What if your current obsession was a flop electro-synth-pop musical made to use chess as a metaphor for the cold war but also the american guy is your stereotypical american who has a massive ego and gets loads of girls but has crippling mommy issues and the russian is the only normal person and is like why am i the only normal person in this musical and the referee has this absolutely insane song that has no business being so good and this Hungarian woman has a great song that has been pulling me out of bed in the morning

Since I’m seeing this absolute goddess in less than 4 hours (omg how is this real life I’m gonna dieeee) I thought I’d share what I believe is THE BEST staging of Nobody’s Side, featuring the INCREDIBLE Helen Sjöholm.

Okay so I ecently used the men's room as an openly transmasc person for the first time

The line for the stalls was crazy long and not moving so I asked what was up- buddy next to me was like "someone's doing drugs in the back stall"

So I went (security guard mode) "?? Has someone checked on him? Is he concious and responsive??" Getting ready to bust in, right?

And the guy asked if I was a cop

So yeah I didn't get gender policed but I did get police gendered

If you’re gonna care about prison abolition and justice you are necessarily going to have to care about the people who DID do those crimes and just want to reintegrate and live a normal life without hurting anyone. You're gonna have to be cool with the fact that the guy scanning your groceries might’ve raped someone. You're gonna have to relax about the possibility that your bank teller used to be a career criminal. The person sitting next to you on the bus might’ve committed three different murders, and as long as he's not about to commit a fourth right now, that's not your fuckin' problem. People don't disappear from society after they commit crimes, and most of them really just want to live a normal, stable life instead of going back to that. And the best way to make sure they don't relapse is to ensure they're able to live that peaceful life instead of freaking out because the guy next door used to run a dogfighting ring. You don’t have to be friends with them, you don't even have to like them, but you're gonna need to be okay with them existing in society. Sorry.

This was the reason I ended up reading the odyssey by the way.#I needed a placeholder name for our cowboy exorcist and I went with 'Nobody-haha-like-in-the-odyssey-wait-what'.#Project discussion wise this isn't the name we use when talking about this character. *That's* staying a secret.#This comic idea was actually one of the first things I ever sketched for Nobody.#The rhetoric at that point was to show off to my game dev partner the humour in having No Gender for a protag.#None binary with a side of 'I don't have the capacity to think about that right now.'#There was a 4th panel to go along with this but I cut it for time.
