ANYWAY in my perfect world, garth doesn't pass on the aqualad name to jackson because 1. aqualad isn't a symbol stop making them batfam dc are you listening to me dc do you he- and 2. while garth is fond of the name, he also thinks it's embarrassing because of his trauma SO instead jackson should be the one to Ask for the name.
jackson, who looks up to arthur and garth, and really, really doesn't want to be associated with black manta, makes the decision to ask for the name aqualad, because to him it's a symbol of Good. garth, who hates when people look down on him because of his past as aqualad, should be like "are you fucking serious right now". and while i still think jackson should have a Different hero name, if they're really stuck on aqualad, then garth can agree. this helps jackson feel like he truly belongs, that they trust him, that he's not like his father, etc. and it helps affirm to garth that his existence as aqualad actually meant something and he wasn't just aquaman's lame sidekick.
after that obviously garth should become a mentor figure to jackson. Not a second dad or even an older brother figure, though i am slightly more agreeable to the latter, but a mentor who helps him and is There for him. even if garth didn't care about jackson in the slightest, you can't convince me that he would just ignore this kid.

Garth came out to the balcony and found Claire there, shoes beside her, dangling her feet over the three story drop. She had squashed her dress by sitting on it.
"Hey," she said.
"What's up?" asked Garth.
"Do you care?" she asked.
"Not really, just being polite," said Garth. He sat down beside her, uninvited. His tie was quite loose, so he undid it entirely, stuffing it in his pocket.
"Mother is very interested in having me find a husband," said Claire. "Or at least a boyfriend. And all I want to do is focus on my art. I have talent, why can't she see that?"
"Hrm," said Garth. "It's the opposite problem with my mother. She wants me to stay away from girls, because apparently I keep picking the wrong ones."
"You do have a reputation as a playboy," said Claire. She looked him over. "Earned, I think."
"Well, be that as it may, I don't think it's mother's place to say," said Garth.
They sat together for a moment, looking out at the night air and the slowly moving river that wound its way through the city. Garth had only intended to come out on the balcony to cool down for a bit, but he had the sense that Claire might be spending the whole night here.
"Say, I have an idea," said Garth.
"Oh?" asked Claire.
"Your mother wants you to spend all this time trying to chase boys, and my mother wants me to get with a respectable girl," said Garth. "So why don't we simply agree to a fake relationship? We would have to put some effort into it, just to sell it, because all our friends and family know we don't really have much affection for each other, and over the course of several fake dates, we could slowly fall in love with each other. But of course neither of us could admit that to the other, so we would use the fake dating story as a flimsy pretense to spend more time together, or to kiss each other, and we would say 'oh, but of course this is just for the cover story, people need to see us kiss, they need to believe that it's not all an act'. And as we pulled away from kissing each other, we would realize that it's not as much of an act as we had once believed. And then before we could confess to each other, I would say something boorish about your art, as though I don't understand what it means to you and expect you to change like all the men you've had no interest in. I would learn my lesson, of course, but before I could apologize you would come across me kissing another woman and misunderstand it, because it was only her trying to rekindle some old relationship that had long since passed. You'd run off before I could explain anything to you. Then when it seemed like you were going off to art school or making a hasty marriage of convenience, I would come in with a grand gesture and confess my love to you."
Claire stared at him. "Why are you so incredibly weird?"
"It was only a joke," said Garth.
"I didn't find it particularly funny," said Claire.
"Well, of course, to begin with we'd dislike each other, wouldn't we?" asked Garth. "So I think we're off to a roaring start."
"It's not a terrible idea, a false front for our mothers," said Claire. "Then an amicable breaking off after six months or so, when we've had our breathing room."
"Narratively, I think it could work, the end of the second act would be at the six month mark, when the fake breakup becomes a real breakup, and then I have to win you back," mused Garth.
"I'm being serious," said Claire, rolling her eyes. "Alright, this will be my one condition: you need to stop joking that it will lead to us falling in love with one another."
"Alas," said Garth. "My one condition was going to be that we joke about it constantly. Don't you think that it would add something to the whole arrangement, if we laid together cuddling beneath a willow tree and you said, 'haha, can you imagine if I was fool enough to fall in love with you just because my head is pressed against your chest and I can hear the hammering of your heart'?"
"So this wasn't a serious proposition disguised as a joke?" asked Claire. "It was just a joke?"
"Well, unfortunately, I'm already in love with you," said Garth. "So it's a desire for your affections disguised as a ploy to fool our mothers which has been cloaked in a joke."
"You're impossible," said Claire. She gave a small laugh. "That's it, I'm calling the fake relationship off."
"But we have to save that for the second act!" said Garth.
"No, I won't be swayed, it seemed like such a good idea several minutes ago, but now, in the cold light of the present, I can see that you're simply too immature," said Claire.
"I had wanted more time to plan my grand gesture," said Garth. "We were supposed to have a lot of plot beats where I showed you how gentle and caring I am, and revealed my hidden depths."
"It's now or never," said Claire. "I need that grand gesture to know that I wasn't a fool for falling for you."
"Alright," said Garth. He cleared his throat. "Claire, when I sat down here minutes ago and proposed that we have a fake relationship which would slowly blossom into a real one, I was just making a joke. But now that time has passed, all these fond seconds together, the joke has turned into a reality."
"It has?" asked Claire.
"Yes," said Garth. "Will you fake date me?"
Claire held in a smile. "Yes. Sure. But if we can drop the layers of irony for a moment, I do want to make it clear that I'm not charmed by you, and certainly won't fall in love with you."
"And why layer of irony was that said on?" asked Garth.
"Oh, well if you can't tell, then I'm not going to tell you," said Claire with a smile.
Garth smiled back. "You are going to be so angry with me when I reveal that this fake dating scheme was something I only did for a bet."

Can i request the continuation of jason todd and dick grayson yandere ask? Maybe add in smut aswell. (Don't force yourself!, Take a good care of yourself 💗)

Yandere Jason Todd x speedster male reader x Yandere Dick Grayson
Part 2
Headcanons
Tumblr media
Imagine sitting in a spinny chair petting a cat like a bond villain. I have wanted to write a part two for this for a while. Instead of reader just dating his og universes version of them, what if reader was dating multiple people 👀? Cuz you cant imagine the kid of Thawne being a nice person.
Ill refer to readers original universe as OG verse, and the yandere universe as yan verse cuz its easier to understand.
Part 1 can be found here
In part 1 yan Dick and Jason has pretty much abandoned their former dimension in smithereens after having wiped out the entire justice league, as they tried to stop them from crossing dimensions and tearing a hole in reality itself to find you.
So, when Yan Dick and Jason appear in your OG dimension, different procedures set up by the league notify them about the tear in reality and how unstable it is. They’d rush there and find two bloody and battered versions of Dick and Jason, and thinking they fled some battle or a doomed timeline, they bring them to the tower.
When Jason and Dick wake up, they immediately fall back on the many tricks they had been taught under their batman, who was apparently even better at lying than OG batman, as they believe them when they claim their home dimension was destroyed and they have nowhere to go.
It takes a while to work Yan Dick and Jason into the league and their hero roster, but they never suspect them of being anything less than heroes and stable. They start calling them Rick and Jay since it gets confusing with multiple people named the same thing.
They don’t drop hints that they know you, but they do try to figure out where you are and what you are doing at all times, but its harder than they thought it would be. Who would have thought trying to track a guy that can cross dimensions and time at will would be so difficult.
Rick almost bursts a blood vessel when he hears some of the younger OG league members talking about how “Mach 10 has been dating multiple people at once”, and Jay wants to curl up into a ball and disappear and tear himself apart.
Their obsession finally starts showing through the cracks as they use league resources to find you and stalk you. More and more cracks appear in their masks and fake personalities, as they see you going on dates with other people.
Jericho, Jamie Reyes, Roy Harper, Garth, Kyle Rayner, the list went on. You seemed to be dating multiple people at once, at the same time, as you used your powers to be in multiple places at once.
You weren’t a good person, so you hadn’t even felt bad when Jamie had cried finding out you were cheating on him with multiple people, you just shrugged and asked him what he had expected from Thawnes offspring.
It was common knowledge amongst the younger league members that you were down to a roll in the sheets with most, but there wasn’t a loyal bone in your body, and you could easily turn on whoever you were dating at the time if it was part of a plan.
Of course. Rick and Jay never saw you as the problem. How could you be? You were perfect, you were everything that mattered in the multiverse, and you could do no wrong. It had to be your partners that were the issue, they had to be neglecting your needs and leaving you having to resort to finding different ways to meet them.
OG justice league knew Rick and Jay had some issues, but they had always blamed it on coming from a dimension that had been destroyed by some unknown evil. But as time passed, they started to think that maybe the backstory they had been given wasn’t true.
It came to a head when one day Rick almost gutted Roy after he and Jay had followed you around Coast city, where you had met up with Roy and the two of you had gone on a date, ending with you two back in Roy’s apartment.
Rick and Jay were both cracking as they saw others put their grubby disgusting hands all over you and just doing whatever they wanted. Whenever they heard others insult you, they felt like repeating what they had done in their original universe.
After Rick attacked Roy, he was placed on probation. Jay was more subtle about his plans, as he wasn’t as blinded by rage as Rick and was more fueled by not feeling like he was good enough and blaming himself.
People didn’t even put two and two together for a while when your non league admirers started going missing, only to be found much later dead in many different ways. There was no way to tie the murders together, but it was clear there was a pattern, but no one could figure out what it was.
The league finally discovered just what type of people Jay and Rick were when you one day wandered into the tower. Maybe the league needed your help with something involving the speedforce, or the negative speedforce.
But the moment the two yanderes saw you, it was like they became completely different people, the masks they had been wearing for months shattered as they almost stumbled over each other to get to you first.
You just saw in your seat grinning to yourself as they clambered into your lap, vile threats of what he could do to anyone who touched to passing Ricks lips, as Jay warbled out apologies and begs for you to love him and appreciate him.
The league wasn’t sure what to do, but their suspicions only grew. It got to the point where they somehow track down the dimension the Yans originally come from, to see what really happened. Imagine their horror when they learn Rick and Jay killed all of them out of obsession fueled love for you.
But when they finally figured out the truth, Rick and Jay fully dropped their roles and started chasing you around like lovesick puppies again, butchering anyone who got in their way.
The league could lock them up, but they had also seen what happened when they were separated from you, and as long as they were around you and an had no reason to lash out, they seemed fine for the most part.
You had moments where you would peace out to different dimensions, especially when Rick and Jay started foiling all your attempts to mess around with other people, Rick always exploding in rage and Jay breaking down in tears and wails of misery.
Again, you were never a good person, and they annoyed you sometimes, but it was kinda cute to have them begging for scraps of your attention even as the league tried again and again to capture them and lock them away.
Rick and Jay never find a way to lock you away, you are just too powerful. But they at some point stumble across ways to make themselves stronger so they can keep up. Like making themselves speedsters, or developing gear to follow and track you, they come up with something.
But you learn an easy way to distract them is by piling attention on them for a while, get them comfortable, then you can peace out when they get on your nerves.
Jay is always easier to trick than Rick, as Jay is always aching for any tiny piece of attention and love youll give him, his knees always buckling when you kiss him or hold him, words almost akin to worship always tumbling out from between his lips towards you.
Rick is harder to trick, as hes always suspicious and angry, but an easy way is to dominate him in some way, like tying him up and then leaving him there, leaving him to get out on his own, or get help from Jay if he needs it.
All in all, the league is scared and cautious, but knows they wont be an active threat to the league as long as they have you. And your relationship with your yanderes is nowhere near healthy, with you only loving them like someone would love a pet or a toy, and them loving you way too much.
But what can someone expect from the offspring of Thawne, and two extremely unstable Bats.

So, I watched that response stream that DeadwingDork made about my furry boinking video, here it is if you're curious.
youtube
By some accounts, this gentleman seems like he means well, with regards to pronouns he pulls the "when in doubt, they/them" gambit, which is partway there. If he finds this, I'll politely let him know I don't use they, just she & it. Thanks!
I have good reason to believe he began this journey in good faith, but over the course of the video he slowly gives up being charitable, and it's very frustrating to watch. There's a few key moments of miscommunication I noticed that I'd like to clear up.
DeadwingDork and I got off on the wrong foot very early on, and part of that's my fault. I start the video openly lusting after Garth Alphandomega, and this put him on edge. This might be an ideological difference we can't get past, he says that Garth is "Just a wolf" when I personally think he's quite different from a wolf. After that, I do the joke where I say "If the opportunity presented itself I would fuck my-" and cut to The Flowers of Robert Mapplethorpe, but he didn't have the context to understand what I'm saying by cutting to that album in particular, so he thought I was jokingly saying I would fuck my dog. He spends the rest of the stream with that initial impression of me lusting after what he perceives as literal animals, it's kinda the initial rock that starts the avalanche and closes him off from understanding basically anything that I'm saying, until the end, where he's convinced I've just spent 43 minutes coming out as a zoophile.
This might just be a difference in artistic philosophy, like he interprets Alpha & Omega to be about wolves whereas I interpret it as being about people through the aesthetic lens of wolves. Metaphor isn't just for abstract art movies, after all. Garth walks on 4 legs, but he has enough obvious persistent human-like traits both visually and behaviorally for me to understand him as a person delivered via wolf. For the same reason, he is disturbed by my lusting for Shoukichi Pompoko, because he interprets that movie as literally being about tanuki. I think this the main reason the concept of a character being "simultaneously human and inhuman" completely whiffed on him. He skimmed over my segment on how Leo can be both a wolf and hispanic & didn't understand the relevance, because I don't think that contradiction can be resolved in his head.
The most frustrating part of this stream is the way he clearly picks up on a lot of the overarching subtext that I'm putting down, but by that point in the video he doesn't have enough faith in me to interpret it as being put there intentionally. He treats the connection between my special-ed dog training and my current animal identity as an unintentional self-report, when it isn't. There's this *maddening* segment where I talk about Pom Poko for the first time, and he... honestly quite accurately picks apart the picture I'm illustrating about alienation, but he handwaves it away in favor of his horrible mangling of the exact literal sentence I am saying at that moment.
He says:
"There's clearly a story here, but it's being buried. There's a lot of stuff that's leading towards... 'oh, you watched this movie and this movie and your parents did this and your fuckin' teachers did this, and that's why this is happening.' That's like the fuckin' undertones of this video, [but] the main takeaway is supposed to be that this movie... I dunno, makes you f.. is supposed to feel like how fuckin' animal people feel like they're... whatever, I don't, I don't... whatever."
He grabs at the subtext, the story I'm obviously telling with the surface level anecdote of my experience seeing Pom Poko when I was young. I say obviously, because he and his chat both understood it. But then he discards that, assumes it was unintended, and importantly, he doesn't have a good answer for what I'm actually saying divorced from that. Because... what's even left after you remove the subtextual story I'm telling with this anecdote? The anecdote itself? Of course he's empty handed.
Other notes:
He can't decide whether I'm an over zealous recruiter trying to call everything furry, or that I'm a gatekeeper trying to force robust definitions of 'furry' into the general lexicon. This isn't very important, it's just kind of funny.
He is dismissive of me saying I won't report news if my only source is Kiwifarms, but he doesn't really give a good reason for it. I am having trouble summarizing his argument for why I should have referenced a website whose users doxxed me. He hilariously suggests that I should negotiate with them to have my address taken down, as long as I'm not a "lolcow" about it. I'll be charitable and say that I don't think he's thought this through very much.
He hates that I "compare autistic people to animals," when that really just doesn't mean anything on its own. A comparison is a comparison, a follower of mine pointed out to me they could say that trans people are like cockroaches & it could either mean they are doggedly resilient in the face of harsh circumstances or that they are pests that need to be exterminated. I meant something specific by using an animal metaphor to describe my autistic identity, and it transcends the literal reading of "calling autistic people animals."
He derisively calls Echo a "gay furry sex game" when it simply is not. I'll forgive him for this because he hasn't played it, but Echo isn't porn, it's a horror game. There's sex in it, and it has the framework of a dating game, but it is far from the main appeal. I'm not saying this to elevate Echo above the degrading label of "porn," because Adastra is definitely porn and it's almost as good, just not as easily recommendable to outsiders.
He thinks its commendable that Sean Booth bought my album, which is nice.
Overall, I don't think DeadwingDork is outwardly hateful, but he is quite gullible. He accepts hate speech at face value and buys into narratives useful for hate movements. There's echos of trans groomer panic, that old "you're the reason people are transphobic" chestnut, and of course, using Kiwifarms as a news source. He said he came into the video knowing nothing about me and had no reason to be approaching me in bad faith, but he clearly doesn't trust me enough to think the main rhetorical thrust of the video was intentional.
bad stream lol

@diverse-hearts-ocs asked: He'd told her not to run off too far. He didn't like being in a crowd like this as it was, but had thought coming to the capital would be the quickest way of finding the woman that the little girl had been searching for...then again there was no telling if her sister was even here. It was difficult to understand the child's story, though he could sense that she wasn't lying...or at the very least she believed what she'd told him. Another world though? Sighing, he glanced around once more, trying to resist the urge to pull his cloak tighter around himself. Where the heck had she got to? "Ah, sorry", he gasped as he'd knocked into the side of a young lady, only to freeze as crimson eyes drifted to her face. This could not just be a coincidence, could it? "...are...are you Miran by chance?" (From Garth! I'll have him having found Strelitzia so she wouldn't be dead in five seconds flat lol)

Of course clumsy her would run straight into people once again. By now she came to wonder if she either had become too careless or if the crowd of the people simply had became too much to her by now. At least, she didn't find herself on the ground - it was already something. Miran bent her upper body slightly forward in order to apologize, but her words were stuck in her throat when she heard her name. So she instead cocked her head to the side, trying to figure out if she had ever met this person right in front of her. But she mostly spent her days in the cottage she currently lifed in, which was rather far away from this city.
Tumblr media
"...and you might be?", she asked with gentle voice, a soft smile forming on her lip in order to not show how quite nervous it actually made her that somebody seemed to know about her, while she didn't know them at all. This never had been something too well within this world and she wanted to avoid getting kidnapped and held in somewhere once more.
"My apologies, but it seems I cannot quite remember who you are. Did we meet before?"

Part 3

Sam led a tour of the Bunker for Gene and Y/N, with Dean quietly following in the rear. Sam spoke proudly and confidently as he showed off various rooms throughout the Bunker.
It started in the kitchen after a meal. Sam took them down the hall and explained things to them. After touring basic rooms like the bathroom and some storerooms, Sam showed off the Infirmary and the War Room and ended in the Library. Gene hung on his every word as he talked about the Men of Letters, hunting, and the brothers’ legacy, excited and with stars in her eyes.
Y/N, however, followed quietly but attentively, her arms wrapped around herself for comfort. She only understood half of Sam's words, and the half she did understand sounded insane. Dean kept his eye on her as Sam postured for Gene. He hated her discomfort, but she needed to know about their lives if there was any chance of them being together; and he wanted to see her honest, real-time reaction to it all.
While she showed interest in some topics and items, she seemed confused or scared about others. Sam and Gene were focused on each other, settling in at a library table to start researching and find out who had done this. It was almost like they forgot Y/N was there.
She jumped when Dean touched her arm to get her attention, almost like she forgot he was there.
“You alright?” Dean asked quietly.
She nodded, hugging herself again, her eyes on the ground.
“S’lot to take in,” she mumbled, finally meeting his eyes. “Can’t believe this is your life,” she added with wide eyes.
“I’m sorry you got pulled into this. I would never want this life for you. For anyone.”
She glanced at the others with a small smile, their chemistry and joviality warming her, even if she felt slightly jealous over how easy it seemed for them. She looked back at Dean, the smile fading as she sobered.
“Should we help?” she asked, gesturing to the others.
Dean nodded and joined her, guiding her to a seat. After explaining what they were looking for, he gave her a laptop, and she began researching with the others.
After several hours and a few drinks, they weren’t closer to finding out who did this. Sam did find spells for a demonic and angelic perimeter that would alert them if either entity crossed the invisible line they’d set out. As Sam and Gene ran off to one of the storerooms to gather items to complete the spell, Dean took a long breath and polished off his drink.
“I’m sorry,” Y/N said, breaking the comfortable silence they found themselves in.
“What the hell do you have to be sorry about?”
The deep growl in his tone should have scared her, but the confusion on his face made her chuckle lightly.
“Gene is a hunter. She knows this world,” Y/N shook her head and then laughed, confusing Dean further. “I’m just an officer manager who taught guitar part-time at a rec center. I’m no good for you.”
Now, Dean was perplexed, surprised, and caught off guard. He thought it refreshing that she had a regular job, and he suddenly wanted to know everything an office manager did, as if it were his dream job. He tried not to get overly excited that she could play and teach guitar. Maybe she would play for him? Maybe she could teach him, and it could be something they could do together.
But he was stuck on her last words: I’m no good for you.
Here she was, charming and beautiful, handling everything gracefully, and she thought she wasn’t good enough for him. He was an unemployed, alcoholic hunter. A killer that lived on the outside of society and had nothing to offer her. And she thought she was the problem?
“You’re not the problem, Sweetheart. I am. You’re sweet and good, and you’ve been through awful things and lost everything because of me. Because of who I am and what I do. I hurt you. You should get as far from me as possible.”
His words hurt her deeply. She couldn’t stand how little he seemed to think of himself. She shook her head and, taking a chance, moved to the seat next to him and took one of his hands between hers.
“From what I’ve learned, it sounds like you’re a hero who saves lives. And a hero deserves someone to love them, Dean. Someone to care for them. Someone to fight for and come home to.” She turned his hand in hers, interlocking their fingers with a small smile. “I just wish I could be more for you. A hunter or someone who wouldn’t make your life harder. Someone you deserve.”
Dean’s heart beat rapidly, her words settling deep inside of him. Here they were, two soulmates who found each other in impossible circumstances, neither thinking they were good enough for the other. He thought she was beautiful and perfect and too good and pure. He would inevitably taint her with his darkness, but in her presence, he felt light. He couldn’t tolerate her thinking she was anything less than perfect to him.
He slowly raised his free hand to cup her cheek, his thumb grazing across her cheekbone before he leaned in and gently pressed his lips onto hers.
Her eyes fluttered shut as their lips pressed together in a gentle kiss, and her body swayed slightly closer to him. Her hands found his chest, and she gasped into the kiss. She deepened the kiss, her tongue tentatively peeking out to graze in a ghostly touch against his pillowy lower lip.
He hummed as she kissed him back, the hairs on the back of his neck standing on end as heat rushed through him. Their first kiss was rushed, forced in the heat of the moment, and there was no time to process or cherish it. Now, though, it was slow, with no urgency pushing them beyond the languid pace with which they explored and connected. It left no room for anything except the connection, swelling, and growing between them.
As the kiss grew a little more hungry, Dean stood, pulling her from her chair and lifting her to sit on the table's edge. She squealed and grinned, making Dean smile before he cupped her face in both hands and kissed her harder. She moaned, spreading her legs a little to pull him closer, her arms wrapped around him, holding on tight as he made her head spin with the fever and passion of his kisses.
His arms snaked down her sides, one traveling around to hold her lower back as he pulled the two of them closer together, enveloping her as his tongue stroked across her swollen lips.
She moaned, pressing herself tighter against his warm and firm body. Her hands slid up to his shoulders, one continuing to the back of his neck as she held him to her, desperate and hungry for him. She felt frantic and calm all at once, and suddenly, there was nothing but Dean. Kissing Dean. Wanting Dean. Loving Dean.
Wait, loving?
Dean slowly pulled back from this kiss, resting his forehead on hers as he gazed into her eyes again. A smile tugged on his lips as he sighed, slowly closing his eyes and opening them again. “I just want to be with you,” he said softly.
She nodded in agreement, her fingers curled into the shoulders of his shirt. " I want to be near you,” she said, shuddering. “I feel intense,” she admitted, her brain filter seemingly shutting down.
“Not just me then,” he smiled, his heart swelling at the feeling of her fingers through his shirt. “C’mere.”
He pulled her down from the table and retook his chair, bringing her down to sit across his lap. One of his arms snaked around her back, the other across her waist as he held her to him.
“It won’t be like this forever, stuck in the bunker situation. I’ll have to go back out there and fight, but I promise I’ll return to you. Then after that...S’just the four of us.”
She lowered her gaze to her lap, a bit of seriousness coming over her, “From what Sam told us, I don’t think you can promise that.” She forced herself to meet his eyes, her sorrow and worry at the statement evident.
Dean was quiet for a moment; she had him there. “...There is another way,” he said, his expression not exactly thrilled, “Sam said we could...train you and Gene up, maybe. That way, we can stick together out there.”
Her eyes roamed over his face delicately before meeting his eyes again, “What do you want?”
“I…I want to protect and keep you safe,” he said before frowning. “But leaving you both here like sitting ducks or taking you out into the field sounds crazy to me.”
“So, then, why don’t you stay? Is that an option?”
“Well, we have no choice but to do that for a while now,” he chuckled softly, one of his hands squeezing her side as he smiled, “But...we can’t stay locked up in the Bunker forever...Sam was talking about taking Gene out for dinner and...we should be able to do things like that. So something will have to give eventually.”
She lifted her hand, running her fingers through his hair and down his neck with a soft smile, “Then train me so I can be by your side,” she shrugged.
Dean looked back up at her, seeing the determination in her eyes. He couldn’t help but smirk. “You sure? It’s no picnic.”
“I don’t like it, but it’s your life. I don’t want to sit around here wondering if you’re okay or not out there. I wanna be there to help ensure you always come home.”
Dean’s smile grew, his hand reaching up to graze her cheek as he shifted his body to meet her. “I’ll make sure we get through this,” he said gently, his lips ghosting hers.

It was the middle of the night, but Sam knew it couldn’t wait. He rushed through the halls, knocking briefly on Dean’s door before letting himself in, closing it behind him, “Dean, get up.” Sam said in an urgent tone, shaking Dean’s sleeping body.
Dean jolted with a start, instinctively shoving Sam back, and he bolted upright in the bed. Blinking fast, he caught his breath before frowning at Sam irritably, “Sam, what the fuck?”
“Got a call from Garth,” he hurriedly explained. “Two other hunters were attacked by angels looking for us and the girls.”
“Yeah, no doubt planning an ambush,” Dean shrugged, “With Cas against us, it’s probably no secret to Heaven where the Bunker is.”
“Yeah, and the perimeter on the edge of town went off.”
Dean grunted, sitting on the edge of the bed and rubbing his eyes to force himself awake. It wasn’t the first time he had to wake up and work, but it wasn’t getting any easier.
“But they can’t get in. I figured we could try to get the jump on them, catch ‘em off guard before they get even closer. With the girls' help-”
“No, no, no, no,” Dean quickly interrupted, pointing a finger at Sam in warning. “Not happening.”
“Dean,” Sam protested, leaning against the desk with crossed arms. “This is an all-hands-on-deck situation. And you know they’re not just gonna hang back. If we leave them here, who’s to say they won’t go out alone anyway?”
“Of course, they wouldn’t,” Dean said quickly before frowning with doubt. “Fuck sake…” he ran a hand through his hair before sighing in exasperation. “B-but it’s crazy. Gene might be able to do something, but Y/N…”
“So we’re just supposed to wait for the Angels to arrive at our door?!” Sam protested. “If we go alone, that leaves the girls here. They could be safe, but with the bonds, they’d feel our anxiety and pain...they wouldn’t stay put for long. I mean...would you?”
Dean glared at Sam, insinuating that the question wasn’t fair. He groaned in defeat. Sam was quiet for a moment as he chewed his lip in thought. When he looked into Dean’s eyes again, Dean could see a hint of guilt and mischief in them.
“Well…” he began, letting out a long breath. “It is the middle of the night. They’re sound asleep, and the Angels are just outside town…”
Dean raised an eyebrow, looking back at Sam, “You serious? Sneak off and leave them?”
“I don’t like it,” Sam defended. “I don’t like any of this. But I especially don’t like sitting around like ducks waiting to be picked off either.”
Dean sat in silence, thinking. The conflict playing on his heart was unbearable. Of course, he wanted to gank the Angels, and it’s one step closer to a... everyday life...potentially...maybe. That train of thought was for another time. But if he left now, anything could happen here without him knowing.
He clenched his hand into a tight fist. He was the one who’d said something would have to give. This might be something. He couldn’t sit here and do nothing or regret it forever.
“Let’s go,” Dean said lowly, shifting from the bed to his feet.
Sam sighed, nodding. " The car’s already packed,” he mumbled, leaving the room and heading for the garage.
“How convenient,” Dean scoffed, quickly pulling on some jeans and a shirt and grabbing his jacket as he left the room.
The guys quickly and quietly checked on the girls, happy to find them both still asleep, before hopping in Baby, ready to hopefully end their stalemate. As the car exited the tunnel on the dirt drive, Dean was forced to slam on the brakes and stop the vehicle. The darkness of the night seemed to become a shroud that surrounded them, making it impossible to see even with the headlights.
“What the Hell,” Dean muttered, throwing the car in park, “You think they’re already here?” Dean asked, turning to Sam, only to find the seat empty. “Sam?!” Dean roared, looking around the car and outside. The darkness seemed to seep into the car until he could see nothing.

I don’t understand how Clark is even Bruce’s friend after reading how Bruce treats his sidekicks
There's more than one reason.
All heroes - beside Barry Allen - haven't been (and often still aren't) always sunshine and rainbows when it comes to their sidekicks. I won't go in depths with all of them but Bruce isn't the only abusive one. Consider that the Leaguers were all pretty young when their sidekicks came around and made lots of mistakes, whether because of inexperience or because they were misguided, thinking that being harsh and unforgiving would have built character for their little counterparts (again, Barry is a stark exception to this). And importantly, how to mentor a sidekick was no one's business except the mentor's. You don't see Barry tapping on Arthur's shoulder and tell him "stop hitting Garth", despite how affectionate and careful with children Barry has always been. Same thing goes with Clark and Bruce.
Of course seeing Bruce treat his sidekicks that way over more than two decades should be enough for anyone to reconsider the friendship, but comics are not real life. Being "difficult" is part of Bruce's whole deal: he pushes away the people he loves, he isolates, keeps to himself and stews in his own pot of demons and loneliness. And Clark loves him, he really really does, and wouldn't leave him alone despite the abusive behaviors Bruce displays towards, well, pretty much everyone (Clark included. I know Superbat shippers tend to live up on the candy mountain where everything is perfect between Bruce and Clark, but Bruce is very much abusive, manipulative and an asshole to Clark too and invariably, Clark forgives him). So the thing is, Clark loves both Bruce and Dick. He recognizes Bruce's flaws and the fact that if he pulled away, it would just hurt Bruce and Dick, and solve nothing.
More in general, Bruce's behavior in this sense is normalized. Read any comic of anyone interacting with Bruce for more than 1 minute, and there will be some rationalization or justification for the shit he pulls at some point in the story (not necessarily towards his sidekicks but in general). His personality is full of jagged edges and if you try to touch you'll likely cut yourself, and all the people close to him know and accept this - luckily for Bruce, because otherwise he'd be entirely alone. This dynamic consistently hurt his friends and family though, and it's especially damaging to the people who Bruce has power over, namely his sidekicks. But everyone normalizes this and considers it part of the "Batman deal", which is why no one does anything meaningful to make him stop, or cuts ties with him over it.
There's another reason, and this one is more meta. When discussing Bruce we can't forget that the character is 80+ and has been written by hundreds of people. And depending from writer to writer, his behavior towards his sidekicks is perceived as more or less abusive: some people make him do the most terrifying things and present them as "tough love", or "necessary for Robin's growth", or even a symptom of how Bruce is the perfect mentor and is preparing his sidekicks to the harsh reality of their vigilante duties. The emotional incompetence (and therefore neglect) is shown as something masculine and therefore desirable, necessary to survive in a world where the Mission is more important than everything else, and everyone is potentially out to get them. So even if one writer will have Clark actively disliking Bruce's behavior towards any Robin, it's likely that the next writer will just drop the plotline and pretend it never happened because they see nothing wrong with it.
And finally. I know that I've said "comics are not real life" at one point, but if I am to be entirely honest with you anon, this is exactly how it works in real life too. People are friends with people who abuse the shit out of their kids, employees, waiters at the coffee shop. Awful parents have friends, managers who act like slave owners have friends, teachers who vent their frustration on kids have friends - it happens all the time and if abusers weren't coddled, justified and even catered to, the number of traumatized people in the world would be drastically inferior. Clark remaining friends with Bruce despite everything is honestly way more realistic than lots of people claim it is.

S3 EP14 (Whom Gods Destroy) in what way?- nevermind probably the killing way. Okay. Well-
Just go:
- “A medicine with which the federation hopes to eliminate mental illness for all time.” WHAT. That is certainly a way to start an episode
- Cory is either going to die or is not actually a doctor. Well according to Marta I’m right about the latter
- they fucking knocked Spock out! (His named autocorrected to spoon lol)
- oh wait so the ‘cure for mental illness’ thing was REAL?
- goddamn why’s he stand like that
Tumblr media
- Scott and McCoy are so confused
- Stigmatizing mental illness by showing that all characters who have it are violent. I get this is set in a prison but this is the only time they show any explicitly mentally ill characters and it’s to show that until there is a ‘fix’ they should be locked away for the safety of the public, which is not a good message to put onto tv. That is my problem with this episode, it’s spreading of stigmas and stereotypes.
- McCoy immediately saying that something’s wrong, ‘that’s not my boyfriend’
- Garth’s fashion sense is… awful
- getting distracted by Kirk’s ass
- oh my god that’s the first time anyone’s really threatened to harm Spock (edit: that’s a lie. That’s just a lie)
- Making the group of inmates all noticeably alien to make them seem like separate or fictional beings
- This argument? Live Spock reaction:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- “What is your reaction, Mr. Spock?” “Well, I find it [the dancing], uh, mildly interesting and somewhat nostalgic, if I understand the use of that word.” “Nostalgic?” “Yes, it is somewhat reminiscent of the dances that Vulcan children do in nursery school. Of course, the children are not so… well-coordinated.” Spock danced as a kid
- Kirk does not want her. Also he’s gay and one of his husbands is right there.
- “A dream that made Mr Spock and me brothers.” I think this is the first time Kirk and Spock refer to each other as anything other than friends… fascinating
- “Blind! Truly blind. Captain Kirk is your commanding officer, and you are his subordinate. And that is all.” Yeah but they’re husbands. Also this feeds into more of the ‘Kirk is designed to be a lonely character’ thing. He can’t even have a connection to his first officer :(
- damn they didn’t even let him infodump
- “No, thank you, I prefer to join Mr. Spock.” Yeah you would
- THEY HAVE AN ELECTRIC CHAIR ?!?
- I think the governor character is a stand in for McCoy, but they decided, ‘I guess we’ve tortured him enough’
- He’s sleepy
Tumblr media
- And they’re kissing (edit: not sure who this is referring to)
- It’s always about getting to a control room and taking down a force field and never about kissing your boyfriend
- Spock coming to Kirk’s rescue? He finally got his knight in shining armour moment
- That’s not Kirk dammnit. He would never let Spock stay- oh wait it was Spock who was the imposter. Okay but where’s Spock
- Kirk’s little curl <3
Tumblr media
- Kirk gets fucking shot. Second time he’s been knocked out this episode
- “You could serve as human sacrifice, for example.” “No, I wouldn’t enjoy that at all.” I love when they write Kirk as polite but obviously he’s got that Spock/McCoy sass rubbed off on him
- Kirk must be so disoriented. He got shot with a phaser and wakes up being held in a very uncomfortable position. Then he’s getting dragged places and beat up again.
- WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS EPISODE. No. No. What the fuck. They just made her choke on gas and then blew her up. This is horrifying. I swear some of these episodes are on the level on horror movies
- It’s funny how Scott and McCoy are getting along (and running the ship together)
- oh okay Spock’s just been chilling
- DOUBLE NERVE PINCH
- OKAY Spock ACTUALLY gets to save his husband in distress this time by being the knight in shining armour
- Once again Spock does not solely abide by pure unemotional logic, he does not fuck around, but he does find out. He’ll get you.
- THEY DID NOT PULL A ‘which is the real Kirk’ ON SPOCK
- which ones got the bigger ass- who said that (edit: I do not remember writing that but it’s genuinely the best thing I’ve written)
- HE DECIDES TO WAIT. HOT GIRL SHIT
- Spock isn’t turned on at all during this fight
- HOT GIRL SHIT IS SHOOTING THE INTRUDER PRETENDING TO BE YOUR BOYFRIEND WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT
- The thing that turns on and off the force field is literally a switch that says on and off and is labelled ‘force field power’
- yay they win or smt
- ‘Why’d it take you so long to know it was me?’ ‘Well in simple words, captain. I didn’t want to shoot my fucking boyfriend.’
They cured mental illness… We’re done for tonight.

My Ponyboy Curtis playlist because I love it, I listen to it quite frequently even when I’m not writing stuff involving him, and want to share it.
Fast Car- Tracy Chapman
Imagine- John Lennon
Dark Days- Punch Brothers
Mama Tried- Grateful Dead (The song is originally by Merle Haggard but I listen to the Grateful Dead version)
East Side of Sorrow- Zach Bryan
hope ur okay- Olivia Rodrigo
Renegades- X-Ambassadors
Everybody Wants To Rule The World- Tears For Fears
Boy In The Bubble- Alec Benjamin
Uptown Girl- Billy Joel
Everybody Knows- Sigrid
Friends In Low Places- Garth Brooks
Winter’s Come and Gone- Charles Wesley Godwin (Song originally by Gillian Welch but I feel like this version fits Ponyboy better)
teenage dream- Olivia Rodrigo
Youth- Daughter
Teenage Dirtbag- Wheatus
Friend of the Devil- Grateful Dead
You’re On Your Own Kid- Taylor Swift
Here Comes The Sun- The Beatles
Tomorrow Will Be Kinder- The Secret Sisters
My reason/analysis for each song is below:
Fast Car- I think the desperation for a better life but the cycle of how life can drag you down and make you live the same lives as the people is something that can relate to Pony. I feel like, deep down, he probably has a fear that things may not work out for him as well as people hope and that he may end up living the same kind of life as the rest of the people in his neighborhood which is why I also think it’s a great song to choose to have as the opener for the playlist. I know Luke Combs has a cover of this song and that it may be the more masculine take on it but I feel like the way Tracy Chapman sings it just has so much heart that it really works for Ponyboy. And plus, Tracy Chapman is my favorite artist so I had to go with her version.
Imagine- I think the song has a bit of a daydreamy kind of vibe that can represent how Ponyboy is described as having his head in the clouds. The song is also a call for peace and unity among people and asks them to imagine a world where what divides them no longer exists which is something that I can see Ponyboy longing for.
Dark Days- The song is about how love getting people through difficult times which is something that I think really works for the Curtis brothers because no matter what they love each other and will do whatever they can to help each other, especially after their parents die.
Mama Tried- I think the song works really well for the vibe of the gang as a whole even if it’s something that may directly relate to Ponyboy. And even if Ponyboy doesn’t get into much trouble I’m sure that he gets into more than his mother would have wanted for him (especially after goes on the run for Bob’s murder)
East Side of Sorrow- I think there is so much about the song that relate to so many people in the story but I’ll try to keep my analysis limited to Ponyboy. I think while when song talks about fighting a war that you don’t even know what your fighting for works well for the metaphorical war between the Greasers and the Socs in the books. It’s been going on long before Pony and will continue long after him and no matter what he will never fully understand it even though he too participates in it. “I lost friends in the August heat” I feel really relates to Johnny and Dally’s death, because it was probably about that time that the book takes place. And when the song talks about losing someone in the waiting room and that the doctor did all the could it really brings home the point about Johnny’s death. The song then mentions walking around the Tulsa streets while feeling fucked up which represent Pony’s depression after the death of Johnny and Dally and how he was aimlessly going through life. I also like how the song specifically refers to the east, and of course the Greasers live on the East side of Tulsa. The song then also talks about the sunrise as a symbol of optimism for the future and the sun imagery really works for Ponyboy. After all, sunrises can’t really be that different than sunsets for him.
hope ur okay- I feel like this is how Ponyboy will look back on the people he knew in Tulsa once he finally moves away. I also like how the song references a towhead blonde which is also similar to how Ponyboy describes Dally.
Renegades- I feel like this song really works for Johnny and Pony running away from Tulsa. Even though it’s a bit optimistic for the events in the book, I still feel like it also works for their friendship too.
Everybody Wants To Rule The World- I feel like Ponyboy would really dig the instrumentals of the song and the references to well, people wanting to rule the world works for the story in an odd way that I can’t quite explain. But the vibe of it just really works
Boy In The Bubble- I feel like the beginning of the song is really reminiscent of how Ponyboy and the rest of the gang will get jumped by Socs but in the end where it discusses the home life of the person who attacked the singer represents Ponyboy gaining an understanding of how things are rough all over Tulsa and that even Socs have problems
Uptown Girl- I feel like once Ponyboy starts liking girls (if he does even like girls because I’m not entirely convinced that boy is straight) he would mainly have a thing for Soc girls. The song is about a lower class boy wanting to get with an upper class girl which is what I can see for Ponyboy in the future.
Everybody Knows- The Greasers have the cards stacked against them and everybody knows this, especially Ponyboy.
Friends In Low Places- I was debating between this and Heathens but this won because it’s country (I feel like the gang would really like country music) and the friends in low places is an obvious reference to the gang. I also think that in a way it shows how Ponyboy is out of place in his classes because he’s a Greaser and there are a lot of Socs in them.
Winter’s Come and Gone- I love the outdoorsy vibe of the song and think that Pony would too. I also like the lyrics “so long now I’ve been out in the rain in snow” because I think it can work as a really interesting way of portraying the gangs struggles and how Ponyboy doesn’t feel like he entirely fits in.
teenage dream- Ponyboy really hates it when people refer to him as being a kid which is a sentiment that I think this song shares. I also think it has a slight desperation to be taken seriously which is something that I also think that Ponyboy relates to.
Youth- It only loosely relates but has lyrics like “if you’re still breathing your the lucky ones” which in a way works because it shows that even things are tough, as long as you’re still alive you’re pretty lucky. Because, as we see in the novel, Greasers tend to die young so those of them who still able to keep on living are pretty lucky.
Teenage Dirtbag- I feel like the title of song is probably a bit about how Ponyboy feels about himself. I also think that song relates a bit to teen who are bit more into counter culture/ may get into a bit more trouble which I think works really well with Ponyboy.
Friend of the Devil- From the title alone I think it works. Ponyboy is friends with a lot of troubled people, and some of them, like Dally, some people probably consider a bit devilish. The song as a whole may not perfectly work with Ponyboy but I feel like the vibe of it does
You’re On Your Own Kid- I feel like this is really a Ponyboy in twenty years looking back at his life/childhood kind of song. And also shows how at the end of the day, and even though the gang wants to help him, the only person who is truly looking out for him is himself. He’s not like the rest of the gang. He’s on his own.
Here Comes The Sun- The song has a really optimistic tone has promises of a better future. It also has a lot of sun imagery
Tomorrow Will Be Kinder: The song is hopeful for a future that is better than the present. I think that is the kind of sentiment that Ponyboy holds onto throughout life, especially during his childhood. I think if he doesn’t develop that kind of outlook he will probably be depressed for most of his life.
Some my analysis for this stuff is better than others and not all songs directly relate to Ponyboy, or even the gang/Greasers, but I think the vibe for each song works.

Plumbers log, 311016
I have an Experience that I feel needed to be talked about
It was Halloween. I wouldn't think anything of it normally.
I started the day like any other. I had woken up in my bed. Sleeping in as I only had one appointment
I had showered. I gotten dressed. And walked down the stairs to our kitchen.
Meggy was already up, as was Peach.
I remember we had my wife's favorite in the morning. A steak and tofu omelette. Personally I can't stand eggs or tofu. But I forced myself to eat the dish. I would just stop by Retties or Paisansos to get a Pizza de Salami later.
I talked with Peach and Meggy. Peach had a normal agenda for the day. An appearance at the E.A.C.H. center as well as some appearances at some gatherings.
Meggy was going to hang out in the castle. she did not really seem interested in trick-or-treating. Truthfully, it seems like she changes her mind every other year. I guess it has to do with her hiding her hair under her hat. But I try to be supportive anyway.
I finished my cappuccino and grabbed my toolbox.
I needed to stop by Wundeshwun. I ran through the obstacle course for old times sake. I swear. Changing the flag with your own never gets old.
Though once I re-replace the when that's supposed to be there. It becomes a little less fun.
I picked up a part I needed. Though as it was afternoon when I got the part. I decided to get lunch at Retties.
I only ate a small 10 inch Supreme Pizza. Of course I did leave some room for dessert with about six cannolis.
Unfortunately as I was about to enjoy my seventh. I got an alert from Castle town on my flip phone.
Mama mia.
It was Tatanga. I haven't fought him since 2006 when I was scouting and whether or not me and Peach wanted to have our wedding on the moon.
I rushed immediately to Castle town after stuffing the other three cannolis in my mouth and paying.
Tatanga was wrecking everything. Honestly if it wasn't for the fact he was an evil alien, I would have written a letter of recommendation to my old boss in college Spike.
I jumped between some broken rubble and an unwrecked building.
This pesky conqueror was here to conquer the kingdom. Mostly out of Revenge for me saving my cousin-law Daisy back in the eightys.
We fought for a bit. I jump on his head and he attacks.
He managed to actually get some good hits up at me.
I landed in a museum. Honestly, I'd say I might have been done for if I haven't been through this trouble before.
Tatanga was about to attack.
When suddenly. I heard a yell. Coming from the other side of the hall.
It was some kid in an employee uniform with a bush with super balls.
He started throwing them at Tatanga.
I'm not sure what happened. But the attack made by this kid made Tatanga retreat.
I dusted myself off. And was going to thank the kid. But before I could, I was surrounded by fans and news reporters. I did make sure to thank the kid on the news but I think he was pushed out of the way so he couldn't see it in person.
Later in the day when I came back home to the castle. I asked Toadsworth for a favor. I asked him if he could bring the kid here. I'd like to thank him personally and offer him a medal.
I got myself ready in the evening.
I would invite him into the meeting room we use for battle strategies and paying our taxes. I even brought out a couple slice of my favorite cake, pepperoni cheesecake.
I did do a little bit of book learning to see who this kid was. His name is Garth and he was in the news about a year ago. He was unfortunately taken from his home from a device that acts like a warp pipe.
I can understand the feeling. If it wasn't for Luigi, the princess, and Toad. I would have never gotten used to the Mushroom Kingdom
When the kid arrived. I explained that it was an honor for him to be there. I could see the smile on his face. He explained that he was a big fan of my Adventures.
As I was about to actually show him the medal. He said something that's shook me to my core
"you've done so much good for this world and met so many amazing people people. You've been to the Underwhere and back. You fought Bowser and saved Princess Peach dozens of times. You've helped places like New Donk City, Rapland, Dome City, Rogue Port, New York City, Pilloh Island..."
He kept going on and on about all the stuff I've done for quite some time.
I've never heard it told so passionately.
I decided to make a decision.
I would offer this kid a chance to be my Apprentice and take over my title of SUPER
I'll do it as a thank you. A chance for him to be a hero like me. Since he looked up to me.
I assume that he might resign.
But there is a chance that he might prove himself. I can see him becoming SUPER
...
SUPER Garth.
It has a nice ring to it.
But only time will tell.

Finding Comfort in Trust
Summary - Part 55 in the Comfort series
Pairing - Dean Winchester x Reader, Reader x Sam (platonic), Reader x Bobby (father-figure), Andre (OG Character) x Reader (best friends), Garth x Bess, Sam x Eileen
Series Masterlist | Masterlist
A/N: Hey guys, Late again and no chapter last week…Sorry. Been a bit going on, but I’m trying to get back into the swing of things. I hope you enjoy this week’s chapter anyway. I love you guys.
Tumblr media
You park in the Bunker’s garage and shut off the engine. You look over your shoulder at Dean and Destiny and smile.
“You okay?” you mouth to your husband. He nods. “Take her to our room. I’ll chat to Sam and then give Bobby a call.”
You get out and then open the back door for Dean. He carefully gets out, trying his best not to disturb the little girl drifting off in his arms. You peck his cheek and hers as he passes you. You close and lock the car and garage before following him out into the Bunker. You watch Dean disappear into your shared room as you turn to go into the library. Sam’s eyes widen as he sees you standing in the doorway with your arms crossed over your chest.
He looks between you and the lady sitting across from him, who you assume must be Eileen, before finally gesturing for you to come in. “Eileen, this is my brother’s wife, Y/N,” he says being careful to enunciate every word for her to read his lips fully.
You smile and nod at her. “Nice to meet you. I’m so sorry, I promised I wouldn’t disturb your night, but I need to steal Sam away for just a second.”
Sam shakes his head without moving to stand up. “What’s going on?”
You smile at Eileen as she bows her head and focuses on the book in front of her. “We think there may be other hunters in town. I’m not sure what they’re hunting if they are, but we may have accidentally put a target on Destiny. She made a friend at the park, but I think she may have been a hunter’s daughter. Which seemed great at first, until we remembered that to many our little girl is a monster.”
“Did she tell you her parents are hunters?”
“Not exactly. It’s just a gut feeling Dean has. She said they travel a lot because of her parents’ work and are often left home alone. Would you have been able to sniff out a werewolf at five or six?”
“I was eight when Dean finally told me the truth about our lives. So, not at six. But Dean’s life was different, I think he might’ve. So it depends what this girl’s life is like.”
“She said she has an older sister. So, we’re, I’m hoping she’s more like you. Innocent and oblivious for now. I love Destiny, Sam. I promised I’d keep her safe. And Dean and I bought a house. We’re getting out. But…”
“Bobby knows way more hunters than we do, especially the family types.”
“Yeah, he’s my next call.”
“Where’s Dean? He’s not out hunting hunters is he?”
“No, he’s got a more important job right now. He’s confined to the bedroom, 'cause I know he’ll go all papa bear out there if I let him. But I just need to be sure first. I think we’ve managed to keep it all pretty quiet so far but if gets out there that we’re protecting a werewolf…”
Out of instinct, Eileen looks up briefly just catching the last word on your lips. “Werewolf? Where?” she asks.
You look at Sam pleadingly.
“You trust me? I want to let you in on this, but I have to know I can trust you and you’ll trust me. This isn’t a hunt.”
“What’s going on, Sam?” She asks.
He looks up at you for permission. You look at Eileen sceptically and shake your head.
Sam nods and then looks at Eileen and reaches across the table for her hand. “I’m sorry, Eileen. This is a family issue.”
“I understand.”
You look at Eileen and sigh. “You’re like us, right? You don’t have any family left? But if you did you would protect them with everything you have, right?”
She nods. “Of course.”
“Dean and I, our daughter is a werewolf.”
“She got turned? I’m so sorry.”
You decide not to correct her yet. “She’s still our daughter and we have to protect her. She’s not a monster. She’s raised on animal hearts from the butcher. In every other way, she’s a normal little girl. She’s our little girl and we have to protect her. I’m trusting you to keep this to yourself. This information doesn’t leave the Bunker. But if you know of any other hunters in town right now who may be trying to hunt her I need you to tell me.”
“I hunt alone. Or I did before I met Sam. I’m sorry, I don’t know. I didn’t know there was anything to hunt here.”
“Thanks. I hope Dean’s wrong and we’re panicking for nothing. Can you guys please just check and keep me posted?”
Sam and Eileen both nod. “Of course.”
You nod. “I’m gonna call Bobby.”
You walk into the kitchen and pull out your phone as you lean against the cold metal counter. You dial Bobby’s number and hold your phone up to your ear as you listen to the dial tones.
“Hey Kiddo, what’s going on?”
“Do you know of any hunters in Lebanon?”
“Besides you guys?”
“Obviously.”
“Everyone hunter worth their salt knows the Winchesters own Lebanon. They wouldn’t dare take on a hunt there unless they had a death wish. You obviously think there are other hunters there though.”
“Dean does. He’s got me paranoid.”
“How did I get from transferring half my savings across for you to buy a house to searching for other hunters in your area?”
“It all started the same…Protecting your granddaughter.”
“Y/N…Alright. I’ll make some calls.”
“Be subtle. If she doesn’t have a target on her already, don’t you dare go lining up the crosshairs.”
“Have a little faith, would you? I’ll talk to you later.”
“Thanks, Bobby.”
After hanging up you make two PB&Js and take them along with a glass of water into your bedroom. You find Dean flicking through the channels with Destiny snuggled into his side fast asleep. You smile and he mutes the TV. You take a seat on the bed beside them.
“So?”
“Eileen seems nice. I had a chat with her and Sam about it. They said they’ll do some research and Bobby said he’ll look into it. But so far, I think we might be wrong and overreacting.”
“I hope so.”
“You were brought up a hunter…would you have known at her age?”
“Probably not. It was too brief. Even I wasn’t that good at that age.”
“Sam said the same thing. Even I was older when I started hunting, but the signs aren’t obvious and she hides it well.”
“Yeah…But I still think we hold off on moving out for a little while. Just until we’re sure.”
“Yep…”
“I’m sorry, Sweetheart. I should’ve…”
“Don’t go there. None of this is your fault. You were finally getting wrapped up in being a dad. You never have to apologise for loving that little girl and being happy. That’s exactly what I want.”
He gives you a small lopsided smile and nods, showing he accepts your words but is still blaming himself, but before you can say anything else he changes the subject. “That dinner?” he asks nodding at the plate on your lap.
“Yeah, sorry it’s not much. I don’t have much of an appetite and I didn’t feel like cooking.”
“You make it?” he asks and you nod. “Then it’s perfect.” He gently lifts Destiny so she’s lying flat on the bed between you and then sits up. You hand him one of the sandwiches.
Before you take a bite you watch him and smile softly. “I love you, Dean.”
He lifts an eyebrow at you, but once he finishes chewing he says, “I love you too.”

@lachrymosestorm asked:
Dez had definitely not expected to marry anyone in the mafia. Her cheeks were red as she walked down the aisle in the black wedding gown - arranged or not she had been very insistent on the color. She reached the aisle and the vows were exchanged and lips were met as she married the man decided for her.
It was a moment of privacy as the party raged when she turned to look at her new husband, Garth, and she looked at him with a flustered expression. She knew what she got out of this, financial security and a few other things but she didn't know what he got out of it. "Can I ask you, why did you agree to marry me?" // Garth for the arranged mafia marriage AU
Unprompted - Always Welcomed ~
Tumblr media
As things went, this wasn't the worst situation that his father had placed him in, but he couldn't help but feel rather sorry for the girl that was marrying into the mess that was his family - nor understand as to why she would agree to such a thing. Surely she was aware that the Mafia came with some rather undelightful side affects...and surely her life had been better before this?
He gazed towards Dez as she asked him why he'd agreed, the confusion pretty clear to see within his gaze. It wasn't as though he had much of a choice, but even if he had, why would anyone want to turn down someone who was so beautiful? Course, there was more to a person than their looks, and it might turn out that they didn't mix well, but a part of him silently hoped that somehow this would work out.
And if that was his wish, then he should start off with making the silent promise of being as honest as he could be, "Honestly, I had no real choice. My father's a rather powerful man and wished for this arrangement to happen...but at the same time...", he paused, swallowing back the slight nerves he felt, "...I hope that we get along...that this can be a good marriage for us both...I will do my best to make sure you lead a good life". He gave a weak smile, before taking a small sip of his wine, hoping that he didn't sound too childish with such ideals in such a dark world.

What do you think about the fab five polycule
(Dick x donna x wally x garth x roy)
i'll be SO honest i wish i had like. insightful interesting opinions on them but i've always been a Young Justice kid and sort of. breezed past consuming Fab Five Teen Titans content-
but of what i *do* know, from the few comics i've read with these characters is this is one of the best ships for Dick, honestly. it always deeply annoys me when fanon content breezes past the Titans as if they're just some distant teammates and not some of Dick's closest friends, if not a second family. *especially* the Fab Five. for most, if not all of them, it's the first time getting to actually connect with other teen heroes. so there's something fun about how sort of terrible they are at it, at first. they all care about each other a lot. but they're kind of chucked into the deep figuring out how to work with each other and get along with *very* different personalities, so it's fun to see where the conflict comes.
as a ship, i do really love it. the Titans are a family. like we call a lot of teams found families, but for the Fab Five, that shit is the truest. they depend on each other and trust each other. when Dick and Bruce are on outs and Bruce fires him, he goes to the Titans.
i also enjoy how, to an extent, all of them are outsiders of some kind. Donna is alone in a new world she's never experienced, the same as Garth. Roy is still new and awkward to living the rich life with Oliver. Wally doesn't connect to his parents well. and of course, Dick has lost his parents and only has Bruce, who isn't the most emotionally available. of course they're going to cling to each other, as the first people they can really develop connections too. they're very clingy with each other and i think that's both cute and *fun* to explore like, codependency issues with them. how protective they can be of each other, how they default to trusting each other over their mentors, etc. it's all very interesting for a polycule, especially since for most of them, it's their first real relationship. i'm a big fan of "none of us know what dating looks like bc we've had such strange childhoods so we don't understand the Rules very well. we're all just going to date each other bc why would i date only one of you. do teamups count as dates now." vibes with teenage polycules. and the Fab Five just. have that on lock. they each fulfill a different "niche" in the group. Garth is the softer, more emotional one you can go to if you're upset. Donna is the one for planning bright fun trips and making sure you don't wallow. Roy is protective and can pretend to be suave, but he shows affection through gift giving and grand gestures where words fail him. Wally can cheer any of them up with jokes and distractions. and of course Dick is the logical one who makes sure they all keep their heads on and don't drown in the responsibility.
overall i think it's a really cute ship and i do wish i just. knew more about them to be able to write them/read fic of it because i do love their dynamic. and i'm just a firm believer in the Titans being Dick's family, just as important to him as the Batfam. they're a disaster and for that you gotta love them.
#necrotic answerings#fab five#ty for asking!!#i love getting asks liek this even if on things i don't know a ton about#i think the only real comics i've read of the fab five are world's finest: teen titans and teen titans: year one#and some of the silver age stuff but only ever for the plot not for those characters specifically#so like. i know enough to vaguely understand the characters#but i did have to approach it from the perspective of dick bc obviously i know him the best#i am interested in reading more about garth. he's a little cutie. i love him.#he seems very easy to whump. you could do a lot of dead dove things to that boy.#also this is darker in concept#but i find the way bruce dislikes the titans and dick working with them pretty fascinating#bc the reasonable answer is it's the first time dick is operating outside of bruce and it just gives bruce anxiety#but the *fun* answer is: brudick vs fab five polycule#where bruce is hyper possessive of dick developing other potentially romantic bonds#or just bonds in general#so he tries to come in between it#if i ever wrote a fab five polycule fic#that's the route i would take personally. very dark controlling brudick with the titans slowly taking notice and growing more concerned#otherwise tho i leave this ship to be written by ppl who understand them more#bc i know next to nothing about a lot of them#dick and roy i understand#garth i'm interested in#couldn't tell you much about wally or donna tho#and i prefer wally as flash when i do read him. bc he's a disaster man.#i really haven't read much titans content in general i fear#i've read some new teen titans for like. slade content and whatnot#and some of the 2003 run but besides that. i was always on the yj side of the fence#that said i will say *as* a core four truther#the fab five are *always* going to be closer as a team than the core four.

Would you think a little storyline about teenage Garth and Donna being close but drifting apart once he finds out she’s dating Roy would be interesting? Of course with it being a factor to him leaving the titans and adding some internal conflict with him feeling a bit betrayed.
I think Garth and Donna probably could bond over being outsiders in the world of man/land dwellers. The thing is (and I know this is probably retconned and that’s why people don’t realize it) but Roy and Garth did not really serve on the team at the same time. There are a few times where all five of them are on a mission with nobody else tagging along, but Roy became a member after Garth left and they rarely interact until they become adults. The fact that Roy is very rude and condescending to Garth as adults is even more upsetting when you realize his jabs are probably due to how the other Titans spoke of him vs actual camaraderie that he’s trying to recapture.
Garth is rude back to Roy as well, I’m not going to paint him as innocent here. But I think it’s important to understand that they are not childhood friends the way Garth is with Dick or Donna.
If it was a fanfic or a retcon where Roy was incredibly antagonistic towards Garth while being someone closer in the friend group (rather than someone who might be rude, but isn’t someone Garth considers a friend) it would be a pretty valid reason for Garth to pull away because it adds to his isolation.
If I were to write a storyline involving Garth and Donna feat. betrayal, I would go a different route: I think it would be interesting if they bonded very closely over not really understanding how to fit in with the new world. But Donna spends all her time in the world of man and Garth has to go home every night, so each time he sees her Donna is more comfortable and assimilated while he’s stuck feeling like an outsider. Donna used to be on his side, getting mocked for misunderstanding an aspect of American culture, but now she’s also teasing him when he messes up. So he feels betrayed that she’s “progressing” faster than him and no longer seems sympathetic to his outsider status.

Has there been any attempt to start a mix bug empire? Where different bug species as rulers and citizens?
I had the idea of a bug circus from Bug's Life into BWNM, and that bug circus evolved into a small colony of outcasts into a bug cult to eventually an unofficial bug kingdom only rumored to exist and said to just be some horror story
I thought about my laddy Phosphor hearing and finding them and finding out the truth. They're just unlucky bugs who found eachother and take in other bugs who felt the same. Possibly far from normal bug civilization but somewhere like a park, a backyard, a small hidden place.
Holy shit a bug café-
As of rough drafting, there hasn't been anything exactly like what you described. The closest thing to it (That I have so far) is some of the alliances that the Garth and Timberland Slugs have.
Of course it's not uncommon for some bugs to become citizens of a Kingdom that they aren't a species of. I would give an example of that in the story but it'd be a bit of a spoiler. So let's just say that a Grasshopper can very much join like, the Cicada Burrows or something
Also, there are plenty of Kingdoms that have different kinds of citizens that belong to the same species. An example of this would be:
Different Slug species in the Slug Kingdoms
Different Spider species in the Spider Provinces
Different Butterfly species in the Butterfly Pavilions
Different Beetle species in the Beetle Dynasty
With your idea it seems very compelling, I really dig the idea of an unofficial kingdom of bugs taking in those who are less fortunate. Although I'd like to add:
I feel as though the progression from "Circus to Colony to Cult to Kingdom of misunderstood bugs" feels a bit odd with the Cult part in there Cults are abusive and manipulative, them becoming the good guys seems just a bit odd. If you wanted to keep the Cult thing in there, then I got a suggestion:
When the Colony began to show and adhere to cult-like tendencies and behaviors, many bugs apart of the group fled the abusive and controlling environment
This is when the unofficial bug kingdom sprouted up
Unfortunately though, many of the bug's previous background with the cult made outsider bugs whisper horror stories, misconstruing the origin of the unofficial bug kingdom into being the actual cult
This is just to give an idea, of course it's 100% up to you on how you'd want to approach the group. My main point though is that it can definitely raise some eyebrows to have a Cult suddenly "change their ways for the better and become good guys". The members/victims can change, however.
I'd also look in to the behaviors of cults, read into books made by ex-cult victims, ask for resources about the topic, look into how to Not handle it. Hell, even the short idea presented in this answer is open for suggestions to help better understand the serious topic.

Filing Off the Serial Numbers
Filing Off the Serial Numbers https://ift.tt/ujArckF by WhoIPretended2Be Castiel Shurley doesn’t understand why an engineering major keeps showing up in his upper-level creative writing classes. He knows part of having a liberal arts education is taking things outside of your major, but who takes 400-level English courses for fun? And even more galling, his classmates keep gushing about his short stories. You would think Dean Winchester is the next Isaac Asimov. Then Castiel finally gets assigned to peer edit one of Dean’s short stories… and he recognizes it. To be fair, it’s a great story. Too bad Dean didn’t write it. He stole it—lifted straight from a fanfic, with the serial numbers barely filed off. Updates every Wednesday.
