More of my parent/family musings about the empire characters! Got inspired and finished off my ideas for the season 1 cast!

Anyways, my art style slipped out of the cartoonish way it had been doing the others in this series so these are more normal sketches than the others.

under the cut I'll drop some quick ideas I have about the parents, like I have on previous posts for those interested :] Enjoy!

First up are LeeryDoe and KeenBronze! I'm sure the Grimland's naming scheme is making a bit of sense seeing the family all next to one another. Both the twins parents are Grimland's engineers, while LeeryDoe specializes more in concept and planning vs KeenBronze expertise in metalworking they make a pretty good team! They're a pretty normal family with their ups and downs. Not perfect by any means but there is care even when they don't necessarily fit together well. I could take about them ages but we see glimpses of them in my fic War on our Shores so I won't blab here lol.

Quick Note on Fwhips name, "Fwhip" is a nickname for FailWhip which google tells me is his old username. I have translated this to mean that the idea of "failing" isn't a bad thing in the Grimland and it has more associations with the idea of learning and perseverance or progress which is why its not a miserable baby name lol.

Pearl and her parents! I had some trouble with them since my Pinterest board for Helianthians is a bit difficult for me. But I managed! Her mum is guardian of Helianthia before Pearl inherits the title. She may be called the farmer queen by other nations, but Guardian is her official title. I don't have too many thoughts about them, they're farmers, they do politics when they need to, they're pretty chill mostly. Baby Pearl was difficult to design tho.

Pix was by far the most difficult child to design just because a big thing about identifying Pix's character in art for me is his age and especially his beard and taking that tire and age away really makes him hard to identify. I managed though lol.

Pix's parent I don't have many thoughts for outside of the idea of them being very haunted. Very tired haunted eyes, between being queen and being the keeper of the vigil I think they're a rather mourning duo and Pix's childhood was kinda emotionally weird because of that.

quick question (pun intended, even though I’m not asking abt him XD) what is Shadow Man’s role/personality like in your AU? From what I’ve seen, it’s like he’s pretty young and Top Man is kind of his friend? Guardian?

So. The 3 bots!!! They are so so cute to me (I call everything cute) because I love that they were made to function specifically as a team! A team to travel space together and mine power crystals?? They are so fun.

After the events of the 3rd game (which I will. Hopefully draw out one day) the 3 bots actually get to do their job!!! (After a lot of convincing from dr.light to the government or w/e that these robots will not go rogue again.)

Top (the leader), Needle, Spark, Magnet, Hard, Snake and Gemini all travel into space in a giant ship (I like to imagine they reused gamma in some way for this…I haven’t drawn it out yet tho) and investigate interstellar power sources!

Their missions are going great and their reports back to Light are pretty normal! Until…

During one if his expeditions, Top stumbles upon an injured robot…in the middle of space??

Concerned, they take him back to their ship where he quickly charms the entire crew with his odd personality and adowable face. He doesn’t talk much, but he’s super excited to meet everyone, especially Top.

Eventually, they go back home to Earth and bring the mystery robot to Doctor Light but for some reason-

They have *absolutely* not clue what the hell he’s made out of. Although he has the looks of a robot, he seemingly doesn’t have any actually mechanical components! Anytime they try to get a reading on what’s goin on in there, the images come out blurry and weird. Light worries about what would happen if Wily heard about this mysterious life form….(spoiler alert. He totally hears about it later)

In the meantime, the 3 bots offer to keep an eye on him. Light allows it, and thus, we have the final full 3rd group!

With a great team spirit and hardworking attitudes the 3 bots have a bit more spice added to their lives with the addition of “Shadowman”! Named such due to his tendency to hide behind others like a shadow :^3

Anyways. TLDR- yes, Top is like a guardian of sorts for Shadow lmao. He found a weird space baby and said “yeah, I’ll adopt him.” Little did he know that the space baby had this all planned from the beginning.

Galactik Football season 3 rewatch, eps 25 - 26

Episode 25:

Remind me again why Sonny and the gang don't run over to Akillian to find the bomb? Or why no one alerts Akillian authorities at all? Shouldn't we get SOMEONE other than Aarch and Norata to look for it?

So on Sinedd's integration in the team...

While everyone else, even D'jok, seem to have accepted Sinedd back well enough, Mice still hates him and literally gags at the idea of him being on the team. I kind of wish his objection was taken more seriously in the writing – the narrative acts as if D'jok is the main person that has to settle his scores with Sinedd, but forgets that Micro-Ice was Sinedd's main target for years, and according to that flashback, they used to be a trio (although from the flashback you could also say Sinedd didn't care for him back then either lol). His reaction is pretty understandable and although he should still be keeping it professional, they shouldn't really expect him to forgive him. That dynamic could have been interesting, but we never get a confrontation or any closure between the two because Micro-Ice as a character is just there to be laughed at this season.

When Maya calls D'jok she kind of makes it sound like they should accept Sinedd because he's had it hard, which I'm not a huge fan of. First of all because in this season they had her act more as a guardian to Sinedd than D'jok, who also lost himself down the wrong path for a while there, but also because I think the reasoning for accepting him should be that he has swallowed his pride and is genuinely trying to be a better person. Otherwise it sounds a bit like “having a sob story is a justification for acting out”. I know that wasn't the intention, but still, it's in the details.

But Maya is right that D'jok and Sinedd are parallels of each other. Both grew up without their biological parents, both are extremely competitive and put huge importance on their ambitions and success, both are prone to lashing out at others when distressed. But D'jok was luckier and had an adoptive mother, and ended up with good friends who could keep him in check. They turned out differently due to different upbringing but both made mistakes and hurt others – D'jok knows this so is more humble and doesn't give Sinedd a hard time. Sinedd also saved his life, so there's that too.

Rocket: Even if D'jok and Sinedd are rivals, they're still like brothers.

UMMMMMMMMM that's taking it too far. Sinedd running off to the Shadows wasn't what put them against each other, neither was the fact he dated Mei. He was already being unpleasant all the time in season 1 and it was implied it has been that way for a long time. D'jok didn't show any regret or whatever in season 1 - he had no problem responding to Sinedd's provocations with taunts about him not having friends LOL. If they were like brothers, it was way too long ago for Rocket to be making that comment

Anyway I like this convo between D'jok and Sinedd and how it ends, for all the reasons that they're parallels as I mentioned above. But the first few lines are a bit funny because D'jok actually HASN'T been fighting him lately, it sounds as if they're making up after fighting about Mei but that's... not really what's been happening? But moving on, this is functionally an apology from Sinedd, but again he should apologise to Mice too.

Also with Sinedd saying he wants to be a good person now so his family can be proud of him... ehhhh I still think his development should have started earlier. His whole problem was that his response to growing up without family was to put others down – so the solution is to... give him a family so he'll stop doing that? I'm simplifying it but I just think it would be more impactful if he tried to turn things around before meeting his actual parents. Sure, they can still be a motivation and encourage him, but yeah.

I mean it still works with him finding his parents, realising that love and affection was all he wanted and that he was wrong to take it out on others... but at least bring the parents in earlier in the season because as it is, it's just too rushed. Honestly you could just get rid of the fake parents storyline – it was done so we can see Sinedd at his low point, but you could already have him like that after the events of season 2. It would feel like a natural continuation and you can bring the real parents in earlier.

Last note: MAN does the voice acting suck here lol

The players have been using the flux more externally lately, like shooting it at the ball instead of just using it to power themselves up. I feel like this has been happening more since the Paradisia final where they had to use flux to evacuate the planet, which makes sense

Bennett: Someone has activated the bomb, it's going to explode any second! Sonny: Did you hear him? Get out of there, now! Aarch: We're not going anywhere! Meanwhile, Norata: 🏃‍♂️💨💨💨

It's so funny how due to losing the Breath, Sinedd is just free-falling for like 100m but it cuts away to show the other players losing their flux LOL. RIP Sinedd, what a way to go.

Kind of interesting that compared to the Shadows last season, who physically didn't seem affected by the loss of flux (they just suddenly sucked at football. love that match), the Akillians are immediately drained physically and wiping out.

Wait..... being tired out.......... is Ahito gonna restore their flux because he's been storing it inside him?

Woahh!! He not only drew the Breath back to the Snow Kids, but pulled in so much it manifested in all flux holders around him! Ahito so powerful they had to nerf him with the narcolepsy

Maybe one day Sonny can just watch his son play in the GFC final without having to save the galaxy at the exact same time, but until then it's business as usual

Y'know considering how much time D'jok spent with team Paradisia I feel like they should have had more moments of rivalry in this match but hey ho

I know it's just animation reuse but Sinedd scoring the final goal with the exact same move D'jok scored his first epic goal with is pretty poetic. And of course Sinedd generally being the one to score that point (but still, couldn't we get some new animation for the winning goal?)

The way they animate Harris really looks like they wanted him to be like the Joker

So looks like Mei and Sinedd are going ahead as a couple

They really settled the Team Paradisia stuff with one sentence about them being taken care of by Chief Maddox huh. I suppose they were gonna put the Mark x Nina resolution in season 4? Idk, Team Paradisia deserved better

So Aarch is back to coaching, but for Club Galactik right? Makes sense, he still wants the job but this will be less intensive and will allow him more time to settle down with Adim and their future child. The Snow Kids will be just fine on their own. Well, when it comes to football anyway. Can't make any promises about Pirate-related adventures :P

Aaaaaand there it is... ok I always knew this was coming even when I watched the show for the first time, but it must have been so insane to watch back when it first aired. Like, everything is calmly wrapping up and then SUDDENLY the holo-trainer goes weird and the kids disappear with Mei and Micro-Ice. We linger on this for a few seconds aaaaaand.... THAT'S IT! END OF SEASON! I would have gone apeshit too

This is like a transporter malfunction from Star Trek lol, although I'm wondering how that can even happen, like does the holo-trainer actually teleport people then? Anyway I honestly don't care THAT much about the ending if I'm honest, like I get that it was a last ditch effort to get the show renewed as the higher ups obviously didn't have much faith in it with that budget slash, so I can easily just pretend those last few seconds didn't happen and it ended with the Snow Kids happily going into the holo-trainer to help teach the next generation. It's not great, but it doesn't really ruin the season for me

Soooooooooo uuuuuuhhhh.... that was it! Yeeeah I'm not a huge fan of this season, but I don't hate it with a burning passion. Except at certain points. As a whole it's more,, disappointment for what could have been. I think I'm glad we have it, because it really is jam packed with interesting concepts and I think if the writing were better, it genuinely could have been the best season. The previous seasons certainly aren't ATLA-levels of writing either but the main emotional beats worked well, whereas here it's a lot more all over the place.

Generally I feel like the team behind this season had the ambition and the vision, I mean we have Sinedd redeeming himself, a multi-flux tournament, a non-Akillian joining the team, players leaving for other teams, Aarch deciding to retire and the Snow Kids being experienced and mature enough to handle that, a "main" couple not staying together since they were teenagers... all interesting things! It's not a soulless production that doesn't try to change the status quo, but I think they just didn't manage to pull it together. There was a LOT going on with a lot of characters but ultimately there wasn't enough time for the development to feel natural and stick.

Outside of that, some characters were flanderised, yeah. Looking at you, Micro-Ice. Wait, they never even finished that plotline about him, Yuki and Zo-leen! Wtf! On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised at how some characters were handled, like Mei. It would have been so easy to villainise her but they treated her with respect, which was cool. As for the other Snow Kids, a lot of it was just romance drama shoehorned in, which gets boring when the supporting cast don't have anything else going on.

Production-wise, they did the best with the budget they got but yeah it does suck because the matches with all the cool moves were one of the selling points of the series. But here most of the games just felt like "A, B and C needs to happen, and for the rest let's just throw in some filler moves". Direction is not just down to the animation itself - types of shots, camera movement, transitions, music... all these little details were lacking so the matches ended up being kinda bland in comparison to the previous seasons. There were some creative additions though, like the Elektra's flux.

I think I've already expressed my thoughts on everything else during the commentaries, so yeah it's been fun! Hope they've been fun to read ^^

Meet: the avengers, though their fans tend to call them the sleepy bois! (an inside joke from when the iron bird may have fallen asleep before a very important conference). The line up is as follows!

The Iron Bird! This man, also know as Phil, or Philza affectionately, got rich from a mix of inheritance and coding skills! This one man army can rival all of Nintendo! Well, a man and a robot, if you include his highly advanced digital assistant!

Wilbur! More commonly known by the superhero name, Retrocognition, Wilbur is Philza's assistant! originally created as an ai, he now has a body thanks to the infinity stone in his head! He was originally made as a replica of Philza's son, whose death pushed him to becoming a superhero, but Wilbur has grown into his own being!

This brings us to Philza and Wilbur's first real friend for years, Fire ant. Moved on from her days as a german spy, Fire Ant now works for Phil and helps him in his superhero escapades! Those close to her know her as Niki, and well her instincts are sharp and her mind suspicious, she can make a mean pastry.

And now, coming out of the ice for the first time in decades, its Captain America! She may be a tad old, and catching on lost time, but shes still as strong as ever! Her real name is Cara, but her friends call her Puffy! Why? Nobody really remembers to be honest. Shes our favorite super soldier, and a complete bad ass when shes not trying to figure out how a phone works!

Next in the line up, the great god of thunder, Tho- oh, sorry, turns out he now prefers the more 'human' 'discrete' name of Technoblade? Well, no matter the name, Techno is a wonderful god! Loyal to his hammer, the orphan obliterator! (turns out Milnor was a mistranslation? well thank god(s) for that!) A tad absentminded, and always cracking jokes about some kind of wall, he may just be the most powerful on the team.

But our team wouldn't be complete without our final three! Why, its Goop, Hawkeye, and... Fundy? Sure!

First off, the amazing Goop! Thanks to some gamma rays, great scientist Charlie Sicle became some what of a monster. He's a totally normal man with a perfectly normal bone structure, until you make him mad! Then, well you ever heard of a d&d ooze? Yea... you can have fun with that.

Then, we have Hawkeye. Also known as Jack Manifold (hes not the best at secret identities), this super powered hero is... what is he actually? Why do they keep him around? Well... anyway this family man is probably a wonderful addition to the team!

And last but certainly not least, its the wonderful Fundy! Quickly taken in by Wilbur, this 15 year old was granted out of this world powers by a space stone! And with a slightly unhealthy amount of trauma and self loathing, what teen wouldn't want to be this orange wizard!

Of course, we have other heros! From Sneegsnag the bug man, to Spidered the purple spider hero, Foolish the wizard sorcerer, to King Ponk of Wakanda (and more importantly king of his lemon orchid). Many wonderful heros to beat all the terrorists in this galaxy!

And if its more heroes in the galaxy your looking for, may I introduce the wonderful Guardians of our galaxy?

Starting with our self selected caption, Tommy Inn! Tommy was swooped up as a young boy by aliens, with only his mothers favorite music disc and a handheld player to his name. He protects those discs with his life, almost more then he protects his own life!

Then, of course, we cant talk about the legendary captain without his newly full time best friend! Tho he used to be an enemy, Tubbo is down for the ride! If not a little skeptical of his best friends planning abilities. Former son of Madre, he's ready to gaurd that galaxy!

Choi Han defeated the White Star when he first transmigrated, however he never seemed to age and eventually left normal society and soon became nothing more but a old tale for children. Cale still has his 'adventures', but there's no big war he has to fight(tho somehow he helps the civil wars with Toonka and the Whales, ugh). He still overworks himself and coughs up blood and makes himself sick on occasion much to the worry of everyone around him.

He doesn't know why Ron and Beacrox suddenly appeared and moved in to help, but they are not leaving anytime soon..at least he has delicious food...the lemons..not so much and he could do without. But...it's..kind of nice..to be taken care of in such a way...

Cale is still adopted by Eruhaben, Ron and Fredo(and Henituse fam).

Cale and Alberu are sibling and scammer team goals.

@iamathornydeviltoo great question! There are a few reasons herd guard dogs are still able to do their jobs

for one thing, livestock guard dogs are also often BIG. I'm going to show you some examples from the upper end, not all herd guard dogs are this big but

they are often very large doggoes and they get constant full meals so they are always in top shape, whereas wolves are not always as big as their genes allow due to deficiency in diet and just, the harsh conditions of living in the wild

so that helps. It's not all size tho, this dog below is still a great livestock dog

and that's because of the other things that go into making livestock guardian dogs successful

1: fences and barns.

If the pastures are fenced then the dogs will almost always detect the wolf/wolves (coyotes foxes cougars bears etc) while they are still trying to figure out how to get past the fence, and the fence is pretty much impossible to get by if the dogs are already there to prevent it.

If there is a barn or something, then as soon as the herd is aware of the wolf they run into the barn which derails the wolf's main hunting strategies of running to exhaustion, creating confusion on the move, and out-maneuvering prey while on the run

(the dogs help with alerting the herd to the presence of predators but the livestock is pretty good at noticing predators too, and sometimes shepherds and ranchers will keep a couple of other animals that are specifically better at this, mixing in a couple llamas or mules or something with their herd -- and a donkey or mule will absolutely fight and occasionally kill coyotes or even a single wolf)

2: maintaining a presence

A shepherd or rancher will never have just one livestock dog, you've usually got at least three depending on herd size. If you have 500 sheep you're probably going to have more like a dozen dogs. And the dogs aren't just a group of individuals, they have a system of working together as an anti-predator team.

Of course wolves often also travel in packs, but remember, the wolves are there to hunt, not to fight. Even if the wolves win the fight without injury (unlikely and a huge problem if any get too injured to hunt) winning the fight doesn't get them a meal and probably leaves them too tired to bag a sheep that night. So even just the possibility of a fight is a pretty big deterrent unless it's a fight they're guaranteed to win easily (like five wolves against one normal sized dog or something) and even then the noise will scatter the herd and make that hunt fail.

That's also why just having the dogs around peeing on things and leaving tufts of fur around and wafting their scent in the breeze can be enough to deter many predators

3: human partnership

The dogs aren't working the herd by themselves, they have their people. Even if (or actually, ESPECIALLY if) there are no fences or barns and the herd is out in what is essentially wild countryside, as soon as the guard dogs raise a serious alarm, the people are going to come running with weapons and fire or lights and it's going to turn into a whole thing. This is the opposite of successful conditions for a hunt and a real danger to the wolf's life.

Also, in circumstances like that with no fences out in the countryside, humans will sometimes augment their dogs with stuff like this

So, even though wolves can be way bigger than most people think (and i say CAN be, the wolf in the pictures at the top is one of the biggest subspecies of wolf and is in very good shape) livestock guardian dogs have an awful lot going for them, setting them up for success.

one last thing

because this addition is in danger of painting wolves as the enemy, i just want to highlight that wolves are in much more danger from us than we are for them. We have killed them down to zero numbers in a huge amount of their natural range, and ranchers in the US and Canada often forego livestock guard dogs and concentrate on just killing all the wolves they can. They continue to shoot and trap them despite studies sugesting that this makes wolf attacks on livestock INCREASE

See, guard dogs almost always deter instead of kill, but if you shoot and trap or poison wolves then it removes the most competent hunters from the pack which means the wolves that are left are more desperate for food and less able to get it and the young wolves left are raised without good training on hunting techniques, which increases the likelihood of the wolves going after non-wild animals they see as easier to hunt. Furthermore it can destabilize a pack that would have been happy to stay together as a large pack and scatters it. This means each member will try to start their own pack, and since a pack of any size will only let a one wolf of the pack have puppies, that means killing wolves can actually increase wolf numbers in a given area, with several wolves having puppies at the same time instead of just one.

And just to drive the point home about wolves being in danger from us, i'll tell you about the wolf that is actually in the picture up there. That's Romeo, a lone wolf that started hanging around the edge of a town in Alaska.

Towns in Alaska are just, out in the middle of endless wilderness, so a wolf on the edge of town was not unusual, but this wolf began to frequently visit the area just outside of town where the residents brought their dogs to play as a sort of dog park area. At first just watching the dogs, eventually the wolf slowly started making friendly advances and made friends with some of the dogs.

people did the responsible thing and tried to drive him off, not just because it can be dangerous to have a wolf around, but also for his own good - it's not good for the wolf if they lose a fear of humans.

but Romeo must have been lonely, because he kept returning to try to integrate himself into the group of dogs that came to the area to play.

And he did make friends with them. And the people cautiously got used to him.

But he would have been better off not losing his caution of humans because eventually he was illegally shot by a pair of prize hunters and skinned for a trophy. They posted pictures bragging about it online, which is how they were caught and how we know Romeo's fate.

I don't know all the rules and regs but I can't think it's normal, in more recent years at least, to be so visibly cut out like this. If it was one or two instances I might find it reasonable. But she's missing from almost everything. Kraglin has more visibility and that's pretty insulting to Gamora by comparison of importance to the franchise, prominence in the Avengers crossover movies and let's be real her character is more recognizable. It's just not right

on a different note I appreciate everything you said about Gamora and Nebula being sisters and how their relationship doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Thanos tried so hard to break them both and they didn't let him. He tried to poison how they saw eachother and they overcame that. The relationship has the tension, conflict, love and healing that people in fandom usually eat up with a spoon. I'm not here for anyone ignoring that in favor of thinking one of them would try to take love from the other or ever want to. I'll never be on the side of two abuse victims being reduced to competition. They both survived a nightmare and one lost more than anyone ever should. Nothing should ever undermine that. If marvel wanted to make a movie just about them I'd be all in, only I don't want marvel to touch Gamora, or any of the guardians really, ever again. I don't know what it says when I both want to see more of characters i love but also would rather never see them again.

Domi was very excited about getting to fight vanitas, ESPECIALLY by your side. 

the four of you went to opposites of the arena Noe chose to host this match in. you smiled down at domi, patting her head.  “ready domi?” 

Domi stared up at her s/o “only cause you’re on my team, (y/n).” her gaze shifted down to the boots you were always wearing. they gave you a good four inches on her. 

“your boots are untied.” 

“i know.” 

Domi tilted her head in confusion but shrugged. the match begun. 

in a split second you were already close to vanitas. 

then you knelt down, on one knee and started messing with your boot and laces. 

“now is not the time to be tying your shoes!” Domi wailed. then she noticed you stuck your hand into the side of the shoe. 

then out came a dagger. you launched towards vanitas with impressive speed and thrusted it towards his neck. 

Noe as always saved him by pulling him away.

so that’s why you always leave your shoes untied. Domi would take that into consideration the next time she went shopping for clothes.

Yapping about these designs (armor mostly) because why not

Actually I think that the best decision I've made about Cogito's design was basing it more on the Warlock NPCs and not the armor sets. The biggest influence was definitely Asher Mir but the silhouette is more similar to Ikora's robes. Also he's wearing red pants and jewelry so this is kinda lifted of Osiris'es (he's the most showy of this three). But the pins and patch was actually inspired by Cayde's

Nyctibius and Wawrzyniec have kinda similar outfits but for different reasons (tho they are also old friends). Nyctibius tries to not look too characteristic, using a very generic Awoken face paint and hairstyle, she doesn't like attention. Her clothes are very practical and her cape only covers her back. And in Wawrzyn's case it's just something he likes and allows him maximum freedom of movement, although it does come at the expense of not being an armor. He tries to look intimidating and avoiding flashy shaders and details helps him achieve that. Additionally the long cape makes him look a bit taller visually, also it covers his missing right arm, as it makes him less easy to identify (just looking at the NPCs it seems usually guardians either escape the hive whole or not at all, biggest exception being Eris Morn (tho in this case Ahamkara was involved, while Wawrzyn's hand was cut by Crota's sword while he was casting a Golden Gun)). There is not much about Enikö 's design I guess. The armor set she's wearing is from Destiny 1, just with numer changed. I think that her eyebrows are pretty cool. One more thing is that while it's not super visible from this angle, the headmods she has look like a laurel wrench.

Also her and Kobzar share a number but obv there is not much meaning behind it (I do think that exos with the same number have that "same hat!" thing). For Enikö-13 it's her lack of luck and for Kobzar-13 is that it's just one number lower then Saint who is his idol. Tough luck, I guess.

A thing that I think is the most interesting in designing Titans would be pauldrons. Being such a big element of their design, they can say many things with just the shape language. Kobzar has asimetrical pauldrons (with the bigger one being at the same side as Zavala's). This is also a D1 armor set but I've picked this one because it's the one that always screamed to me "titan" the most - and Kobzar is very into upholding the Titan traditions and ideals. I think that he's very friend-coded, especially with how yellow he is. Also an interesting thing about the design of his face is that he has silicone cheeks. He also has "normal" teeth and tongue and not even Elsie knows why. Enikö just swallows things like a snake mostly and Cogito has that weird contraption that works but scares non-exos.

While it might seem like Taş is wearing a very basic armor, in reality he has a very good padding and protection on the inside and even some BrayTech materials (hopefully not SIVA). Enikö found it in some abandoned building after the Red War. Other then that I think that his strong facial structure, pearl earrings and big hair make a funny contrast with his nervous attitude. But his ghost loves him very much.

And with Enebish well. He's an ex-warlord and the oldest member of the fireteam. He's been through a lot during the Red War and the burn scars are a testament to it. The huge pauldrons give it an intimidating look, especially paired with his impressive height and strength, as well as a stoic attitude. He lost most of its anger over the years tho and is quite ok with being the team's main healer.

What if everyone is so out of character because they are dealing with PTSD after everything that they have been through in S1-3?, teenager should not be the ones saving the whole magical dimension they didn't even ask to do it, they just randomly got involved in the whole mess, but before they were so busy with school to think about it (I belive Alfea and Red Fountain are super demaning) but now that they are graduated they are such a mess that they don't know what to do. The first time I watched S4 I got the idea that the girls wanted to stay on earth because their obligations as guardian fairies where to heavy to bear and they wished for a break, but they know that they can realy scape from them.

Back then I got the theory, that S4 was a farewall for the original winx club and the start of a reboot with a new group of girls leaded by Roxy, that is why her character ovelaped with Bloom, and the girls wanted to stay on earth because the new club was going to protect the magical dimension, but evantualy the writers give up on the idea, and instead of scraping and redoing the episodes they just got ahead and messed everything, that would be why they killed Nabu and pretended Brando proposal didn't happen, so the six girls could stick together for more seasons

Stella encouraging Bloom to cheat cannot be explained away with PTSD. Bloom stealing Musa's dream cannot be explained away with PTSD. That literally not being Musa in any way shape or form cannot be explained away with PTSD. Aisha's personality being sanded down cannot be explained away with PTSD.

Like I get what your saying, and I agree that season 4 should of been the season of dealing with the conquences of the past three seasons but like you cannot explain the nonsense in season 4 as PTSD

Riven suddenly acting like a 16 teen year old and the writers pretending that season 2 didn't exist cannot be explained away with PTSD. Nabu being a one note Mary Sue, born to die, cannot be explained away with PTSD. Timmy getting jealous of Tecna off all people apparently flirting cannot be explained away with PTSD. That's also not Helia cannot be explained away with PTSD. No comment on Sky, uhhh he's fucking weird

The idea that Bloom would want to stay on earth and run away from her responsibilities is something that she'd totally do! She does that like multiple times. Having a whole season dedicated to her getting overwhelmed and running to earth only to realize that she won't be able to go back to a normal life yada yada Roxy would be very interesting! It makes no sense for the other girls

I also love the idea that season four would make for an amazing break season for everyone to reflect, but I also want to see them attack adult hood in their own way?

I don't think they'd all want to stay on earth?? Because why wouldn't they want to get away with their own families and dreams! Musa, Tecna, Stella, and Flora had really big dreams in the first three seasons! And I think watching them pursue their individual passions while coping with the past three seasons would be a lot more interesting than throwing all of their interests into a blender

I cant even see Aisha running form her responsibility even tho that's why she's in the show in the first place. Sure she'd definitely avoid the media and such, but why would she try to abandon the planet that's probably still going though it for earth! She should be worried half to death about Andros after Valtor kills so many people

I just saw a Winx confessions post about that idea that's gonna be reblogged later today but~ a more nuisanced opinion? I think Roxy getting her own team with the way Winx was going would be much better, as it would be less insulting. Plus is would complete the Roxy~Bloom character arc! Very fun

It would also fit the fact that I don't think that Roxy should of joined the girls, ill explain this opinion in a second, and I think the fact that Rainbow first marketed it like that then realized that it was a horrible idea was just peak dumbass energy for this company

My reasoning is that Roxy would either have to play catch up with all the girls, or skip all the hard parts of Enchanix and such and just gain stronger transformations which just sounds cheap as fuck not gonna lie. People have been pissed that Roxy instantly gains Believix (which that's technically not Believix but whatever) because it feels unearned. Now please image either Roxy running though the first two forms or her just gaining later transformations without getting Enchantix at all. I don't like it ngl. Roxy getting her own spin off show where she gets to be the main character and gain transformations in her own time instead of being forced to play catch up with a well established group that is 4 forms in would be much better in my opinion

Mainly doodled these up for my own reference, but why not share? Kai and Jay’s designs for the first two stories of Legacyverse (even tho the second story isn’t up yet; was kinda hoping this would drum up some fresh inspo for it and it worked~) Hopefully I can get some other characters knocked out down the line...

More details of their designs and the UA itself under the cut (with light spoilers that aren’t actually spoilers):

Casual Outfits: Fusion of both the movie’s school outfits and the casual outfits from the earlier seasons. Kai’s clothes are a little tight since he hasn’t had reason to wear (or buy) normal clothes in a long time. Jay, meanwhile, always wears the scarf knitted for him by his mom regardless of season—but, if anyone asks, he’s doing it for the fashion. 

GX Suits: Combination of the Legacy Gi, Movie Designs, and the DX Suits (with the Guardians as the main focus over the Dragons, hence “Guardian X-treme”). The Ninja get these suits after bonding with their respective Guardians.  

Legacy ZX: Combination of the ZX Suits, Legacy Gi, and Movie Designs. Might actually change up these designs a bit in the future, but they serve nicely as a starting point. The Ninja get these suits shortly before unlocking their True Potentials. 

Inheritor Symbol: These symbols are indicative of those recognized as legitimate inheritors of the elements. These symbols are normally designated as a straight up representation of the element itself, but the Core Four happen to be the exceptions, instead having symbols indicative of their Elemental Guardians. 

Ninja Symbol: The symbol taken from the headbands of the movie suits; in the UA, these mark the Ninja as members of the Secret Ninja Force. Kai’s is the mark of the “Red Fire Ninja” while Jay’s is the “Blue Lightning Ninja”. 

Spinjitzu Master Symbol: The symbol on the back of the Movie Suits, in this UA they represent the mark of a Spinjitzu Master. By the time Lloyd joins the team, there’s only nine Spinjitzu Masters alive, and thus, only nine total bearers of the symbols. 

All right, General Stuff: 

Legacyverse (aka The Ninja Legacy Whip) is basically a universe alteration where the events of the show occur within the world of the movie, with occasional tweaks/rewrites from myself (for example, replacing the Core Four’s dragons with Elemental Guardians instead, or that knowledge of the FSM + the elements + Lord Garmadon is not common prior to Garmadon attacking Ninjago City).

The Ninja go to Ninjago City High: in the events of the first story, Cole and Zane are juniors, Kai and Jay are sophomores, and Nya is a freshman (Lloyd at this point is of middle school age and is not at the high school…yet). The school is going to have more focus in the second story, which means more characters as well.

Prior to Kai joining the team, the first three Ninja basically did all of their ninja-things during the weekend, which is a full three days in Ninjago since a school week is only four days (so a full weekend is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, which leaves a generous amount of time for ninja missions—unless they’re so big that they bleed into the week itself, like an impromptu Garmadon and/or Shark Army attack, which results in many skipped or cut-short classes).

Ninjago itself is divided into six primary areas: The Northern Province, consisting of the colder territories; the Eastern Province, consisting of deserts, canyons, and stormy areas; the Western Province, which is where the main mountain range runs through; the Southern Province, which is mostly beach areas but also home to the most randomly treacherous places; the Central Province, which is where most of civilization resides and from which one can reach nearly anywhere in the rest of Ninjago within a day or two’s travel; and the Aquatic Archipelago, which is basically that little strip of islands that comes off the mainland and is where the majority of aforementioned islands can be located.

The Monastery of Spinjitzu (and the Mountain of Impossible Height) is situated on the western end of the Central Province; Ninjago City is located on the southern point of the Central Province, right on the border of the Southern Province, providing access to the beach and allowing Ninjago City Docks to thrive. Ignacia, which is an hour or so out from the city, is in the jurisdiction of the Southern Province. 

Each Province is overseen by one of the aforementioned Guardians— Ruamoko (West/Earth), Eirlys (North/Ice), Tawhiri (East/Lightning), and Vulcanell (South/Fire). These four Guardians were also tasked with keeping the Golden Weapons safe, and only a worthy Master of Spinjitzu can take the weapon from them. It does not necessarily have to be a Master of the same element (...but it does help). The Guardian of the Central Province is technically missing, which is partly why Wu rarely leaves the monastery. The Archipelago is also rumored to have a Guardian, but its existence has faded into lore and legends no one, not even Wu, currently has knowledge of. 

There’s also a time discrepancy, used by Wu to make it seem like the wars and crises that occurred in the past few decades took place far, far earlier, with the most recent one being the Skeletal War headed by Lady Iron Dragon (who most people don’t even believe is still alive). The true reason for the discrepancy is yet to be exposed, but it is the reason Nya got involved in all the secret business in the first place.

Elemental Powers, while known to most Masters themselves and some outer parts of Ninjago (like Metalonia, a place based on the Element of Metal) is basically lost knowledge to those in Ninjago City and the Central Province. The point of the Shark Army’s first attack, and their overall existence, is to expose these truths to the world over and establish Garmadon’s dominion over Ninjago instead of Wu.  

Eye color also serves as an indicator as to whether or not someone is descended from an Elemental Master. The default eye color is black, but, for example, someone descended from the Element of Lightning would have desaturated blue eyes. Now, over the years, lots of people have been descended from Masters without really knowing it, and thus don’t blink at the different eye colors (hence why the average person wouldn’t pay attention to, say, green eyes) but those in the know would be able to spot the current inheritors of the elements by their white pupils (pre-potential) or colored pupils/saturated eyes (post-potential).

In the event of two Elemental Masters having children, the more “dominant” element will be inherited by the first born. So Lightning would be inherited before Water, or Fire before Amber (wink wink nudge nudge). Otherwise, the Element is always guaranteed to the first born. The two exceptions to this are the Element of Ice and the Green Element, both which skipped a generation, although for wildly different reasons.

There’s also the possibility of Essence Splits: meaning that the power of one element/essence from a powerful parent is divided evenly among siblings (such is the case with Wu and Garmadon, and the Time Twins). Elements can also be given up willingly, but there’s usually a cost for doing so, as by having a child, the body has more time to gradually adjust to losing the perks of the power. If the power is suddenly taken away all at once, well…the consequences differ by the element. 

(This gets explained a little in the first story, but more in-depth in the beginning of the second story, so I’ll put it here too as a little teaser): The Elements themselves also work a bit differently from both the show and the movie: obviously there’s still the Four Core Elements, being Earth, Fire, Ice, and Lightning. When combined, they can achieve equivalent might to the “Green” Element, but whether this power is used for creation or destruction relies on how much harmony they have with one another.

The Four Core Elements can also be broken down into four derivatives each, resulting in sixteen total “Derivative Elements”. Each of these elements represents one trait that makes up the Core Element they are derived from. For example, Lightning is fast, so the Element of Speed is derived from it. Or how Metal is derived from the Element of Earth. When the sixteen are combined, their strength would be equal to that of the Core Four (and equal the Green Element by itself). However, this is impossible to currently achieve as certain derivative elements have been “broken” from the circle.

There’s a few reasons why Wu picked the Core Four to train above anyone else: he was very close with the previous masters, and had starting points for searching for their descendants; four people are way easier to find and manage than sixteen; a few members of the Derivative Elements are known to be displaced; and, while of equivalent strength, the inheritor of the Green Element is…well, someone he’d rather not involve unless the situation is at its most dire.
