Bran had lost track of everything that had happened; it all blurred together in jagged fragments. Time had stretched and snapped from moment to moment. A creature, the forest, pain up his neck and across his cheek (the ivy-shaped wound still raw and stinging, no time to patch it properly, no time to rest), chaos and shouting, and then… Maude… and Arthur. Gone, gone, gone. He tried not to dwell on it as much as possible. Breaking down would solve nothing. He needed to keep himself together, for Nettie’s sake.

Nettie. She hadn’t left his side since…

Don’t think about it.

Staying close to each other seemed to provide the most reassurance and safety. Bran focused all his energy on comforting Nettie as much as he could, on finding a way to protect her (because they were still hunting them, he sensed their approach). And in his desperation, an invocation ritual had surfaced from the murky depths of his memory. A wavering spark in the darkness. He clung to it now, as their last hope.

He explained the spell as well as he could to Nettie. She asked no questions, too worn-out from crying. She just huddled beside him where he knelt on the dusty floor and she gripped his arm so tightly that it ached, her damp face buried in his sweater sleeve.

Bran lit the candle. He recited the incantation slowly, taking great care not to miss a single word. The moment the last syllable left his lips and magic tingled over him, a burning pain seared through his core. Bran gasped and hunched over, clutching at his chest with his free hand. What… was that? Why…?

Didn’t matter. Not now. Cold swept through the already drafty room. A muffled whimper came from Nettie, though she didn’t raise her head from his arm. Bran blinked away the fuzzy darkness at the edges of his vision, took a deep breath, and looked up at the shadowy figure. Fear choked him before he found the breath to speak, his voice hoarse and shaky. “Please, I— I’m sorry. We need your help. I’ll do anything.”

imogen fumbling shit is just eternally good fodder for memes, alright. and its at least partly BECAUSE of how powerful she is. someone tripping while using a nerf gun? funny. someone dramatically hoisting up an outfit matchin heavy death laser gun and then immediately tripping and landing on their face? phenom. sometimes she goes "GROVEL" and the enemies grovel and we all go "oooooh" and "aaaahhh" and sometimes she just gets fully ignored and gets so huffy and petulant and ineffectually burns a cantrip just to be petty about it. sometimes she smites her enemies into dust with one move and renders a tree in half after threatening and other times she fucking. falls down a flight of stairs and accidentally sets everything on fire. fires a gun at her own team. loses all her hair. turns blue. etc.

Imogen lifts a humongous sand squid into the sky with her mind powers. Imogen is also falling out of a sky ship and landing on the desert sand far below and just. lying there. while her friend plays the flute in the background. epic hot failgirls NEED the HEIGHT to FAIL FROM. u gotta swing and miss sometimes!!! First year of high school, was so lame and forgettable, not a care in the world

Second year of high school, in my ‘I hate my life’ phase. Drastically cut my butt length blonde virgin hair. Still regret it to this day.

Lockdown was over, something happened: existential crisis? Who knows. One day I woke up and I decided that I was over being lame.

Fourth year of high school and moved to the us. I was a senior there tho. Anyway all that edgy look was too much so I decided that I just had to be cool.

Came back from the us, moved to london for the summer and then came back to Italy. Fifth year of highschool and my ed was RAGING. At least looks were fire. At some point I had to drop out cause my body was not able to go anymore. Still an icon.

Going back to school and repeating fifth year. Doing much better physically but not mentally BUT I was in my first serious relationship and I absorbed pretty much his whole style. Ad I looked so legend as a ginger.

Now. Somehow alive. Pretty much living in hell. But we thrive. Found out that tumblr is pretty cool and getting many tattoos. Dare i say that I’m in my coolest era.

Jezzie announces practically the second his eyes open. They bounce up and down in front of him, tail wagging almost furiously as it picked up any dust left on the floor of her little hideout. Which was a lot considering there weren't any cleaning materials down in the blacksite. She kneels down to meet Slip's height' a huge grin plastered on their face. Jez plants a few excited kisses on his forehead, chirping excitedly as they did so. Somethings got them in a good mood.

"I found thislittleplace in the blacksite FULL of stuff, probably a-a pit all of the expendables fell down! I thoughtmaybewecould run over there really quick and scavenge somestuff?!"

She speaks quickly, forgetting to regard that Slip had just woken up and probably had no idea what the fuck they had just said. Especially when they jumbled their words up, a normal occurrence when Jez got a bit too riled up.

Yet, there's no lungs for the undead to laugh with. The empty eye sockets that are nothing but a void almost seem to be intensely boring into the woman as he takes a seat across from her.

One good thing about Baldur's Gate--most people didn't give a damn about an undead walking through the streets. Waterdeep was a little more uptight about it.

But still, an undead by itself with no handleror someone normal to make them look a bit more … accepted socially wasn't a good look. Back in Waterdeep, he was often used to having someone along with him to back him up if someone questioned his existence or threatened to call the city guards.

every now and again i think about when the code finally (/)killed qétoiles and he had a one day depression arc in which it really felt like he’d finally fucking cracked for real . and then he fought the code again and won and was immediately back on his insane but normal levels of bullshit like nothing had ever happened
