That '90s Show Part 2 Review
Overall, I'm giving Part 2 4.5 Stars out of 5!!!! I completely loved it, and thought it was an improvement from last season. I am now all the more excited for part 3, given what I know is still coming. 😜
If you're interested, here's my real-time reactions thread from Twitter (pinned to the top of my bio).
Stay tuned for my breakdown (warning: there be spoilers here):
The Good
The H U M O R continues to be the brightest spot for me. This is a genuinely funny show - I laughed out loud (okay, closer to howled if we're being honest) several times. It feels similar (though not identical) to T70S' brand of humor. I can tell it was made by the same people. This season, like last, Ozzie was my main man and had the one-liners that sent me the most but I can say the same for Jay, Gwen, Nate, and Leia too. And Bob. Oh hell, all of them! I'm sure I'll be reblogging my favorite moments for months to come while we wait for part 3!
The C H A R A C T E R D E V E L O P M E N T is the other shining star for me. The first season was limited (disappointing?) in this regard - to be fair, they only had 10 episodes to introduce us to a whole new handful of characters and make us care about them, and they mostly did. But this season brought the depth I was looking for - and we're only halfway through! 🤯 We learn more about Jay's playboy past, and see how he's actively working to grow and change and do his relationship with Leia differently. Ozzie is humanized when he has his heart broken - and his friends are there to pick up the pieces 💔. Nate struggles with his feelings and relationship with Nikki all season, and by the end of episode 8 he seems to be grappling with still having real feelings for her that he can't move on from. Nikki's pregnancy scare really affected her, and not in the way one would necessarily expect. She ended part 2 feeling lost and unsure of her direction, or what she truly wants (and not her parents), for the first time in her life. Gwen's storylines were perhaps my favorite of all (I'm a big Gwen stan, okay?). I was impressed that they decided to 'go there' with the racism plot, and even more impressed at the frank conversation she had at the end of the episode with her white (and well-intentioned, but bumbling) mom. Was it perfect and resolved? No. I think that was kind of the point. Not to mention her navigating her first real feelings and her relationship (?) with Cole. And Leia, my lovely Leia - she is learning about communication, forgiveness, honesty - all with the gentle guidance of her family and her friends. And that's not to mention Red and Kitty, who had sweet, plot-driving storylines of their own. I loved their realization that they like their rut - but loved even more when Red was inspired to live every day like it's his last and pushed through his fears to go to Paris with Kitty 🥰. This longer season has afforded more 'filler-like' episodes for us to just hang out with the characters, and get to know them more intimately. What are their wants, fears, insecurities, innermost thoughts? We are getting there. We are really getting there. Let's see what 8 more episodes will bring!
BOB! Bob gets his own point, because I enjoyed him so much (and seeing him and Red eventually come together to be overprotective grandpas 🤣. I laughed so much at his relationship with Leia, how they were just chilling in the basement, how he wanted all the teen gos. And Gwen's "What the heck, do you tell your grandpas everything?" 😂
DONNA! I adore Donna Pinciotti (Forman?), always have, and I adore her even more in the '90s than I thought possible. I love seeing her as a mom and her relationship with Leia. More pls.
This season felt more '90s to me! They incorporated more '90s references and brought back the regular fantasy sequences that always set the original apart. Off the top of my head, I loved: Kitty's Carmen Electra fantasy/nightmare (😂), Leia's Lisa Loeb fantasy (🤣), the Macarena (that shit was e v e r y w h e r e in the mid-90s, man), the Mentos commercial, Jay and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith cameo!!! also, Leo's son???) and all of Kitty's '90s slang that she picked up from the kids at school 😂👏🏻
The guest stars! Mitch and The Angel returned from T70S, and I am a big Will Forte/that era of SNL stan so I thoroughly enjoyed his appearance, too (and know he's been involved on the OG series on the writing/production side).
Red's trains (callback to season 1 of T70S - whoa!!) 🥰
I thought they struck a good balance this season between those heartfelt, 'very special episode'-type moments that '90s sitcoms were infamous for, without actually being too sickly-sweet, ala a Full House or Girl Meets World type moment. Donna and Leia's interaction in Nikki's bedroom regarding the voicemail comes to mind, as well as the is-Nikki-pregnant storyline and Nikki and Nate's celebratory dance at the end 🤣.
Which reminds me - I thought Nikki and Nate's storyline was intriguing. I have always been sort of a fan of their relationship - I don't think it's as bad as some others seem to - but remain unconvinced that they're 'meant to be' or endgame or whatever. But I enjoyed watching them navigate their break-up this season and then reluctantly find their ways back to each other, though. We'll see where it goes in part 3!
I immediately noted (and was pleased!) that there was a Laurie mention and a Midge mention this season. Both very off-hand, but it was something I was curious about. Who will be next? Betsy Kelso? 😮
The Bad
For me, ngl, Topher Grace's (Eric) absence was really felt. It is definitely the kids' show now and a substantial storyline isn't one I'd ever expect, but gosh I missed him from the family scenes at the beginning (both those with Red & Kitty, and those with Donna & Leia). The silver lining is how the other characters continue to reference him - almost in every episode, really - and so we still learn things about him and his relationships to his wife, daughter, and parents through these mentions from other characters. There will always be a part of me that is crossing my fingers for another Eric appearance, though, and I think there always will be.
Kitty's characterization as an overbearing mother was overdone. To be fair, this isn't a deviation from the original show. This is how she was often written towards the end of T70S - overbearing, possessive of Eric, lashing out at Donna or feeling in competition with her. It was done for laughs, but it wasn't particularly funny to me (and never was) 🤷‍♀️.
Not enough Geia content for my 'shipper heart 😩. We got one boob touch 😂, and it is clear that Leia still prioritizes her friendship with Gwen above all else (I lol'ed when she worried Gwen was in jail and that she would have to commit a crime to join her) but I want more, damn it! Part 2 solidified for me that Geia is never going to be anything more than a crack!ship. 😰
Which reminds me - Jay and Leia are kind of 'meh' for me. They're fine, I don't dislike them together, and I do like how we're seeing them both learn and grow through their relationship but... it just inspires kind of lukewarm feelings, I guess.
There wasn't a lot of Sherri in part 2. I love Sherri. Hope to see more of her in the next part.
The Ugly
I am pleased to say that I can't think of anything!!! Fez was absent (although they didn't directly reference their break-up, Sherri is clearly single and on the prowl all season) but I didn't miss him (🤭). Ditto to Kelso and Jackie - although we did get one reference to Jay's dad and the Kelso family heirloom (aka porn). I would say the ugliest part is that I now have to wait until October for part 3!!!

I would say I've been successfully lowkey queer... summoned (?) but I would have watched anyway because that 70s show is one of my comfort shows... anyway a storyline about Leia finding out she's bi or a lesbian with comphet would be amazing because of all the things they made her say and do this first season like how she even talked and interacted with the storyline about Ozzie wanting to come out to people???? like how she said that basically once you come out you can't take that back and so she understands how hard it is and how she was so respectful about Ozzie and supportive... how she seems to have more chemistry with Gwen, the fact that they are building their relationship wonderfully in the writing and also making them spend a lot of time together, the fact that Leia wanted to spend time both with Jay and Gwen, they have fights and are jealous of the other but still support each other as best friends first, Gwen & Leia both were immediately sure that they would keep being friends even with the distance and instead Jay immediately thought about breaking up with her... Nate randomly being into Leia is because he's insecure about his appearance and thinks Nikki wants to leave him because Nikki is focused on her future instead of promising things she can't know yet at 15... and honestly Leia & Nate didn't talk enough for this plot twist to work.
and like Geia is probably not going to happen because I'm a pessimistic bitch but holy shit if THAT wasn't super queer Idk what that was... and I will not call it queerbaiting only because I didn't follow the production but I don't think they used Geia for marketing at all...but they have time to do it before season 2 for sure so we'll see how it goes... 😢

Just curious but what are your t9s ships?
Honestly I feel like my only really solid ship for That '90s Show is, Red and Kitty. They were just as wonderful in it as they were in That '70s Show, compared to some seasons even more wonderful. That '90s Show only made me love them more, can't tell you how many times I've rewatched the show-paritcalry their scenes during this summer break.
Other ships...well I think we can count Eric and Donna as a ship for the show. Sure they only come out in one episode together but they had several cute moments and @thatseventiesbitch has written plenty of fics of missing moments that make it seem like they were there a lot more. Hopefully in season 2 they will be in at least 2 more episodes than this season.
Jay and Leia are a cute ship and have to admit I do find the idea of a Forman dating a Kelso pretty funny. They have some really sweet moments I the show I'd be happy if they ended up together.
Nate and Leia were a twist I did not see coming. I don't know if the writer's will take this route but I wouldn't be too upset if they did, I like Nate, he's a fun character and I think Red might like him more than Jay so that works in Leia's favor lol
Gwen and Leia I could see it, I would actually kinda love to see their friendship turn into something more. I really loved their moments together and think the actors have great chemistry. I don't think it would be something completely out of the blue if the shows' writers decided to take this route, though I don't think they will.
Nikki and Nate, they remind me a lot of Jackie and Kelso but less toxic. I'm really curious to see if they will still be together in season 2 even if Nate isn't with Leia it doesn't mean he'll still be with Nikki. Not sure which way I'd prefer things go yet tbh.
Thank you once more for the ask! It's such fun getting to talk about the show!
My inbox is like The Forman House, it’s always unlocked and open! Stop in anytime 😀

that 90′s show review
hello im back
spoilers ahead
I watched That 70′s Show like it was a religion when I was younger so I had quite a few expectations going into this.
Guest appearances from the original cast were funny and very nostalgic. Red and Kitty seem like they never left the roles, love them in this. The show itself had likable characters who looked the ages they were supposed to be (15 to 16 years old). Leia was a great combination of Eric and Donna without feeling repetitive. She’s dorky and awkward like Eric but her actual interests are completely different and tends to lean towards Donna in how she treats her friends and her interests. I think Gwen is the most like Donna; into the feminist movement/women empowerment. She’s raised by one (messy) parent. Her rebellious streak does remind me of Hyde as well as her temperament. It’s a fresh take on older characters. Same with Jay. Similar to Kelso but mostly in his expressions and maturity - he has Jackie’s heart and head. They never clarify whether or not Jackie is his biological mom but in the very least she is helping raise him and it shows. Nikki is smart, driven, confident but cold. She doesn’t really remind me of one particular OG character but that adds to the new elements of this show. Nate and Ozzie also don’t remind me of anyone on the OG show but I know they modelled Ozzie after Fez. The only overlap, in my opinion, is that they are both flamboyant. Ozzie’s secure in his own skin, knowledgeable about current culture and not emotional.
Jay and Leia remind me so much of Donna and Eric. It’s puppy love and first love for both of them. He calms her down when she’s stressed but doesn’t dismiss her concerns. I really thought this would be my ship on the show. But I think they both have a lot of maturing to do (again they’re 15) and I could actually see them breaking up over the school year. To move the plot forward, it’s probably for the best. Same with Nate and Nikki. I have to admit, Gwen and Nikki have more chemistry. Nate is the most emotionally intelligent one in the group and I think that's why the scenes with Leia actually work. They are both people who feel their emotions and act on them (e.g. both of their jealousy story lines). Its well established that they both have jealous streaks so that will be a fun dynamic to explore in a later season. It was a little rushed but thinking within the season’s timeline: she arrived July 4th and left end of August. That’s about 6 weeks in which she met everyone, started flirting with Jay, dating Jay, and got broken up with (and back together). I like the triangle dynamic, Nate and her have a better foundation as friends. She can go to him for advice and understanding. She’s had more of an emotionally connection with him. Gwen not being as into or interested in boys leads me to believe she is probably going to have a coming out plot later. I like her as Leia’s friend but I think Niki and her are a better match. The 90′s had embraced a lot of wlw energy and I want more of that on the show.
Underrated duo’s I want to see more of next season: Ozzie and Kitty (I cried when he came out to her), Nate and Gwen (their sibling’s episode was adorable), Red and Nikki (she gets him lol), Leia and Nikki (big sister vibes), and Nikki and Gwen (they may be too powerful together).
I hated almost everything they did with the old characters. Eric and Donna were fine but they didn’t stay in touch with Jackie and Kelso?? Jackie and Kelso stayed in town but lost contact with Red and Kitty?? Both of them stepped in when Jackie’s dad was arrested and her mom was AWOL. Jay and Leia should already know each other!! He could have been her connection to meet everyone else. They could have been childhood friends to lovers like Eric and Donna were. Fez’s story lines were good, it was what I expected from him. He stayed around, stayed in touch with Kitty and, while being successful, still struggles with getting too emotionally attached to women. They didn’t mention Hyde once but I understood that. Saying something like “he’s in jail” or “he’s a deadbeat” would be out of character after his development in the OG. But if he wasn’t either of those things, he had no reason to not be involved with the Forman’s who took him in for a better life.
All in all: potential is there. I would like this to get renewed to see more character development as there was little to none outside of Leia (again they are 15 and this is 6 weeks). I think it could be great like That 70′s Show. For now though it’s just a good, easy watch.

“I think you’re just afraid to be happy.” With Nate and Sarah
Hi there, Poorni! I really hope you like this a lot!
When Sarah and Nate are on the break at the moment in their dating life, he and Sarah were starting to argue to each other about each other's feelings a lot because Sarah and Nate were missing each other a lot but unfortunately, thanks to Nate and Sarah's stubbornness; they refused to admit that they missed each other a lot in the public eye but suddenly one day they got into a fight in the basement of the Forman household.
"I can't believe that you punched a guy in front of me Nate Runck." Sarah explained to Nate very angrily about Nate acting out ridiculously in front of the public eye like that; if they are still dating and not on their break; Sarah would definitely have sex in Nate's room passionately but now it's not the time to look back to the past and in the present time, she is still furious with Nate Runck about his whole ridiculous act.
"That guy was making a move on you, Sarah; I can't afford to lose you already." Nate replied back to Sarah, already missing her warmth, kindness, resilience, her smile, her blonde with blonde highlights hair that always smelled like vanilla and coconut water and most importantly, he misses Sarah's company a lot when she is around him but his stubbornness can be hard to convince somewhere else as well.
"I think you're just afraid to be happy with me Nate, because of your past relationship with Nikki; my childhood best friend and you know that, it's ok, Nate, because I will love myself anywhere I can." Sarah replied back to Nate sadly knowing all about his issues with his past relationship with Nikki who is her old childhood best friend and decides to leave Nate behind and goes back to her place where she could be crying freely to herself and trying so hard to let go of Nate sooner than later.
When Sarah has finally stopped crying to herself, she heard a rock hitting on her window, she is getting ready to go to bed herself; she decides to open the window and Sarah saw Nate with the rest of their friends in the driveway holding a boombox to her like the romantic-comedies that Sarah and Nate loves to watch together as a couple before they went on a break; she kind of missed that with Nate a lot and said to Nate patiently "What's going on here, Nate?"
Nate smiled softly at Sarah's beauty in the nighttime wearing her soft classic pink pajamas with shorts as he quickly remembered the first night that they had sex for the first time with the same pajamas that Sarah is wearing right now but now he remembers that he needs to apologize to Sarah about their fight last night "Sarah Paige Mitchell, I am so sorry about our fight, I was so afraid to lose you but not because of Nikki Garcia, it's because you are the best thing that has ever happened to me a lot, I know that you are going to struggle with your autism a lot actually, but you got me, your family, your friends and everyone else behind you."
Sarah smiled at Nate softly and decided to grab her dark pink dressing gown from the closet to go to Nate's arms and give Nate Runck a big hug from the bottom of her heart and also just because she misses being in Nate's arms a lot. "Just promise me, that we will never fight again, just talk to each other like mature individuals that we are, okay Nate." Sarah replied back to Nate lovingly, Nate nodded his head 'yes' brightly at Sarah's promise to him and the two of them kissed each other's lips passionately and just missing each other more than one ways.

Review on That 90s Show
Overall, I really enjoyed the show and it was better than expected, I loved seeing the original cast back but not repeatedly which made that 90s show more separated from 70s and did not focus solely on the past, but Leia growing up and her summer in Point Place. Many of the moments were cringe but that’s another reason what made 90s more authentic within itself and I guess captured the essence of Leia’s character through the show and emphasising her being the protagonist. It did not feel so much worse than 70s but it will never be the same, and I see that as a good thing cause what would even be the point of creating that 90s show for it to be the exact replica.
Leia
LOVED Leia’s character, definitely is Eric’s daughter with her smartass energy yet also extreme awkwardness. I really liked that she was portrayed like this as it made her more relatable, especially when she started liking Jay and then when they broke up, and generally feeling like an outsider and not good enough. I enjoyed her development and her learning new things and would love to see her again, she’s also extremely pretty lol. However, I did want her to be like Donna too, a bit more aloof and confident, but I personally think as she becomes more independent she will get the characteristics of Donna aswell.
Favourite Characters
Definitely Leia, Gwen and Ozzie. Leia is me, I am Leia. Gwen is just sooooo cool, her chaotic energy really made her stand out and she was just such a great friend to Leia and I am sensing lover vibes in near future from them. The actress is also extremely pretty and her style was amazing. Ozzie is just hilarious, his coming out was so beautiful and i’m glad he chose kitty to tell it to, I really enjoyed the trio of Leia, Gwen and Ozzie, probably cause that’s my irl trio too lol.
Leia and Jay’s Relationship
MIXED FEELINGS. I’m a sucker for opposites attract and really do believe Jay has genuine feelings for Leia and isn’t like his dad, he really is smitten and never not enjoyed being with Leia. I don’t ship them in the long run though unless Jay matures, I think Jay would be a good summer fling for Leia as she likes/liked him too and he got her out of her comfort zone and always understood everything she did and never judged her unlike the other characters in the show, so I would like to see more more of them too. Also they look really good together.
Leia and Nate
Probably am the only one that’s thinking this but it felt sooo forced, I expected Nate to not feel happy with Nikki anymore but not him liking Leia over a tiny moment when Leia still did like Jay (his bestest friend) and was upset over their very recent break up, I think the writers will definitely carry on that storyline in the future and will set them up but I also don’t see them lasting a long time cause I overall do not see the chemistry between them apart from platonic.
Nikki
I am so confused about Nikki. I relate to her in a lot of ways as I am very straightforward too, enjoy school and am very ambitious but it feels like the writers based her on Leia but gave her the confidence she always wanted, especially when it comes to boys. I don’t necessarily dislike her but it didn’t feel like she made any contribution to the show and her personality developed half way through the show, and she often had some opinions which made Leia second guess her judgment purely because that’s not what Nikki what have done. It just gives off doing this to Nikki on purpose so we without a realisation like Leia more and probably to also carry on the Leia and Nate storyline, although I personally do ship Nikki and Nate.

wip fic: lover (that '90s show + gwen/nikki/jay)
"This is pretty nice." Gwen smiles, making Nikki smile back and kiss her. The couple nuzzle their noses for a few minutes until…
"Hmm-hmm!"
Nikki and Gwen look to their left to see Jay crying while clutching a pillow.
"It's just so beautiful. The way they both to each other in the rain. And it’s so well shot too. The lighting is so—" Jay sobs into his hands. "I just—"
Gwen and Nikki chuckle and hold him tightly. Jay wraps his arms around the two and kisses their heads.
"It's okay baby. Come here." Nikki coos with a sigh before kissing his head. She looks at Gwen, who also sighs.
wip fic: I'm here and I want you (that '90s show + jikki)
Nikki shakes her head, "Unbelievable. She fucks up and then gets mad that you don’t respond the way she wants to." She sighs, "At least you guys were broken up when it happened. Me and Nate were still together and they knew and still did what they did."
Nikki looks at Jay, now a flash of regret flowing through her. "I'm sorry I didn't—"
"It's fine Nik. I know what you meant." Jay reassures his friend. Nikki's heart skipped a beat. No one aside from Nate had ever called her 'Nik', but she liked hearing it from Jay.
I have eight drafts and two of them were supposed to be deleted by now 😭

“This is coercion.”
Voice laced with suggestion in ways that Henry will definitely never forget any time soon, Alex replies, “So handcuff me, sweetheart.”

Serena gets out her phone and begins texting. Blair lunes, but her best friend uses her height advantage to raise the phone out of reach. Before Blair can resort to kicking, Serena grins as she gets a worryingly quick confirmation. "All done!"

“I love summer parties”
Can you write a prompt where Leia throws a party where Eric and Donna aren’t home and they end up crashing the party?
Ooh, this is a fun one! Thanks for the request, anon! If you have a request, send it to me here!
"This is gonna be great!" Jay announced, as he and Nate bounded through the Forman's back door. Leia held it open for them, while they carried in a keg. "I love summer parties!"
Leia grinned. She gestured to the kitchen island, where she'd assembled a dozen bags of chips and an array of dip. "I got some snacks," she said. "There's soda in the fridge for mixed drinks, and we can use my parents' liquor. I know where they keep it."
Gwen and Ozzie barreled inside, both making a beeline straight for the Ripples potato chips.
"Uh, hi guys," Leia opened her arms and then dropped them to her sides again, joking like she was offended.
"Hey Leia," Gwen nodded to her as she ripped open the bag with a loud squeak. "Sorry. We're starving. Someone refused to stop for food the whole entire drive," she huffed at her brother.
"Not my fault, Gwen," Nate was panting from the exertion of hauling the keg in from the curb. He watched as Jay tapped it now.
"That's right," Gwen rounded on Nikki now, and raised an eyebrow. "It's yours. We were supposed to leave at 4 o'clock, but Little Miss Thing wasn't ready until - "
"Okay, I'm Little Miss Thing," Ozzie interrupted impatiently. "And I am absolutely parched." He looked at Leia pointedly. "A drink, my host?"
"Oh," Leia nodded, caught off guard. "Right. Yes, right. Of course!" She grinned at her friends, and headed to the pantry She got out a stack of red plastic cups, and passed them around with a grin. "These are the cups that kids always have at parties in the movies," she nodded proudly. "I - I finally have friends to use them with." She smiled, looking around happily for a moment.
Ozzie cleared his throat. "Ah hem?"
"Right," Leia nodded, focusing herself again. She nodded to the tap. "Who wants beer?" Nate and Jay nearly stumbled over themselves to get to the nozzle first.
Leia nodded. Nikki, Gwen, and Ozzie still looked at her expectantly. "The rest of us," she smiled wickedly. "Are going on a field trip."
Ozzie clapped excitedly. They all grabbed their red solo cups and followed Leia into the dining room.
"Okay, this is where my parents keep their liquor," Leia gestured to the tall oak cabinet at the end of their formal dining table. "The very top shelf." She glanced around at her friends. "Who wants what?"
"Gin," Gwen said coolly.
"Vodka," Nikki said primly.
Ozzie hesitated. "I've... never drank hard liquor before," he admitted.
Leia let out a sigh of relief. "Neither have I."
They all turned to Nikki. "Try some vodka," she assured them. "We can stir it into orange juice. Do you have that?" she asked Leia.
"Yeah. Lots of it." She'd pushed one of the dining room chairs up against the cabinet, and used it to reach the top shelf. A clear, nearly full bottle of vodka was there and she pulled it down, but frowned as she handed it to Nikki. "Won't my parents notice if we drink too much?"
"We'll just replace it with water," Nikki grinned. "They'll just think it got old, or was shitty or something. Since gin is clear, we can do it with that, too."
Ozzie snapped his fingers. "You're an evil genius."
Gwen was shaking her head in wonderment, too. "I am liking you more and more."
They made their way back to the kitchen with their spirits, and Nikki played bartender at the kitchen island, mixing together juice, ice, and copious pours of the clear liquid. After just half her drink, Leia was feeling great.
"Hey you," she slunk over to Jay, and wrapped her arms around his waist. Partially to be flirty, and partially because the room was spinning. She booped his nose playfully when he righted her and pulled her close.
"Hey," he chuckled. But then he frowned. "Hey, where are your parents tonight, Leia?"
"Oh, they're out of town all weekend," she said absently. She rested her hand on his thigh, and slowly started moving it upwards towards his groin.
"Um, are you sure?" Jay sounded worried, and he set his hand over top of hers, stilling it.
"Yeah, of course I'm sure," she said, but his concern concerned her. She straightened up and massaged her temples. And then she heard what he'd heard. The sound of footsteps coming up the front walk. Keys in the front door.
"Shit!" She hissed. But it was too late. It was too late to do anything. Her parents were home.
"Oh, my god," Donna said, as she entered first. Her big suitcase with the ugly floral pattern was in her hand and she dropped it in surprise. "Leia," she gasped in surprise.
"What?" Eric was a few steps behind her. "What?" he called, running up behind his wife.
"I can - I can explain everything - " Jay stepped forward, his hand earnestly across his chest, attempting to deescalate the situation before it began. But Eric was having none of it.
"You," he sputtered, pointing an angry finger at Jay Kelso's chest. "You - what are you doing in my house?" He turned to his daughter, with wild eyes. "Leia?"
"I was having a party, Dad," Leia said, rolling her eyes. She gestured around them lamely. "Duh."
"Leia. Don't give your dad attitude," Donna chided. She gestured at the red cups. "Is that alcohol?" She raised her eyebrow when Leia didn't answer her. "Where'd you get it?"
Jay stepped forward again. "I brought it. I'm - " he swallowed when Eric glared at him. "I'm responsible for this. I'm sorry - "
"Alright, I don't want to hear anything more out of him," Eric complained, sticking his palm up in Jay's direction. Donna tugged on his sleeve.
"Eric."
He sighed and didn't say anything else, but he didn't look at Jay.
"I'm sorry," Leia finally spoke up, her voice quivering. "I - I'm sorry, okay? I just really missed my friends," she finished pathetically. "This is the last weekend of summer and I - I just wanted to be with my friends."
Donna wasn't being persuaded. She still crossed her arms across her chest, and now she shook her head. "Le-Le, you know I'm sorry you feel that way, but this was the wrong move, kid."
Neither was Eric, although he continued to direct most of his ire towards Jay. "Well. I'm just glad we got home in time to prevent any kind of... afterparty from happening." He glared at him again.
"Don't be gross, Dad."
Donna sighed and turned to the rest of the kids. "Do your parents all know you're down here?" she asked. They slowly shook their heads, and she sighed again, and glanced at her husband. "Eric, you're gonna have to drive them home."
"That's fine."
"To Wisconsin," she clarified.
"Oh," he brought his hand up to the back of his hair. He exhaled numbly as he realized she was right. "Shit."
"Nate and I drove us here," Jay moved to step forward again, but Donna held her arm out, preventing him from doing so.
"You've been drinking," she said, her eyebrow raised.
"No ma'am," Jay promised, raising his hand solemnly. "Just started, only a few sips. Nate, too. I promise you. The girls on the other hand..." he trailed off. They all watched as Nikki and Ozzie giggled at the sound the styrofoam take-out container Eric had deposited on the kitchen countertop made, and frowned.
"Okay," Donna brought a hand up to her forehead, weary. "Okay. Why don't you two drive home then? Eric will drive the girls and - "
"I'm one of the girls," Ozzie interrupted, clearing his throat. Donna smiled at him.
"Right. Eric will drive the girls."
"Are you sure?" Jay offered again. "My van's pretty roomy. It holds - "
"Just go, Jay," Donna patted his back, wearily. She glanced at Eric, and then back at Jay. "I don't think the two of you should be in a small, enclosed, space together for that long."
Eric shot Donna a look. 'He has a van?' he mouthed. And then, 'Absolutely not.'
Donna rolled her eyes, and patted Jay's back. "Off you go, Jay. Nate." She clapped her hands together impatiently when he didn't move. "I'm calling your mom tomorrow morning to tell her everything, got it? So you better go straight home."
"I - just - Leia?" He looked to her, a few feet away, as if unsure if he was allowed to touch her.
Donna chuckled. "Yeah, you'd better say goodbye. You won't be seeing each other for a looong time."
"Because I'm grounded?" Leia guessed glumly.
"Until you're 30!" Eric shouted. He was beginning to herd the rest of her friends back out the door, to his car. Leia waved and called to each of them as they went out the door.
"Eric, just... go," Donna sighed, tired. "It's a 90 minute drive." She frowned. "Without traffic."
"There's always traffic."
"I know. So go." They shared a quick peck and he disappeared again out the front door.
Jay and Leia were having a close, intimate-looking conversation, and Donna cleared her throat and tapped her foot a little. Wrap it up, Leia, her body language read.
They didn't, and eventually Donna threw her hands out, exasperated. "Alright, you get one kiss," she cautioned. "And then I mean it - Jay you need to go, and Leia you need to clean up this mess."
The teenage couple nodded earnestly, and then leaned forward and shared a quick, chaste kiss.
"Bye, girl," he grinned at her and flipped his hair suavely. Leia swooned.
"Buh bye," she giggled girlishly, twirling a strand of her hair around one finger.
He blew her a kiss on two fingers as he reached the door. "Until we see each other again," he promised, before he exited their house.
Donna watched her daughter, amused. "Man, you've got it bad," she laughed at her. She crossed into the kitchen and grabbed an empty garbage bag form the pantry. She opened it and handed it to Leia as she spoke.
"No I don't," Leia protested. She took the bag from her mom and started dropping trash into it.
Donna just grinned. "Uh huh." Then she nodded to the kitchen. "Don't forget to mop the floors."
"Okay."
"And vacuum the living room and the hall."
"Okay."
"And you can dust the bookshelves and water the house plants while you're at it, I mean this is supposed to be a punishment. You know what? I'll make you a list." She wandered off towards her study, mumbling something about finding her reading glasses.
Leia just groaned.

I have a few thougts about this:
It feels apparent to me that the Turners aim towards creating a show which provides a great working experience for the actors and actresses, both the new and the older ones. It is an attempt to reconnect and have fun together, and Kutcher and Kunis seemed to have liked this so much that they did not have any squabbles with their characters or their "retconning". The joy and fun to be back on set together stood out to be at all times when it came to the old cast.
I cannot stress this enough: (Some of) the young actresses and actors are extremely young and inexperienced, and unlike Mila Kunis they were cast intentionally cast with that age in mind. So I will always, always be very careful when criticizing their performance, as this is not only their debut on the big stage but constitutes their most formative years as a person. The Turners also know this and provide these young people with the greatest opportunity of their lives. Please remember the humans behind this show.
Leia and Gwen are intentionally written to mirror Eric and Donna, and this is most obvious when you directly contrast both shows first seasons. Leia as this very socially inept and insecure person, whose first impulse is to hide, yet Gwen as the confident, "no bs" young woman that knows exactly what she wants and goes straight after it. If you feel like Leia feels like Eric's child only, that's because she was given these character traits on purpose, and I feel like you are neglecting how Gwen matches Donna's trait. So, the purpose of these characters was not to strongly resemble their parents' characters, but to match the two main protagonists of T70S. Still, future seasons with character development can and will uncover more of Leia's traits which will resemble Donna more - but even in the first season, Leia and her mom share the most vulnerable moments, they are emotionally closer than Eric and Leia, and I would like to remind everyone that Leia's way of talking often resemblences Donna's - especially in moments of emotional outbursts.
The criticisms re Nate and Ozzie are undeserved and overblown imo. Nate especially is such a multi-level character with lots of depth - his superficial stupidity is not only a wonderful contrast to his extremely dedicated and smart girlfriend, which apparently was done intentionally for future story purposes and possibilities. His "dumbness" really only exists on the surface, as he demonstrated by extremely successfully "doctoring" in Nikki's dad's place. There is a level of intelligence to this character that is currently only hinted at. Yet all this is overshadowd by the extreme levels of his empathy: The "dumb" bromance between Nate and Jay feels really authentic because he is the literal fundament of their friendship. His worries about Nikki stem from his empathy, as well: Because he thinks about her future, her goals and highly regards her intelligence and personality, he is constantly worrying to be "not enough". His romantic side becomes apparent everytime he talks with Leia about her relationship with Jay or Gwen, and again he demonstrates a high amount of empathy in each instance. But the best scene to showcase the depth of this character is the interaction with Gwen about "the shirt": He openly talks about how he feels, how emotionally important several things are to him, how important his sister is to him who he just a few seconds ago intentionally antagonized out of spite. I could writer pages about this character alone, but then I'd be procrastinating my thesis even more.
Ozzie probably recieved the most criticism than any other character, and even though I can understand how people feel about him, I still think it is undeserved. The young actor does his best to play this snarky, snippy character who hides his emotions yet constantly "tells it like he sees it". That is an extremely hard role to play and constitutes a high level of contrast which is a lot to ask from a 13 year old. Especially the first part is extremely off-putting for many viewers, because the character quite literally is supposed to be emotionally detached, so we cannot emotionally connect with him at all - yet. I am very sure that there is a huge character development build towards and set up for him, which will let him finally drop his emotional shield and allow the viewer to properly relate to him. And I want to stress right here that this is probably very intentional because he's a gay kid in Wisonsin in the 90s. Hiding your emotions and therefore being viewed as cold, snarky, reserved and even antagonizing is something queer people growing up back then know extremely well. I only realized that I initially hated Ozzie because he reminded me of myself at that time, since we are literally experiencing only his defense mechanism, not his personality.
To me, the first season of T90S is extremely clever as it is visibly focussing on the superficial yet is only hinting towards the deeper things. I believe this show will have a huge glow-up with S2, when finally the entire rest of the characters' personalities is being laid bare, and only then will most viewers realize on rewatch how much of this was already planned out ahead and how much fundmant this season provided.
When it came out that Leia was supposed to be a product of a one night stand; I had this aching suspicion that Callie was casted as Eric's daughter. Not Donna. It wouldn't surprise me if that came out as the truth.
I don't think so, as Netflix had rejected that proposal, and iirc, the creators described a son coming to Red and Kitty's door. And, I think casting came some time after that first proposal was scrapped and after the second proposal was put into motion.
However, I do think the remnants of that idea remained in their second proposal, and its execution. It is readily apparent, by how they cultivated Leia's character, and who they chose to play her.
1. Leia is firmly designed as Eric's daughter, with Donna's traits being an afterthought. She is pretty much a smarter Eric with Donna-ish interests (but cultivated in an Eric-y way).
This would be fine, as a whole, if the other new characters were unique entities, but all the other new characters were made in this way. With the intended OG character as an overwhelmingly obvious base, but with a couple of differentiating traits. Like Gwen is way more extroverted and dynamic than Hyde, Nate is a jock (unlike clumsy Kelso), etc. They did better with some new characters than others. Nate and Ozzie, in particular, are the worst of the bunch.
2. Callie can easily pass as Eric's daughter, but Eric's daughter with someone else. Not with Donna, because there are physical traits that don't mesh with both Eric and Donna being her parents, unless something from two/three generations back suddenly popped up. Her parents and grandparents all have light colored eyes; where did the dark brown eyes come from? Her parents and grandparents are very pale/cool toned, but she has olive skin that tans.
*****
Plus, the first proposal really illustrates how little the Turners care about the characters and the integrity of the OG show (minus season 8, which also had zero integrity). The second, fleshed out version we got is only marginally better, too.
Thus, I think T9S is a result of this weird mix of tunnel vision and adhering to real-life circumstances. With some Star Wars gimmicks sprinkled in for good measure.
1. The Turners were reminiscing about their daughter's Gen X teenagehood in the 90s, and they were willing to discard/contort canon (and ages, as they oddly attempted with Eric) to make it happen. When, obviously, the gang's kids (other than Betsy) would probably be Millennials. Duh.
2. Hyde was omitted (entirely?) due to DM. Jackie and Kelso were plopped together because of Ashton and Mila being together in real life. So JH and KB were likely retconned, as was most of the second half of the show, with only convenient, insignificant details/gimmicks from later seasons remaining. Except for JF and the last few eps, because Mila and Wilmer were putting up a stink.
Thus, T9S is a result of these two major factors, instead of keeping true to the characters. If they did, there would be a That 00s Show revolving around JH and ED's kids, at their houses, perhaps with Eric being a Mr. Feeny type and/or with Hyde being the owner of the kids' default hangout spot, Grooves. But that would never happen, for a variety of real-life reasons, and there's money to be made in an ill-conceived venture instead.

Fanti: a Panfandom Reclist
Lately I’ve become enamored of “fanti” fanworks, fanworks which come from a place of simultaneous love and frustration toward canon. What do fans do when we love something but we also can’t stand parts of it? We transform it to embrace the parts we love and confront the parts we don’t. So here are some fanworks that do that.
Fanvids
What We Had by cherryice (Doctor Who)
A fanvid about Martha, Mickey, and Jack, the companions most screwed over by the Tenth Doctor. You can feel the absolute love of these characters, and the absolute rage at the way they were shafted in favor of white, straight companions.
Origin Stories by GiandujaKiss Smithee (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
A fanvid about Spike’s cool swishy leather coat. Which he stripped off the corpse of a black woman who he killed. In this vid, I feel a transcendent love of Nikki Wood and all the other Slayers, and a fierce conviction that Spike should never have worn the coat again, once he had a soul and could comprehend his crimes.
Fanfics
Sitting Left of the Dealer by BlackEyedGirl (Leverage)
This fic critiques the racist undertones to Nate’s often patronizing and dismissive relationship with Hardison by making Nate also Black. In this AU, Nate and Hardison are closer friends, brought together by their unique challenges on cons. Also, it makes you realize how much Nate’s grifting style in canon relies on white privilege.
my boy builds coffins by waldorph (Star Trek AOS)
The absolutely incredible premise of this fic is that the Star Trek movies with Chris Pine are the origin story of the mirror universe in Star Trek TOS. It makes way too much sense, when you think about the militarism of Starfleet in AOS, and how that mirrors (ha!) the heightened militarism of the mirror universe in TOS.
Animorphs Alternate Ending [part 1, part 2] by Jennifer Lott (Animorphs)
A classic Animorphs fic written in the early 2000s hosted on its own website, now cross-posted to Wattpad. Animorphs is a mixed bag when it comes to disability. It has amazing disabled characters, but they all get cured or killed. In this fic, the disabled auxiliary Animorphs learn that Jake means to sacrifice them for the greater good, and they refuse to put themselves on the chopping block.
The Battle of Songhu by azn-jack-fiend (Doctor Who)
This fic subtly criticizes the British triumphalism of Doctor Who by setting the classic two-parter The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances in 1937 Shanghai instead of London. In the canon episode, the Doctor is able to reassure the unfortunate Nancy that despite the hardship of the Blitz, Britain will triumph. In the Sino-Japanese War, though, the Doctor can give no such comfort to a Shanghainese woman. What’s a Doctor to do in a country being devastated by imperialism instead of a country committing imperialism?
my last thought a fever dream by menswear (Ender’s Game)
lol so what if we dunked on the massively homophobic Orson Scott Card by making Valentine a real human woman and making the homoerotic subtext between Ender and Alai into text. a related genre: any and all fics where Harry Potter is trans now.
What the Water Gave Me by iesika (Hannibal)
I have not seen Hannibal or read any fic, but when I asked my friends about fanti fic, my friend haygahr recommended this as a fic that critiques the show by engaging on a real level with the kinds of murders that happen most often in real life, and their devasting consequences, rather than treating murder as a plot device or aesthetic.
Changes of Perspective by Sixthlight (Rivers of London)
I have loved the Rivers of London book series for years, but had to quit it last year because my ACAB levels had reached critical and I could no longer engage with books valorizing cops. Luckily, I still have this, the ACAB AU of Rivers of London where the Folly is full of awful oppressive magic cops, and Peter Grant and his friends are the magical resistance.
The Realms of the Immortals by nirejseki (Tortall)
Daine hated Stormwings for their monstrous nature, and killed her share of them. Canon pushed back on Daine’s prejudices to some extent, especially via the character of Rikash, but it never really went far enough to depict Stormwings as people, just like dragons and griffins and all the other Immortals who are less stinky and off-putting to humans. I love this fic for bringing all Stormwings, not just Rikash, to full color as a culture worthy of respect.
What We Pretend We Can’t See by gyzym [text, podfic] (Harry Potter)
This is an “epilogue? what epilogue?” Harry Potter fic that straight up takes potshots at the epilogue. In this fic, Harry tried to be with Ginny, tried to be an Auror, and neither of these things has worked out, and his years of trauma and abuse aren’t something he can easily shake off. I love the meta bit where Malfoy learns that Dumbledore was gay all along and is positively outraged that he didn’t come out as an example to the queer youth of Hogwarts. Yeah, JKR, why didn’t he? Huh? Is it because you’re a ‘phobe? Yes it is!

Neon signs and framed pictures lined almost every single wall as soon as we walked into this space. From the corner of my eye, Nicole turned her smile downward. Nostalgia seemed to wash over her perfect face. Now, various patrons did not mind our entry, still mingling among one another as music played in all directions.
I used to love working here.” Nicole just continued holding my hand, not bothering to immediately order drinks yet for some odd reason. I did not know what to believe, especially since customers were seemingly oblivious to my own presence.
“What changed your mind?” I whispered and gently questioned my best friend, squeezing her palm for a moment. Those booming rhythms still thumped out loud, currently signaling all-around happened , despite the end of summertime here.
“We’ll talk about that later. Hold on.” Nicole mumbled towards my ear, but paused before standing near one of the only vacant stools. Brackish air still would waft to my nostrils from outdoors, reminding me that we reached the sea after flying.
“All right.” I stepped backwards, watching as she released my hand and moved away from me. My thoughts jumbled once more until she cleared her throat and emitted some sort of cheerful call out loud.
“Ooh-ooh, Ooh-ooh!” Her voice echoed, facing the back of this venue instead of resounding towards this main area. Before too many patrons could their heads grumble with confusion, steps nearly thundered and presumed workers appeared.
“Nicole!” Three other women seemed to yell at once, shocked and joyful that Nicole arrived. Even with the reality of time, every member of that trio seemed to age in the same manner as my best friend, still extremely attractive but wiser than before.
_______
Once Nicole had introduced me to her coworkers, I quickly discovered that several of the framed pictures here in this bar featured visitors. Models. Athletes. Socialites. Entertainers. Millionaires. Billionaires. The list seemed to trail on and on here.
“Is that how you became involved with the hospitality industry?” Facing Nicole, I had looped my arm around her shoulder as we all cornered into one booth, watching this crowd of young people and different bartenders work around us.
“People suggested modeling for years, but I ended working for a resort down here before starting Trove Tourism as a venture. If it wasn’t for the business, I’d probably show up in music videos back then.” Nicole answered, smiling.
“We all knew that Nikki would have been great, but life moved differently before everything could start.” One of her former coworkers smiled, glancing between Nicole and I.
“Tina, Is that a new ring?” Nicole asked her coworker, reaching out move away from my hold and lifting Tina’s hand.
“Don’t get too excited, Nicole. I just changed its jewels. Nate and I divorced just before The Snap.” Tina seemed to reference her ex-husband here.
“Damn. I’m sorry, T.” Nicole whispered, squeezing Tina’s hand in the name of reassurance.
“Life promises nothing, girl. We all know that.” Tina mumbled, lowering her eyes for just a moment.
“Absolutely.” Nicole agreed.
_____
“Your friends are wonderful.” Later that evening, we sat on the sofa together mindlessly “watching” television in our beachfront hotel suite during this conversation.
“You think they’re great now, imagine young Tina decades ago.” Nicole laughed, handing over this Twizzler candy to me.
“Do you have any old pictures online, perhaps?” I questioned, eyeing her phone as it perched onto the coffee table nearby.
“Sure!” Nicole beamed as usual, opening Instagram before I could mention anything else.
“Let’s see.” I chuckled, watching once more as she stopped scrolling to show me her phone.
“Here’s a good one. Me, Tina, Cheryl, Olivia and Vanessa Bryant. We were just about to close for the night when Vanessa showed up.” Whilst Nicole explained the picture, I read its caption quietly.
#TBT Circa 2002 - One of my favorite moments. She only ordered this glass of water and chatted with us for just a few minutes right before returning to the hotel. We love you so much, Vanessa, forever and always.
“That is a sweet photograph.” I grinned as she continued scrolling through more pictures and videos to give me another story.
“Thanks.” Nicole whispered again, kissing my cheek.
“You’re welcome.” I scooted closer on this sofa, closing space between us as my eyes looked towards her phone once more.
“Oh, I found another one.” Nicole returned her joy, hoping that I would smile again.
“Who is that?” I asked, narrowing my eyes.
“Greg surprised me with flowers in this old picture. It was my birthday.” Nicole told me, seemingly reminiscent.
We both turned silent, not discussing Gregory further to ruin this evening.
_____
The following day, although I had gifted this vacation, Nicole offered her own surprise. Once we sat down together after breakfast, I noticed that some kind of footage reached our television screen.
“Nikki, say hi to the camera!” Onscreen, someone gestured for Nicole to move her head as she shook this cocktail, working to give one customer their order despite noise of this space. She turned, grinning as expected and handing over one drink.
“This is amazing. How did you find this footage?” I expressed.
“I’ve already had it on my laptop for nostalgia, but connected everything to the television.” Nicole said, smiling again.
“Who is filming?” I asked, genuinely curious.
“Tina. She went to college for Video Production and had time off that night before showing up with a camera.” Nicole reminisced once more, discussing her friend.
“I rarely had true friends as a young man, let alone people this brilliant. Especially considering the fact that publicity impacted my personal life in Sokovia.” I admitted, allowing myself to set my head onto her shoulder.
“If privacy was an issue, why not tell your family?” Nicole glanced towards, looking downwards as my eyes faced her perfect expression.
“Communication was a struggle for my father and I. As I’ve said, Mum would’ve aided more if we were not as revered.” I sighed, feeling the touch of Nicole’s hand whilst she smoothed back my hair.
“What about your time in the military? Wouldn’t you build comradery with soldiers despite those ranks?” she whispered. It was a fair question after all. Silence fell between us before I responded.
“Yes and no. We supported one another in times of trouble of course, but I rarely contacted anyone between deployments. Most soldiers were also too distraught before even considering reaching me afterward. The bloodshed we inflicted on missions proved brutal, but we took no pleasure in them.” My words felt exposed, but she still held me, listening.
“I wish I could give advice on how you can heal. If it were possible, I would have already helped by now.” Nicole said, glancing down towards me again with those gorgeous brown eyes.
“You may not be able to rid my thoughts of every nightmare, but at least you have accepted me again.” I nearly drifted back to sleep despite the morning, still warming up in her embrace.
“I love you.” she kissed the top of my head, vowing her loyalty once more.

always (part six) | harry holland series
summary: you finally give birth to your little angel, reveal her special name to harry and let the holland family hold her
word count - 3.3k
warnings - language? , mentions of birth
Being 9 months pregnant was ridiculously difficult. You yourself felt like the child, rather than the one you were carrying, at this point. You couldn’t do anything without someone else to help you. The Hollands had been utter angels to you, helping you with every little thing to make sure you were completely prepared to give birth.
“How you feeling today, mama?” Tom teased as you entered the kitchen to fulfill, yet another craving.
“Tired, and huge.” You whined, pouting at the oldest Holland. He wrapped his arms around your shoulders and hugged you.
“Not long now, then you’ll have your adorable little girl.” You nodded your head, smiling at the thought.
“Feels like it’s taking forever.” You complained.
“Why don’t you go take a nap?” You nodded, thanking Tom before heading upstairs to Harry’s room. You weren’t sure where he was, assuming he was doing something with either his twin or his little brother.
Little did you know that this sleep was not going to be as peaceful as you originally hoped.
A sharp pain in your lower abdomen woke you from your sleep, jolting upright and cupping your large belly. You took deep breaths, letting your eyes adjust to being awake before checking the time on the clock next to Harry's bed.
You convinced yourself it was nothing, pushing yourself out of bed to use the bathroom before you’d go back to sleep like nothing happened.
However, another sharp pain followed by a gush of water made you panic.
“Harry!” You shouted, not knowing where in the house he was. He ran into his childhood bedroom with a scared look on his face, finding you standing in the middle of the floor, cupping the bottom of your belly standing in a puddle of water and squeezing your eyes shut in pain.
“Hey.” He placed his hand on your lower back, the other lifting your chin to look at him. “What happened?” You panted as the contraction wore off.
“I-I think my water just broke.” His eyes widened, yelling for his Mum.
For the last few weeks of your pregnancy, you’d been staying in the Holland household just in case anything were to happen. It also meant you had Nikki’s help when you finally went into labour, just like right now.
“What’s wrong?” Harry looked at his mum in fear.
“Her water broke.” He simply stated. Nikki nodded, refusing to show any sign of panic as she made her way over to you.
“We need to get you to the car, Harry can you-“ He nodded, taking your hand and being careful to walk you downstairs, stopping halfway to help you wait out your contraction.
When you were finally in the car you noticed Sam was now driving, giving him a tight lipped smile and a thank you.
“You’re doing so well, y/n.” You laid your head on Harry’s shoulder, squeezing his hand as you took deep breaths to try and calm the pain.
“So proud of you, bug.” You smiled, looking up at him.
“You haven’t called me that in years.” Truthfully, Harry stopped calling you that after he met Nate. there was one time where he let it slip, like a habit in front of him and he didn’t react too kindly about it.
“It just kinda slipped out.” You tucked your head into his neck again.
“I like it, don’t worry.” The drive felt as though it was never going to end. You wanted nothing more than to make it to the hospital and get your baby out of you so this pain would stop. Every few minutes you’d squeeze the life out of Harry’s hands, crying out in pain.
“We’re here.” Sam announced. You were helped into the hospital where you were led to a private room, your contractions growing closer together and, arguably more painful, as time passed by.
“Harry.” You whimpered, clutching his arm as another contraction shot through your body. “I don’t think I can do this.”
“You can, you’re one of the strongest people I know.” He said, pressing his lips to your head to try and calm you down.
“It hurts.” You looked up at him with tears threatening to fall from your eyes, his heart shattering as he had to witness the pain his favourite person was going through.
“You can do this, I know you can.” Half an hour later you were giving birth, one of the most painful, and if not, the most painful experience of your life. Harry stayed with you the whole time like he’d promised you all those months ago, letting you squeeze the life out of his hand. All while he’d whisper words of encouragement and praise to you.
“One final push, y/n.” You panted like a dog that needed water, listening to the doctor countdown from 10. The final push was the most relieving one of all, your baby girl finally being brought out into the world, her hearty wails echoing around the hospital room.
You leaned your head on Harry’s chest while they cleaned her, utterly worn out. The tiny girl was placed on your chest, a small sob slipping past your lips as you stared down at her.
One by one the doctors started to leave the room, checking you and baby were okay first.
Once you, Harry and your girl were left alone, you finally grinned widely.
“I can’t even believe she’s real.” You said.
“Did you decide on a name?” He asked, bending down to be closer to your height. You nodded with a grin, taking his hand into yours.
“What is it?” You turned your attention back to her.
“Happy birthday, Lily rose y/l/n.” You kissed her head, tears running down your face as you stared at your perfect creation. Harry grinned, tearing up slightly as he put it altogether.
“Roses for Lily?” You looked at him and nodded.
“My way of honouring you for everything you’ve done for me.” He leaned down and hugged you, trying to not let you know that he was secretly crying over the sweet gesture.
“A december baby, just like Paddy.” You giggled, nodding your head. You stroked her cheek as gently as you possibly could, feeling too emotional and filled with adoration to even speak. Her tiny, bright eyes fluttered to a close, feeling content enough with being in her mother’s arms to fall asleep.
You and Harry didn’t speak for a while, scared that even a quiet noise would wake up your precious angel. This continued until Harry eventually broke the silence, just to tell you how amazing you were.
“ ‘m so proud of you.” Harry stroked his fingers through your hair, disregarding that you were a sweaty mess as you finally held your little girl. She slept soundly as the two of you admired the little bub.
“Thank you Harry, really.” You whispered. He furrowed his eyebrows.
“For what?” He asked.
“For helping me through this, all of it, I wouldn’t have survived the last 9 months without you.” You told him, tearfully.
“You don’t have to thank me, I would never make you do this alone.” He kissed your head, a small smile permanently glued to your face. Both of your attentions were directed back to Lily.
“She’s absolutely perfect.” He confessed. You nodded in agreement.
The little bub started to blink open her eyes, her sleep not lasting very long, showing you the gorgeous orbs that were the same colour as yours.
“Hi pretty girl.” She let out a yawn, the unknown action scaring her, you watched as her face scrunched up and she began to cry.
“Oh no, you’re okay, was just a yawn.” You nuzzled your nose against her head, gently placing your lips against her skin to soothe her.
“I know, it was scary hm?” The little one calmed down after a little while, entranced with Harry who sat in her eye line.
“That was the cutest thing ever.” You giggled, motioning for Harry to take a seat on your bed. He carefully leaned over and traced her cheek with his thumb, tearing up when her tiny hand wrapped around his much bigger thumb.
You smiled at the sight, laying your head against his chest. You didn’t want to kill the happy mood, but you couldn’t help but let your mind drift off to thinking about Nate.
“Should I text him, just to let him know?” You wondered aloud. Harry looked down at you and noticed the uncertainty clouded in your eyes.
“Did he ever respond to your last text?” You shook your head. Even though he said he wasn’t ready to be a father, you’d still sent Nate updates every now and then, sometimes pictures of sonograms, or sometimes if she was kicking, just to let him know his girl was doing okay.
“Just leave it, he clearly doesn’t care.” You nodded sadly, glancing back down at your bub, you noticed the discomfort on her face before she began to tear up, quickly turning into a heart wrenching wail, your own heart aching not knowing what was wrong.
“Y/n?” You lifted your head and glanced at Nikki standing in the doorway of your hospital room. “The midwife said she might need feeding, she should be in soon.” You nodded, cooing at the baby to try and stop her cries. You motioned for Nikki to come inside, letting her take a spare seat beside your bed, looking down at Lily with a watery smile.
There was a knock on your hospital room door a few minutes later, opening just slightly for the woman to pop her head around and announce her presence.
“Hi y/n.” You looked up, spotting the nurse and giving her a warm smile. “Are you ready to try and feed her?”
You nodded your head, Harry’s eyes widening when he realised what was happening and that you would have to partly undress.
“I’ll wait outside.” He offered, trying to be a gentleman.
“Oh, are you sure?” You didn’t mind Harry being here while you fed Lily, but you respected that he might feel uncomfortable. He kissed your head before leaving the room, going to update his brothers on how everything was going.
Feeding Lily for the first time was a strange experience, but you were glad you had Nikki and the midwife by your side to tell you it was completely normal and you would eventually get used to it.
After feeding, burping and rocking the girl to sleep, Harry came back in, switching with his mother to take the place beside your bed. Nikki kissed your head in a motherly way and decided to leave to let you sleep.
“Nikki, if you want to go home, you can.” You said, feeling bad to make the family wait with you.
“Are you sure, we can always stay?” You smiled and nodded.
“I’ll have to stay here until tomorrow anyway, i’ll come straight to you.” She nodded, bidding you, Lily and her son goodbye.
You and Harry both sat in silence for a few minutes, just watching the baby in your arms sleep peacefully. Harry was, once again, first to break the silence.
“Why don’t you get some sleep, in the nicest way possible, y’look exhausted.” Harry commented, stroking his fingers through your hair as your eyes fought to stay open. Lily sleeping calmly in your arms.
“Don’t wanna miss a second.” You whined, looking over at Harry with a pout he found adorable.
“I'll watch her, I promise.” You nodded reluctantly, Harry carefully took the baby wrapped in the fluffy, white blanket into his arms, listening to your instructions on how to hold her properly, then assisting you in getting comfortable on the hospital bed.
For the next few hours, Harry stayed mesmerised with the newborn in his arms, while you got some well deserved sleep after an extremely long day.
———
Harry drove you to the Holland house before driving you home from the hospital the next morning, watching you be completely entranced with your little creation. You were so careful with every movement you made, trying not to scare or overwhelm her.
She was properly introduced to each of the Holland siblings, giving the boys the chance to hold her and just talk to her. The whole thing turned out to be a lot more chaotic than you would have originally anticipated.
“Where does my hand go?” Tom asked frantically. You guided one to the back of her head and then the other to hold her back. You told Tom he was doing perfect, calming his nerves slightly.
Paddy was much less of a nightmare than Tom, not even needing the help to position his hands. He looked in awe of the tiny human that was staring up at him, his heart all fuzzy and excited.
Sam was a pro, clearly having held many babies in his lifetime, probably because of all the Holland siblings he could be trusted the most with a human life. “She’s gorgeous, y/n.” Harry and Tom nodded, Paddy still not taking his eyes off the girl in his brother's arms.
Nikki cried while getting to finally hold Lily, her heart swelling with pride. You were practically a daughter to her and she couldn’t find the words to explain how proud she was of you. Harry watched your eyes grow heavier and heavier, deciding it was time to take you back to your own home now. They were all reluctant to let you leave, making you promise you’d be back as soon as possible, which of course you were more than happy to do.
Driving back to your own home, you were filled with the excitement of the idea of introducing Lily into the place she’d grow up.
It didn’t take long to get there, Harry helping to carry your stuff inside while you cradled your babygirl.
“This is your home Lily.” Harry watched you both, practically with heart eyes bulging from his head. You showed Lily around some more. You were fully aware that she didn’t understand anything you were saying, but you were hoping that just your voice was capable of soothing the girl. Harry was carrying your hospital bag with him as you led him to the nursery.
You had some hesitations about leaving her in a separate room from you, knowing that she’d need you multiple times in the night anyway.
“Would it be too much trouble to put her crib in my room?” You asked him, hoping he’d be able to move it for you. He shook his head no, taking your bag to your room first. When he came back with the crib you could see he was visibly struggling to get it through the door. You felt bad for laughing, but watching Harry struggle like this just seemed to crack you up.
“I’m glad you find this funny.” He muttered sarcastically, pushing his curls out of his eyes.
“I’m sorry.” You muttered through your giggles, rubbing Lily’s back.
The crib was rolled into place a little space away from your bed, letting you lay your baby girl down on the soft fabric of the blanket inside.
“There we go.” You watched the girl quickly fall asleep in her new crib, your heart warm and happy. Harry sat beside you, shoulders and thighs touching you were that close.
“How are you feeling?” He asked.
“Incredible, I never thought i could love someone so much.” He couldn’t help but smile at you, you looked perfect to him right now. The dopey smile never left your face, the same giddy feeling sitting in the pit of your stomach since the night before. A small yawn escaped your lips, Harry thinking it was the cutest sound ever.
“You tired?” He asked. You nodded, laying your head on his shoulder.
“Come on.” You furrowed your eyebrows, tilting your head like a confused puppy.
“What?” You asked, rubbing your tired eyes.
“Get some sleep, you’ve had a long day.” He kissed your head. You checked on Lily one more time.
“What if she needs me?”
“She doesn’t need you right now, at least get some sleep while you still can.” You sighed before you climbed into bed, already in pyjamas. You pulled your covers up over your body, right up to your chin and almost passed out as soon as your head hit the soft pillow, not realising you were this unbelievably tired.
“Will you stay?” You asked quietly, the idea of being without him seeming to scare you slightly. Harry smiled, nodding his head, laying down beside you. You cuddled into his side, resting your head on his chest comfortably.
“Sweet dreams y/n.” You hummed, nuzzling your face in his warm hoodie.
“Love you, Harry.” You mumbled. He blushed, a silly smile spreading on his face.
“Love you more.” He mumbled, right as you drifted off.
Just as you had suspected, Lily needed you sooner than your body appreciated, seeing as from the time on the clock you’d only been asleep a couple of hours. You woke up to the sound of her cries from the crib, pushing yourself up out of bed and shuffling over to her.
“Oh no, you’re okay.” You hadn’t realised that you’d woken Harry in your haste to get to Lily, the male stretching his muscles, confused himself about when he had fallen asleep.
“She okay?” He asked, voice raspy and full of sleep.
“ ‘m not sure.” You’d already checked her nappy, finding it clean, your next thought being that she was hungry.
“Do you mind if i try and feed her?” Harry was slightly taken back, eyes wide, reduced to a stuttering mess as he thought about you having your bare chest exposed in front of him.
“No, of course, s-she needs to eat, go ahead.” He turned his head away to give you some privacy, finding anything else to put his focus on. He heard you huff, a small whimper coming from you as well.
“Everything okay?” He asked, hearing you sniffle.
“She won’t latch on.” You complained, pulling your shirt up and cradling Lily to your chest. He knew you well enough to know you were getting stressed, not knowing how to help her.
“Can i try?” He asked, noticing the tears welled up in your waterline. You nodded your head, assisting Harry in taking Lily into his arms.
He cooed at the small baby, shushing her and holding her head just under his chin. It didn’t take long for her cries to begin to quieten down, Harry’s scent or presence must have had a strong effect on her because she was calm again in a few minutes.
You didn’t have the energy to be sad or mad that Harry was able to handle her better than you already. You simply rested your chin on his shoulder, kissing his cheek as a thank you.
“You go back to sleep, I'll hold her just a little bit longer.” You nodded sleepily, climbing back into your bed and falling to sleep with the knowledge that Lily was in perfectly good hands.
“You’re okay, aren’t you?” The girl blinked up at him, her eyes curious as she watched the curly haired man talk. She obviously didn’t understand a word he was saying, but that didn’t matter now that she was calm and happy.
“Goodnight Lily.” He carefully placed her down in the crib, watching over her until she drifted off. Harry climbed into your bed as quietly as he could, trying his hardest to not wake you with all the movement.
He froze when you rolled over, accepting your warmth as you cuddled back into his side like you were earlier.
“Is she okay?” You asked, half awake.
“She’s perfect.”

Nikki was in her bedroom, reading her book for the past few minutes. Her parents were out for a romantic dinner, leaving the house all to herself.
All of a sudden Gwen bursted into her room, making Nikki look up. She couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the brunette looked when angry. Especially when her gorgeous hazel eyes flared up. Nikki licked her lips when seeing the small bit of skin exposed under Gwen’s crop top, revealing her belly button.
Nikki smirked, “May I help you?” She crossed her arms, refusing to show Gwen how she really felt. A few hours ago, she found out from Ozzie that Gwen was the one who told Leia not to do anything about the almost kiss thing. That she knew the whole time and was just a fucking bystander.
Gwen scoffed, “How could you sleep with Jay? Leia’s ex, Nate’s brother.” Nikki and Jay? Jay and Nikki? That made no sense. Nikki could be with anyone. She’s smart, funny, gorgeous. Yet she chose Jay?
Nikki crossed her arms, “How could Leia almost kiss Nate knowing that I was still dating him, huh? And I know that you’re the one who Leia not to do anything about it. ‘Cause apparently Leia’s feelings are all that matter! Never mind the fact that Nate had a fucking girlfriend. Because Leia wasn’t the one who almost got cheated on, so it’s all fine. And you know what, spare me the lecture about Jay. Because you know what, I wanted to hurt Leia and Nate. Make them feel as humiliated as I felt!”
”So you decided to fuck Jay Kelso?” Gwen snapped. She knew Nikki was right, but still felt unhappy about her and Jay fucking. Nikki smirked, “Yep. And you know, I’m gonna call him back. It was a real good fuck. I think I might actually be in love with him.“ She was bluffing. Not that Jay was bad in bed, but something was missing.
Gwen scoffed, “You can’t be serious.” At this point, Gwen was fueled with jealousy and rage. The brunette knew Nikki had every right to fuck who she wants, but she wanted to be the one who Nikki was fucking. She wanted to be the one in Nikki’s bed, not Jay.
Nikki smirked, “Maybe I am. What do you even care Runck?” She didn’t know why she was doing this. But the way Gwen’s nostrils were flaring up made Nikki so hot. She continued, “It’s all about princess Leia’s feelings. How does she feel about me fucking her ex? How does Nate feel? Never mind the fact that they fucked me over. It’s all abou—“
Wanting Nikki to stop talking, Gwen pulled her in for a kiss to get her to stop talking. This was in no way a gentle kiss. Lips were being bitten, their teeth were smashing together. She smirked, forcefully stroking Nikki’s cheeks. Nikki clutched onto Gwen’s neck, tugging at her crop top right before ripping it off her body.
Gwen pushed Nikki onto the bed, still kissing. The brunette tore off Nikki’s dress, throwing it to the ground. Nikki arched her back, feeling Gwen’s kisses on her skin. She tried to ignore the lingering heartbeat in her chest. Gwen doesn’t care about me. Nikki repeatedly reminded herself. If Gwen cared, then she would’ve at least considered my feelings.
Gwen was pinned onto the bed, clothes torn off as a nude Nikki was straddling her. She smirked, “This was the real reason why you were upset about me fucking Jay, wasn’t it? You wanted to be the one I was fucking. You wanted to be the one underneath me, didn’t you?” Gwen just glared in response but knew that Nikki was right.
Gwen fumed, “Shut. Up.” Nikki smirked and hopped off, grabbing her strap on. Once it was on, she began thrusting roughly into the brunette. Gwen whimpered, clawing onto her lover’s back, drawing blood in the process. She looked into Nikki’s eyes, trying not to show emotion. But things were starting to get out of hand as Nikki’s bed began to slightly collapse.
Nikki’s attempt at keeping her guard up was also failing, as she kept biting her lip to stop herself from crying. She didn’t bat at eye at the fact that her bed broke. How could Gwen do this to her? Why did she tell Leia not to do anything? And why did she lie about the almost kiss? Was it her? Was what they had not worth it?
She got off of Gwen, letting out her tears. This never should’ve happened. Not like this. Nikki clasped onto her pillow, backing away from her lover.
Gwen began to snap out of her angry lust haze and looked towards Nikki to see her sobbing. “Nikki?” She exhaled in concern. Nikki looked up at her, completely tear stricken. Her small cries turned into sobs, making Gwen heart break. “Tell me why? Just please tell me.”
Gwen started, “Nikki, I-“ Nikki cut her off, still crying. “You just stood there and let me spiral. And you told Leia that she didn’t have to do anything. That her almost kissing my then boyfriend should just be a distant memory.”
Gwen began to let out tears. She knew Nikki was right. But Nikki needed to know that it wasn’t as simple as that. “What was I supposed to do Nikki? Leia’s my best friend and Nate’s my brother.” That only made Nikki cry harder, “You could just said that she needed to tell me. I was Nate’s girlfriend Gwen! And he and someone who I thought was my friend stabbed me in the back! And you all just…completely shut me out!”
Nikki bit her lip, still sobbing. “I think you should go. Okay, I-I need to be alone. Funyun please…” She pleaded, making Gwen cry harder. Gwen tearfully nodded and began putting back on her clothes. She just fucked up Nikki’s heart. Again.
Gwen left a kiss on Nikki’s forehead and smiled sadly. “I’m so sorry baby. For what it’s worth, hiding this from you was not easy for me.” She climbed out the window, leaving Nikki alone. Nikki continued to sob harder and harder. They had the worst first time and now she’s gone. The woman she loved was gone.

August 23, 1995; 11:45 PM
Gwen put away the computer after a long talk with Leia. She took down her ponytail, running a hand through her own hair. She looked down to see Nikki’s peach scrunchie. When Ozzie wasn’t looking, Gwen ended up grabbing it and putting it in her pocket.
Gwen began to toy with it, thinking about Nikki. She missed her so much and just wanted her back. But after the night they slept together, things wouldn’t be the same. Gwen had thought that their first time would be more special than this. Kisses all over each other’s faces, hand holding, giggles, smiles.
The sex was still good, but there was no gentle touches, no tenderness. No amount of joy or emotion in their eyes. She didn’t know what she was thinking, pushing her anger onto Nikki. While Nikki did also do the same. It was all just so fucked up and Gwen wished that she had never even kissed Nikki in the first place.
*knocks*
Gwen raised an eyebrow and got out of bed, looking to see Nikki. Her heart was racing while her stomach began to feel funny. She didn’t think Nikki’d show up after that night.
The brunette opened the window, making Nikki move closer. “Can I come in?” Nikki whispered. Gwen nodded, lending her hand for Nikki to take. Once she got in, Nikki dusted herself clean.
Gwen ran a hand through her waves, “What are you doing here?” She exhaled. Nikki bit her lip, moving closer. “I needed to see you.” Gwen exhaled, nodding slowly. She didn’t know how to feel or what to do. So the brunette moved closer, pulling Nikki in for a kiss. Gwen wrapped her arms around the raven haired girl’s waist.
Nikki sighed into Gwen’s kiss, wrapping her arms around the brunette’s waist. All their kisses so far had been full of anger. Too rough, too desperate. This one was their first kiss that was soft, without urgency.
Gwen squealed as her lover lifted her onto the bed. Nikki smiled back, going on top of her. “I thought about you these past few nights.” She helped Gwen out of her Riot Grrl shirt in between kisses. “Yeah?” Gwen smiled. Nikki nodded, “I couldn’t get you outta my head.” She missed Gwen so much and needed her back. Nikki kissed Gwen again, unhooking her bra and throwing it aside.
Gwen arched her back, slowly shutting her eyes. She was so confused. They’d never been close. At least in this way, aside from that week. But Nikki’s kisses, her touches. They just felt so good. She missed Nikki’s kisses. They were like a drug, intoxicating her to the point where it was hard to stay away.
Nikki pulled down her panties, settling between Gwen’s legs. She missed this. Missed her. "You're so fucking wet for me." Nikki purred, going back in between her lover's legs. She stopped all of a sudden, making Gwen sit up in confusion.
Nikki licked her lips, "Do you have a strap on?" She asked. Gwen nodded, eyes full of lust. “Top drawer.” She moaned. Nikki nodded, opening the top drawer and grabbing the blue strap on. Gwen bit her lip, watching her lover putting it on. Nikki hopped back onto Gwen, grinning mischievously. She slid in, starting out slow. Nikki buried her face in Gwen’s neck, leaving kisses. Gwen moaned, sighing in contentment.
She whimpered as Nikki sped up her thrusts. “Faster. Harder. Please.” Gwen cried out. She was trying to be cautious, not wanting anyone in the house to hear them. She gripped onto the sheets, knuckles whitening. Nikki’s kisses moved to Gwen’s cheeks and stopped at her lips. Gwen wrapped her arms around her lover’s neck. They smiled, nuzzling each other’s noses before collapsing next to one another.
”I’m sorry.” Gwen whispered, making Nikki turn to her. Nikki stroked her face, moving a tiny strand of hair. She pulled the brunette into her arms, gently stroking her hip.
”It’s okay.” Nikki left a kiss on her head

This is from the next upcoming chapter-
"Do you love my brother, Carlos?"
Sophie asked this question in the same casual tone as when she had offered Carlos water a minute before.  Water which he was glad he wasn’t taking a drink of when she asked that, or he might have sprayed it all over the kitchen counter.
“Do I… what?” Carlos said. It was all he could manage to get out.
“Do you love my brother”. Sophie repeated slowly. “Do you love TK? Or do you want to sing Fiddler on the Roof? Either one”. Carloss’ brow crinkled in confusion. Now he was even more confused.
“There’s a song in Fiddler on the Roof called, Do You Love Me?” Sophie informed him. “Tevye asks his wife, do you love me? She answers, do I what? They sing a song… it’s not important”. Carlos just nodded; this was only the second time he had ever talked with Sophie, but he had plenty of conversations with TK that went like this, where he would veer off into referencing a movie or show that Carlos had heard of, but hadn’t seen.
And it wasn’t like Carlos didn’t think they were going to have… some form of this conversation. He just thought it wouldn’t be less than two minutes after he got in the house.
He was also acutely aware of how horrifyingly awkward he was being. More than a minute had passed since either of them had said anything, and he knew it was his turn to say something. Sophie was eyeing him with keen interest, and even Buttercup, Captain Strand’s dog, was watching him intently, waiting for him to answer.
“I’m… sorry”. Carlos said finally. Technically speaking, he was addressing the Brita water filter on the counter. He felt like he was twelve years old and attending Confession at church, where you weren’t supposed to look at the person you were confessing to.
“I love your brother very much”. Carlos admitted quietly. “More than I’ve ever loved anyone like this. In this way. Certainly more than I ever expected, to have someone like this in my life. I…” he paused. He didn’t have anything against Sophie, but he really didn’t want to start crying in front of her.
“It’s okay, Carlos,” Sophie said, reaching over and squeezing his hand. “I promise I wasn’t trying to freak you out”. Carlos just nodded and hummed a little and pinched the bridge of his nose a little too tightly.  He didn’t trust any more words to come out of his mouth without tears.
“And it doesn’t a change a thing,” Sophie said in a singsong  tone. “But even so… it’s nice to know”. Carlos looked at her for the first time in several minutes, confusion having taken up residence on his face.
“That’s from Fiddler on the Roof?” Carlos asked.
“That’s right”. Sophie told him with a smile.

Hell to Pay: Chapter Fifteen

A/N: warning for smut and past mentions of abuse
Lev only stirred because Nik’s weight vanished. By the time he was awake enough to look up, blinking lazily against the morning sun, Nik was already pulling on a pair of pants. The fact that Nik even had a pair of pants in here, since this was Lev’s bedroom, was mildly impressive. Lev didn’t remember wearing clothes before they fell into bed the night before, tangled around each other and heedless of anything else.
“Where are you going?” Lev finally managed, yawning into the pillow as he arched his back, stretching his arms in front of him and wiggling in an attempt to wake up more.
“Amara needs me, but I mean, I can be.... persuaded to not go” Nik said, clearly eyeing Lev’s ass. “Because that is an invitation and I’m trying to leave, what the fuck.”
Lev snorted, flopping onto his side. “If Amara needs you, you should go. And that wasn’t supposed to be an invitation, but... consider it an open one for when you get back?” He blinked innocently, hiding a smile. “Just don’t be gone too long? I’ll miss you.”
Nik jabbed a finger in Lev’s direction. “This is dirty. You’re playing dirty.” That didn’t stop him from leaning over and kissing Lev quickly.
Before Nik was even fully out of the room, Lev was stifling his giggles with the pillow. He could hear Nik groan as he stormed away, his muttered Spanish floating back to Lev. That only served to make Lev laugh more, but eventually he calmed down. The bed felt empty without Nik there, and the room too large, and a creeping darkness to Lev’s thoughts he didn’t want to deal with, and there was only so much silence Lev could take before he slid out of bed. After some searching, he found one of Nik’s shirts. He tugged it on, pleased to be wearing Nik’s scent since Nik couldn’t actually be here, and then trotted off to find Cameron.
It’d been a couple of days since Cameron’s rut ended, and things were back to normal. Whatever that was. The sentries were back, Cameron was... Cameron. Mostly. Lev wasn’t completely convinced, but he wasn’t stupid enough to ask about it.
His first guess was right: he found Cameron in the kitchen. Lunch, Lev assumed, judging by the time. He pattered over to one of the empty counters, close enough he could talk to Cameron without getting in the way, and hoisted himself up. Cameron flicked him a look, but didn’t say a word, so Lev braced his hands on the counter. The only reaction Lev got from Cameron this time was some hand sanitizer thrown his way. Lev wasn’t even sure where it came from, but he got the message, loud and clear.
“Nik left,” he said, as soon as it occurred to him to do so. “He said Amara needed him?”
All he really got in response was a curt nod and a brief, “Okay.” Which- Lev didn’t really know how to continue the non-existent conversation for that, so he swung his feet back and forth quietly while he waited for Cameron to finish cooking.
Eventually Cameron told him to get ready to eat. Assuming that was a request to get off the counter, Lev slid down, and settled at the table in time for Cameron to put a bowl of some sort of stew in front of him.
“Thank you,” Lev said as he closed his eyes and took a big sniff. “It smells delicious.”
Cameron, who had settled across from him, just said, “I know. I cooked it.”
Lev blinked at Cameron. It took a couple of seconds to recognize the satisfaction in Cameron’s expression, but when Lev did, he smiled a bit. After a few bites, he tapped his spoon lightly against his bowl. “Did you have any plans today? Especially now that Nik has abandoned us for Mar?”
Cameron shrugged. “Paperwork from the club. Unless you needed to do something.”
“I forgot you owned the club,” Lev said, more to himself than Cameron. He shook his head. “No. Now that I- I dunno. Since I’m not living with the angels, I really don’t have anything to do. I was still training.” Even if he was far too old to be. At least on the level that he was.
The sweeping look Cameron gave him was both unimpressed and unsurprised. If Lev didn’t know any better, he’d say Cameron was awkward, just a little, as he said, “Do you want to come with me to the club?”
Startled, Lev just stared. He swallowed his usual replies, and just simply said, “Yes, please.” He paused, and then couldn’t help adding, “I need to get dressed though.”
Cameron nodded. “Finish eating first.”
“I planned on it,” Lev promised earnestly. To prove as much, he took another bite, swinging his feet back and forth absently. It really was good, but he didn’t want to seem insincere by repeating as such over and over again. After all, Cameron already knew he was a good cook.
---
Nik swung off his bike the moment it was in park and made his way through the apartment building to the second floor and went to knock impatiently on Amara’s door but the door swung open before he even got to the second knock. Amara dragged him inside before he could even protest.
Nik swatted her away. “Okay, Okay, I’m here. What did you want?”
“I’m hungry and out of cereal,” she said. “Make me something.”
Nik glowered at her. “I could be fucking your cousin right now,” he accused. “Are you incapable of making meals? Don’t answer that,” Nik said, pushing his way into the kitchen. He opened the cupboards and then went to the fridge when he didn’t find anything. There was spoiled milk and mayo in the fridge. His blood ran hot. “What is this?” he said, offended. “How are you still alive? I cannot believe we are friends. How dare you.”
“Well, I had cereal. And you can’t burn sandwiches. Usually. Sometimes,” Amara said. “Renee’s been cooking. But she’s spending the week with a friend.”
Nik made a pained sound. “You are so lucky I am not Nate.” Nik pulled out his leather wallet and went through it before shoving it into his back pocket. “We’re going grocery shopping. Where’s Cináed?”
Amara shrugged. “Couch. Napping. He’s been useless for the past three days, unless he’s helping me demolish what food I had.”
Nik shouldered his way over to the couch and grabbed Cin’s feet and pulled them off the cushion. “Get up, we’re going grocery shopping.” Cin grumbled, fangs flashing. Nik was unimpressed by the empty posturing. “Come on. Get your ass up before I kick it.”
Amara threw Cin’s shoes at him. “Put on a damn shirt.”
Cin flashed his fangs at her too, but pattered off to find a shirt. Nik arched a brow and plopped down on the couch, crossing his ankles. He dragged his eyes over her before looking at where Cin had gone. “So. How long have you been preheat?”
“Shut the fuck up, I’m not.”
Nik snorted. “Mar, I’d think you were above denial.”
“And that is why we don’t let you think. Maybe if I ignore it it'll go away." She paused. "At least Cin and I have synced up. Its a pain in the ass to go through it two weeks in a row because one of us triggered the other."
Nik snorted. “Sounds like a you problem. Two weeks of a heat sounds like a good time to me. I guess you just don’t have my stamina,” he lied.
"You don't have a kid to take care of, Nikky."
Nik looked pointedly towards her kitchen. “Seems like the kid takes care of you, Amara.”
"Fuck you, low blow,” Amara said, glaring at him. “I take care of her. Food's only part of the equation."
A cheeky smile graced his face. “Didn’t mean to offend your delicate feelings on the subject. Get ready.”
“You’re a dirty, rotten liar.”
Nik winked at her. “It’s what you love about me. You’re just as awful as I am.”
"Whatever helps you sleep at night." Amara reached for her jacket before yelling to Cin, “C’mon Cin, let’s go!” Only then did Cin appear, dressed and rubbing his eyes, clearly still half asleep.
Nik held out his hand when he got to his feet. “Give me your car keys.”
“I don’t have a car, Nikolas. Just the bike.”
Nik sighed, bitterly. “And what about Cin?”
Cin dug into his jeans and tossed him a set of car keys. Amara frowned. “Wait. Is that how we get groceries? I thought you got rid of that.”
Cin blinked at her. “I still have my car, Marmar.”
Amara’s mouth opened and closed. Nik laughed at them both. “Stars, you’re both disasters. Come on. I want to get this over with. I’ll feed you but then I’m going home. I have prior engagements that I dropped because I am a nice person.”
Amara pouted at him. “You can fuck Lev whenever you want, Nikky. You spend more time with him than me now.”
“Awe, I didn’t realize you were clingy. Just come over to the house. Cameron isn't going to just kill you.”
“Won’t he though? Besides, I can’t come over until I remember to get Lev’s shit or he’ll look at me real sad and I hate that shit, man.”
Nik rubbed his thumb and forefinger together. “Can you hear that whine? It’s not my fault you’re afraid of Cameron and that you’re too lazy to bring Lev his shit.”
“I am not afraid of Cameron, Nikolas,” Amara said. “Just haven’t been in the mood to fuck with him lately. Just distracted. And I don’t really want to step foot in that house. I’m pissed enough and I’m annoyed with Nate, too- not letting me know when he handed that pile of shit over. I wanted a piece of him too, you know.”
Nik frowned. “Blame me if you want. Nate’s not at fault for anything.” He looked towards the open door. Cin was probably wearing a hole into the concrete by the car by now. “He has a lot going on.” He flicked her a look. “You’d think you would know that since you’re raising a kid.” Nik started for the car, knowing that Amara would be following him. He found Cin leaning against the back of the car, waiting for him. Unlocking the car, Nik said, “Get in, loser, we’re going shopping. And I’m driving.” Enough hurt flashed across Cin’s face, Nik knew he didn’t get the reference. He sighed. “I really need to get you both to sit down and watch movies.”
Amara climbed into the passenger seat next to him. “Good luck.”
Nik electively ignored her and started up the car while Cin snuggled into the back seat. “We’ll get some easy shit that not even you can get wrong, and then I’ll get some things that Renee can cook for you because I know for a fact that you will burn down your apartment.”
Cin was sound asleep by the time they got to the store. Nik put the car in park and leaned over the seat to flick Cin’s nose. “Hey handsome, we’re here.” Cin grumbled at Nik. “Come onnnn. If I have to, so do you.”
Nik got out of the car and into the frigid cold air, shoving his hands in his pockets, waiting for both Amara and Cin to get out. The cold air seeped into his holey jeans and did nothing for Nik’s sour mood. “You ready yet?”
Amara was already dragging Cin towards the store when she said, “I was born ready, grumpy pants.”
“Hmph.” Nik followed after them. “If that was the case, you would have bought more food before you ran out. But sure.”
“I’m broke,” she replied. “Didn’t have any money for groceries.”
Nik side eyed her. “Uh huh.”
“What?” she said. “Don’t believe me? I didn’t have a single bottle of alcohol in the apartment either.”
Nik snorted when he grabbed the cart. “Probably because you drank it all.”
“Wow rude.”
Nik shrugged while starting for the grocery section. He started putting things in the basket that even Amara would be able to use, and if she couldn’t, he was sure Cin would. Hopefully. Stars, they’re both useless. At least when Nik was dating her he could make sure she didn’t die from food poisoning.
Amara wandered off while Cin moved between sticking close to Nik and following after Amara like a lost puppy. When he was close enough, Nik had him get the items he was too lazy to get himself. When Nik was satisfied there was enough food in the cart to feed them all for at least two weeks, Nik started for the register. He gnawed at his thumb nail until he could put the groceries on the thing. When Amara didn’t come back, Nik told the clerk to call her. The kid gave him a considering look, judging his age before, “Amara? Your father is waiting for you at register nine.”
Nik choked. “Oh gross. Do I look like someone’s father? Daddy, maybe. But not a father.”
The clerk pressed her lips together to stop herself from laughing. She gave him the cost and he dug a few hundreds Cam had given him out of his wallet and paid for the food. Beside him, Cin said, “I can pay you back?”
Nik waved him off. “It’s not like it’s my money. It’s all Cam.” Cin seemed displeased as he made a disgruntled sound. He just shrugged. “I mean, you could make it up to him. Though, it wouldn’t probably pan out well. Not sure how Lev would react.”
Cin’s only answer was rolling his eyes. When Nik opened his mouth, Amara rounded the corner, eyes puffy enough Nik arched a brow. “Do you feel better, honey?” Nik asked in an overly sympathetic voice.
“No, fuck you,” Amara snapped. She shoved a stuffed koala at him. “Buy this too.”
Nik looked down at the stuffed animal in distaste. “Get enough snot on that?” The store clerk closed her eyes in defeat, clearly wishing to be put out of her misery. Nik grunted when Amara kicked him in the shin. “You don’t have to kick me because I’m right, you know. I just bought you three hundred dollars worth of groceries.” Nik leaned over and snagged the tag off the koala and tossed it to the clerk. “The least you could do is be nice to me.”
“The least you could do was not make fun of me during my emotional breakdown,” Amara said, sharply. She paused before kicking him again. “Talk shit, get hit, motherfucker.”
Nik pointed at her. “That’s rude, it’s not like I can just find some random hot mom, Amara. My mommy issues aren’t that bad.”
The store clerk choked. “Sir… the line?”
Nik looked around Amara to see the decent line of humans. “Ugh.” He rolled his head towards the clerk. “Keep the change.” He started grabbing the groceries and shoving them in cart alongside Cin. “Come along, children.”
Nik got them out to the car, the groceries in the truck and the snot-covered koala back in Amara’s arms. It didn’t take long for Cin to fall back asleep in the back, curled against the seat. Nik got them back to the apartment relatively quickly before poking Cin in the face again. “Hey, make yourself useful and carry these up.”
Cin didn’t bother reacting and just got out of the car and carried up the groceries. Nik waited at the counter in the kitchen while Cin finished. He spent three hundred dollars on them, he wasn’t doing the leg work. As soon as all the groceries were inside on the floor, Cin just disappeared back to the couch to sleep.
If Nik hadn’t just spent the last week in bed with Cameron, he might have joined him on the couch, but he wanted to get home soon. But first, he needed to feed them. Amara was still at the counter, clutching the koala to her chest when Nik said, “Put everything away except for what I’m cooking.” He rattled off the ingredients while he dished out the pans and utensils he needed to make empanadas.
Unsurpisingly, Amara just walked off, probably to go clean off the stupid koala. He had the ground beef dethawing and a few of the veggies cleaned and cut up when he opened a bottle of tequila he had found hidden behind the pans. When Amara came back, she frowned at the bottle. “What the fuck? I thought I was out.”
Nik snorted, taking a drink from the bottle before moving on to start with the dough. “This is why we don’t let you think, Mar.”
She just flipped him off before starting to put things away. When Nik was done with the dough, he started on the egg mixture he mixed with the dough. He looked her over after putting it in the fridge for thirty minutes, messing with the timer on his phone. “So, clearly you’re feeling the preheat. Do you think you can help me- wait, no, never mind. You’re not touching my food.”
Nik started back up with food prep when she wandered over and looped her arms around his waist, pressing her forehead against his back. He fell into a rhythm, singing under his breath while he filled the dough with the meat he cooked, Amara moving with him in sync. He was making a mess of her kitchen, which he usually did whenever he cooked, but she didn’t seem to notice. It was one of the reasons why Cam didn’t let him cook.
When the empanadas were frying, Nik took that as an opportunity to make the aioli dip. Nik was half sure that Amara was asleep on his back, but he just smiled a bit and mixed together the mayo, adobo sauce and lime juice before shoving it in the fridge to boost flavor while the empanadas finished.
When they were finished, Nik turned his head to the side. “Mar, they’re done,” he murmured. “You need to let go so you can eat. Even if it is hard.” Amara bit into Nik’s shoulder before letting him go. Nik grinned at her. “Was hard, wasn’t it?”
“Next time I’ll go for the jugular.”
NIk arched a brow. “I’m spoken for. But I’m sure you can work it out with Cam.”
Amara ignored him and went to go wake up Cin. Nik used that time to get the empanadas out on plates after taking another swig from the tequila bottle. When they came back, Nik shoved their plates to them. “Go nuts. I accept payment in forms of blowjobs or alcohol.”
Amara just rolled her eyes. “I’m not blowing you when you’re dating my cousin. You can keep the tequila.”
“And you say I’m the grumpy one,” Nik retorted, taking a bite from his own plate. “But fine. I will, and unlike you, I will not lose it in my stash of pots and pans.”
“Renee probably hid it from me,” she said, making a face. Amara took a bite from her food, before frowning. “Fuck you, this is so good.”
Nik grinned. “I know, I made it.”
------
Lev was pretty sure his back would never forgive him for how he’d squeezed himself awkwardly into this chair. There were plenty of reasonable ways to sit, but this felt more comfortable, and he could brace his sketchbook on his knees as he doodled. That's all it really was, honestly. Doodling. He did not consider himself an artist, but a little practice never hurt, and he was bored, in all honesty. It was better than being alone, but he was still bored.
He’d filled a couple pages with sketches of, well... Cameron. Not really him. Sort of. His hands. His mouth and jawline. His eyes. What else was Lev supposed to draw, though? All he really had to look at was Cameron, who for the most part was engrossed with his paperwork, though it didn’t escape Lev’s notice any time Cameron glanced over at what Lev was trying to draw.
Could he tell? Lev wasn’t sure. If he could, he hadn’t told Lev to stop, so there wasn’t anything wrong with it. Probably. Maybe?
Lev realized he was staring at Cameron as he pondered, and slowly flushed. He couldn't remember what he’d been trying to draw. He’d definitely been staring blankly at Cameron for a good amount of time, and now he didn’t know how to stop. Stopping was a good idea. And yet he kept staring.
“If you're bored I can give you something to do.”
That was such a Cameron thing to say. Lev pressed his lips together, wishing he could force himself to stop blushing. “I’m fine,” he said automatically, rubbing his face and narrowly avoiding poking himself in the eye with his pencil at the same time. “I’m just- dunno, lost my- my groove? I was distracted.” He sat up, tucking his feet underneath him as he leaned closer, trying to deflect. “What are you doing?”
Cameron looked back down at his papers, rifling through them. “Club ratios. Alcohol and admissions.”
Lev scrunched up his nose. “Okay,” he said, unsure of what else to say. He blinked at the papers, trying to make heads or tails of it all.
“Do you want to suck my cock?” Cameron asked bluntly.
Lev was mortified how quickly he perked up, eyes dropping to Cameron’s lap briefly, before flicking back up to Cameron’s face. “I-” there was no point in lying. Yes, he was interested. “Yes. Please. If that’s- here?” Lev could have groaned at how awkward he was being. How much he wanted it.
“Do you see me moving?”
Lev shook his head. He unfolded from the chair, almost tripping over his converse in his haste as he stood. He sidestepped them this time and dropped his sketchbook on the chair he’d abandoned as he rounded the desk.
Cameron pushed back from the desk, just enough. “Crawl.”
Without a second thought Lev was on his knees. If Cameron wanted him to crawl, he’d crawl. Cameron hadn’t turned towards him, leaving Lev a little confused. He sat back on his haunches when he reached Cameron’s side, but Cameron just nodded towards the desk.
“Under,” was all he said.
Even Lev couldn't misunderstand that. He slithered underneath the desk, twisting until he was peering up at Cameron again. Cameron didn’t miss a beat and moved right back to how he had been, and judging by the rustling of papers, he was right back to working. This time Lev didn’t hesitate. Fumbling with Cameron’s belt, Lev managed to pull Cameron’s dick out.
It was tempting to go right for it, but Lev took his time, wanting to make it last. He kissed and licked his way up the shaft before sucking on the tip, sliding all the way down once before going back to his curious teasings. There was- there was something to the idea of seeing if he could get a reaction from Cameron. Something tempting. It rankled, just a little bit, in a way Lev couldn’t quite put into words, that Cameron could just go back to his paperwork like Lev wasn’t under his desk with his mouth on Cameron’s cock.
Not once after that first time did Lev even try to go all the way down again. He explored at his own pace, thoroughly enjoying himself. Already he’d forgotten why he’d decided to be a little bit of a tease. He just liked doing whatever came to mind, and trying to figure out what Cameron liked as he went.
After a few minutes Lev discovered Cameron definitely liked it when Lev dragged the tip of his tongue along the underside of Cameron’s dick. Lev got caught up in trying it over and over again, pausing only to occasionally lap at the head of Cameron’s cock to catch the precome leaking from it.
For the most part he kept his hand either on Cameron’s thigh or wrapped around the base of Cameron’s cock to keep it steady. The space beneath Cameron’s desk was cramped, even with the ridiculous size of the desk, and it was just easier to hold onto Cameron, absently stroking the inside of his thigh with his thumb as he licked and teased his way up and down Cameron’s length repeatedly.
Lev wasn’t actually sure how long he’d been lost in what he was doing when Cameron’s fingers found Lev’s hair and yanked firmly. A high pitched moan came from Lev in response, and he almost pulled away. He would have, if Cameron hadn't tightened his grip on Lev’s hair. Right. Message received. Lev slid down Cameron’s length, working his way down to the base determinedly. He kept a careful rhythm, bobbing his head as best he could without smacking his head on the desk above him.
It took several minutes before Lev managed to make Cameron come. The only signs he’d been getting anywhere were the way Cameron’s breaths had sped up, and how his fingers were all but fisted in Lev’s hair. Occasionally, Lev had been rewarded with the rustling of Cameron’s papers going silent, but other than that it was radio silence, at least until Lev heard Cameron give a low sound. That, and the way Cameron’s hand clenched reflexively in Lev’s hair, was all the warning Lev got before Cameron came.
Lev sucked him through it, fighting the instinct to hum smugly when he pulled off. He wiped his mouth off with the back of his hand, before wiggling closer. Only after tucking Cameron’s dick away again did he settle, folding his arms on Cameron’s lap and resting his chin on them as he listened to Cameron’s breathing slowing. The weight of Cameron’s hand in his hair was soothing, and Lev was more than tempted to see if he could possibly fall asleep like this without sliding down to the ground. Instead he gave a contented sigh, hesitantly pressing his face against Cameron’s stomach before he looked up.
“Cameron?”
“Hmm?” Cameron barely glanced down before continuing what he was doing.
Lev debated how to word what he wanted to say for a solid minute before he finally said, “I really was curious about what you were doing.” He furrowed his brows thoughtfully. “I just- could you explain it again? I want to understand.”
“Do you?”
Lev grimaced. “I’m not a liar. I wouldn’t say it just to- I want to know. I don’t like not understanding things.”
Cameron looked irritated this time. “I wasn’t calling you a liar.”
The comforting weight of his hand was gone, and Lev wasn’t sure where he’d gone wrong. Panic fluttered like a bird behind his ribs, and he had to stop himself from retreating underneath the desk. There was no reason to get that worked up, and he knew it.
“I was asking you for a yes or a no,” Cameron said.
Lev blinked. “Oh.” He swallowed, and then nodded. “Yes. I want to learn. I don’t- I don’t like feeling stupid, and when I don’t get things I feel really dumb.” He settled against Cameron’s stomach again. “I just want to understand.”
Cameron watched him for a heartbeat, but he did start to explain, and that was all Lev wanted, really, so Lev was content to tilt his head up and listen intently.
---
Nik was about ready to pull his jacket to leave when Amara demanded, “And where the fuck do you think you’re going?”
Nik looked over his shoulder, stopping before he could get his second arm in. “Well I was going to go get fucked, if you must know, since I am done feeding you.”
Amara whined. “Noooo. I want to snuggle. I missed youuu.” She wrapped her fingers around his wrist and pushed his jacket off his shoulders. “I never get to see you, I deserve this. And even if I don’t, I’m a selfish bitch.”
Nik frowned. “Snuggle with Cin. That’s what he’s here for.”
“He’s not you though, and he’s boring when he’s comatose.” Nik was this close to whining too. He could feel his body protest, but he ended up letting her drag him over to the threadbare couch to be smooshed between her and Cin. Cin didn’t seem bothered to have two bodies on top of him; he really was sleepy.
“You know you missed me,” she crooned, putting her face in his neck.
“Not right now I don’t,” he grumbled, wrapping his arm around her waist. “What am I getting out of this forced cuddling? Besides your radiant company?”
She playfully nipped at him. “You can keep the tequila.”
Nik pinched her ass. “I was already planning on keeping the tequila as payment for cooking you food, Mar. But whatever. Since I am a good and kind soul, I will keep you company free of charge because it’s the right thing to do in your hour of need.” He put his boots up on the arm of the couch. “Lucky you.”
She snuggled deeper into him, arms wrapping around his waist. “Lucky me indeed,” she mumbled into his chest. “You’re mine for the foreseeable future.” Nik’s body was rebelling against him. He could feel himself half hard against Amara’s stomach. She seemed unbothered and perfectly aware. “Not my problem.”
Nik groaned, wiggling helplessly under her. “Why are you doing this to meeeee.”
"I didn't ask for you to show up horny and bitter. I just needed a friend in this trying time."
“Honestly, Amara, for someone supposedly so intuituve, you sure do know shit about how I am horny all the fucking time. And when you wake me up,” he groused. “But sure, you’re the one in need.”
Amara said, “"Would you rather me have starved?"
“Do not ask questions you do not want the answers to,” Nik warned.
“Wow Nikolas, I thought we were friends.”
Nik yanked on her hair. “If we weren’t, I’d have let you rot. But here I am, hard and under a woman I can’t fuck. So. I am a saint.”
She choked on a laugh. “Saint Nikolas.”
“Okay you know what-”
Nik rolled over and let her fall on the floor. She stared up at him, half shocked and half amused. “Bullying people is my thing, Nikolas.”
“Talk shit, get thrown on the floor,” Nik shot back.
She sat up on her elbows. “You left yourself wide open for that, Saint Nikolas.”
Nik pointed down at her. “Keep calling me that and I will walk out that door right now. Then we’ll see how hilarious you are when you keep whining about what a bad friend I am.” Cin grumbled from under him, pulling his pillow over his head, muttering about them talking too much.
Both he and Amara ignored Cin’s whining. “Okay, okay. Someone’s touchy today.” Before Nik could even call her a hypocrite she was up on her feet and flopped on him. “Don’t leaveeee.”
“Well, I can’t very well do that with your big head on my chest, now can I?”
"First of all, that was the idea, and second, who are you calling a big head, big head?"
“At least my big head is full of things,” Nik said, poking her in the forehead.
"Yeah, weed and booze, maybe."
I mean, yes, Nik thought. “At least it has something in it other than air.”
“Fuck you,” she said, cheerfully, snuggling deep into him.
“You can’t,” Nik whined. “I’m dating your cousin, remember?”
“Not my fault,” she mumbled. “You were just supposed to fuck him, not get attached.”
“Ugh.”
“Now I have to break in a new fuckbuddy.”
Nik slipped a hand in her back pocket, unable to stop himself from grinning. “Sorry you had to downgrade. Can’t relate.” He oofed when she jabbed him in the side. “That’s so mean, stars, Amara. I thought we were friendsss.”
Amara had opened her mouth to counter when Nik found himself on the ground, landing on top of Amara, her own head smacking against the threadbare carpet. The next thing Nik registered was Cin on his feet and stalking back to the bedroom, grumbling about not being able to sleep. Nik looked down at Amara, feeling laughter bubble in his throat. “Well, that was nice. I went out of my way, making him a home cooked meal and he nearly gives me a concussion.”
He had rolled over onto his back, with Amara’s face pressed into his chest, laughing, when he wheezed, “The audacity.”
Amara just snorted. “You ruined his nap.”
“Me?”
“Yes you.”
“Wow,” Nik said, pushing her onto her back. “The blatant disrespect. I cannot believe this.” He sat on her and looked down while brushing his blue and black hair out of his eyes. “Lying straight to my face. Hmph.”
Amara smacked his chest. “Get oooooooff.”
“Or else what?” Nik asked, roguishly.
“I’ll whine.”
“You mean you haven’t been whining this entire time?”
She threw her arm over her eyes. “Why are you bullying meeee.”
“Because I’m horny and I am mean when I am horny. It’s your own fault.” Nik got to his feet and held out a hand. “Take it or I’m taking this opportunity to escape.”
"I can't help that I’m so sexy," she said, taking his hand. She straightened her shirt, before: "If you need to jerk off the bathrooms down the hall."
Nik frowned. “Damn right you are, and I’m annoyed.” Nik considered her offer, though. Stars knew how long she was going to hold him captive, and he was only going to get more irritable the longer he wasn’t able to get off. “I am not getting blue balls for you.” He turned on his heel and went to the bathroom.
--------
Cameron was finishing locking up the office, half ignoring Lev hopping around the hallway trying to tie his shoes. He slid the key in his pocket and watched Lev for a few seconds, before flatly saying, “Are you done?”
Lev smacked his shoulder into the wall and crumbled to the ground. “Yeah. Just. Give me a second. It’s easier from down here.”
Cameron looked down at him, unimpressed. “Nice coordination, Levant.”
Lev just stood up. “Never once implied I was coordinated. Or graceful.” He gave Cameron a pained smile. “I really am a terrible angel,” he said, mechanically enough it was obvious he was just echoing someone else.
Cameron shrugged slightly. “You make it sound like a bad thing. Come along.” He didn’t give Lev a look, seeing if he was following him as he started for the main floor of the club. The only noise was the bartender quietly working, getting ready for that night.
He went straight for the grand piano in the middle of the room, on the raised dias. He ran his fingers across the glossy black of the keyboard cover as he sat. Lev shifted. “May I sit next to you..?”
Cameron debated for a heartbeat, not wanting to break his routine, but eventually moved over just enough for Lev to sit. Wordlessly, he opened the keyboard cover while Lev sat next to him, curiously listening to Cameron start his warm ups. His fingers glided over the keys while muscle memory took over; he didn’t even have to think about what notes to play before he played them. He had music drilled into his head since he could barely walk. It was expected of him from a young age- it was another appealing thing that attracted people to him. Cameron just hadn’t outgrown the habit, and despite being forced to learn, he did find some kind of solace playing the piano.
He could feel Lev staring at him with big golden eyes. Cameron almost told him to stop, but just kept focused on the piano, his own eyes closed. It was easier playing than it was dealing, and this was something he was good at. Though, Cameron thought, he was good at many things. He didn’t have the luxury of failing.
After a while, Lev asked, “Do you play every day?”
Cameron kept playing, going back and forth, deciding if he wanted to answer or not. He finally said, “Yes. Two and a half hours every day after paperwork.”
“That’s a long time,” Lev murmured to himself.
Cameron’s lips twitched. “Not really,” he said, after a bit. “Fucked Nik for longer.”
He almost didn’t hear Lev mutter under his breath, “Nik’s so damn lucky.”
Cameron snorted, and tilted his head, listening to the music. “All you have to do is tell me.”
Cameron rarely, if ever told Nik no, and when he did, Nik just went elsewhere. If it was what Lev wanted, Cameron would feel compelled to give it to him, just as he was compelled to give it to Nik. All he had to do was say the word. It was what he was trained to do. “That’s easier said than…. Oh.” Cameron could almost see Lev make a face.
“If you’re going to speak, stop mumbling,” Cameron said, half annoyed. “I can barely hear you over the music.”
He could feel the bartender silently watching them. Zareth knew better than to speak while Cameron was playing and he was not going to be that stupid now; not unless he wanted his tongue ripped out.
Lev fell silent for a while before asking, “Can you teach me to play? Not today, but… one day?”
Cameron inclined his head, enjoying the smooth keys at his fingertips. “I can teach you now, if you want.”
“I don’t want to interrupt your playing anymore than I already have,” Lev said, “But… I do want.”
Cameron finished his song before, “What do you know about music? Can you read it, write it? What all have the angels taught you besides not actually being able to teach you how to fight.”
Lev shook his head. “I can sing along with the radio. Gramma says I’ve got a good ear, but no one ever taught me anything.”
“Hmm.” Cameron went over the major keys, the minor keys; explaining the difference between white and black before saying, “I’ll get you a keyboard. No one touches the piano but me. And I’m sure there are song books you can look at to learn music notes. I’ll look into it.”
“Okay,” Lev said. Then he added, “Thank you.”
Cameron went back to playing, letting himself try to fall back into rhythm. He tried to not get aggitated at his routine being altered too much. It wasn’t Lev- it was literally anyone that stopped him from being able to work seamlessly.
After a while, Cameron barely registered Lev getting up and wandering over to the bar. He didn’t bother looking to see what Lev was doing, and kept playing.
----
Lev slid into a seat at the bar, tapping his fingers on the smooth wood silently. He twisted in his seat, peering at Cameron, but Cameron was still playing, hadn’t even looked up. Good. that meant he wasn't too bothered by Lev leaving. He felt a little bad he’d kept bugging Cameron, but he didn't really know how to be still and quiet for long, for all he was a quiet person.
After a few minutes, Lev hesitantly waved at the bartender. After a moment the bartender flicked him a look. Lev waved at him again, widening his eyes and what he hoped was a plea. The bartender kept cleaning the glass in his hands for longer than Lev thought was necessary before coming over. Once the bartender raised his eyebrows, Lev realized he hadn’t thought this far. He knew Cameron probably wanted quiet, even if Cameron had been remarkably patient with Lev’s talking.
“Can I get some water?” Lev whispered, as quiet as he could. “And a pen?” There were napkins nearby, and Lev’d forgotten his sketchbook in Cameron’s office. He wasn’t stupid enough to bug Cameron for that.
The bartender flicked Cameron a look over Lev’s shoulder, and then turned away. Lev thought for a moment he’d been ignored, but the bartender slid a glass towards him. Lev mouthed a “thank you,” before holding the glass in his hands. He sipped it occasionally, and blinked gratefully at the bartender when he got the pen he’d asked for.
Lev swiveled on the chair, and then started sketching Cameron. Or his piano, at least. Lev kept himself busy that way, wiggling to his heart's content. At least the stools didn't squeak. Lev couldn't imagine Cameron allowing his stools to squeak.
It was almost a surprise to hear the music stop. Lev wasn’t sure if it had been two and a half hours or not, but he was pleased to see Cameron settle beside him.
“My usual,” was all Cameron said.
The bartender hopped to, something Lev decided not to think about. Instead he kicked his feet back and forth lightly, and sipped his water. After a minute, he looked over at Cameron. “Is there anything else on the schedule?”
Lev almost missed the tiny smirk the bartender had when Cameron looked at Lev. “Do you want to be fucked?”
Lev blinked. “I-” He really should stop being surprised by Cameron offering. “Yes? Yes.”
Cameron set his glass down, and then leaned over, pressing kisses to Lev’s neck. Lev’s breath caught in his throat, and he tilted his head up to give Cameron more room. Oh. Cameon really meant right now. He hooked his fingers in Cameron’s sleeve. It wasn’t long before Cameron started unbuttoning Lev’s jeans, and that was enough Lev twitched his hips upwards, giving a soft moan. He hadn’t expected to be fucked today, but he was absolutely down for this.
Cameron was pulling at his jeans, so Lev lifted his hips again. Too far, it seemed, because he slid right off the stool. He flung his arms around Cameron’s neck, squeaking. Cameron’s arm was around his waist, keeping him from falling any lower. In the next moment, Lev found himself swung around, back against the bar, and Cameron pulling his pants and underwear down efficiently.
The next thing Lev knew, Cameron was on his knees and taking Lev’s half-hard cock in his mouth. Lev jerked forward with a gasp, one hand going to Cameron’s hair. Cameron’s hand found Lev’s hip, pinning him in place against the bar. More than anything Lev wanted to squirm, but Cameron was firm as he teased Lev to full hardness.
-----
Cameron only pulled back when he knew Lev was close to coming. He didn’t even want to think about whatever was on the floor as he got to his feet. Lev’s whine was suppressed when Cameron flipped him around, and bent him over the bar. But Lev wasn’t able to stop the second whine when his fingers traced down Lev’s spine before pressing inside. Two fingers in and Lev was already moaning.
Lev was leaning on his forearms, head bent over as a flush worked its way down his back. Cameron took his time stretching him out as he worked himself up to his own hardness. Cameron kept using just his fingers until Lev was whining enough he started wiggling. Cameron’s only warning to stop moving was his teeth in Lev’s shoulder.
“Cameron, please,” Lev was already pleading. “Please fuck me?”
“Hmm.” Cameron added another finger, finishing stretching him out, before pulling them out one by one. He stroked himself lazily, halfway ignoring Lev’s small whine; completely ignoring Zareth’s half hearted attempt to keep himself busy. Wasn’t the first time he fucked someone in front of the demon, likely wouldn't be the last.
Cameron pressed inside Lev, eliciting a moan from the angel. He took his time deciding what he was going to do before sliding his hand up to the back of Lev’s neck and bending him forward on his toes with his cheek pressed against the cool black bar.
Cameron wrapped his hand around the back of Lev’s neck, his other hand digging into Lev’s hip, pulling back as he fucked into him. Zareth had forgotten his duties and was watching them blatantly enough Cameron debated on giving him a look to get back to work, but ultimately decided to put his energy into what he was doing. Lev’s eyes lifted to the demon staring at them, but instead of protesting, his moans unsurprisingly only got louder, his fingers curling into fists.
He only twisted Lev’s arm behind his back when it went between his legs to the dripping cock. Cameron leaned over him, teeth pressing into Lev’s almost healed shoulder. “Don’t touch,” was all he said to the angel.
That got a loud enough whimper from Lev, Cameron felt his lips ghost into a curl. Lev’s legs were trembling when he said, “Please let me come? Please.”
The part of his brain that was hardwired to give what was wanted was tempted, but Cameron wrapped his hand around the base of Lev’s cock hard enough Lev gave him a choked moan. Cameron lightly pressed his teeth into Lev’s throat enough to just barely break the skin. “No. You come when I feel like it. Not the other way around.”
Lev’s only response was a whimper. Cameron kept fucking into him hard until he felt his knot catch at the rim. He pressed Lev harder against the bar when his release barreled out of him. Cameron barely suppressed his pants against Lev’s shoulder when he finally was able to pull out. Cameron cleaned himself off and was rebuckling his belt when Lev, clearly sounding desperate and fucked out, said, “Can I come? Please?”
Cameron considered it. “Did I say you could?”
Lev gave a broken whimper but didn’t argue. Cameron flicked a look over to Zareth who was already pulling the black box from under counter out and sliding it towards them. Cameron selected a black and silver plug and pressed it into Lev’s leaking ass. “Pull your pants up,” he said, pulling back from the angel and straightening his shirt. “Make sure to clean up the bar,” he added, to Zareth, slipping the plug's remote into his pocket.
Lev clumsily did as ordered, his face flushed a bright gold. Cameron only looked to his watch before starting for his office to gather his things. He heard Lev eventually catch up to him by the time Cameron was already unlocking his office to get the remaining paperwork and his phone. Lev slipped inside to get his sketchbook and had it pressed to his chest when he followed Cameron out to his car.
------
Lev squirmed again. He’d thought it was awkward enough walking with the plug. He’d been very aware of it’s presence then, and he was very aware of it now that he was sitting in the front seat of Cameron’s car. He couldn't find a good way to settle that didn’t have it pressing against him.
“Sit still.”
Lev stilled obediently, swallowing a whine. Home couldn’t come soon enough. If he was home he could at least stand up. Cameron didn’t expect him to keep it in forever, did he? Lev wiggled, and then froze again. He leaned against the door, giving another excited wiggle when the manor came into view.
“Do you think Nik is home yet?” Lev asked, switching his gaze to Cameron.
After a moment, Cameron said, “Maybe.”
Lev hummed softly, and then said, “I missed him. Is that stupid? It was just a day.”
Only after Cameron had parked the car did he finally say, “No, it isn’t.”
Lev was out of the car in a heartbeat, but he leaned against it to peer at Cameron across the roof. “I had fun today.”
Cameron flicked him a quick look. “Good.”
Lev watched him circle the car, and slunk after him. Stars, he was super aware of that blasted plug. Sure it was keeping Cameron’s come from getting everywhere, but at what cost? That didn’t mean Lev wasn’t going to wander after Cameron. He wasn’t sure what else to do. Besides, he liked being around Cameron. Even if he wasn’t much for conversation most of the time.
It shouldn’t have surprised Lev that Cameron headed for the kitchen. Lev followed after him, eyeing the counter. No, he wasn’t going to settle there today. He’d had enough sitting for now. He leaned his hip against it instead, watching Cameron move around.
“What are you making for dinner?” Lev asked, just to break the silence.
“Steak and potatoes.” Cameron nodded at the potatoes. “Cut up the potatoes?”
Lev wiggled happily, and sidled over to them to start. He paused only long enough to wash his hands when Cameron reminded him, and then kept himself busy. He was just about done when hands grabbed his hips, and a face pressed against his neck. Lev squeaked, but he recognized Nik’s scent a heartbeat later. After setting the knife down, Lev squirmed until he was facing Nik, sliding his arms around Nik’s neck.
Nik’s mouth was on his before Lev could say anything. Lev arched into the kiss, moaning softly. He pulled back just a little, blinking up at Nik. Before he could get a word out, Nik was kissing him again. Well. Lev couldn’t really argue with that. He kissed back enthusiastically, opening his mouth for Nik as he leaned close.
Without warning the plug in his ass started... vibrating. Lev jerked, pulling back. “What-” He flicked at glance at Cameron, eyes wide. Cameron hadn’t even looked up from the steaks he was cooking.
“You kept yourself occupied, Cam,” Nik said, drawing Lev’s attention again. Nik looked amused.
“Finish the potatoes, Levant,” was all Cameron said.
Lev blinked again, before pressing a chaste kiss to Nik’s lips. “Missed you today,” he promised, before wiggling around to finish up the potatoes.
Nik wrapped his arms around Lev’s waist and pressed a kiss to Lev’s neck, despite Lev’s squeak. “Clearly you kept busy in my absence.”
Lev shrugged. “I went to the club with Cameron. I had fun.” He wasn’t near as neat with his chopping as he had been before, but he couldn’t imagine how Cameron could expect perfection when the plug was still going and Nik was pressed up against him.
“I can smell that.”
Lev flushed, pausing. “That wasn’t- He showed me some of how his paperwork works. And he promised to teach me how to play the piano.” He set the knife down, and added to Cameron, “Potatoes are done.”
Cameron took the potatoes from him, putting them in the pan. Nik just said, “You and I clearly have different views of fun.”
Lev considered that. He turned around, sliding his arms around Nik’s neck. “I mean I liked the sex too, but I just also liked the other stuff. Maybe I have a broader idea of fun?” He pressed his nose to Nik’s to let Nik know he was teasing, even as he pressed his hips against Nik, absently seeking friction.
Nik’s hands settled on his hips, holding him still. “I resent the idea that you are more fun than I am. Take that back.”
Lev whined softly, squirming in Nik’s hold. “I didn’t say I was more fun, just that I have more ideas of what is fun.”
“Hmmm. Sounds the same to me, Levant.”
Lev shoved his face in Nik’s neck, whining, “Niiiiiiik.”
Nik bit Lev’s shoulder lightly. “Saying my name like that does not move me.”
That wasn’t fair. The feeling of Nik’s teeth in his shoulder went straight to Lev’s aching cock, and did nothing to help with the frustration of having the plug vibrating incessantly inside him. He whined in the back of his throat, saying, “Is me admitting it under duress really me admitting it, though?”
“Oh is this duress? I hadn't realized you were that delicate.”
“You call me delicate all the time, I’d think you knew this already.”
Nik’s response was to slide a hand between them, grinding the heel of his palm against Lev’s crotch. Lev gasped out a whimpered protest, squirming. The counter behind him kept him from going anywhere.
“Okay, okay, you're more fun, Nik, please."
Nik grinned. “Am I?”
“Yes,” Lev insisted, his flush creeping lower. “Nik.”
Cameron’s sharp, “Nikolas,” made Lev jump. He’d forgotten Cameron was still here. It made Nik step back, though. Lev wasn’t sure if he liked Nik not touching him at all, but it was a relief to get a brief respite. Other than that damned plug still going. Cameron was moving about, starting to set the table. He barely looked over as he said, “Go wash up.”
Lev eyed Nik suspiciously, waiting for more teasing, but Nik was heading for the bathroom. Lev slunk after him. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the teasing; normally he would have loved it, in an overwhelmed sort of way. But he would have felt very silly coming in his pants, and besides, dinner was almost ready and he didn’t want to annoy Cameron by delaying it just to change his pants.
After shuffling up behind Nik he pressed his nose to Nik’s shoulder, hoping Nik wasn’t annoyed. Judging by the wink, he wasn’t.
“Get washed up, Lev.”
By the time Lev was done, Nik was hovering in the doorway. Lev dried his hands quickly, and snuggled into Niks side as they headed back. Lev slowed a little bit when they got back to the kitchen, eyeing the table. He did not want to sit again, especially since Cameron still hadn’t turned off the plug.
Lev must have lingered too long, because to Lev’s surprise, the plug started vibrating harder. Or more. Or something. Lev snapped his gaze to Cameron, eyes widening.
“Sit down.”
Nik snorted as he sat down himself. Lev sank down in his chair, sitting gingerly. He poked at his plate, before starting in on his potatoes. He eventually glanced at Nik. “How’s Amara?”
“Depriving me of dick,” Nik said.
Lev blinked. He didn’t want to think about dick, not with how turned on he still was, and so he pressed, “I take it she’s okay? Is she bringing me my stuff?”
“Not any time soon, she isn’t. She’s in preheat.”
Lev stifled a groan, wiggling. “I don't know why she couldn’t-” He made a face. “Do you think one of you two could take me to get the stuff?”
“I’m sure if you ask nicely I might be so inclined,” Nik said.
Lev widened his eyes. “Could you? Please?”
Nik smiled at him a bit, letting Lev squirm until he finally said, “Yeah, sure.”
“Thank you,” Lev said, squirming again. “Tomorrow? Or is that too soon?”
Nik grinned. “I think I can manage to fit you into my schedule.”
Cameron spoke up. “Your schedule of fucking and sleeping and eating?” He arched a brow.
“In that exact order, yes.”
Lev snorted softly. He shifted his weight again, and began to cut up his steak. If nothing else, he was hungry. He’d been hungry at lunch, too. Maybe his body was finally catching on that someone was making sure he ate regularly. Didn’t quite distract him enough to keep him from wiggling in his seat. No matter what he did, he couldn’t quite settle in a way that let him ignore the plug.
Nik went on, adding, “I can fit him in between sleeping and eating, it should be fine.”
Cameron rolled his eyes at that. Which, fair enough. Nik was being ridiculous.
Lev ate a few more bites, wiggling a bit more before he said, “What did Mar-Mar need so desperately?”
“Apparently to not die of starvation.”
Lev opened and closed his mouth a few times, blinking at Nik before sighing. “I suppose that would be a very boring way for her to go,” he finally said.
Nik dropped his head in his arms. “If I wasn't such a good person I would have strangled her for the state of her kitchen. How dare she not have any food.”
Even Cameron looked disgusted. Lev just shrugged. “There’s a reason she always came to my house for dinner, not the other way around.” He squirmed a little, shaking his head. “That and only Reneé can cook in that household.”
Nik said, “I am offended,” right as Cameron said, “And yet she’s still alive.”
Lev wrinkled his nose. “Takeout is a thing,” he reminded them, standing.
“Disgusting,” was all Cameron had to say about that.
“Depends on the takeout,” Lev said. “I’ll be right back.”
As Lev was leaving, he heard Cameron mutter, “Considering the booze she drinks, I’d not hold my breath,” but he chose to ignore that.
Lev slipped into the bathroom and let out a small breath. Standing did make it a bit easier, that neverending buzzing that was the plug deep in him, but it didn’t do anything to ease the arousal constantly simmering under his skin. How long exactly did Cameron expect him to wear this?
He pressed his hand against his boner, but that just made it worse. Giving in, he fumbled with his pants, pushing his zipper down and out of the way so he could pull his cock out. Stroking it almost made things worse. He was so damn horny.
“And what do you think you’re doing?” Cameron’s voice startled Lev so bad he jumped. Cameron was leaning against the doorway, and something about his heavy stare made Lev flush.
“I was- jerking off?” Lev blinked, a realization building in his mind.
“Did I say you could come?” Cameron asked coolly.
“N-no?” Lev blinked again. “I thought that- oh. I- oh.”
To make matters worse, Nik appeared beside Cameron, looking amused. “What did you do?”
“I- I don’t-”
Nik’s grin grew. “Did you talk while he played the piano?”
“I- yes? I didn’t know-” Lev paused, frustrated.
Nik burst into laughter. “Oh you poor bastard.”
He glanced at Cameron, and then back to Nik, who was still laughing. “I’m starting to gather I wasn’t supposed to?”
Cameron’s brows rose fractionally.
“You could have just told me you didn’t want me to talk,” Lev tried.
“Do you not know how manners work?” Cameron asked.
Lev opened and closed his mouth several times before giving up. “I’m- I didn’t know. Won’t happen again,” he finally said helplessly.
Cameron pushed off from the doorway, turning to head back to the kitchen. “See that it doesn’t,” was all he said.
Nik gave a low whistle. “At least you got fucked.”
Lev pulled up his pants, making a face. “Can we go back to dinner? I’ll dig a hole to hide in later.”
“I think your holes are quite occupied, princess,” Nik said as he headed back. Lev scampered after him, grumbling.
----
The kitchen was clean, and Lev had this feeling that Cameron had something planned. Didn’t stop Lev from shuffling after them both to Cameron’s bedroom. He’d barely set foot in the bedroom when Cameron ordered, “Go put your collar on.”
Lev backed out of the room, touching his throat absently as he slipped down the halls. He hadn’t worn it once since Cameron had bought it for him, hadn’t been sure if he’d earned it, and the idea of wearing it now sent a hot thrill of desire through him. Which... didn’t help, really, because he was still so damn horny, and that plug was still going, and he was well aware of Nik following behind him.
It was right where Lev had left it, on top of his dresser. Lev picked it up, running his fingers along the smooth leather before turning to Nik. “Help me put it on?”
“Sure thing, princess.” Nik wandered over, taking the collar from Lev’s unprotesting fingers. Once it was in place, not too snug but not loose by any definition, Lev reached up, running his fingers along the leather again.
“Thank you,” he said faintly, letting out a small breath.
He flushed the moment he realized Nik was smirking at him. Ducking his head, he headed back to Cameron’s room, shoving his hands in his hoodie pockets. Cameron was waiting, still dressed and sitting in his chair.
“Strip. Slowly.”
Heat coiled deep in Lev’s gut. He shrugged out of his hoodie awkwardly, and fiddled with it. “I- where do you want me to- to put everything?” He asked hesitantly.
“Floor,” Cameron said simply.
Right. Well then. Lev dropped the jacket on the floor, and then fumbled with Nik’s shirt until he got it off. He plopped down and started picking at the laces on his converse, wondering why in the hell he’d tied them so tight. The weight of the others’ eyes on him just made him flush deeper. He eventually managed to kick them off, and dropped them with the growing pile of clothes before he stood, pushing his pants down awkwardly. He hesitated only a moment before squirming out of his underwear last.
Only then did he lift his gaze to Cameron again, reaching up to touch the collar anxiously. There was something... he didn’t even know what, to be the only naked one in the room right now.
“Touch yourself,” Cameron ordered.
Lev’s brows furrowed. “...where?” he finally asked.
Nik snorted from where he’d drifted to settle behind Cameron to watch. Cameron arched a brow at Lev. It still took Lev a few moments to get it.
“Oh. Oh. Right.” He was pretty sure his blush was well below his chest by now. He didn’t think he’d ever touched himself in front of anyone before, and it was as awkward as he’d feared. His hand was jerky and unsure, but he was so turned on even that was enough he was quickly short of breath and tense. Holding Cameron’s gaze proved impossible, so he dropped his eyes to the floor as he did his best to obey while not pushing himself over the edge.
Lev was damn close to losing his self control when Cameron said, “Stop.” He wasn’t sure if he was relieved or not. After he lifted his eyes back to Cameron’s face, Cameron said, “Put your hands behind your back.”
Lev obeyed automatically. Even just watching Cameron slowly undo his tie had Lev’s breath catching in his throat. That wasn’t... that wasn’t supposed to be as hot as it was. Right? He tracked the tie as Cameron pulled it off and handed it to Nik.
---
Nik wordlessly took the black silk tie from Cameron and slipped behind Lev. He had his thumb on Lev’s quick pulse, his mouth on Lev’s neck while he watched the minute changes in Cam’s face as he tied Lev’s wrists together.
Nik could smell the amount of arousal on Lev and he wondered how much Cameron moved today’s events into place to get to this exact moment. This was what Cameron did, and he did everything with the razor sharp precision of someone who has been trained in these kinds of things for centuries.
Nik lightly bit into Lev’s neck as he finished knotting the tie. Lev trembled beneath his lips, his entire body holding back restraint. Nik could not blame him, he had been in this exact same position before- several times. And it was hard to not crumble beneath Cam’s icy eyes. All three of them were aware that there was one person in this room calling any and all shots and it was neither him or Lev.
Cameron tilted his head slightly to the side, pale blue eyes on Nik’s before sliding to Lev’s. The cold calculation in Cameron’s expression did not do any favors for the hardness between Nik’s own legs and if he wasn’t so damn afraid of ending up on the receiving end of Cam’s next punishment he’d whine about not being able to be fucked in this moment.
The fact Lev was the only naked person in the room only served to make him harder, and the small black remote in Cameron’s hand almost escaped his notice. The fact Nik wasn’t being filled right now had every complaint he had been building since this morning on the tip of his tongue. The only thing that stopped him was sheer self preservation and knowing Cameron would make the next solid week hell on earth.
Lev’s small, cracking, “Cameron, please?” had Cameron only notching the vibrator up another setting. Lev slumped back against Nik, his entire body trembling as he pressed his face into Nik’s shoulder, moaning.
Nik slipped a hand down Lev’s side, eyes still on Cameron’s borderline neutral face. Anyone would have thought Cameron looked uninterested, but Nik saw the amusement, the pleased look at Lev’s response, as if that was Cameron’s intention from the beginning. Nik bit into Lev’s shoulder before saying, “Can we move to the bed?”
Cameron seemed to consider it before nodding once. Nik turned Lev’s hips and propelled him forward onto the bed. “On your knees, Princess. Face in the bed.”
Lev almost seemed like he was made entirely out of jello as he did as ordered. Those golden eyes closed as he gave a low whine, turning and pressing his face into the silky black sheets. Nik looked in time to see Cameron taking his sweet time getting up from his seat. It was purely calculated and Nik was both horrified and impressed at the level he was willing to make Lev get to to be fucked.
Been there, Nik thought, dryly.
---
The sheets smelled like them both. That was all Lev could really think. He could barely think that. There was too much of everything, and Lev thought he might cry with how turned on he was. Another low whine built in the back of his throat just thinking about how much he wanted to come. There couldn’t be a higher setting on that plug, could there?
Lev hadn’t even noticed the bed dip under Cameron’s weight, but he certainly noticed when Cameron’s fingers tightened on his hair, pulling him up until he looked at Cameron. It still took a second for Lev to really focus on Cameron’s face. Only then did Cameron say simply, “Blow Nik.”
After processing what Cameron said, Lev sat up, twisting to peer at Nik. He slid off the bed, sinking to his knees in front of Nik. Faced with the fact that Nik was still fully dressed, Lev paused, blinking hard several times, before he hesitantly started using his teeth and tongue to undo the button on Nik’s jeans. It took him a couple of tries, but when he got the button undone and zipper pulled down, he was faced with another challenge. He had no idea how to get Nik’s dick out without his hands.
He stared too long, lost, and the plug’s vibration kicked up another notch. Lev lurched forward, his moan half a sob, his face pressed against Nik’s crotch as he panted. After gathering himself, he did his best, eventually managing to pull Nik’s cock free. Without hesitating, Lev dove in, working his way to the base quickly. He would have gone at it with reckless enthusiasm if Cameron hadn’t spoken up.
“Slowly,” Cameron said, voice silky smooth.
Lev whimpered, but slowed his movements, taking comfort in the hand Nik slid into his hair. Lev pulled back a little, licking and kissing his way up and down Nik’s shaft before going down on him again. He bobbed his head, slowly as Cameron had ordered, dragging the blowjob out. Nik’s fingers tightened in Lev’s hair, a low moan coming from both of them. It was easier, having something other than how fucking horny Lev was to focus on, and Lev took that to heart. Still, though, by the time Nik came down his throat, Lev was breathless and keyed up even more.
Eventually Nik moved out from under Lev. Lev all but slumped against the bed, breathing hard and whining softly. He wanted to come, or at least some sort of respite, and instead he was kneeling on the floor, face half smooshed against the side of the bed, gasping for air, and he didn’t even have anything to thrust against.
He slowly started to tense, realizing he had no idea where Cameron and Nik were. A shudder went through him. Was that it? He got Nik off, and now they were done? He... maybe that was part of the punishment? Lev could... he could handle that, he was used to that, but panic rose anyway, leaving him tense and trembling.
The plug went still without warning, and hands started pulling at the tie binding his hands together. Lev twisted a little, staring up at Nik and Cameron in confusion. His confusion only grew when Cameron asked, “What’s wrong?”
“I- I don’t-” Lev flicked a glance between them. They were both mostly undressed, which only made him feel worse. They hadn’t been leaving. He took a couple of gulping breaths, and then tried again. “I’m used to- I thought- or, I was- I was rememb- he used to just... leave me. Once he was done. I didn’t know- I didn’t know where you’d gone, and I just- I panicked.”
Cameron crouched, grabbing Lev’s chin as he said coldly, “I am not Remiel. I do not leave anyone unsatisfied and I do not take my own pleasure first.” Lev couldn’t read Cameron’s expression at all.
“We’re not leaving you, Lev. I promise,” Nik said.
Lev flushed, tears welling up. “I know you’re not him,” he said in a small voice. “I know. I wasn’t thinking, I was just- I’ve never reacted like- not ever with him, it wasn’t- I knew it wasn’t safe to- I know, and I know I’m safe with you. I just- I didn’t mean to. It was stupid.”
Cameron’s fingers slid into Lev’s hair. The action was awkward, but Lev took comfort from the contact anyway. “It’s not stupid, it’s a response.”
Nik pressed a kiss to Lev’s shoulder. “You’re safe with us.”
“I know. I- I know.” Lev took a shuddering breath, and wiped his cheeks hastily with his newly freed hands. “I didn’t- I didn’t ruin... this, did I? I don’t want to- I don’t want to stop, if you don’t.”
Cameron helped him up, settling him on the bed. “Then we don’t stop.”
Lev gave a soft sigh of relief, sniffling a little. “Okay,” he said faintly.
“How do you want to pick up? Do you just want to be fucked or do you want to go back to what we were doing?”
Lev blinked. “I want... I want to keep going. I liked it, I just- yeah. I want to go back.” He managed a smile, a little small but genuine. “I did talk a lot while you were playing.”
Cameron’s mouth quirked, just enough Lev couldn’t deny it was there. Something warm fluttered in Lev’s chest. He watched Cameron and Nik exchange looks, a conversation he couldn’t really follow, and then Nik took Lev’s hands, carefully tying them together again, in front of Lev this time.
Lev jolted a little when the plug buzzed to life again. Not near as intense as it had been when he fell apart, but it still startled him. He watched with wide eyes as they finished pulling off their clothes. Nik finished first, and was on the bed beside Lev in a heartbeat, mouth pressed to Lev’s skin. Cameron was a lot more deliberate, and Lev couldn’t help the way he tracked every single movement Cameron made. Between both of them and the plug going cheerfully, Lev’s erection, which had flagged somewhat, was back in full force. He moaned softly when Nik nibbled on his earlobe.
Nik’s hand dragged down Lev’s side, distracting him. Lev looked over as Nik stroked the inside of Lev’s thigh. When Lev leaned close, Nik kissed him. Another moan escaped Lev when Cameron climbed onto the bed beside him, his hands dragging firmly across Lev’s skin. He was getting lost in kissing when the vibrator kicked up a notch. With a small groan, he ducked away, pressing his face into Nik’s neck. Someone’s fangs pressed against his shoulder, making his breath catch harshly.
Lev found himself sliding into Nik’s lap, almost immediately rocking against Nik. Hands immediately held him still, drawing another whine from him. “Please?” he asked, plaintively, deliberately. “I just- I want- please?”
The only response was the plug’s vibrating growing more intense, and then even more so. Lev whimpered, shoving his face against Nik’s throat, squirming. Cameron’s teeth latched onto Lev’s shoulder- hard. He gasped, jerking, and then stilled obediently. He kissed up Nik’s neck apologetically, nuzzling under his jaw.
Cameron tugged at him until he slid off Nik’s lap. Lev quivered, breaths picking up in anticipation, especially as Cameron’s hands slid up his thighs, spreading his legs. Cameron tugged on the plug, sending a spark of arousal fizzling through Lev, only to shove it right back in. Lev swore he saw stars, and a low moan punched out of him.
Lev arched his back, trying to lift his hips in encouragement. Cameron simply pressed his hand against Lev’s hip, holding him still. Lev didn’t get a chance to protest. As Cameron set up an uneven, unpredictable pace, one Lev couldn’t adjust to, Nik hooked two fingers in Lev’s collar and dragged him up until Lev was in kissing distance again. Not even bothering to do anything but kiss back, Lev braced his bound hands on Nik’s chest, gasping for breath between kisses.
At some point it just became a blur of hands and touching and kisses and that damned plug, and being stretched one way, or another. Nik fucked him, he remembered that, and then Cameron pinned him to the bed and had his turn, his hand wrapped around Lev’s neck the whole time. Only when Lev was stuffed full of Cameron’s knot did he let Lev come. Lev damn near sobbed in relief, and it was probably the best damn orgasm he’d ever had.
It was only after he’d caught his breath, still locked together with Cameron that Lev realized he really had started crying. Silent, steady tears were sliding down his cheeks, the first real tears he’d had in weeks, and now he wasn’t sure how to stop.
Cameron hooked an arm around Lev’s side, his face pressed against Lev’s neck. Lev wondered if he should try to scoot closer, or pull away, but in the end he just... cried. Nik’s hand in his hair was a comfort, but it didn’t really do anything to stem the flow of tears. As far as crying sessions went, this was pretty mellow, his sobs soft. He wasn’t... it wasn’t hysteria, he just. He needed this.
Eventually they tapered off, and Lev was left sniffling softly. He tucked his face in Cameron’s neck, breathing deep. The scent of his alpha was steadying, calming. “I’m okay,” he said thickly. “I think- I think I’m done.” And now that he was he was exhausted.
Cameron looked down at him. “Are you?”
Lev considered that. “I mean... I think so? I’m always good for more crying, but... I think I’m done for now. I’m- I’m kinda tired, honestly.”
“I mean, you better be,” Nik said. When Lev looked over, Nik was smiling.
Lev turned his attention back to Cameron. “Yes. I’m done. I’m... better.”
Cameron hesitated, and then nodded. He pulled out, getting up. Lev winced a little, but couldn’t be bothered to move even a little bit. Instead he closed his eyes, letting out a tired sigh. He barely noticed when Nik cleaned him up, undoing the collar and untying his hands. At some point Nik lifted him from the bed and set him on the couch. Lev didn’t even whine, barely even opened his eyes.
When Nik scooped him up, he looped his arms around Nik’s neck loosely, sighing against Nik’s neck. The sheets he was settled against were cool, and clean. He let Nik shift him around however Nik needed, and then snuggled close. Behind him, he could feel Cameron getting in bed as well. Something clicked into place as Cameron settled. Lev didn’t even flinch as he felt Cameron’s fingers brushed along the scars on his back. This was right, was safe, was home, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
