I never really bought into Monogamy as a child because I was too into Christianity

I was like “well, a couple must mean 3 because it’s you, your partner, and god”. Which, people were vaguely okay with.

And then I was like, no, it’s at least four, because the priest marries them. People were less okay with that idea but they did not like arguing with a very convinced 7yo.

from that point I kinda was like. “Woah, aren’t you like, kinda married to everyone at the wedding? Like, they were involved.” And although I landed on that being silly, it opened my mind for a while.

So by the time I got to ten years old and got my little summer camp girl friend, I was already like “hey, it’s cool if you wanna like, have a partner at home too”. So she started dating her best friend. And I started dating her too. (It was from like ten to thirteen, it mostly was phone calls and dancing once a year at camp). And I went in dates with other folks too in that time. It just,…was what it was.

But yeah, idk. It’s cool to me how people will just spring into nonmonogomy naturally. I was 16 when I first heard of an open relationship, and I didn’t hear of polyamory till is was in college. I just did it.

Any other people find polyamory naturally?

Can’t believe I’m using this Fuckass vent blog for the first time in licherally four years to say it’s getting a bit tiring having ,this boy , who I am in love with and trying so hard not to be in love with , who knows damn well I am in love with him , and has told me he hopes I get over it for the sake of our friendship, because he cannot date anyone rn or for the foreseeable future , for extremely valid personal reasons .
