I'm gonna yap

Lemme go into the "When the lights go out" Grim/dark Au for a moment here.

The rebels and blades yl seem to be making pretty good progress in their endeavors against Galra and hostile parties connected and unaffiliated to the Galra empire.

The upcoming Clear day is nearing for them. They are having a small get-together to brighten the spirits of the rebels and blades, and especially the newly freed prisoners and refugees. It's just something to cheer everyone up. Voltron is going to be there (and hopefully form Voltron) but there is concern due to word of some sickness. A simple cold or virus spreading around due to the conditions of the planets in that system.

Nothing to egregious or worrisome. Everyone's excited and hurrying to get duties done and over to go to the event.

Olia is among those tasked with organizing ships to take those willing and want to go to the event. Ozar is among those who is refusing to go, being a bit more stubborn since their commander is a bit more flighty. Uncharacteristic of their commander. Eventually, she gets him to go with and leave, just have fun and relax.

Hell, they even get the blades to come with and male some good strides in connections. Ozar is pretty proud of that. Olia is, too.

That's the fluff/start of it.

Nah nah nah-- it focuses on the rebels for the most part. The blades be there sometimes, but mostly the rebels say for a few others, and of course...OC's and other non-canon elements.

Takes place with Lotor's aid and joining the coalition, Lotor does have the alteans colony.

Sendak is here and is a threat. Along with his Empire of purification.

Te-osh lived and is the mother of a wolf, oversized smurf, and tiny human.

The blades and rebels have some connection, but it's definitely weak. But they know of oke another enough to be competent.

Rebels are kinda tired and not as appreciated as they really should be. They don't have a lot of numbers but are working on getting more members with effort of Lance, Hunk, and some other humans.

Changed relationships and other things. Taken a few aspects from my hcs and put it into this.

It's a grim/dark Au and *not spoliers* but not happy 100%, but it's a bittersweet au.

I love these dudes, but I also am a simple person who loves grimdark mlp stories, infection aus, and grim/dark/bittersweet/angsty stuff. Fluff is sweet but...just me. Sorry, anyways. I really do appreciate the rebels and they need more love. I don't know if it's merely me but I don't see much about them? Or art of a few more minor members of it. (Olia don't count she has stuff /j)

I still have so much for the rebels and it’s killing me because I also love my Alfor/Thace ship. But I also adore my family of a bird mom, a wolf gurlie, and their big oversized Smurf looking Mf. I cannot believe I dropped them all and I do want to give them the proper attention someday. Maybe sooner then one thinks?

u have noooo idea how happy it makes me to see a rebel coalition centred blog espppp ozar like truly cultured tbh they shouldve had more focus in the show because of how interesting they were plus they were doing all the dirty work voltron wouldnt do along with the blade of marmora. i always wondered how ozar,olia,te-osh and kolivan wouldve gotten along, they mustv been so at odds but i imagine the voltron show cringe mustve united all of them lolll anyways please take careeee <3

I JUST SAW THIS

Okay…so I do want to make a rebel centered blog, especially for Ozar lol, but I really love the rebels so much. The blades are cool and have other things I’d love to see, but the rebels need more love and were like soooo left behind. But I’m kinda glad because of how the voltron team was treated and that found family ended up being…yeah. Anyways, the rebels are chill as heck and I adore them.

For the rebels I have like a bunch of AU’s for the, and dedicated to them, my favorite ones are like the…

What never was; aka no war and unity and a lot of fluff and minor drama

When the lights go out; Rift creatures destroy voltron and actual corrupt and become more beyond what the Galra intended it to be, resulting in a massive virus and corruption of all life it comes into contact with. Yap yap lots of angst

Between the times; basically focused on the period of Voltrons absence for those 3 years

For all the peace in the world; Altean empire AU but focuses on the rebels

Bam bam my AU’s that I adore to hell and back. I usually focus on Olia, Ozar, and Te-osh because like…I dunno I I saw them and was like “they 100% found family no questions.”. You cannot tell me they weren’t a family at heart. I’m so upset we never got more interaction between them or anything and how like chill Ozar was after Te-osh died??? Like…DUDE YOUR COMMANDER IS DEAD??!!

I also heavily headcanon Ozar as like Galra and Altean…and then made up another species to explain his bluenessss…anywayyyss, I’m sorry this is so off topic but I just adore them. Olia being Ozar’s big sis and Ozar being a little nut to her in their younger years (age didn’t help it just made him more of a nuisance to her and sneak). Te-osh is a mother figure to Ozar and Olia, and Matt.

Ad as you can see…the background took me the longest for me to compelete. Legit I got done at the 7th day but the bg…oooooh that stupid background. Besides that! I think it came out nicely! I’m posting it here too since I’m working on a few other things, but here they are and is!

Not really unsafe- goofy and some hints to who I’d ship him with for fun! (Go to end for ship expo ^^)

I just really had to get him done! So much fun with doodling my blue man! Good for warming up to the future! Also…my first in a hot while post! And it’s actually a drawing! Wowza!

Anyways, He has big ears, they twitch in tune to emotions and whatnot.

He also got a tail (I hc) because…why not.

Matt and Ekkiki were waiting to wash that ol’ trench coat and a uh…shrunk (the shrikening incident which was fixed by Onito’s grace)

Fun story on the Ozar/Plaxum/Varkon ship I have as a bonus

Ozar met Plaxum first during a meeting with the Mers. Side he had been tangled up with the war and a previous Bad relationship, he didn’t exactly have the new feeling click till he was already gone. Though he did return when needed. On those times and before the would leave with those accompanying him, he did get back into contact with Plaxum. Overtime he would become familiar with her and the culture of the mers, and she would become more aquatinted with his type. Besides the paladins (Lance and hunk) she hadn’t interacted with many ‘land dwellers’ though he does find them weird yet charming.

Time passing by, Ozar would end up forming a closer bond with her over her interest in cooking and sea gardening. Learning a bit from her as she would from him and the land above. Eventually Ozar and Plaxum would enter a secret relationship before Olia found out as Plaxum questioned her on what types of fish he’d enjoy eating raw. After that nothing out of the ordinary occured besides a few swimming and diving scares. Once Olkarion was sought to be the headquarters of the Voltron coalition, Plaxum would become one of the first Mer, to fully become land bound by her own choosing. To which Ozar helped her become more accustomed and have better access due to the limited mobility.

Allura and the paladins opted to take some of the fighters out to the space mall for a day trip. Plaxum hadn’t gone far from her home so she jumped at the option. With some time and a bunch of patience on both ends- Ozar and Plaxum were able to make it work.

After an accident with the mall cop(s) and Keith, Varkon would end up spotting the two from afar after they made a run to the Mall’s food court, taking the chance of meeting these two new, if not oddly placed faces, he would figure an idea on approach them. Mostly by scootering over and blurting out an offer of soda from Vrepit-Sal’s. Which was one of the areas Plaxum had been wanting to try anyways. In the end— Varkon got to meet the two a bit more and sort of made a connection between them. Resulting in the trio having more little ‘dates’ in secret before Varkon ended up having to leave his position due to the connection with them. (And when they realized who was being affiliated with)).

Varkon would end up sticking with Plaxum on Olkarion as some extra hands with her cooking for the refugees and coalition members. Ozar drops by often and keeps in constant communication with the two. When he’s able to he’s often seen trying to learn a bit of cooking from Plaxum—though often ends up with Varkon having to put out the resulting flames from his attempts of cooking. Overall they live a fairly uneventful live during the period with the Voltron coalition and it’s expansion over the falling Galra empire.

Just a little brainstorm, I wanna draw more because…well, I love to ship and just do fun stuff with this stuff. Also! Another note…Alfor/Thace is still there just got this done to clear my mind up.

Ngl I wanna go ahead with a freedom fighter centered Fanfic. Now....they need attention and they got potential, while I also would like to do the blades I think they just need attention.

I hardly find any (or I'm looking in the wrong places) for fighter CENTERED fanfictions. Especially for what I got going in my Lil pea-brain head. Already cooked up so many fanfic senrios and whatnot too, Mostly wing it w/o an outline (which might be a fault lol).

I have some HCs and Background for them, which is probably an AU thing ngl...but I have headcanons: Ozar and Olia being adoptive sibs and Te-osh their mother figure, Matt having meet N-7 after a galra ambush (and being among the first to encounter them), Freedom fighters being pretty tight-knit with many having much in common with one another, Ozar forgetting bout them dudes on that ice planet, Olia being a strong mouthed pilot, Matt has a bff group there, Matt is seen as an uncle figure by olia's kiddos, e.t.c. I have a lot.

I just think they are just...neat☆☆

Anyways, if I do anything with them, it's gonna be exclusively them (and Matt and maybe Pidge? Maybe a bit of Blade but, 5% lol).

If I get SUPER creative, it's an AU called 'Till the lights go out' mostly just...angst and sad angst. Still vld connected but changes here and there.

I got a lot of ideas, maybe I'll share some later on...dunno what anyone else thinks.

[DESCRIP]

After Voltrons disappearance, the pressure upon the Rebels begins to stir once more, especially once two of their planets are destroyed in retaliation to Voltron's efforts. After several months pass on with no word from Voltron or it's paladins a proposition is brought up by one of them.

The only problem to their solution: it was a mere legend.

Alternate universe (Season 2/3 major changes and other tidbits))

Where the Blade of Marmora has Keith in their arms after he parts Voltron once the Red Lion takes Lance as her own paladin and Allura moves to take the Blue Lion as her own.

Shiro isn't missing and continues to lead Voltron, though he is plagued with an odd and strong headache.

The rebels have yet to encounter Voltron or her paladins, only hearing word of its return after a few had joined the rebels and the Puigians are freed.

Texas (Krolia may have misheard him) lives. Simple as that...yep.

Antok, Ulaz, and Thace live.

Neptionis a hub for the rebels, and they do have a bit of a town/city under its surface due to how long they have been stationed there.

Kraydah is Te-osh's main base along with Ozar. Olia and Matt visit and base there often. ((Cold planet))

Funnily enough I’m working on three fanfic pieces, one for the rebel centered one and the other two for the royal blade AU one. Work is pretty much keeping me from doing a lot or posting but I am working on on stuff, my other projects are in lists for what comes out when and other, but I’m just trying to get these done before the end of this month. In note I hope I can get the one royal blade chapter and rebel one out.

I did end up changing my rebel fic to the other concept rather than the other one.

The rebel fic doesn’t contain some darker elements and hurt/some comfort. It’s an AU fic as well. It also does contain the paladins and blades, but If I were to list who is the center for them, it’s going to be Rebels, Keith, Blade of Marmora, paladins, e.t.c. Not the complete list of important but you should get some hint of it. Also, why Keith of all of them? Simple— he’s just an interesting dude (shrugs) I also just kinda of took it from some of my personal hc’s for him. Which is kind of switched up in this fic as well. But again, more focused on the rebels and their own characters and stories.

Maybe I’ll put some hint to what it will contain in the next post/reblog but for now it’s just this!

Fic character mains/focuses for the moment: Captain Olia, Lieutenant Ozar, Commander Te-osh, Matt holt, Keith, some oc characters(or just given character names lol), and other characters.
