've been long overdue for another visit ngl!!) and it was soo much fun!!

Also here is an interview snippet which I thought was interesting. I've never thought much about what his creative process might have been like. Also, I didn't realise that the panels he drew on were so much larger than what ended up in print. I mean, it makes sense, but I guess I always just assumed he drew up the squares exactly the way they looked in the end.
