silly headcanon story i came up with: i imagine Fang gets nightmares often and has trouble sleeping. Mitty caught wind of this (probably from X running his mouth) and she tailored up a set of soft pajamas for him. At first Fang's kinda just like "okay nice i guess idk why you did all this for me tho" until he realizes how soft and comfy they are and falls in love with them!!

This is the first time Kouko and Inuyasha properly connected one on one, through comfort and a bowl of warm soup.

After a particularly rough confrontation with Kikyo, Kouko followed Inuyasha out to where he was trying to silently recuperate from the event. He definitely wasn't thrilled, but instead of beckoning him back to the group, she offered him out a bowl of warm soup, and sat next to him to give her condolences to how things played out between the two of them.

She wasn't aware of his past before now, and in all honesty, seeing him do more than bicker with Kagome and fight in battles definitely humanized him in her mind. She still hadn't grown past her distain for demons yet, so being able to sympathize with one was a bit of a revelation.

She understood the feeling of breaking things off on bad terms with a lover, especially with how badly things ended with her and her own first love. Though it definitely wasn't the same, it was a similar type of grief, and while she had grown and overcome her own mourning over time, she had the realization that his pain was still a very open wound. If none of the others were willing to give him the time and patience he needed to grieve, she would.

It was a cautious, and very hesitant start to them growing to be friends, but one brought through compassion and concern. It helped them grow some semblance of understanding for each other, that would eventually lead to Inuyasha returning the kindness down the line.

I've had this one as a sketch for... Actual months now? I think? (￣▽￣*)ゞ What a pain! I'm so incredibly happy with how it turned out, though! The soft muted greens fit so well for this being the first peek into their bonding in comparison with the lively brighter greens they have later!

Fun Fact: I always forget to draw Inuyasha's beads when doing pieces like this where it's set before he got them taken off LMAO Slips my mind nearly every time!

(There's also a 50% chance I forget Kouko's freckles on every piece I do of her (×_×)⌒☆ Happens more than you'd think, I just manage to catch it before I post the drawing lol)

Two days late to post this! (;*ˊᗜˋ*) I've been super tired lately and forgot to post on my tumblr, so here come a couple of posts I did on my DA!

It's officially been one year since I started posting about these two, both on Tumblr and DA! Currently 116 pieces posted on DA before this one, I'd say I've done a pretty good job! ( ᵔ ⩊ ᵔ ) It's been so fun drawing these two and developing them and their relationship over time!

Watching both Kouko and my art grow and change over the year has been such a wonderful experience, but it wouldn't be as wonderful if I didn't have my supporters with me! °˖✧◝(≧▽≦)◜✧˖°

I'll admit that I was really worried to post these two anywhere at first since I heard that OC x Canon ships tend to get a lot of hate, and I've experienced that firsthand in the past. It didn't help that Kouko isn't exactly a conventional female OC, she's taller and bulkier than Inuyasha and has a big focus on her physical strength, so I was definitely hesitant to share her with the world- Even with how much work I put in to make her fleshed out and well developed, I wasn't sure if people would give her a chance or not, you know? (・・')ゞ

But to my surprise I've actually gotten an overwhelmingly positive response compared to what I expected!? Σ(°▽°) I haven't gotten a fraction of the backlash that I was expecting, and that's such a relief! (╥_╥) I'm so glad the people that have found my work like her as much as I do!

I've gotten so many lovely comments, had such interesting in-depth conversations, and been able to share my ideas and love for these two with you all, and that's meant the absolute world to me! °˖✧o(〒▽〒)o✧˖° I may forget to reply to comments at times or not have the energy to respond, but I do read every single one, and they never fail to make me smile! I appreciate every single one so much more than you know.

So will there be any shipping in the Antares AU?

There will be, eventually. Romance isn't a focus, but I want to explore all types of relationships down the line. While I don't want to give away the ships that haven't been confirmed, or are a bit spoilery, here's a list of some of the ships in no particular order:

Obviously there's been some hijinks in the STRQ family line, what with Tai having been married to both Raven and then Summer, and Summer also having a Past with Tyrian, but other relationships STRQ have been involved in have been Irontai, tho it didn't last, dated Oobleck in high school but found they were better as friends, and Summer had a short-lived but sweet romance with William Schnee.

If Nora had lived in Antares, I absolutely would have had her be endgame with May Marigold, as Struck Gold is one of my most niche ships and one of my favourites. Unfortunately it was not to be, sads.

Robyn and Clover are exes, I've always thought they had that energy. Fiona Thyme has a relationship going on with an OC called Molly Miller, drummer of a local punk band called BiteYou.

Tyrian and Watts seem to have a Thing going on but they aren't comfirming anything and no one else in Evernight cares enough (or, in Sun and Emerald's case, are too batshit terrified) to ask.

Harriet was in a queerplatonic relationship with Kelpie Tortuga, which, uh, ouch. Roman and Neo were also in a queerplatonic relationship, it's complicated but they're definitely the most canon 'soulmates' of the whole AU. There are, or will be, a few other QPRs floating around in the future because I love them. I do plan to have some polycule rep as well.
