I don't have much to say about the update this week. (1/15/2025)

Kanon's hairstyle and color were added. Actually, I wonder if they are saving Junon's for next week since next week is her birthday. (Will we actually get a Junon gatcha?)

Three new poses were added to the photo studio. They all cost gold idollars, so be careful.

Speaking as someone swimming in free gold idollars though, I think they're worth it nowadays and I will probably buy them. I do use all the different poses.

The third installment of the guarenteed PPR paid gatcha is up. But the sale on gold idollars is over.

There's another PriStagram event going on. We have the potential to unlock 10 exchange tickets and 10 birthday tickets. So remember to like some photos on PriStagram.

They also added AR functions for the latest opening of the PriPara exhibition and fixed some notes supposedly. So if you notice some songs working better/differently that might be why.

Does Aipri...have a plot now? I don't follow it super closely and it seems like you don't either, which, fair, but in the past crop of episodes it seems like actual...things are happening? Things the characters care about for longer than one episode? But which I can't fully understand because my Japanese is rudimentary at best. Tsumugi might be a stuffed rabbit or might be a princess and there's SOMETHING up with Chii finally, so her arc wasn't really over and they might still be building to something...? I don't know.

I'm gonna list some misc spoilers for important things that have happened.

I'm barely watching it myself so LMK if you think anything is wrong.

Tsumugi is implied not to be the rabbit itself but rather a computer chip that Himari's dad put inside it so Himari would have someone to talk to.

Tsumugi "became a princess AiPri" (princess idol princess???) but it's unclear what this actually means other than she's now the most popular ranked AiPri.

Because like... The student council still doesn't know if Tsumugi has anything to do with their princess legend??? Also I think Tsumugi originally promised to become princesses with Himari but lately Himari is busy doing other things.

(Like it's weird, instead of growing closer to Tsumugi, ever since Tsumugi became a princess Secret Friends don't hang out together anymore it seems??)

Himari, Mitsuki, and Chii are now the presidents of the AiPri club at school. Himari tells the club that she and Mitsuki are AiPri. Chii tries to tell them too and fails because nobody listens to Chii.

Chii got Buzzilume change a while ago and has been getting more popular lately, but it's still not enough. She's upset she can't be more like Tsumugi.

This causes a dark version of Chii to awaken???? The dark version kicks the real Chii out of AiPri verse!!?! The dark Chii wants to hurt or kidnap Tsumugi!?

And yeah, that's where we are.

Oh yeah, supposedly they fixed something in Asahi and Koyoi's birthday coords today.

I was hoping they were gonna fix the Cyalume Change, but it says something about the design so maybe not?

I checked Asahi's via his birthday promise and it's turning into Laala's Team Cyalume. Which is at least correct for a no brand coord.

(Earlier, Shogo's was turning into Cosmo's Cyalume from Prism Stone despite WITH not having a brand.)

I was kinda hoping this background would have all the characters. Oh well. I love the idea of event specific backgrounds! I like it when we get something to remember an event by.

Pinon's hairstyle and hair color have been added to Idol Land as of 1/8/2025!

It's a bit darker than I expected.

Also the hairstyle comes with a star earring! I never noticed that before.

I guess it's safe to assume Kanon and Junon's hairstyles will be on the way soon.

Actually, come to think of it, I am surprised they didn't do Junon first. Junon's birthday is in January, while Pinon is February and Kanon is March...

Prism Stone Shop update as of 1/8/2025! If any new players were wondering how to get the New Years coords, they are finally back in the shop! All of them are for silver. The one shown is more expensive since it's a PR.

Also, another round of paid guaranteed PR gatchas (oh nooo). This one is good until 1/22/25 12:59 JST.

Dressing Pafe is shown in the banner, but there is a lot of other stuff in here, too, such as Hibiki's Idol Key SCR.

What! Birthday gatchas on actual character birthdays!!? Is this what we are doing in 2025!? Heck yeah.

I am not really feeling this recolor, though. Looks like they based it on her hair color? I would expect they would go with either black and white (for go) or green (her image color). But even if they had, nothing beats the original Baby Monster colors for me. Oh well.

Shion also gets TWO birthday promises, one for Dorothy and one for Reona!

But in both promises, they are the ones wearing her birthday coord and Shion is in the t-shirt coord!?

I don't know if Shion is the type to wear a shirt with her own face on it. (I mean Dorothy, yeah, but...)

I did cram all my Sanrio x Pretty Series badges into one bag, but it's probably not gonna last. I'm already planning to transplant to a bigger backpack once I find one I like. Especially because I think they are gonna release a second wave of the PriPara ones at some point. Right...?

I mean they can't just not do Dressing Pafe right.

I was today years old when I learned that I can use a USB-C/HDMI connector to connect my phone to my big monitor to play Idol Land haha... (small cat for scale).

It's really cool to see my character on a screen like this. If they release her original arcade parts it will be even more of a trip.

I'd say I would play like this all the time, but the only way I could find to control it was by connecting a mouse to the USB port on the connector which does... not work very well for Cyalume Change...

(I tried connecting a controller, but it did not work. IDK if there is any way to map it.)

Does anyone else play Idol Land like this!!? Ahaha...
