Anyone want to help me make up what languages influenced the 'hybrid language' of the Bana-Mighdall?
That 'gh' is a PROBLEM. Greek, Nubian, Egyptian (Ancient and Coptic), Scythian, and Alanian all lack the necessary voiced fricatives or breathy stops (the sounds usually transliterated as 'gh'). The only languages in the area I can think of that might have matching sounds are Semitic, so maybe there are a bunch of Samaritan Amazons? (Or any other Semitic-speaking group.)
Or maybe they voiced some sounds while their creole developed? But creoles (mixed languages) tend to shrink their phoneme inventory to just the sounds shared between the languages, so it would be a bit odd.
I am TRYING to give bynames to my Historical DC Superheroes, and this stupid fake word is annoying me. What Greek or Coptic character am I supposed to use? It's a fake sound!

Letter 9: The People Who Have Been Guided - Revisiting the Work of OnlyLeigh
Peace be upon those who follow the right path. Which is to say, not just the Muslims: anybody who manifests the best qualities of Imam ‘Ali by being just, generous, and kind is following the right path, however imperfectly. Anybody who has had the Record revealed to them is a follower of the right path: I am inclined to believe Fred Donner when he says the Prophet’s religious community was pluralist in nature. And so, in addition to the People of the Recitation, the Uthmanic Bible recognizes three other Peoples of the Record, or Ahlul-Kitab:
The People of the Gospel, the Nazarenes, those who follow Prophet Jesus Christ, peace be upon him (Christians);
The People of the Tawrat, those who have been guided (الذين هادوا), the children of Prophet Israel (Ya’qub), the Judaeans, the people of Prophet Musa, peace be upon him (Jews);
The Sabians, who we must discuss another day.
Fuck the state of Israel, Zionists eat shit and eat shit forever, but I’m not gonna up and pretend that anti-Semitism isn’t a problem in the Muslim world and the Arabophone world; I’m not fucking stupid. It means nothing for whether or not the Zionist occupation has the right to ethnically cleanse Palestinians and force them out of their homeland, but it’s also a fact we need to acknowledge, as Muslim anti-Semitism is also a key tool in Zionist propaganda. I want to make my stance clear on the issue before I say:
As a kid, I was the only Muslim I knew at my school. Deadass. Only Sudani I knew at my school. Deadass. Only Mahasi I knew in my whole city. Deadass. I remember one time when I was fucking ten, this Japanese kid was telling this white kid he was descended from samurai, and when I brought up that I was descended from Nubian royals (no less than that Japanese kid was a samurai descendant, anyway), the white kid was clear what he thought about that:
“Who cares?”
Yeah, living in that kind of environment does shit to you, especially if you’re also the only gay kid you know. Not that you know you’re gay: ooh, I took way too long to accept that part of myself. Thankfully, I had a portal out of the fundamentalist community I’d been trapped in by life circumstances: a window to the world beyond Orthodox Sunnism, Evangelical Christianity, and Mormon Christianity.
YouTube. Alhamdulillah for the internet.
This is where I encountered my first queer Person of the Record. I doubt they remember, but when I was in like middle school or some shit, I wrote a comment on one of their videos and totally lost my shit (or “fangirled”) when they responded. You see, I got into superheroes, fantasy, all the nerd shit that eventually led to the formation of fandoms on the 2010s internet: one of the places so many 2010s kids would find the tools to unpack and understand their own true identity. Tumblr culture, in other words. And I got into one of Tumblr culture’s golden age YouTubers: Leigh Motherfucking Lahav.
You know, as a kid, Musa was like always my favorite prophet. Got me into learning Hebrew, which, you know, pissed my Sudani fam off, and it’s not like the white people I knew were any less anti-Semitic. But for me personally, I always related to the Jewish kids: I mean, we both had to look at the pork dishes at lunch like “aww,” and we would have to step out of class when the real white people would do their Christmas shit or whatever the fuck. Also, you know, Judaism is like the fucking backbone of Christianity and Islam, and even though I prefer the latest rendition, I’ve always had a soft spot for those who have been guided among the People of the Book. I’ve never lost my interest in the histories of the Ethiopian, Mizrahi, and Ashkenazi Jews who, at various points, made parts of Sudan their home.
And so, I got into this Jewish nerd culture YouTuber, and even though I grew up around someone whose response to my saying “you can be anti-Zionist and not be anti-Semitic” was “anti-Semitic is such a Jewish word,” I related to Leigh Lahav a fucking ton. I loved that shit. So today, I’m taking a bowl of the duku, kicking back, and rewatching some classics and posting some random observations. Get tucked in, besties.
youtube
Okay yeah I’m pretty fucking basic, so what? This video is fucking superb, are you kidding me? Could a 2010s shaab-of-the-homosexual-mustaqbal/future-homosexual-of-America possibly ask for more than a parody of Mean Girls set in Lord of the Rings? By the time I’d watched that video I think I’d only seen the Desolution of Smaug because Robbie dragged me to it, I didn’t watch the actually good Tolkienverse movies till way later. But anyways, looking back, definitely parallels between the Bilbo/tall sexy elf relationship and the relationship I had with this one kid in PE class, very queer. I approve.
I mean, frankly, this is better than the Mean Girls movie. I mean, the Mean Girls movie is a classic of 2010s culture but it just does not age well, its sexual ethics (which are pretty core to its comedy) are just…weird in hindsight? Much more uncomfortable? Also sucks that Janis Ian is fucking Lebanese and it’s nothing more than a punchline.
I mean, in this trailer, there’s much more romantic tension between Bilbo and the leader of the Elf Plastics and emphasis on that, which I think would make for a much more interesting story rather than the straight mess that Mean Girls is in reality. The scene of breaking down the cliques is also just so iconic and it’s such a wonderful format, and Lahav’s version is frankly one of my favorite renditions of it: recently, I saw the Ms. Marvel show do it and while it was accurate to the Muslim-American masjid experience it was also not funny. But that’s just me. I watched the show high, anyway.
Anyways, next:
youtube
Leftist takes on the didactic closer aside, this is another fucking classic. You see, I have a soft spot for Frozen and you can all get the fuck over it, Disney fans, it is just a good fucking movie. Maybe, anyway. I only saw the first half because one of my teachers was sick of preteens that day or something (we started the movie in class and never finished it). I just didn’t care back then, I was just sick of hearing “Let It Go” because who doesn’t have that collective trauma haha. But you know, I loved learning languages growing up and one of my favorite ways to learn was by listening to translated Disney music. It’s always an interesting experience, and guys, guys: there are Singlish dubs of Frozen on YouTube, okay? And the songs I’ve heard from the movie (never listened to the full soundtrack) do indeed slap. I listen to songs from Frozen more than Moanna, I’m just saying.
Anyways, I’ve also never seen Orange is the New Black. But I fucking loved this trailer, okay, I fucking love Disney musicals, the in-jokes are perfect, Elsa and Mulan seem like they’d be a great match, it’s a cut above the endless sea of Frozen parodies that inundated the 2010s internet.
youtube
Basically me with You Will Die at Twenty, and it still was sort of underwhelming (I still think it’s one of the better Sudani movies tho, fight me). Anyways, got into OnlyLeigh during my MCU phase and man did this video hit, back in the 2010s, there was so much promise ahead of us! We didn’t even know No Way Home could be a thing yet! Back when I had something other than a dreary sense of fatigue at the MCU, finding my opinion of the older films souring now that I have knowledge of the breadth of their cultural impact. But I mean, like also, who gives a fuck it’s superheroes. This is funny, it’s charming, it’s relatable, it’s also the reason I avoid watching movie trailers now if I can help it. Spoilers don’t ruin something, but I do like to be fucking surprised.
Anyways, this video takes on a new meaning for me as an Ace Attorney fan. Maybe rewatching it high was not a great idea considering Lahav goes through what academics like to call “The 3DS trilogy AA fandom cycle,” for the five of you who know what I’m talking about.
youtube
This is really just my relationship with Jesus Christ Superstar. As much as Andrew Lloyd Webber is really really not great (to put it generously), since I was in fucking high school I was a Jesus Christ Superstar Evangelical and nobody will ever fucking take that away from me. Anyways, honestly, I love this love letter to the culture where some people were just like “okay, whatever, this is cool I guess” and some had become qualified MCU researchers (some of whom are now starring in the MCU, Iman Vellani!) Anyways, even though OnlyLeigh is our tragic villain/protagonist in this story, frankly, I think this video also serves as a decent argument for why if you’re gonna have a movie night at your house, put subtitles on and let people talk. Otherwise just go to the theatre because sitting on somebody’s couch in silence for 2 hours is boring as fuck, no matter what’s playing.
youtube
There was a time in my life where I was only friends with people who would have gotten every reference here. Frankly, some of the best friends I’ve ever had, lmao. It’s really interesting to see fandoms form as an “identity” back in that era of the internet, feels like seeing the beginnings of it all, a whole world of literature, shared narratives, and rituals people were building communities around. It’s fun to look at the parallels between fandoms and various Abrahamic religious sects: sharing principles, behaviors, rituals, and stories, but also heavily delineated by what their specific focuses were. You know, Christianity is just the Jesus fandom, Islam is the Qur’an and Hadith fandom, etc. etc. etc. I don’t mean this as an insult: actually, I strongly believe in the legitimacy of the literary culture of fucking fandom. Not to say it’s all good, or even most of it is, but it’s impact on culture is fucking immense. Just cause the adults don’t like it doesn’t mean it wasn’t fucking formative to us queer nerds who could only find people who liked what we liked on the internet, haha. Anyways, funny vid, really ironic to see the fear of the MCU fans here considering the MCU has the global cultural influence of the fucking Roman Empire at this point. Here, “fangirl” is the equivalent of mu’min, Believer: you can be a Sherlock Believer, Doctor Who Believer, you’re all People of the Record (Tumblr), who contribute to certain literary genres like scriptural exegesis (fanfiction). Sometimes there’s crossover between Peoples of the Record, sometimes there’s great animosity, both outside and within. You see what I’m saying?
youtube
Shit, this is 7 years old?? Age of Ultron??? Oh, so, so innocent. Weird, now I sympathize more with the Star Wars fans in this video than the pro-MCU headmaster is really just the CEO of the Disney corporation’s Prophet and Messenger. Like that speech freaks me the fuck out, what the hell, that’s too real, you’re right, Leigh, I had to watch Ms. Marvel! I knew I was going to hate it, I couldn’t stop myself!!
Ant-Man is still totally skippable though, really not a great MCU movie. Also, alhamdulillah the DC Universe still has not taken off, تبارك الذي بيده الملك وهو على كل شيء قدير
youtube
As somebody who’s been forced to explain Eid to every flavor of Christian fundamentalist rural white America has to offer, my sympathy for the Jewish characters here is unreal. Fuck, as somebody who’s told people they’re Shi’i Muslim and later get asked about Hinduism, this video still fucking hits. Honestly, fantastic educational tactic. Very funny, great way to demonstrate the parallels between traditional spirituality and magic (ultimately, just unregulated, forbidden, yet effective spirituality from the Abrahamic standpoint).
The content of OnlyLeigh spoke to me because Leigh Lahav was the only queer-positive non-Christian Person of the Record I knew who was also into the MCU - and even then, only as an audience member. It’s not just the humor that speaks to my pop cultural context, but also the themes that always hit for somebody who feels the alienation that’s endemic to just not being born in the best place in the traditional Abrahamic gender/sexual hierarchy. Plus, shit is funny. Animation is cute and solid, the art style is iconic, if I weren’t so into iconography right now, I’d probably let it inspire some new cartoon-style drawings.
Anyways, thanks a ton, OnlyLeigh. You really helped! Peace be upon you, and all others who follow the right path.
But not in a “can we all get along” way, more like a “isn’t the internet fucking great sometimes?” way.

The Boys: Diabolical thoughts:
Episode 1-
an interesting start! Oddly charming despite the context, I was happy for the laser baby.
Episode 2-
this one was... better than I thought it would be? it reminded me of the Superduper team in the comics, like basically kids with shitty powers, except of course these kids are more cynical and (justifiably) want to get back at their parents for what happened to them. Definitely very funny, really liked the Narrator especially.
Episode 3-
Probably the one I was most looking forward to, written by the original creator of the comics and directed by Giancarlo Volpe. There was no way this one wouldn’t have been awesome, and it definitely was, it felt like it could have been a lost issue of the comic translated into animation form. The characters all looked accurate, Hughie was voiced by the actor who he was modeled off of, the concept felt very true to the universe. Great stuff.
Episode 4-
I don’t have any strong feelings about this one? It was kind of cute, the animation style was nice/aesthetically pleasing, the concept was pretty interesting. Felt like they were going for a dark twist on a romcom.
Episode 5-
Kind of Panty and Stocking vibes if I’m going to be completely honest? Don’t have strong feelings about this one either, I liked that it had the Deep, glad that he got what was coming to him.
Episode 6-
...you know what, I remembered that Nubian Prince was created for the show and meant to be a take on Black Panther (probably put in because he had a popular movie, when while the comic was coming out he would’ve been kind of obscure), and I also remembered that Nubia existed and was this universe’s version of Storm, but I didn’t think they would be married even though their inspirations were once married as well. This one was fun, I really liked Groundhawk, perfectly voiced by John DiMaggio.
Episode 7-
this one. wow. I don’t even know what to say about it? it looked beautiful, it was tragic, it made sense for the universe, it definitely fit the medium of animation (like you couldn’t tell this story in live-action probably, or at least couldn’t tell it as well as they did here) and I just really loved it. Exactly as good as everyone said it was.
Episode 8-
so I guess this episode implies that Black Noir isn’t a clone of Homelander, as is the case in the comics? Like maybe it’s the other way around, and Homelander is the clone? But anyway, this episode was really interesting, and I gladly would have taken a whole episode just focusing on Homelander’s flashbacks to his growing up, or maybe also a “Trinity” episode with young Homelander, Black Noir, and Maeve teaming up for the first time as the soon-to-be-formed Seven’s Big Three superheroes. gosh. would have taken a Maeve episode in general, really. Regardless, I think Homelander is a great character even if he’s a terrible person, and I liked seeing younger versions of him and Stillwell especially.

T’Challa was finishing up his shower when his Kimoyo beads started to light up, signaling that she was in need of something.
The young king quickly finished dressing and walked out of the large bathroom to find his girlfriend fast asleep, her body sprawled out on the bed. She was completely oblivious to the fact that her own bracelet was flashing away.
He cracked a small smile. She was exhausted.
He stealthy made his way out of the room and across the hall, entering the spacious nursery that was adorned with all types of lavish decor.
Sure enough, she was wide awake, those big brown eyes of her searching the room, widening when they landed on him.
“Sam Isipho,” the young father started out with a large grin on his handsome face. “What are you doing up?”
The princess responded by continuing to babble, lifting her arm and wagging it around.
T’Challa chuckled and leaned over the crib, gently cradling the heir to the throne in his strong arms. “Hello to you too, inkosazana wam omncinane.” (my little princess)
Bunme stared up at her father, eyeing him as though he was the best thing that she’d ever rested her eyes on. Her eyes, those big, brown, addictive orbs reminded him so much of her mother. Yet, they also reminded him of himself. Everything about her at her tender age reminded him of Nala. She was so tiny, weighing exactly five lbs when she was born, so fragile, yet her smile was so contagious, always eliciting a grin from anyone who was important or close enough to even be in her presence.
It was almost foreign and inhuman, the intensity of his love for his daughter. From the moment that he held her, he was captivated. In her, he saw unadulterated innocence and from there the stringent desire to always protect her. The world could burn to ashes and yet he’d never let a flame touch her.
Or Nala.
“Are you hungry?” He found himself asking as he walked over to place her in his crib so that he could fix her a bottle. However, as soon as he started to move to put her down, her smile dropped and the whining commenced. “You are spoiled, you know that?” Yet, T’Challa found himself bringing her back, her smile reappearing from her victory.
It was true. He could not deny that he’d already spoiled his firstborn. Whenever Bunme started to make sounds that even alluded to the onset of crying, he was at her side, lifting her into his arms, rocking her until she started to talk a hole in his head.
At one only month, he’d already had the designers constructing her room for when she transitioned from a crib to a regular bed.
He had her playroom finished before Nala even entered the third trimester.
“And just who do you think is to blame for that?” T’Challa looked over to see the love of his life leaning against the door. “What with you coddling her every second of the day.”
T’Challa chuckled and allowed Bunme to play with his index finger. At only a month, her motor skills and overall development was off the chart. It was still to be determined if she’d inherited her mother’s powers, but he had an inkling that he’d certainly passed down some of his abilities.
Just the thought put a large smile on his face.
“I make no apologies, sthandwa sam.” T’Challa watched her walk over, the sway of her hips momentarily distracting the young ruler. Obviously, she’d yet to shed the weight from carrying their child, but he had no complaints. The additional pounds only further added to his already insatiable desire to slide between her thick legs whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Nala rolled her eyes. “Of course you don’t.” Bunme’s eyes easily darted over to Nala, the baby smiling broadly and resuming her babbling, greeting her mother. “Why would you?” Reluctantly, T’Challa allowed her to take Bunme from his, the absence of her small, warm body against him immediately noticeable. “She already has you wrapped around her tiny fingers.”
“She is my first child.” T’Challa brushed aside her comments. “What do you expect of me?”
“She is your only child, T’Challa.” Nala suddenly narrowed her eyes. “That I know of, at least.”
T’Challa chuckled and led his family over to the rocking chair, sitting down before pulling his twointo his lap. “She is. For now.”
Nala rolled her eyes as Bunme continued to talk away, her eyes searching for T’Challa as his voice filled her mini ears. “Barely past a month, and here you are discussing more children.”
T’Challa pushed her faux locs to the side and placed a chaste kiss against the back of her neck. “And the problem with that is?”
“You were not the one who was wobbling around and unable to see her feet for nine months.”
“Technically, you only started to really….expand-”
“Expand?” Nala couldn’t help her smile as the infant continued to talk. “And this is why I studied an area revolving around children and you-”
“Now have a child,” he interrupted, his arms going around her as she reclined into his chest. “A beautiful baby girl.” He murmured, his hand moving to lightly caress a sighing Bunme’s head. “Because of you.”
Nala grew quiet as she briefly recollected over the past almost two years. If anyone told her that she’d be the mother of a superhero/king’s child, living with him after being disowned by her own parents…...she’d call them insane.
T’Challa was a thorn in her side from the moment she laid eyes on the arrogant SOB. But then, they’d been forced together, required to interact for longer periods of time. And she started to see him, not the playboy persona that he played into a little too well. She began to know and understand the man behind all of the titles, and she liked it.
She liked him.
That “like” leading into a sexual relationship which quickly complicated matters as she realized that her feelings were becoming more than just profound interest. Even though it took her some time to realize it, she found herself falling for the man and him, her.
Then that fateful day when she urinated on a stick and discovered a plus sign, the test confirmed as she made a doctor’s appointment and walked out with a prescription for prenatal vitamins.
She’d been terrified, frightened to her core, locking herself in her apartment for almost an entire weekend as she debated on what to do.
She knew that at 22, almost 23, she was still rather young to be a mother, but she wasn’t quite sure if she wanted to terminate the pregnancy. It was certainly her body, her choice, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that she at least owed it to him to inform him that she was carrying his baby.
However, she felt obligated to first tell her parents, the young woman surprised, yet not, when they coldly informed her that she was no longer their daughter and forbidden from ever returning to Niganda.
Her heart was shattered from such a reaction. Yet, she wasn’t taken completely off guard.
After all, her parents were never the ‘loving’ type.
Next, she was forced to tell T’Challa.
It was difficult to open up, but she’d done it, crying into his comforting arms about how sorry she was, about how she never intended for it happen, how she didn’t know what to do.
Nala wasn’t expecting a specific reaction, not really, but she was certainly taken by surprise when he gingerly cupped her face.
“Be honest with me,” his voice was so soft, so gentle, so warm. “Do you want this baby?” Four years her senior, she was always amazed by the maturity he could display at times.
She still remembered how easily her answer came out, without barely any thought, she responded from her heart. “I do.”
He didn’t even try to hide his relief at her answer but quickly moved his fingers to wipe at her tears. “Then I promise you, on my father’s grave, I will be with you every step of the way. You nor our child will ever feel alone nor be it because I will take care of you, the both of you.”
Though she’d never admitted it to him, that moment, when he poured out his heart and pledged his dedication to her was the moment that she realized she was in love with the then Prince of Wakanda.
And he’d kept to his promise.
He and she both finished up their time at Oxford before he brought her to his home, Nala being the “first” outsider to learn the truth of what she and everyone else thought to be a place of destitution.
T’Challa had been thrilled to not only introduce her to his country but his family. Nala immediately being received with open arms from almost everyone except his mother. Queen Mother greeted her with a certain aloofness that T’Challa quickly handled by informing her that she was carrying his heir and would be treated with the respect that was required of such a woman. Not to mention, she was still, technically, a princess.
He also suggested that if his mother could not accept Nala and unborn child, then she was more than welcome to relocate to another of their dwellings outside of the palace because he was not going to tolerate unnecessary negativity plaguing Nala’s pregnancy.
And he meant it.
Nala could not recall one incident where he wasn’t either catering to her every need or having one of their servants ensure that she was as comfortable as possible.
He was always feeling her belly, having full on conversations with their unborn child even when Nala would glare as Bunme kicked her for hours on end just to hear his voice. If her back hurt, he would massage it. Same with her feet. Morning sickness was made slightly more bearable as he was almost always there to hold her hair and rub her back. When her body ached, he’d run lavish baths for her. When she was hit with a mood swing (which happened on more than one occasion), he’d calmly dish out whatever she threw his way, even offering to take her somewhere to get her mind off whatever was bothering her.
T’Challa’s dedication to her extended to their daughter, Bunme Udaku, as soon as she left her mother’s womb.
Nala could still recall the undeniable glow of pride, love, and adoration upon the king’s face as he held his little girl for the first time.
Tears were shed by all parties present, including the parents.
“Great Bast, she’s so tiny!” Shuri had aww’d over the newborn.
“Oh, T’Challa, she is divine.” Hawla sniffled as she held onto her husband’s arm.
“Yes. Glory to Hanuman, it seems as though she’s taken after her mother.” A chuckling M’Baku commented before being harshly scolded by his wife.
“I guess she is kinda cute,” Erik shrugged, his arm wrapped around Nakia. “Even if she just made it that much harder for me to take the throne.”
“Son, you were never going to see that throne.” N’Jobu chuckled, a wide smile on his handsome face.
“He speaks truth,” Nakia had giggled as Erik lightly slapped her butt.
“It is truly a blessing and an honor to have another addition added to the royal family,” Okoye provided, a small and graceful upon the fierce warrior’s face.
Yes. Nala may have lost her parents and even her country, but she’d certainly been compensated, earning a family.
“Have I ever told you how much I love and appreciate you?” She asked softly and saw that Bunme’s eyes were starting to flutter as she attempted to fight her sleepiness. She noticed that her precious baby girl was either extremely nosy or simply already deeply attached to her parents as she always wanted to be up and awake whenever they were in her presence.
“You have given me my first child, our child.” He replied quietly. “Nothing I do could ever add up to that, my love.”
Nala blinked away her tears and looked over her shoulder, smiling warmly. “You really want that second child, eh?”
He chuckled and frowned in disappointment as she got up to place a now sleeping Bunme back in her crib.
“We will certainly produce another heir,” he exclaimed with the boldness befit for a king, standing behind Nala as she put their daughter back in her bed. “But not until we are married, and you are officially my queen.”
Nala unsuccessfully attempted to hide her smile. T’Challa was always expressing his intentions to marry her, making statements as though it were already set in stone.
And while she was certainly not going to decline him should he ask her such a thing, it was always entertaining to play with him.
She turned around, her back against the crib. “Oh?” Her hands reached out to rest on his bare chest. “And what makes you so sure that I will accept?”
He smiled and brought his hands to her hips, pulling her into him. “Because you are home, in you lies my heart, and with her,” he nodded his head over to Bunme. “-my soul.”
Nala dropped her head and smiled through the tears clouding her vision. The man was just too perfect at times. She truly was in absolute love with him.
“You know….” her fingers trailed down his chest. “Just because we cannot actually produce an heir right now….does not mean we can’t try.” She looked up over her eyelashes to see him battling with hesitation.
“She just went to sleep-”
“-which gives us at least two hours.” She finished with a smirk.
T’Challa smashed his lips on hers, quickly lifting her up bridal style.
“I suppose a quickie will suffice.” He smirked, and she moaned as he led them out of the room and into their chambers.
Nala had no complaints and could not imagine her life any other way than what it was.
She was truly home.
---
A/N: There you go! A lot of people always comment about how T’Challa would have been/reacted/felt had Nala just told him she was pregnant from the jump.
So, I figured that I’d treat you guys to this little AU scenario. I hope you like it, and I’d be willing to do a part 2 with Bun Bun as a toddler, if anyone is interested! :D
Again, this is just my small way of thanking you all for always being so supportive of me and my works. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My theory is that Ryan is a very special and rare case.
Stormfront said that Ryan was the first "naturally born" superhero, and with the amount of sex that every single supe since WWII has had, that seems odd.
We also see in the (cannon? maybe?) Diabolical short that Maya Nubian, the daughter of two supes, has no powers. And Zoe Nueman, the daughter of Victoria Nueman, had V injected into her by her own mother, so we for sure know that she didn't have powers beforehand.
So, Ryan has a mutation, one that caused the V in his system to activate upon conception. Because he was born with V in his system, his genes from Homelander's side reacted to the V the exact same way, rather than uniquely like Homelander's.
I think this also explains how Vought was able to make Becca keep Ryan. Because this was a revolutionary step in V, and could potentially take Homelander down
So I was wondering...
If powers get passed down which is implied with Ryan, who seems to have the same abilities as Homelander. Why doesn't Homelander have the same abilities as Soldier Boy?
There are several possible explanations for this:
The writers simply didn't think of that
Homelander's abilities are the result of combining the genes of his biological parents, meaning that the mixture of the gene pool of Soldier Boy and Homelander's mother created Homelander's powers. Which means that Homelander's mother is/was also a very strong Supe (and did he find out about his mother? He was able to get information about his dad, too, soooo...)
Vought somehow managed to create Homelander's powers in the lab and gave them to him somehow
Soldier Boy is not Homelander's dad. And Vought set them both up by manipulating the files Homelander found in the archive. And the person (whoever that was??) telling him about that lied to Soldier Boy (how did Soldier Boy find out about that, anyway?). For whatever reason that would be
I wonder if this ever gets addressed in the show. Or if we as the audience are just meant to take that as it is, and should just be impressed with how powerful they all are.

Hey!? 👋🏾👋🏾Can you see me.?!👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾 wooo-hoooo, heyyyy, over here, right in front of you... 🗣 Am I invisible.?!.?!.?!
🎶 Black men do ya ❤️️ me.?! Are you riding 🚗.?! Say you'll never ever leave from beside me. Cause I want ya && I need ya && I'm down for ya always... -Drake's tune from "in my feelings"
This past Saturday (August 25, 2018) I went to 4th street live in Louisville Ky (first time ever going, but it definitely won't be my last😊) && saw Nelly❤️️❤️️ in concert-- to say he least, it was AMAZING!!! He is an amazing entertainer && just as FINE in person as he is on TV!
There was a sea of people all joined together in one place having fun, enjoying th concert and giving off good energy... no fighting, no shooting- just fun, but one thing that I did notice that made me have a bad taste in my mouth was that some; not all, but definitely most of the black men there, when near us black women looked at us like we were foreign creatures with 6 heads, or right past us or through us as if we weren't even there or simply invisible... When I say invisible, I don't mean like the superhero type invisible, I mean like in a sociocultural way.
I mean, don't get me wrong, to each his own && if you specifically like just white women, Asian women, or whatever ethnic group besides black women-- do you booboo, but PLEASE just acknowledge our presence in some way... a simple smile goes a very long way😊
As a black woman, I personally love EVERYTHING about a Black man, but I often times feel like it's a lost cause simply because I often times don't feel like I'm even seen, noticed, or even exsist. Malcom X told NO LIES when he said that the most disrespected person in America was/is the Black Woman. When it comes yo black women, everyone is checking for the girls who looks like the black girl, talks like the black girl, wears her hair like the black girl, but no one wants the girl who is actually black....
The Kardashian's && Jenner's are praised for their high priced plastic used to emulate Nubian features- they give people the opportunity to "date black" without actually dating black". We (black women) are judged based on extreme stereotypes rather than being assessed as individuals, but let me give you some stats....
We are the MOST EDUCATED 📚🎓 group in the U.S. according to the National Center for Education statistics.
Between 2009-2010, black women earned
68% of associate's degrees
66% of bachelor's degrees
71% of master's degrees
65% of all doctorate degrees
By both race && gender, a higher percentage of black women (9.7%) is enrolled in college than any other group.
8.7% Asian women
7.1% white women
6.1% white men
So with that being said, WE'RE INTELLEGENT, WE'RE BUILDING EMPIRES && WE'RE TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS!!! This proves that we are more than what is portrayed of us on tv && social media, we don't all just pop our lips, curse every other breath, roll our necks, and cause drama; yetM we still don't get love from he ones we birthed, love && ride for the most... So keep sleeping on us if you want to because 💎diamonds💎 are made from high amounts of pressure-- So watch US "shine bright like a diamond💎" -Rihanna's voice

I HATE SUPERHERO MOVIES
I hate this stupid fucking trends so much I just want it to be over and done with as soon as possible.
It's the same fucking story every fucking time. Heroes fight bad version of themselves and makes unfunny jokes.
It's so boring and tiresome that I just don't see the appeal at all.
Now with Black Panther in the mix it throws out another pet peeve of mine. "Hey, you're black. Come see this black movie." "Yo soul brother, dig this hip Afrikan film." "Feel the power of this fine work of raw Nubian art".
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOU'RE BULLSHIT MOVIE!!!! NO I DON'T CARE IF THE PEOPLE IN IT ARE BLACK!!! I DON'T LIKE SUPERHEROES NORMALLY SO WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I'LL LIKEONE WITH MY SKINTONE? MAYBE YOU'RE JUST RACIST!!
The worst part is these stupid things are so popular there are barely any alternatives and most of it is dumb, loud, mean-spirited action schlock.
I just want a movie thst with touch my heart, make me laugh, and think you know? But I guess most people just want random noise and glossy CG.
Marvel and DC can both eat it!!! I don't care !!!!
