so uh, One Good Friday. I Have Made A Purchase. Said Purchase Has Recently Arrived.

and then after some Actual Errands i had to do so i can get the package as far away from my family's proximity. I opened it.

and i am instantly greeted by This face and instantly lost composure.

That's not all. After a few moments of giving my live commentary to my friendgroup (while said friendgroup is egging me to get the V1 bodypillow as well) and regaining composure in my bedroom. I decided to unfold it and lose my sanity once more...

THEORY TIME WITH TAAG AGAIN:

Clown ISN’T the murderer, despite what people think. Here’s why I say that alongside connection back to my first theory!

As said in my last theory post, I said Clown was trapped at the Whitepine Estate, in some kind of servitude. The details are unsure as of yet, but I think it has something to do with the war and has connections to Reddoons. It really comes from his dialogue on the way to Emberton, in which he says "what else can you do?" to Ivory, saying he works hard under the estate.

Nonetheless, taking from originally displayed with Reddoons and applying it to the conversation between Ivory and Clown might explain why Clown acted the way he did when Ivory asked him if any of the Whitepine residents were responsible for Mysti.

Before I deep dive, I want to mention that when acting in minecraft, there's only really a few things that can give away to what a character is actually feeling. In order:

Tone of voice: the biggest contributor to how we can interpret a situation where there is no facial expressions to work off of.

Body Language: surprisingly enough, body language can be really intuitive in minecraft, depending on jumping, crouching, or head turns people can convey a lot.

Context: Depending on the current situation, past scenes, and the two other aspects stated above, one can manage to interpret a situation without facial expressions.

Let’s begin with tone, if you listen back, he’s assertive but not angry. Nor is he particularly afraid for himself, if he was, there would be a lot more fumbling with words, wavering, and most of all he still sounds decently calm. Clown is forceful with his words in a way that really can only be applied to making a point clear.

He isn't telling Ivory that he didn't do it, he's actually saying, "don't talk about it".

Not a few seconds later, and the rest of Clown's dialogue continues to present that.

“Nobody at Whitepine would do such a thing”

"There will be no discussion of that, understood?"

"I want the thought to be gone from your mind" (he empathizes on the word thought too)

These three statements separately actually tell us a lot about what Clown could actually be saying here.

“Nobody at Whitepine would do such a thing” -> Don't confront anybody at the estate about this.

"There will be no discussion of that, understood?" -> Don't talk about it, not with anybody

"I want the thought to be gone from your mind" -> Don't worry about it, and again, don't bring it up

To me, Clown is telling Ivory that he doesn't want her talking about this at the Whitepine Estate. He shut her down to bring up a point to not mention it at Whitepine. Why? Lest she gets in trouble or accused herself.

Ivory really is the prime suspect of the murder, the detectives are suspicious of her behaviour, having little memory of before, and she arrived basically the day or so before the murder was committed.

Clown doesn't think it's her because she was with organizing mail when the body was discovered. Sure the murder could have happened beforehand, but let's face it, there was a pretty short window of time, considering that the servants would be moving around a lot.

Alongside that, based on the conversation from Ep 1 between Minute and Clown, Clown doesn't believe that she would, she follows orders to the 9s and didn't eat without being told to.

Which brings me to the point that Clown, is attempting to keep Ivory out of the trouble, MAYBE because a semi-similar situation has led to Clown falling under the continued servitude of Whitepine.

But TAAG, this is basically bullshit, you're pulling Clown's possible care for Ivory out of your ass-

HE DOES CARE!! You wanna know why? In both Ep 1 and 3, Clown has shown his care!

Remember his surprise that she didn’t eat? It’s brought up again, after this conversation, when they are driving back from Emberton.

Alongside that, it wouldn't seem suspicious to Ivory if he didn't even tell her that because what connection does that have to Clown being the murderer? None!

So there was no reason for Clown to say anything about her needing to eat dinner, but he does anyway.

"Remember to eat dinner," <- You softy Clown.

ALSO.

Look at Clown's body language! Head down, and he turned away. There is like a 4-second-long clip (which doesn't seem like much, especially for Whitepine, but the scene is still notable) where it's shown of the quiet afterwards between Clown and Ivory.

This is not the behaviour of a murderer who just deflected a person questioning who the murderer could be. This is somebody lost in thought, he's thinking.

And he isn't thinking about how Ivory is seeking out who the murderer is. It's as if he's thinking about the general safety of the estate, which is not safe right now. Reminder, they are in a casket shop, buying a casket.

Even when telling her to not talk or think about it, his head still remains on a tilt down, if he wanted to scare her into not talking about it, he would have looked her in the face. Again forceful, but not angry, more concerned than anything else. Which his concern shows itself later on when he tells her to eat dinner and was presented from Ep 1 at his surprise that Ivory didn't eat lunch.

And finally, why I don’t think Clown is the murderer is actually pretty simple: It’s too predictable.

So far, Whitepine has taken us on multiple twists and turns within the first few episodes, with the first episode ending in a murder, which was a surprise and a cliffhanger.

“The butler did it” is too predictable for something like Whitepine, and I don’t think it’s a double-cross situation in which we don’t think it’s the butler because it’s too predictable, and then the butler did it, because again it feels too easy.

So far, Ivory has made us think. All the arg searching and theming of Whitepine itself has made us search and think about what we are watching. And while Clown enjoys being the villain (look at him he’s everywhere) I think Ivory would want us to think more if we wanted to find out who killed Mysti.

Oh? You want to know who I think who (or what actually) is behind the murder?

It's something to do with the woods.

The long shots of the area throughout all three episodes, alongside the mentions of "The Hunt" by Zam in Ep 1, the woods scenes. There is so much reference to the woods being dangerous and wrong that the murder is more likely to be correlated to it.

Not caused, correlated. Obviously a tree isn't going to uproot itself and murder Mysti.

But what is in correlation to the woods is Ebony.

I feel, personally, that the woods have correlation to Ebony, in which either she is the woods, or created the woods, or is in the woods, having influence over Whitepine.

Before I edited this I said Ebony was the cause, which is piss poor wording because I meant Ebony wasn't the direct murderer, more like she has connection to the murderer.

Ebony already has connections to Whitepine. Ivory has had Whitepine in the works for a while now. Unsure if actually confirmed, but I've heard for around 2 years now.

Ebony was introduced 2 years ago on Ivory's second channel, and appears on and off afterwords.

Alongside the findings of two more ARG videos (is that even what the hell you call them? lmao), all with connections to both Ebony as a main character, and Whitepine as a set?

Also, a detail in all of Ivory's self-composed music (which I listen to all the time btw), is that they all have tree names as their titles.

As we know, both Ebony and Ivory are technically named after materials. And Ebony is this:

Hardwood. Wood is obviously found in trees, and a tree mentioned from this small blurb of a Wikipedia article is persimmon.

Tree and plant naming theming has been consistent with Whitepine so far, especially in the songs. I'm calling it, a song is going to be called "Persimmon" and when that day comes I'm going to go apeshit.

Also, with the general eeriness of the woods mentioned, it would be odd if it wasn't capitalized on later.

Now I can finally reveal what I've been up to for these last months...

I'M MOVING TO JAPAN ✨ Osaka, to be more precise (hi Majima)!

I'm going there now on June 26 to study and improve my japanese so I can make my comics and doujinshis in JP too! I'm gonna stay there for at least 2 years but my plan is to stay there for more time or even permanently... Let's see what the future will hold! Like a lot of us, I always had a lot of admiration for japanese culture, art and language, and visiting Japan has been one of my biggest dreams since I was little and I can't believe it's becoming real 🥺💕 (living in a 3rd world country is almost impossible to travel abroad lol)

Since I have to be there in one month and I'm moving to a whole different country, you can already imagine how busy I am setting everything up (visa, flight tickets, renting apartment, taking online tests for my classes, medical appointments, etc etc etc) xD I can't tell yet how my art making process and posting schedule will be affected during the month of June but I'll do my best to keep working on 80s Goromi doujinshi during this time because it's very important to me 😤

Yamaguchi wakes up slowly, eyes halfway open, naked body warm. And then he remembers what happened. The muscles in his body all tense at once, and it takes every fiber of his being to stay still. No no no no no. That hadn't happened. Shit. That hadn't happened, right?

But it had. His palm is resting on the soft skin of your hip and despite his best efforts he's squeezing lightly, so fucking nervous, and you're squirming toward him, still asleep, smiling softly, and it had, it had happened, oh god, it had.

Fuck. His ears are ringing with anxiety. What had happened? What had happened? He hadn't drank nearly enough last night for this to possibly have fucking happened.

And the information floods his mind as you nuzzle closer to his chest, your skin flush against his, a soft kiss where your mouth meets his shoulder. You, Tsukki, Tsukki breaking up with you — meanly, meaner than was necessary. You, Yamaguchi, and Tsukki, best friends, best friends since freshman year and Tsukki dating you and Yamaguchi shutting up and enduring it and you feeling tired of Tsukki's pretentiousness and his mean jokes and you telling Yamaguchi about it and Yamaguchi telling Tsukki about it and instead of fixing it making it worse and then you. You. YOU.

You with no more Tsukki, crying into his shoulder, and saying you just want to fuck someone. You're not even angry, you knew this was coming, you just want to fuck someone to forget. Tsukki just treated you like he did any other adoring idiot who was obsessed with him. Yamaguchi knew you deserved someone who was obsessed with you, and he knew he could be that. He knew he could love you. He had to constantly fucking remind Tsukki how you took your coffee in the morning, and what your favorite flavor of ice cream was, and that it did in fact matter when he got home if you were waiting up for him, and that you actually cared about him more than he knew and he shouldn't be wasting this opportunity treating you like an annoyance, like you didn't deserve his attention. Hell, with everything Yamaguchi tried to do to make sure you were treated right, you might as well have been dating him the whole time.

And he hated how his heart twinged with jealousy every time you chose his best friend over him, but he let it happen, because he loved you, even though he just fucking knew that wasn't how it was supposed to be. And then last night, everyone was tipsy, and you were crying, and he saw the chance to show you what really being loved could look like, and he took it. Fuck.

You mumble something soft and sweet against his shoulder and he remembers what he said last night with you on top of him, the only thing he could find the words to say, in every cadence he could think of, even after you laughed and told him to stop:

"I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you."

Yamaguchi swallows hard.

It hadn't been sex. It had been love. And that was so, so much worse.

I think it's a strange retcon, especially since Mrs O'leary is supposed to have some role in wotg? Apparently? So where do they even go from there? Percys, in such a bad place he can't take care of his own dog anymore? Just like everything Percy ever has, she gets taken and given to someone else?

oh yeah, you're right! i completely forgot that she was supposed to be in it. yeah, this is not looking great...maybe it means percy will have a reaction that someone will notice and he can finally get the attention he needs...my hopes for this are low. but not zero!

So The Bear ends season 2 with Carmy fucking up his pretty serious relationship with Claire. They spent an entire season developing this relationship between Carmy and Claire, and now it's over, and not just over, but abruptly and painfully over. Throughout this same season, they continue to develop Carmy and Syd's relationship, incorporating undeniable nods toward an eventual romance.

Then in season 3, they have Carmy dealing with the fallout of his painful fuckup, that ended a relationship that was, as I said, pretty serious, and was developed over the course of an entire season. They do this while continuing to develop Carmy and Syd's relationship, and while their interactions are mostly tense this season, they continue to incorporate blatant nods toward an eventual romance.

This is happening at the same time they have opened a restaurant, and Carmy is under enormous pressure, pressure that has been made worse by his breakup. Pressure to make the place a success, to live up to his potential, but also to make sure that Tina has an income, that he gives Marcus's mom what she wanted for Marcus, that Ebra, elderly and at the point where he really needs to be retiring, continues to have a job, that he doesn't endlessly waste his uncle's money, and crucially, so that the restaurant can earn that star Sydney is dreaming of, and that Carmy didn't even want.

And yet there are people genuinely criticizing The Bear for not canonizing SydCarmy this season, when...?

The man just went through a devastating breakup -

At the same time he opened a goddamn restaurant -

And is clearly going through the crisis of a lifetime -

And on top of that, he's just quit smoking.

Do you think, in real life, that it's realistic someone in that situation would immediately turn around and start seeing someone else? Do you think the writers would have spent a whole season developing Carmy's relationship with Claire, just for Carmy to shrug it off like it was nothing when it ends?

I'm even more baffled by the idea that SydCarmy not becoming canon this season is because the writers this whole time, have just been, what? Fucking with you? Straight-baiting you? Or do you think that just because they didn't canonize SydCarmy this season that this is indicative that they didn't intentionally allude to a future romance between Syd and Carmy?

I will tell you right now that The Bear is one of the most purposefully written shows I've ever seen. And while I will say that this season might be the weakest so far and wasn't what I was hoping for either - Nothing on that show is an accident. Nothing means nothing.

The writers of The Bear are too good to have accidentally implied SydCarmy was a thing. They are also far too dedicated to their vision for The Bear for them to be throwing things in just to fuck with you.

Have some patience maybe? When was the last time you watched a show that didn't hand you something the moment it was hinted at? Aren't you tired of watching shows that skip to the good part? Which is, as a result, not as good as it would have been?
