I remember the days of having the flip key-board phones or the ones that swiveled and eventually they’d break either by snapping off and hanging by a wire or jamming and never being able to flip/slide fully open again, so you’d just see some teens with phones half falling apart but still working if they moved it a certain way. That would be cool to see represented.

something I’ve seen in various fandoms now is young artists will draw flip phones with cracked screens. But in my experience, I have never met someone whose flip phone had a screen crack. Those screens were more like something on a calculator or a nintendo ds than like a smartphone. I was a klutz, and my first phone broke because the front half and back half came apart. Like you’d mayyyyybe see it on some of the later flip phones that only had large screens on the front because smartphones had already made them popular, but it was still way more rare.

If you wanna give a character a flip phone and show they’re clumsy, they’re more likely to have the paint scratched like hell or parts of the plastic chipped off. No more phone charms because the plastic loop broke. If the screen is broken, it would sooner not turn on anymore before the screen would have a crack in it.

Jesus christ. I genuinely don’t have anything else to say. SOLID 9.4/10, only lost points because of how fucking slow the burn was (xD).

This has 350,000 words. yes I read it in three afternoons. It was worth it. Yes I finished my last class at 3:45 and read it nonstop until around 10:45. No regrets!

now that the ithaca saga is out i'd like to just put it out there that, in the original text, after they reunite odysseus and penelope immediately run off to fuck - obviously (20 years at sea away from your wife call that the wettest dry spell mankind's ever seen). BUT while they're getting all hot and heavy, athena decides to put her owl motif to good use and wingman for odysseus by quite literally holding off the dawn until they're fully satisfied (od. 23.345-248). which is just. what a way to end off one of the greatest pieces of storytelling in human history
