wrote another 5 pgs of Play i dont know how to end after like months of not doing that. bc i want to apply to a workshop program but you have to submit samples from a full play and all my "full" plays are sort of bad so now i actually have to finish this in case they ask for the full play. i mean i'll just make it a one act it's fine i mean i probably wont be accepted because you have to INTERVIEW if you're shortlisted and they only take 4 people also like why would anyone want to further their playwriting career. Playwriting career is an oxymoron i just feel listless and it will give me something to do. But i need to finish the play. Flop

Well hello there, welcome back.

A few days ago, the official Idol Land PriPara Twitter posted another series of tweets clarifying some things: Anyone who somehow managed to buy a monthly pass will get an extension. There will also be an extension to monthly login bonuses so everyone can collect all of them. Sale of coord items from the shop (specifically "weekly pick up" coords) which were set to expire will be extended. And finally, the period to accept the apology gifts will be extended and people who weren't able to create accounts before the maintenance will be able to collect them too.

As far as we know, the maintenance is still set to end 8/23 18:00 JST (5am if you are on the East Coast like me). I wish I could say I'll be waking up to play it before work, but I'm not sure if I'll manage. I have no days off in between the latest proposed maintenance end date and when I leave for my weekend adventure so I may not be able to focus on the game and make more detailed posts about it until next week...

This is such a Sanji gag it's almost painful. I've written before about how one of Oda's favorite techniques for fleshing out characters is writing foils for them, but Absalom highlights the potential danger in that approach. Sanji and Absalom are way too similar to one another to be effective foils--Sanji a smidge too pervy and Absalom presented as a smidge too likeable (I use that term as loosely as possible). A lot of the hate for Thriller Bark could have been avoided if Oda hadn't given Absalom these kinds of gags and not had Sanji say he wanted the invisibility fruit to look at naked girls without their consent. There still would have been elements to criticize, but accentuating more of the difference between these two would have made their eventual fight so much more compelling.
