“You're doing the work for the far right when you call on all pedophiles to be executed on sight. Not even twenty years ago, gay people were mostly thought of as PEDOPHILES.” You do realize there’s a difference between actual child abusers and gay people being called pedos? Like yeah govt authorities should be held to a higher standard but stop telling individuals to repress violence against those who abuse and defraud and mutilate those weaker than themselves. This cowardly “guillotines are too uncivilized” mentality of many in the left is part of why we can’t get shit done, the cops and right extremists and billionaires aren’t facing nearly enough consequences as is for me to be cherry picking methods based on the treatment of the 5% or less of humanity who actively choose to take away innocent peoples rights, sorry if that is too ‘extreme’ leftist but I mean that pedo line was so fuckin out of nowhere
What makes YOUR violence different than anyone else's? What makes YOUR destruction more righteous than anyone's who thinks they're righteous as well?
I'm very sorry to like, say this and break your pretty little view of this neat little world where the good guys kill the bad guys and we all rise as the revolution happens, but evil people are people too and deserve a chance at redemption. Your thirst for blood may be as justified as the people around you see fit, but praxis is necessary for a world that is actually fair. If you can't see that, then idk, don't come to a post made by an anarchist who is more interested in actually asking about how to help the world as a whole instead of thinking of a guillotine.
I'd love to kill a pedophile with my own bare fucking hand, what I don't think is that I should get the right to do so, or that killing anyone is actually any fucking good on society, you know. Time and time again it's been shown that people do evil things (as beheld by a western, white, general audience) due to the environment that they grow up in. Evil behavior is learned behavior, and time and time again we've been shown that people are capable - and in fact, WANT TO - get better and reintegrate into society.
If you can't picture that? And the thirst for blood of a hypothetical person gets you all high and mighty? Then you're not a leftist advocating for a better world, you're just another person with a fantasy in mind.
I like praxis. I like helping others, including terrible people, so that the root of the fucking cause is severed. The world is made of terrible systems and I seek to end those systems, not the monsters that the machine churns out due to them.
Suit yourself, with your hands at the bottom of the chain instead of the top. Just don't call yourself brave and me a coward.
I don't think killing is brave. I think killing is just easier for you to digest.

remember how charlie started dating her gf back when she thought vaggie was a sinner who'd earned a place in hell, and then she found out the gf used to be a murder angel and got angry / hurt bc SHE tells vaggie everything so why didn't vaggie trust her with the angel thing??? does vaggie not really LOVE her????? oh yeah and murder bad too whatever- OH WAIT SO VAGGIE /DOES/ LOVE HER!? fuck yeah who cares about murder! the angel gf's wings are hot and charlie Will Hug Her
what im saying is... charlie doesn't just TALK about the fluffy vague idea of redemption
she's been living it this whole time
we see her CHOOSE to stay with vaggie even after having the exact terrible bad things vaggie did shoved in her face. there's no "she's just naive" excuse here
she knows. her kindness and hope doesn't come from a LACK of knowing how bad things or people can be
but that was vaggie's past. charlie talks about a breach of trust, of vaggie not trusting her with the truth, of the fear that other things between them hadn't been true too- Those are all PRESENT vaggie issues. they're all questions about the woman vaggie is NOW, and what kind of relationship charlie has with her, today
even charlie's line wondering if vaggie would've told her about an angel's weakness- it's not, "oh you're still one of them", it's "now i know there was something else important that you didn't tell me"
it's so quiet. that kind of, amazing moment. where charlie just unravels the whole idea of sin and flicks it away, like a speck of dust
being reminded of how many ways vaggie SHOWS who she is and who CHARLIE is to her, that settles charlie, answers all her worries and questions (she can trust vaggie) (vaggie is in this with her no matter what)- because none of them, those fears and pains, were about what vaggie had been
that's how the hotel can work. it's built on something REALLY strong- it's built on charlie honestly meaning what she says, and vaggie truly actively being her partner in it
we can't SEE that happening without looking at THEM
(we see people not taking them, or charlie, seriously- and getting fucked up when they Find Out)
them being and staying together is proof that the hotel can work, that angels can sin and seek redemption, that people- even sinners- can change
and when they change there'll be at least one place where they can BE that new person
at the hazbin hotel

It's amazing that Bridgerton, the show, and the fandom, want me to believe that Cressida is just this stereotypical mean girl and Penelope is the innocent girl who can do no wrong because, let's be honest, both of them are mean girls. At least Cressida's retorts aren't published in a gossip site for the whole society to read. A lot of people use Penelope's life, with her mother and such, as justification for all the harm that she's done and it's kind of gross because what do you mean her outing a young pregnant black woman is justified? What do you mean being ableist is justified just because others were mean to you? It's not, and I wish people would stop painting it that way (especially as someone who has been bullied while understanding wanting to have a catharsis, it would be primarily directed at those who've harmed me and not other random people!). If you can use Penelope's background as a way to justify her actions, then don't be mad when people do the same for Cressida especially since the show also tells verbatim what she's dealing with. I would be a little snappy (not to her extent though) too if I were in her shoes.
Is Cressida wrong for bullying Penelope? Yes, very wrong. However, if you're going to say that her background doesn't justify her treatment toward Penelope, then keep that same smoke for her [Penelope] as well.

PLEASE DO NOT TAG AS YOUR OWN OC OR PAIRING.
Nathan and Ruben share a bond more powerful than most; mutual understanding through past experiences no one should ever have to go through, and through past actions so horrible they cannot be spoken of. Their grief and the blood on their hands binds them to the STEM technology they created, which has alienated them from the rest of the world— but they give each other the comfort they have both longed for so desperately for years, and that is all they need.
They are each other's counterpart; you cannot imagine one without the other, like two sides of the same coin. Through their pain, their grief, their desire, and their regret, they have become one.

man i'm on a roll tonight
DP x DC idea:
Bruce Wayne has somehow managed to become the unofficial guardian of at least two more kids. Maybe three. He's not sure yet. Various members of the Batfamily have made new friends recently and have been having them hang out at Wayne manor for extensive periods of time. Now only if he could actually meet the rascals face-to-face, maybe he could adopt them for real.
or
Danny, Elle, and Jazz have all made friends with different Wayne kids at different times from different places. Damian met Elle at school, Danny met Tim while working at a coffee shop, and Jazz met Cass outside the local theater. All three visit the manor separately, and no one communicates that they've befriended people from the same family. Eventually, however, their hangout sessions accidentally overlap and the Waynes have to deal with the excitement of three Fentons under a single roof.
Let's just say there's a reason the three of them live separately.
