I tried to find this waterfall back in October, but after wading waist-deep in a raging stream due to recent rainfall, I had to give up and turn back. This time, I was better prepared, but also luckily had much more favorable conditions! Can’t wait to head back soon and explore the area some more. I always seem to slack this time of year with hiking and posting, being busy with work, the holidays and hunting season, and this year is no different. I recently started a new job teaching chemistry and 7th grade life science, and that has taken up a huge chunk of my time. I am also about to start a second job, but that one is all about the perks, so I’ll have even less free time to get out and chase adventures. The way the light suddenly burst through the trees as I was shooting this middle section of a waterfall seemed to stop time in its tracks. It was almost as if I had been instantly transported to this other world, a fantasy where time stood still and all other things were forgotten. It’s Wednesday and you know what that means! I’ve absolutely loved shooting waterfalls lately. There’s something about finding the perfect combination of settings, from the perfect angle and with the perfect light that makes so intriguing to me.
