amemex hcs? for scientific reasons
Ah I ,,, have to disappoint you. I don’t have the requisite knowledge or perhaps background either to speak intelligently on AmeMex. All I can say is that Alfred and María have had a relationship that winds like a careful mountain road; it has been both as rocky as one, toxic as a striking snake, yet sometimes as beautiful as the stars which decorate both their imaginations.
And despite saying this, I am often inclined to view the continental North Americans as three frequently bickering siblings that can still sometimes come together to be a mostly dysfunctional family. Alone on both sides by great oceans and bordering very few, all three whose lives were influenced by great powers, as the entire New World was.

Presenting………THE NORTH AMERICAN TRIO
Tumblr media
Recently a comic book of this based on a continent of North America.
Also, it took me 3-4 days to finish but it always still a bit when I had my breakfast this earlier, and just continue to draw some more work because my bare hands are prematurely tired.
Yeah right, the comic strips hasn’t created yet and so does the pilot and the storyboard as well. So nobody has picked up my comic series, right? :]
Hopefully it would happen if this gets picked up by a fan who likes The Lost Media, so this does it. Anyways, I would be working on some more comic books as my own for this whole thing tonight, maybe I think that I would be posting anytime from the summer break to winter/fall break.

First, what is Ketu and what are Ketuvians?
In Vedic astrology, there are 9 recognized planets: Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Kuja (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu (North Node), and Ketu (South Node).
Each of which rules over 3 lunar mansions called nakshatras, bringing the total to 27.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The three nakshatras ruled by Ketu are Ashwini, Magha, and Mula. Ketuvian means having these nakshatras in your big 3 (Sun, Moon, Rising) or having Ketu conjunct one of your big 3. Ketu in the 1st house is included here as well. The signs your big 3 are in take precedence before the nakshatras, though.
The WWE is an untapped gold mine when it comes to seeing how certain nakshatras play out in TV and entertainment. The WWE is unique in the way that the roles they play can affect their lives, the lines becoming blurred in a way, who is the character and who is the real person? I think it's very Ketu-like how many wrestlers lose themselves in a persona or in trying to live up to one.
So Im focusing on Ketu today, Ketu rules extremes, headlessness, and disillusion. In this list, you’re going to see themes such as dark/edginess, first of many/trailblazers, recklessness/carelessness, and/or behaving in a deranged or unhinged fashion. Honestly, what WWE is all about.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Foremost, is the former CEO and head of creative of WWE, Vince McMahon (Magha ♌︎ Sun + Mercury) who in the Attitude Era and onward (1997-), was known for being pretty controversial, to say the least. Starting his evil and mischievous character with the Montreal Screwjob, screwing Bret Hart in the process. Despite that, he was responsible for the company's huge success, after experiencing a rough patch in the early 90s. Bringing us the iconic Ruthless Aggression era, and playing up excessive violence, profanity, and sexual content. The chart for the WWE has (Magha ♌︎ Jupiter + Rahu), giving Vince perfect synastry with it to be the one to bring it to the next level.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next, The Undertaker (Mula ♐︎ Moon), who is known for his “Deadman” persona. The usual attire is a long, black, trench coat, and a black top hat. He spent all of his career in this persona, though having a short stint as the “American Badass” biker. If I’m not mistaken he’s also the wrestler that took the longest to break kayfabe [the fact or convention of presenting staged performances as genuine or authentic]. He didn’t do interviews until fairly recently, and he now has a podcast, telling stories from his long career.
Tumblr media
Now, The Rock (Mula ♐︎ Moon), and Stone Cold Steve Austin (Mula ♐︎ Sun + Mercury). They were each other's most iconic rivalry, defining the Attitude Era. The Rock is the charismatic babyface while Stone Cold is the rebellious heel, both are pretty unfiltered and disrespectful towards others, especially each other.
Tumblr media
Next, Team Xtreme (lol), which consisted of the Hardy Boyz: Jeff Hardy (Revati Moon + Ketu), Matt Hardy (Mula ♐︎ Moon), and Lita (Ashwini ♈︎ Sun | Krittika Moon + Ketu). They were known for their extreme, high-flying stunts and innovative moves. Lita joined as their valet and quickly became an active participant in matches, marking the true formation of Team Xtreme. During this period, Lita and Matt were dating. They all had considerable solo success as well, with Jeff becoming WWE Champion in 2008.
Tumblr media
The duo found fame in tandem with Edge (Mula ♐︎ Moon + Rahu | Ashwini ♈︎ Mars) & Christian (Ashwini ♈︎ Mars | Mula ♐︎ Rahu), their very risky tables, ladders, and chairs matches definitely set a new standard for any matches of its kind to follow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Lita only being part of the trio for 2 years, she found her success as a solo act with the help of two individuals, Trish Stratus (Mula ♐︎ Sun) and Edge. Her feud with Trish Stratus is each other’s biggest, and her real-life affair with Edge became a major storyline used in the show. She caught most of the heat for this affair, the hate from fans running her out of the company in 2006.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The affair with Lita, along with becoming ruthless in his pursuit to become champion, catapulted Edge into stardom, starting the best heel run of all time, IMO. Edge started with a dark and edgy (lol) persona, a “tortured” soul who didn’t speak much. He then moved into a duo with Christian and momentarily became the Brood, a trio of vampires with Gangrel. All before fully leaning into being loud, reckless, and careless, he became the legend he is today, the “Rated R” Superstar. He also had a noteworthy feud with John Cena (Ashwini ♈︎ Sun). He was my first "favorite" wrestler ever, as a Mula Moon myself. 🤭
Tumblr media
Trish’s feud with Victoria (Magha ♌︎ Moon + Ketu | Mula ♐︎ Venus) was notable, with them having a Hardcore match at Survivor Series. This was during a time when it was extremely taboo for women to do anything even close to what they did, hitting each other with various objects.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Victoria’s persona was unhinged and edgy, nicknamed the “Black Widow”. I absolutely adored her aesthetic, I notice a lot of Ketu natives gravitate towards black, red, and purple.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chyna (Mula ♐︎ Sun + Venus) was the one who encouraged Victoria to begin wrestling. Chyna got her start in the WWE acting as a bodyguard for Triple H and Shawn Michaels, forming D-Generation X. Chyna, more than any other woman in wrestling, showed that women can do what men can. She was very important for the women’s division, being the only woman to have held the Intercontinental Championship. She was a trailblazer and nicknamed the “Ninth Wonder of the World”. After being let go from the WWE at the end of 2001, she struggled with drug, alcohol addictions, and depressive tendencies. She unfortunately passed from a drug overdose in 2015. The way things turned out for her truly bothered me, she deserved better. Rest in Peace. 🕊️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lastly, Sunny (Mula ♐︎ Moon) is known to most as the first major WWE Diva, becoming the most downloaded personality on AOL in 1996. She had a controversial tenure in WWE, having an affair with Shawn Michaels while being publicly involved with Chris Candido. She also struggled with addiction, eventually being let go by WWE in 1998 after too many no-shows. Sunny has since made appearances on independent circuits. Most recently, she has been arrested several times and is now serving a 17.5-year sentence for vehicular manslaughter.
All in all, Ketu has an almost insatiable need to be headless, expressing a sense of carelessness or detachment. It can be their success just as much as it can be their downfall. In the world of wrestling, men often channel this behavior into their work, which reduces the need to act out in their personal lives, though some still do, often through infidelity or drug use. However, Ketu-ruled women in wrestling, lacking similar outlets in their professional roles, tend to seek this detachment in their personal lives, frequently turning to substances as their medium of expression.
Found on Barbara Pijan's site:
"Ketu can have a strong influence on things in this way:
It sometimes renders the mind unbalanced, disturbing social relationships and makes personal life difficult.
Ketu makes itself felt in the psychology of an individual rather than on the material conditions of life."

Happy Birthday Scottish actor Gary Lewis, born 30th November 1957.
Born and raised in Easterhouse, Glasgow Lewis seems an unlikely actor, he has had jobs as a roadsweeper and librarian, his brother, a teacher encouraged him to do more and he became in his own words a “voracious” reader, this pushed him into wanting to become an actor at the age of 32.
It was a chance meeting with fellow Scot, Peter Mullan that gave him his break, he joined the regular “in house” actors in Ken Loach films, starring with Mullan in My Name is Joe and Robert Carlyle in Carla’s song he was in good company to learn. He had a cracking role in Peter Mullan’s film Orphans, with one of my favourite lines, “She’s not heavy, she’s my mother”
Lewis won the best actor award for the part at the Gijón International Film Festival in 1998.I think most of you will remember Gary Lewis playing coal miner Jackie Elliot, father to the films title role Billy Elliot. I sometimes feel like I m repeating myself when noting the CV’s of these actors, Taggart, Rab C Nesbitt, Rebus were early shows for Lewis, while Stonemouth and In Plain Sight are more recent.
Then there is of course Outlander. Gary Lewis appeared in the first two seasons of the hit show, based on the novels by Diana Gabaldon playing, Colum MacKenzie, laird of the MacKenzie family and Uncle to Jamie Fraser. Colum died in the season finale 2 finale Hail Mary. Of Outlander he says,
“The fan base is extremely passionate. It is strange because I live in Scotland and Outlander isn’t massive here to the extent it is in Australia, America and Canada. There are fans all over the world.”
The past few years have been busy for Gary, he managed to snap up an appearance in the final series of Still Game, as well the movie, The Vanishing, teaming up again with Peter Mullan and last weeks birthday boy Gerard Butler. He has also been in His Dark Materials, Rig 45, It’s a Sin, Vigil and series 3 of The Bay.
IMDB has Gary, along with Billy Boyd and Sharleen Spiteri to star in a film, set in Glasgow called I Feel Fine, however I think the project has stalled as it has been at the “announced” stage for several years now. Gary is also to play Roald Amundsen in the film North Pole: 90° North.
Gary wa also in the Scottish feature film, Stella, about a German Jewish refugee who finds herself working in a stately Home in Dumfries and Galloway belonging to aristocratic supporters of fascist leader Oswald Mosely. I havent seen the film as yet, but will try and remdy that as it has a good rating on Imdb.
Gary reprised the role Colin Robertson last year in the second series of Vigil, he was seen earlier this year in Frankin, Michael Douglas in the lead role as American founding father Benjamin Franklin.
Earlier this month Gary was sighted alongside Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson, shooting aboard a boat in Newquay. It's speculated that the trio were filming for an upcoming British TV series on Apple+, named Down Cemetery Road., although I can't find him on the list of actors.

Pittsburgh Penguins alternate captain Evgeni Malkin was named the NHL’s Third Star for the opening week of the 2023-24 regular season, it was announced today.
Malkin opened the season with six points (2G-4A) in his first three games, and is currently tied as the NHL’s leading scorer. In the Penguins’ second game of the season on October 13 in Washington, Malkin (1G-3A) opened the scoring and factored in on each of Pittsburgh’s four goals to record his first four-point game since January 10, 2023. Malkin’s 29 career four-point games and 36 three-assist games are both the fourth most among all active players.
With a goal and assist, Malkin recorded another multi-point game the next night at home against Calgary on October 14, as Pittsburgh swept their first set of back-to-back games of the season. Malkin’s goal that night marked his 473rd career marker, tying him with Alexander Mogilny for the third-most goals by a Russian-born player in NHL history. Only Alex Ovechkin (822) and Sergei Fedorov (483) have more goals among Russians.
This season marks Malkin’s 18th with the Penguins, surpassing Mario Lemieux (17) for the second-most seasons played with the team in franchise history (Sidney Crosby, 19; Kris Letang, 18). Pittsburgh’s long-standing core of Malkin and teammates Crosby and Letang are skating in their 18th season together, marking the longest-tenured trio of teammates in major North American professional sports history.

It's Almost Here! North American Solar Eclipse, 2024
As I mentioned in that other post, it will be visible as at least a partial eclipse to most of North America, with the path of totality cutting a diagonal from Sinaloa, Mexico to Newfoundland, Canada, including 15 US states from Texas to Maine.
Don't be fooled by how we just had one back in October, and another one a few years ago in 2017: total solar eclipses are rare! They only happen when the Sun, Moon, and Earth line up just perfectly--and only for a small portion of the Earth's surface each time.
It's a wild coincidence that North America/the US has gotten three in such a short span of time; the last one before the recent trio was in 1979, and the next one won't be until 2044. (We do have a big partial coming to us in 2033!) The Northeastern US won't see another until the 2070's.
(Note: If you are not in North America, you can use these maps to see when your continent will have its turn!)
This eclipse is also really special in that its path of totality sweeps across a lot of heavily-populated areas. About 31 million people live within the path of totality, and millions more are expected to visit.
So, it's a pretty big deal, and now's the time to get ready!
If you live in the path of totality:
Lucky you! Look up your location on these maps to get the exact time and duration of totality.
Be ready for extra traffic & crowds--especially if you live somewhere with stuff for tourists, or a place that people outside the immediate area will have heard of.
Totality times are in the afternoon, ranging from about 1:30 in Texas to 3:30 in Maine (local times), so if you'll be at school, or at work in a setting where you can't choose your own break times, now's a good time to talk to whomever you need to. It's not unreasonable to ask to step out into the parking lot for the three minutes that people will be coming from far and wide to see--but depending on your setting, it may take some arranging ahead of time. (If you're in school, hopefully your science teachers have already thought of this, but if not, ask them. And if your science teachers are jerks, try other teachers.
If you live near the path of totality:
Try to go! As the American author Annie Dillard says, "Seeing a partial eclipse bears the same relation to seeing a total eclipse as kissing a man does to marrying him, or as flying in an airplane does to falling out of an airplane."
(Link is to the Atlantic; if you hit a paywall, the 12-foot ladder works.)
Here's a map of approximate driving distances to the path of totality, in the US (from this page).
If you're close enough to think about going, here are some Google maps with eclipse overlays for more detailed planning. (I like the Xavier Jubier one.)
Once you're inside the path of totality, anywhere you can see the sun is a valid viewing location, but if you're making a day of it and you want to find a special spot, check local visitor's bureaus or tourism offices for the area you'll be in. They'll probably have a list of parks and other places. For instance, here's what Erie, Pennsylvania has.
Seriously, If you are able to drive/have a car, live within day-trip distance of the path of totality, and can be away from work/school without losing your job/being arrested for truancy, you should go. This is a once-in-a-lifetime type of thing, and there's still loads of time to plan a day-trip.
(Note: If you aren't in day-trip distance, but now you want to go, you don't have a lot of options: hotels and flights have been full for ages. However, if you're in two-days-driving distance, you might be able to find a Sunday-night base camp, from which you can get up on Monday morning and drive several more hours to the path of totality. For instance, in Pennsylvania, there are still reasonably-priced hotel rooms to be had in State College, which is--in normal traffic--three and a half hours from Erie. (You might even be able to get a little closer than that; I just checked State College because they have a lot of hotels for the Penn State football crowds.} So if you're coming from, say, Maryland or Virginia, that could work, and there may be similar creative options for other regions. Again, if this is something that's feasible for you to do, without bankrupting yourself, getting fired, or other long-term consequences, I would strongly consider doing it!
If you live in North America, but have no way to get to the totality:
A partial eclipse is still pretty cool! And again, it'll be a while before you have another chance to see one, so it's worth it to make the time.
All of the 48 contiguous US states will be able to see some amount of eclipse. So will Hawaii, Mexico, Central America, and most of Canada and the Caribbean islands, plus a little bit of South America. (Alaska and part of the Yukon are SOL, but you will have your turn in 2033!)
Use these maps to look up the time and extent of the eclipse in your location.
As of this writing, you can still get eclipse glasses here, among other places. If you run out of time to get them, check for eclipse-viewing events at local parks, libraries, etc.--they may also have some to give away ahead of time, but even if not, if you go to an event, there will almost certainly be some to share.
The plus of a partial eclipse is that you have a fairly relaxed viewing window--as much as a couple of hours, depending how far you are from the middle of the eclipse zone--rather than a standout moment that you want to make sure you're in position for.
That makes it pretty easy to get a chance to see it even if you're at work--everybody can take turns stepping outside for a look. You can share eclipse glasses, too.

This is tangential to the point, and pure speculation on my part, but I've always found it interesting that the type of cuisine they eat on the show clearly plays a role on establishing whether the person is "good" or "evil".
Everyone in the show who has ever dined with traditional Korean food had all been good-adjacent people, mostly the people of Manyang: Dongsik, Sangbae, Jaeyi, Jihwa, Jihoon, Jeongje, Gilgu, Gwangyoung.
(Which is why it also says a lot that by the end of the show, Jeongje and Gilgu are both not part of the Korean cuisine table anymore.)
Everyone in the show who has ever dined with Japanese / Chinese food had all been the evil-adjacent people, specifically the trio of Han Kihwan, Do Haewon, and Lee Changjin, with the addition of Jung Cheolmoon.
In fact, it's fascinating to me that the "villains" of the story have all always met at a Japanese restaurant, and dined specifically with Japanese cuisine like sashimi.
Again, this is pure speculation on my part, but I'm fascinated by the not-so-subtle portrayal of Japanese cuisine as adjacent to "evil"—considering how South Korea has never gotten over their grudge against their former colonizer, Japan.
And South Korea culturally has always been a grudge-bearing country—rightfully so—against the countries that have colonized them.
This political relationship also comes into play with the way the illegal immigrants and prostitutes in the show, and the ones supplying illegally acquired yuan for gambling, just had to be Chinese—considering as well South Korea's political friction with China as the one who sided with North Korea during the war.
(It does make me doubly appreciative of the Manyang group, and Joowon as well, that this political prejudice didn't stop them from seeking justice for these Chinese immigrants, especially Lee Geumhwa. It says a lot of how despite his imperfections, Joowon is inherently good (and intelligent) for never allowing himself to blinded by any sort of bias.)
As for Joowon himself, it's fascinating that he's neither of the two; in the beginning he's shown to neither dine with Korean nor Japanese cuisine, but his fare is more of the Western cuisine—as was shown when he cooked up that meal for Dongsik at his apartment. Again, unsurprisingly, considering he spent most of his youth and early teenage years at a boarding school in England before moving back to South Korea.
It's fascinating then that what he dined with together with the Manyang group at the end of the show is budae jiggae, which is a fusion of American and Korean food that came up during the Korean war with leftover meat out of U.S. bases in South Korea.
And it should be noted here too, interestingly, that South Korea has always viewed the U.S. as their political ally.
(For Joowon to be symbolized by Western food is fascinating, because if it's likened to South Korea's politics, it's like the Manyang group sees him as not one of theirs—but can still be a potential ally.)
As I've always said, it's impossible to separate Beyond Evil as a show from the cultural context of South Korea, and when you view it from that lens, it's fascinating that even the country's political biases are revealed symbolically in the show too.
For the symbolism of budae jiggae in the show in particular, it was first shown on the flashback during the dinner after Nam Sangbae's death, when he first tried their town's new restaurant catering to fusion cuisines. And it's symbolic of how everyone was wary to try something new at first, something foreign—and how it was Dongsik who had the first taste.
It says a lot for Joowon's character in particular, because if he has always been symbolized by Western cuisine and the Manyang group (including Dongsik) has always been symbolized by traditional Korean cuisine, the way they dined together on budae jiggae in their reunion lunch at Jaeyi's speaks so significantly of Joowon finally being a part of their family.

Question since this has been running though my brain about D2 food: what do you think the usual cuisine would be?
I’ve been thinking of what to have at the harvest festival for the trio in the Capitol and nothing is coming to mind outside of prickly pear but I stole that from Jocelyn lol (THG Encyclopedia)
This a super good question! I grew up in Northwest Colorado so I can only answer for that portion for certain (I do live on the Front Range in CO now). For the portions in New Mexico I would say prickly pear would def be popular because it grows very well there.
As for the mountains, not much grows here because the winter is 6 months long (like snow on the ground in October which doesn’t melt until April, so the ground is not arable for half the year). However, a lot of my friends used to hunt deer, elk, and grouse, so those could be popular (that’s assuming beef shipped from D10 is considered a luxury). We also have some berries (thimble berries and sarvisberries shown below) that grow in the wild.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some edible plants like pine and dandelions do well in the region where I live, but most gardens fail because the only time it doesn’t get below freezing at night is late June through late August.
There are peach and wine vineyards in the far west of CO (where the Mojave desert starts) so those may be still available.
However, in the front range (central and eastern CO) it is very different. It’s a lot warmer and lower elevation, so crops like wheat and corn can grow.
But for cuisine, I would say food is heavily inspired by specifically Mexican and New Mexican (which includes a mix Pueblo Native American and Mexican influences) cuisine. Especially in the southern part of D2. The two things I can think of specifically are pork chili verde and huevos rancheros.
But I do think the cuisine has been influenced by what is available. So in the quarry towns in the mountainous north, food is much blander because they cannot grow chiles or any type of herbs/spices because the soil is frozen for a decent amount of the year.
I hope this answered your question! And thank you so so much for the ask!

I would love to hear more about the one with the history teacher.
Ooo that is a fun one. The basic idea I had was that Dumbledore finally gets permission to hire a new history teacher. I posted the idea that the failing standards that we often see in bashing fics is more due to the Board of Governors then Dumbledore on Reddit once and I like the idea here. In comes Scarlet Ridley (who originally was going to secretly be the daughter of Voldemort but then I had this idea and went no this is better).
She’s the daughter of a Squib and recently found out her connection to Lily Potter. Dumbledore here is not a monster and is in fact THRILLED that he has another option. However he is wary and Scarlet fully knows it’s reasonable so she partly applies cause she wants to be a teacher and partly because she wants to show she can be trusted.
The story focuses a lot on family but also on the idea that corruption is heavily prevalent in Wizarding Britain which has affected history. It’s very much a ‘the victors and those with an agenda try to control history’ story.
For instance the first chapter reveals MCUSA is 1 government over in North America. There is also a Canadian Government and three other American based ones. But as the Minister was related to the President of MCUSA he banned all mention of the others by any government officials before removing all books on them.
Scarlet is a Dark Witch to, and a Rune Master. She ends up taking Harry in and he flourishes under the care of someone who loves him.
Basically with this I took the idea that the corruption in Britain is horrific and went: well what if…
It features Snape being a dick, good Dumbledore, Golden Trio awesomeness and some Molly bashing in the sense her trauma during the war has her reacting negatively to Dark Magic which causes two of her sons to suppress their own magic. She makes up for it! She’s just traumatized.
I also found like an entire page debating pairings for Scarlet and Harry.

Max is a betta fish, Nikki is a leopard shark, and Neil is a harbor porpoise :D
(Let’s say that this is magical merperson water that both salt and fresh water creatures can live in)
This was supposed to be a silly low effort doodle but I found a new brush and chaos ensued
Because the creativity demons have taken me, I plan to hopefully draw the rest of the Camp Camp characters and maybe some others this month!
(Let’s see how long I last lmao)
Here’s the full list of the species everyone is:
Max- betta fish
Neil- harbor porpoise
Nikki- leopard shark
Harrison- mimic octopus (✨illusion✨)
Nerris- narwhal
Preston- koi (taisho sanke)
Space kid- harp seal
