guys-
as i'm sure you may know by my sideblog @coyotix, i am a warrior cats kid. mainly for the animation yknow i like drawing animals and it helps develop my art style, but it won't stop me from getting involved in the characters and (occasionally good) plotlines. au animatic are fun too.
well you see the problem with being in such a large animation community is that almost every idea has been done before so originality is really tough to pin down. so many times i have gotten a fantastic idea for an animation only to find that like six people have done it already. like it won't stop me from doing it but then i don't feel as original abt it yknow? not a self deprecating thing, it's just a bit disappointing?? if that makes sense??
so it's currently 2:18 am and im listening to music, and chant from hadestown started playing and OH MY GOD i had a fantastic idea for a map with the song, using stories and characters from the broken code arc!! and i was immediately disappointed with myself because it's a well known song and a well known story, so naturally, someone has done it already.
NOBODY HAS DONE IT.
I FOUND A WELL KNOWN SONG WITHIN THE ANIMATION COMMUNITY AND A WELL KNOWN PLOTLINE WITHIN THE WC COMMUNITY.
AND THEY HAVE NOT YET BEEN COMBINED.
I FEEL SO FUCKING POWERFUL.
TAKE SOME CONCEPT ART

watching the sdcc panel and i am just very :) about how sweet their answers to “what are some of the micro moments from the game that have stuck with you the most over the years?” are. taliesin saying what the fuck is up with that which was the first like The Party Gets To Know Each Other moments of c3. travis saying asking his wife if he could kiss her in campaign. marisha going way back to the cannonball competition in campaign one. ashley choosing the beauyasha date but also just the silly goat noise matt made. liam adding onto that to compliment matt roleplaying grass so well and then saying his favourite moment was writing a story for laura and reading it to her as caleb for jester. and then matt saying that was his answer, and that his favourite moments of the game are when they find ways to give gifts to each other whether tangible or not. and sam saying his favourite moments have less to do with the story and is more so when he can just. see his friends across the table from him. when marisha perches and when laura and ashley are (badly) drawing dicks and liam saying he loves when sam sneezes and ashley tells him to stop it and just. yeah. they Are an extremely popular online powerhouse, but i’m so happy that they’re also friends building a world together out of gifts to and love for one another.
like i Am so enamoured with the characters and the world of exandria but the moments when you can feel the love that those people have for each other reach out from behind the stained glass of their performances (to steal a metaphor from brennan lee mulligan) are so extremely special and i am endlessly grateful that they decided to share their silly little home game with the world.

Wait but like other than the divine, who did show up for the conclave? Was she just in a room by herself? 💀
theoretically, representatives sent by fiona and the lord seeker (??? whoever these may have been... not known or mentioned characters, apparently...?) and also uh [checks notes] every single influential cleric in the southern chantry. and, uhhhh. that one guy i guess cassandra fucked in the anime movie i haven’t seen
also: the mages and templars you see on screen lining up in their absurd little identical queues. i imagine a lot of the ordinary ones would have tried to make it just for somewhere there seemed to be a semblance of truce and order and someone who could tell them what to do

That’s what she holds onto. A life—an eternal one—with someone else as Lord. Someone true of heart. Quick of mind. That’s the dream, right there. And all she has to do is clear the way.
