Alright I was thinking about this a lot today. One shot from Andrew W.K.’s Babalon music video. Linking below because it’s a great song and beautiful music video, directing on it was amazing clearly.

I need to talk abt this as I’m fighting sleep. So I had started this Castlevania show recently and it’s abt vampires so I was expecting some heart scenes and all and just…
This here is perfect. Dracula tearing someone’s heart out then letting it slip from his hand. There’s another scene with him I can’t find a screen capture of where I think he tears out a vampire’s heart? I’m assuming it’s supposed to be a heart, and then he crushes it in his hand. Then there’s another scene where he’s speaking with another vampire and threatens to “bite out his heart” Clearly I’m enjoying this show.

So I finally decided to listen to the latest BMTH album (I’m very late) and this is probably my fav song on it. But the heart lyric had me remembering what was my favoriteeee BMTH song when I was like 13 lol. Amazing song for cardiophiles, especially with the flatline put into it. Just showcasing the best lyrics here

Ok, I used to listen to this band quite a bit a couple years ago and I remember trying to find them on streaming services at some point but never finding anything. And every once in a while I’d search without finding anything. Well a couple weeks ago I did my occasional search and found they’re on Spotify?? I never bothered to search into this but apparently they had been taken down after one of the members was unfairly claiming profit. Anywayssss I was wanting to talk about this text bio from Spotify because of the highlighted part:)
Not wrong at all. When I get really into a song I have a significant physical reaction listening to it, and Model of the Year is the one my brain has decided to take a big liking to, I’ll have that on repeat for a while. When I used to listen to them though, I actually thought the little grenade on the album cover was supposed to be a heart, and in defense of younger me I could only access the music from a YouTube reupload and the video quality was terrible, I saw a blurry pink blob and rolled with it lol. Real shame all they ever released was the one EP, I need to find more bands with their style.

Haha not me Meg & Dia posting again, though the first time was on my other account shortly before creating this one. I forgot a music video to this song existed, so I had to check it out tonight and then it just throws random heart scenes at me, which I compiled myself at the bottom and realized out of context it looks weird as hell. I think you should check out the full MV but to add a tldr: the camera is an ai that goes rogue
But yeah seeing the random heart rate readings pop up with the audio had the cardiophile in me perk up a bit and make me wanna share. So so so many more examples I wanna talk abt of this in music videos, one day

I love how I made this side blog to yap then proceeded to go radio silent. I swear I’ve got a million things in my head I just haven’t went to type anything out. But tonight I feel like throwing a bunch of stuff out. And here I’m just talking about a personal interest lol
Out of all my music posting I don’t think I’ve talked about Sleep Token at all? But I love them to death. And this clip just has the cardiophile in my brain going wild. Even though it’s a little sloppy, Vessel draws a heart on his chest, stomach, whatever lol.
And I know other cardiophiles have their personal small details that they love deeply, like some ppl really love visible neck pulses, stuff like that. Personally I fucking love breath sounds/seeing someone’s chest rise and fall when the breathe, especially heavier breathing. And I’ve made posts on my other account of clips showcasing this with ghost, seeing the ghouls breathing hard during a show and all. But god I bet with Vessel you can really see something like this especially since he’s always shirtless and stuff. Now even better I could just imagine being close to him, if he was standing still or something (which he never does lol) and the lighting was right, just seeing his heart pounding in his chest during a show. But uhhh yeah I think that’s it. I might post again tonight just rambling

This is something small I’ve wanted to discuss for a while now. There’s a lot of cardiophiles on here who write stories and stuff but I’ll say, there are a lot of fantasy elements that I think would work so well with cardiophilia.
Vampires are probably the first thing coming to mind. I don’t know a lot about vampires in popular media but I know with all the different adaptions people make for them, they’ve included a few details regarding hearts. Some note that vampires have no heartbeat since the body is dead, or they have a very faint/weak one. There’s a lot that can be done with that idea. Since vampires are popular in romance specifically, just imagine a relationship between a human and a vampire, but the person does not know their partner is a vampire until they put their head to their chest and hear nothing at all. Another popular detail people include for vampires is that they can detect heartbeats from long distances. That would make one hell of a chase scene.
Ghosts are something else that sounds appealing. Since they can phase through objects and people, they could slip their hand inside someone’s chest with ease, cradling someone’s heart in their hand. My favorite part of this would be how people claim they can detect a ghost’s presence by feeling an unusual change in temperature somewhere. Someone could feel a strange chill in their chest they can’t explain, oblivious to the apparition beside them.
But I have a personal favorite honestly: sea monsters, like a fish-human hybrid or something? I don’t know. In my imagination, this creature would have some features that a shark has. Sharks have sensory organs that can detect electrical impulses of other creatures from a distance. So, sharks can hear your heartbeat when you’re in the water. Terrifying. Like the idea with vampires, this would be something good for a chase scene.
I’ve just been thinking about this stuff for a while. With all the stories I see here, it’s mostly dark cardiophilia involving scientists, medical experiments, that sort of stuff. A lot of those seem fairly grounded in reality for the most part, but I wish there was more fantasy like this. I think these ideas are kind of under appreciated
