Exactly my thoughts! I was proven wrong about Jeia thank god and I’m really happy with how their story is written and I hope they’re endgame.

But I hate Nikki and Nate together so much. They admit to being incompatible, but still have this whole on and off thing going on so far.

I hope the writers don’t shove them back together, or have them be on and off like Jackie and Kelso. Nikki deserves so much more than that, and so does Nate.

Hi! Did S2 make you ship Jeia even more than before? I'm asking because a friend who wasn't too into them last season just texted to announce that she now ships them! What did you like best and worst about how they were written in the first half of S2?

I still ship Jeia just as much as before. And yay another jeia lover. Worst part is them dragging Nikki/Nate into what I fear will be an on again, off again relationship of the show. When honestly I think they better as friends right now. Best part, honestly I enjoyed the whole thing so I can’t pick just one. Lol but that’ll probably change after a rewatch or two.

Okay, so in summary, so far this season is really good. Definitely worth the wait.

The only thing I didn’t like is that Nate/Nikki is still being dragged on. They are very well written this season don’t get me wrong, but also why do the writers keep dragging on that fucking relationship?

Them having sweet moments doesn’t change the fact that Nate wants and is certain on having that forever kind of life and Nikki probably doesn’t want that.

Even with her talk with Gwen, I feel like that made Nikki realize there are other options there and not everyone has to go by one plan.

Then again, that pregnancy scare did seem to really help Nate mature, so he probably has different ideas on the future now.

Gonna say this again, but if one person (Nate) wants to have a forever relationship at seventeen and the other (Nikki) wants to keep all her options open and take more chances, I don’t think that relationship is meant to be.

And it wouldn’t fair to either of them to do some long game shit, because it’d feel like there is a timeline for them to 'finally' be happy. Nate would have to 'wait' to get his forever love and Nikki would only have a period of time to take chances, and that’s not fair to either of them.

The trope of fucking up good relationships to put the "main" one together or back together or whatever is so annoying.

Especially if the main one broke up for a valid reason and their differences never changed. It's not "meant to be", it’s not "romantic", it’s backsliding.

I love how carefree Nikki and Nate are together in season 2. It makes me want them to get back together, but I also feel like if they did, that carefree and genuine happiness would go away and they’d go back to the constant arguing and being miserable aside from a few rare moments.

It’s like Jackie and Kelso, where they were happy when they got back together in s3 and early on in s4, but they ended up going back to status quo for the most part.

So maybe Nikki and Nate staying friends or friends with benefits would be better than an actual reunion with them as a couple.

Nikki and Nate as friends with benefits was actually pretty fun to watch (aside from that moment which I won’t mention again), but I hope they don’t end up together nor get back together, and then break up.
