hello. as the resident kai fan d you have any recs for fics or art about his scar? like, an origin story? i cant find anything and im not sure if im just not filtering right or something lol

Oh wow, call me a fake Kai fan, but I actually don’t have any recs I can offer you, Anon 😔😔. I haven’t actually searched for that.

i can only offer my own theories/hcs. I sort of have two ideas that I can’t decide between.

For one, I think it would be very funny if there was no angst behind it. I think it’d be so silly if Kai did something like piss off a cat or walk into something. The ninja see him with this hideous eye injury and all rush him and ask what happened. And he just can’t bring himself to tell the truth because it’s embarrassing and he knows they’d (lovingly) tease the shit out of him.

On the other hand, I am a sucker for angst, so I can’t help but think about him getting his scar in an angsty way. I think in my ideal, non-silly world Kai would have gotten his scar trying to protect one of the other ninja. He throws himself in front of them to protect and defend at the cost of himself. Because to me that seems like a VERY Kai thing to do.

I will always want nya to restore jay’s memories but the other og 3 to restore jay’s goodness. jay gets his memories back because of nya but is horrified by what he’s become…runs off and the other 3 hunt him down and convince him to come back. cole, zane, kai, pulling their best friend and the forth member of the original team back to their side. there hasn’t been enough focus on the core four. I need them back.
