Okay, since this is tagged as deep thoughts, imma try & get real with y’all 😅🫶 plus it’s a good question (so thanks @guardian-angel12 & same question back to you ;-) …

So, a single year is hard to pick… Childhood was pretty much just survival mode for 18 years; while simultaneously being all the time I got with some of the most important people in my life before they passed. So, most of my “happiest” memories are a little scattered, and honestly in the simple little things most. With that said, if I had to pick one year, I think I’d say off the top of my head, 2013? As it was the year with a lot of time for the lights in my life; my little sister and baby brother.

When I think of that year, one of my favorite memories (& comforting ones) of all time is what brings this year to mind…

That summer I spent with my sister’s family, & this one morning I woke up way earlier than everyone else for some reason, so I went out to watch the sky (I love when it’s bright but still starry right before sunrise), a few minutes later my little sister was also up & came stumbling out to sit with me in the old rocking chair so I could braid her hair as she dozed, until we were met by the tumbling little footsteps of our baby brother barreling in for a bear hug (& prompt request for cereal). So, we just sat out there watching the sunrise & sharing cereal out of the box, as the day slowly began in cups of coffee & crackling eggs.

We got a lot of time like that in that year and that’s what I care to remember most, & would go back to for a little while if I could.

This is a hard question😂 and one I know I’ve asked others before😅😅

Seriously they all have such great qualities so like my favorite are all six🤣 but usually my top are: Nina (she’s a queen), Inej (she is my therapy), & Wylan (he is a precious summer child that must be protected at all costs)… but if I’m gonna pick one (yes your going through my thought process with me😂) right now I’m gonna go with Nina Zenik.

She’s iconic & a mood that always brings fun & the best quips but also incredibly save-the-day smart, talented in more ways than one, powerful & not just in her actual powers but in her emotions, her ferocity for those she loves, her grounded fight for good, her strength even among horrors. She has endured, and come back again & again. Yet, she is not unchanged. She was very powerful grief & female representation for me, and I know represented a lot for a lot of people. And most of all she is a character that has a lot of heart (pun-not-intended).
