They call this 1959 home a "Norwegian Boat House," but it looks like a coffin to me. Anyway, the 3bd, 3ba, 2,380 sq ft home in Los Angeles, CA is beautiful inside, but it's not exactly roomy for $1.998m. Take a look at it.

This must be the entrance, around the back by the driveway, b/c it fronts a mountainside.

So, it's at least 3 levels and appears to be open concept.

It's not a very large home, but it has great views and a terrace on the main floor. So, the living room and dining area share the same space.

And, then the smallish kitchen is right there.

There's this area off to the side of the kitchen, also.

Then you can go down to the lower level.

There is a bedroom with room for seating and access to the terrace.

There's also a family room that's cozy.

And, there's a nice big shower.

They are using this room as a bedroom, but I wonder if that's what it's supposed to be, b/c it has a kitchenette.

Smaller room with a closet is used as a home office.

attended another pride event!! it was a kvenish + southern sami brooch workshop! it was very cozy and fun and i made a kvenish style brooch out of salmon skin!

*Ianthe is ancient Greek for violet, as in both the colour and the flower. She has some purple colour theming, since the planetary system she's from has an assigned colour for each planet, except hers gets both purple and gold as a special treat. She also has purple eyes in the beginning but they change part way through. Personality-wise, she's terrible, just the worst. She's awful and the author has promised she is going to get worse in the last book. Unfortunately I find her compelling and I enjoy watching the other characters having to deal with her garbage behaviour. She's convinced she's the main character but everyone keeps interrupting her villain monologues.

**Kobolt is the Norwegian word for Cobalt, like in Cobalt Blue (the colour on his jumper) He's from a Norwegian comic and not really internationally popular but... please give him a chance he's really amazing :)

Rosemaling (Norwegian art form)

Rosemaling can be painted on anything, mostly we see it on objects such as cake boxes, chairs, cabinets etc.

Here you can see the traditional art form on walls, roofs & beds. During this time, rosemaling is quite common in norwegian houses, but mostly for smaller objects. However a while back the art form was also used to decorate houses, curches, cabins etc.

Å du er Norsk?!

I... Actually really like Norwegian food and as a US American I get made fun of for liking canned, salted, and pickled herring. Not all kipper snacks are good, obviously, Because some brands taste different, but overall-

(Granted, I haven't tried the fermented stuff that I know is a thing in both Norway and Sweden. I know surstroming? Smells gods awful though)

My family is Norwegian but I grew up in the sewer so strong fishy smells make me feel sick. I can’t stomach the strong smelling pickled fish or tasted the salted fish. I’ve tried getting better at it but it’s a struggle to find fish I can eat.

I also don’t like black licorice but I feel that’s a normal thing in America to dislike. I was tricked into eating salted licorice TWICE as a child. The fucking gall of my family. Now I even hate fennel (which I’m also part Italian so. Struggle there)
