I like enemies to lovers I love enemies to lovers and rivals to lovers too, but I can't go around shipping every pair of enemies and every pair of rivals, you know why? Because there's a line. It's only rlly fun when they're actually into it, whether they know it or not, or if they admit it or not, but when wanting to kill the other, when plotting vengence on the enemy is damaging one's soul and body, I can't look at it and think "omg they should kiss", I mean maybe in a special case that would be the solution, but not when the revenge would be deserved, even if it's not the right solution

Similar to this, I don't really want to ship a character with someone who doesn't treat them how they deserve to be treated, whether that be their love language or not, Bilbo Baggins in my mind, because I do ship him with a dwarf, the dwarves had quite the impact on him and a lot were good to him, but one he's shipped with the most was the only one that treated him like trash (I've only seen the movies, stone me if in the books they're canon or smth). I don't ship him with Thorin, I ship him with Dwalin. You know, the first dwarf to show up at his door in the middle of the night, one of the dwarves who never really turned against him, the dwarf who protected him during the war (again, I'm a movie bitch), and the one who didn't die (sorry I know shipping goes beyond death but that death scene didn't make me ship them either, I feel worse for Dwalin for losing Thorin than I do for Bilbo), and I just find it easier for Bilbo to live a domestic life with him than I do with Thorin (ik Bilbo likes adventure too a little, but still)

I wasn't gonna mention any ships actually, but now that I did I feel like I have to say that in the first paragraph I was talking mostly about Kurapika x Chrollo, because I just rlly don't like that ship, the more an enemies to lovers is like batjokes the better I think, because Batman is a lunatic who gets off of beating up the Joker over and over again without killing him because god forbid that man dies as long as he's alive, and the Joker is into it and is commited to Batman on a very high level, it's better than marrige, But Kurapika, allthough you could compare him to Batman in backstory and all, in character he's different, he seeks revenge, and allthough that's hot af, it's not right, it's not good for him, and allthough Chrollo and the troupe deserves the revenge for what they did (one of the reasons actually to why I don't ship them, they literally murdered his entire clan to sell their eyes), Kurapika needs to move on, he'd collected the eyes, he has friends who love him, he shouldn't isolate himself from them just because they distract him from revenge, not to mention I also don't tlly hate the troupe, they did do terrible things but they're well written villains, they love too, just not Kurapika...

Also there's a kinda creepy age gap, I don't always judge age gaps but this show doesn't do them a good deed

I've seen "I don't know how to play with toys anymore" a few times lately and just wanted to point out-

Playing with toys looks different for everyone, even actual children!

Playing with toys can look like: 🧸🪁🚂

Taking pictures of your toys and writing captions for them

Brushing or grooming soft toys or toys with rooted hair

Ordering or sorting your toys by colour/species etc

Making up stories, poems or comics about your toys

Dressing or accessorising your toys

Imagining your toys talking to you or each other, forming opinions of their own, etc

Drawing your toys

Taking your toys for a walk outside, even in a backpack or pocket if you don't want to carry them openly

Making lists of the toys you have and where you got them etc

Hua Cheng essentially cockblocking himself for possibly all of eternity will literally never not be the funniest thing MXTX ever wrote.

Xie Lian was pretty much completely in love with him the second he saw those lanterns (and completely oblivious about it) and then we get the wonderful first kiss underwater moment and Xie Lian is basically drawing hearts around Hua Cheng every time he sees him. While like quietly dying cause he literally has no idea what to do with it. Like at this point he doesn’t even really understand that he is head over heels totally gone for this man.

Until Hua Cheng is like I have a beloved I just haven’t won them over yet. Which he thinks is perfectly reasonable because his self esteem is the worst and he doesn’t understand how he could have won Xie Lian over yet. (He’s only on step 22 of his Marrying Dianxia 3000 step Master Plan ((that he debates throwing out on a regular basis because he doesn’t deserve to even dream about wanting Xie Lian)). So course he’s like yeah I have this wonderful noble beautiful beloved I just haven’t won them over yet wink wink nudge nudge.

But Xie Lian is like oh of course obviously I don’t deserve nice things and fuck I actually wanted him so badly I’m actually in love with him and now I will resign myself to never being happy for his sake. (Their combined self esteem is truly a so low it’s a hole in the ground which is hilarious because they think the other person is to good for them and unattainable forever because they literally have the same neurosis.) So he starts boxing up his feelings forever constantly wanting Hua Cheng and feeling guilty about it and literally dying inside because he wants Hua Cheng like he’s never wanted anyone.

Like essentially books 3 and 5 only happen because Hua Cheng has now cursed them both by saying he has a beloved because Xie Lian believes he isn’t wanted and therefore any nice thing Hua Cheng does is just him being nice and not Hua Cheng pulling out steps 23-34 of his plan thinking he still hasn’t won Xie Lian over. (He has he so has but he shot himself in the foot so badly it’s painful to read).

Like thank the Gods Hua Cheng is so unhinged and created the cave of 10000 Gods cause Xie Lian would literally be at his own wedding to Hua Cheng still convinced he wanted someone else and this was in fact a thing they were doing to solve a case together otherwise.

Like he needed something that unhinged to put 2 and 2 together otherwise he never would have caught on he’s Hua Cheng’s beloved. Meanwhile Hua cheng is like 🥺 he’s going to think I’m a weirdo now and I’m only on step 50 of the plan 🥺 like the two of them wouldn’t have been fucking nasty 2 books ago if he just kept his mouth shut and didn’t cockblock himself so violently.

ok full disclosure i already had this post drafted before realizing that mira’s birthday was coming up. i kinda debated just posting the mira doodles on their own but!!! i want to talk about my craft/general color headcanons still. and the mira art is part of that!! so be warned. also, this is going to reference my post about my craft headcanons a lot so like. read that if you so desire.

i personally think that mira’s healing craft is some form of creative craft, since the game describes her holding her palms up when she uses it (iirc anyways). this doesn’t really have an effect on anything, but it’s why i decided to color it yellow!

(also i ended up making mira’s scissors craft a lot more orange than i initially planned but that’s ok!!! i think both of her crafts would be pretty Orange. just thought i’d mention that since it’s a bit different from my first post)

i already explained sif’s craft in my last post so now i get to talk about the change god!!!!!! this is like. probably the most out there in terms of my color headcanons? but i have a reason for that. since the change god is, well, a deity, i thought it would be fitting for their design to match the colors of the 3 craft types (red, blue, and yellow)! this was a little hard to work around given that i also try to give my vaugarde designs warmer color palettes, but i think it worked out!

i also gave them a few slightly different palettes, since i think it’ll make sense for the change god’s colors to be variable. they never look the same, so why would their palette look the same? + i’m indecisive and liked all of these palettes lol

Edit since a lot of people seem confused - your "real" name is the name that you want to be referred to in real life. It doesn't have to be your legal name. So if you're trans and you have a different name to whats on your birth certificate, even if not many people call you by the name, it still counts as your real name.
