Okay so I’m normal about fruits basket so this is gonna be a normal post. Obviously spoilers for Fruits basket, I have not read another so uhh yeah not canon to me.

As we know the curse affects the people biologically (Hair, personality, and eye color) + physically (Kyo + Kisa get sick in the rain, Yuki likes clutter, and Ayame passes out in the cold)

We ALSO know male seahorses are the ones that give birth! Though Hatori is human so if that we’re to work he would have to have a uterus (obviously thinking biological here).

Though I’m assuming he was assigned male at birth and the curse assumes he is male. So he has something resembling a penis.

“But Hatori is a Dragon!” He transforms into a seahorse I’m not having this argument right after I wake up. He turns into a seahorse to represent the curse getting weaker.

“But his daughter.” I don’t care about another + I’m sure IBF existed in the Fruits basket universe. Also in my eyes Hatori’s relationship sucks ass it gets two episodes he should just marry me instead.

So my conclusion: Hatori is an intersex individual who just presents very male.

(Hopefully this is enjoyable and I hopefully this didn’t come out as offensive)

Also another note: I try not to tell people what to do but don’t tell me “Keep this blog on topic” every time I have gotten “off topic” it has been from an ask. The posts in “non Kiku week” were because of an ask. I don’t tell people how to run their blogs so you don’t tell me, I feel like a parent lecturing rn but it needs to be said

to put it lightly: the reason why i stopped posting frequently was because i had terrible TMJ. My jaw and ear canal are under so much pressure and pain as i write this, it's been like this for at least a month or so. I can barely do anything now and i have to keep massaging my jawline just to get five or ten minutes of peace away from the pain. But I'll keep being optimistic and hope it goes away, after all i dodged so many terrible diseases and illnesses!

Be Openly Scary

Scream about your nonhumanity and animal urges. Be open and unwavering about your systems existence, presenting as more-than-one wherever you want. Use and introduce your pronouns, even if people find them weird or offputting. Rock back and forth, pace, twitch and stim in any way you please. Wear things that reflect your identity in public. Get tattoos and body mods to your heart's content. Tell people about your personality disorders.

Don't make yourself small because others can't handle you. Be open where safe. Be you. Be scary.

At first sight I was like, oh cool! I see they’ve added a Luffy tab on my dashboard, because I love one piece. And then I look down the luffy tag,,, AND THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO JUST. DON’T KNOW WHO HE IS XD. That must mean THEY’VE JUST ADDED HIM TO EVERYONE’S DASHBOARDS WAHAHAHA!

First of all, it’s pronounced loo-fee. Second of all, he’s from hit series One Piece and you better not forget it!!!

I love how extreme found family is in one piece. Like they took supernatural line of "Family don't end in blood" and actually made good on it. Because it's not just that the crew found each other even before that only really very briefly Robin, Usopp and Luffy could say that anyone biologically related to them raised them.

Like Luffy had Garp and that's his grandpa but he also had Makino and Shanks and the red hair pirates and they were a family unit and he also had Ace, Sabo Dandan and the bandits and they were a family as well and it's never who mattered more to Luffy or who actually raised him cause they all did. It'd be hard to put him in a nuclear family structure because so many people fill the same roles in his life in different ways and that's great like Kung Fu panda said "that doesn't mean less for one parent it just means more for Luffy"

And that's the thing I think sometime fandom can get very obsessive with trying to pin down who is whose surrogate father/mother how do they fit in the nuclear family structure and while that's fun and there's nothing wrong with head cannon characters that way I also think it's important to remember that not every relationship needs a title or definition sometimes you are just family and that's valid too.

Ace had Luffy and Garp but he also had the whitebeard pirates and his pops same with Sabo and the revolutionaries

Zoro with Kuina and his old kendo master, that was maybe more of a rivals, mentor mentee relationship than whatever Mihawk Zoro and Perona had going on but it's all family none the less.

Chopper with Hiririluk and Kureha. Perona and Moria, Usopp with the little village boys and Kaya. Shanks and Buggy with the Roger Pirates. They might not all have had defined roles with each other but it was still family.

Just like Sanji, Nami, Franky and Law and their more defined Surrogate familes

And people like Vivi Robin Usopp and Shirahoshi who had/have their biological parents/family that love them and raised them.

It's nobody that I've just mentioned properly fitting squarely into any of these categories because it's all complicated family is complicated and its messy and it's big and everyone in your family might not have even met but it's family and it doesn't end in blood and for some people it never started there either.
