scared my supervisor by accidentally marking the dentist appointment i went to as "safe leave (sick)" on my time card, which i did not realize was leave specifically for if you're experiencing gender-based violence. so she was understandably very concerned.

It’s getting really scary in Lebanon. There is no safe place. They’re saying they want to make Lebanon worse than Gaza. I’ve already lost a handful of family, I am begging you to talk about Lebanon. I am begging you. You can’t sleep, you can’t eat, you can barely drink water if you find an open store. Please, speak up. Please, give Lebanon importance too. We were at rallies for Gaza everyday for month. We were donating all we had to them, I’ve been trying to help for as long as I can. Please.

There's no way that would be adequate enough to convey how tragic this is.

Israeli officials saying in 2023 that they plan to "erase Gaza" are the same lunatics who in 2024 are saying "Lebanon will not exist."

Every day it's more evident that Israel is deploying the same strategy of collective punishment in both Gaza and Lebanon; from evacuation orders and the displacement of over 1.2 million Lebanese people, to the targeting of healthcare workers and facilities.

Just like in Gaza, entire families in Lebanon are being annihilated, villages decimated, and children remain a target of Israel's violence with over 200 children killed in Lebanon just in the past two months.

The similarities are chilling and the reality is undeniably horrific. And just like with Gaza, this is a reminder to all, myself included, to always include all fronts of Israel's violence in our advocacy.

What's happening in Lebanon today is a clear extension of Israel's settler colonial violence and expansionist mindset that started in Palestine and seeped into Lebanon, and who knows where to next if Israel isn't held accountable for its crimes and atrocities.

they would be such a power couple together. they're both quick thinking & innovative & would be absolute power houses in getting settlements up and running. it's a good ship in an au where lucy is alive & mac is the fridged husband & it's good in an au where she never dies & it's a lucy/georgia/mac situation. literally all situations can be improved by unfridging your wives.

I haven't posted abt it bc i haven't touched bg3 in Forever BUT I was already thinking of making feron/shadowheart canon bc truthfully feron/astarion would never have worked. feron respects herself too much.

read a fic once where lucy was recruited by the institute & replaced with a synth before she died bc she was so damn smart. she was out there in a cave synthesizing a cure for rickets made out of buffout ofc the institute would wanna snatch her up.

lucy knew rj was lying to her the entire time btw. he was never able to lie to her no matter how hard he tried. she knew his tells from an early age and that while he wouldn't do right by himself, he would often do right by others he considered to be under his watch and knew the lengths he would go to protect them. she saw his calling himself a soldier instead of a mercenary as him trying to do right by her in his own roundabout way (means, means, means). she knew she couldn't outright ask him for the truth because he would only continue to lie, thinking he was preserving the image she held of him that he used as a goal for his own personal growth. whether she likes it or not, she set the bar for him and cannot move it because otherwise the means are defensible and above all lucy is a healer that made a promise. so she asks him indirectly. she paints the toy soldier and gives it to him and wordlessly asks him who and what kind of person he wants to be. he can make the choice to be better than their upbringing or he can continue on the road paved for him through his actions. he can be the man who kills for caps or the man who kills in defense. his hands were always going to be stained whether the blood shed was innocent or not but he was never alone in that. after all, the healer has the bloodiest hands and not every kid in lamplight could be saved. lucy knows that intimately and so she can't judge him for the choices he makes. they are both too young to have made the choices they did but the ones they make together can help make up for it. rj can be a better man, lucy can save everyone that needs saving, and they can try to build a life for themselves that goes far beyond where they came from.
