Demon mc gets stressed and subconsciously tugs at their horns and rub at the base where they grow out from similarly to how human will sometimes pull at their hair or pick at their skin.
A self soothing action found in demons with high anxiety.
Diavolo noticed this action over time and made a point to have you sit next to him or one of the other lords for comfort. If he catches mc, reaching to tug at their horns, he will gently take their hands and shake his head authoritatively. " No tugging, it'll hurt you"
Mc puts their hands back down as diavolo gives them scratches and pets on the spot in between their horns. He dgaf who sees, what is anyone gonna do??? He's the prince, and you're his favorite.

THIS MAY BE A LITTLE LONG, BUT PLEASE LISTEN TO MY PROBABLY FAR-FETCHED THEORY INVOLVING BARBATOS/DIAVOLO/AND SOLOMON.
Lately (yesterday and today) I have been thinking about how Barbatos has stated in his devilgram "Tea time with you" card that he works so hard as Diavolos steward because he feels as if he has to attone for somthing that "had a great affect on the lives of Solomon and the young master." And how this is POSSIBLY connected to the reason he made a pact with Solomon In the first place?
I BELEIVE in Obey Me OM it's stated somewhere that the reason Barbatos made a pact with Solomon was because he took pity on him and was impressed with Solomon for being able to summon him and not die. (Dont take this part for fact because it's been a while, and I would have to find it again) Apparently, Solomon summoned him so Barbatos could heal? Resurrect? Someone Solomon either loves or Cares about? A friend? (Somthing along those lines, I think). And then Barb took him to the Reapers Cave, healed him, made him the Solomon we know today. (And I think this is definitely a "great affect" on Solomon (it's literally life changing)
And this might be far-fetched, but it's POSSIBLY connected to Diavolos' childhood with what happened with his Mom and the Demon King. I don't have a lot of evidence for this (again, it's a little far-fetched) except for what Barbatos said about doing something that affected Diavolos' life.
(And the only BIG thing that affected Diavolos life was the fact his mom died which affected his dad and cause Diavolo to have a bad childhood.) (honestly it's shown throughout the series to possibly weigh heavy on him and I think he needs a therapist 😭)
But please tell me what you all think! I would love to hear thoughts. Again, this is possibly far-fetched, and I have only thought about this for a couple of days (I also have not finished Obey Me OM or Nightbringer YET to completion. so it's very possible I am missing something)

Okay so some other people might have mentioned this but IDC so I'm gonna say it.
SPOILERS FOR LESSON 45!!!!
Okay so we all know that devildom train is owned by the extremist wing of the house of lords right? They were the ones who ended up getting Lucifer locked up and framed.
Don't they still own the train station? I mean I know a long ass time has passed but there was no indication that the train station was revoked. And the most recent lesson has a test involving DEATH or some level of destruction that was sponsored by the ones who owned the train station.
Now I know a lot of devildom events have a high level of risk but this was the first time it felt like the direct result of failure was absolute death instead of a thousand years in ice or something.
And it was specific death. Not to everybody. Just to the two teams. Do you guys think the extremest house of lords are still after the brothers after all this time? Just using the whole finals as an excuse to put both the brothers, the angels, mc, barbatos and diavolo along with solomon all in a life or death scenario.
Sure we got out of it but for a while there both Satan and Barbatos were worried we'd all die. It wasn't like the other life or death situation we've been in, it felt serious. Like this was a subtle way of the House of lords to try to off all of us.
That's just a theory though.
An obey me! theory.

Barbatos continually manipulating and gaslighting Diavolo for literally no reason.
Barbatos doing and saying the most fucked up little things as if they were completely normal.
Barbatos convincing everyone in the area that, he did, infact dropkick that child in self-defense.
Just- Barbatos being a true embodiment of time, he's not a monster and it wouldnt be fair to call him "evil" because his very existence would be considered an example of amorality.
He has no real masters, just many foolish men who somehow managed to have the smallest hold of him/time and think that means they won.
Anyways, my actually headcannon: Seconds before Diavolo is set to die, Barbatos eats him/his grimoire/his power. Fulfilling not only the Saturn eating his children trope but also bringing us back full circle to Black Butler.
In this essay I will

‼️ obey me nightbringer spoilers ‼️
we talk about the demon brothers or solomon or the others a lot when talking about nightbringer but can we talk about mc for a sec?
they were totally ripped away from everything they loved for the 5th or so time and still try to help the characters because they love the guys so much. and then they are told to leave the devildom again to go back to human world but that would mean they realistically don’t have anywhere to go, they would have no idea what era they would be transferred to and they might be transferred so far back in time that a unknown place like the celestial realm feels more like home. i’m sure when mc wakes up they can stay but imagine the fear and sadness they felt idk i just really feel for our mc :(

Nightbringer Prologue
Okay, I just watched the new prologue Nightbringer trailer and WOW! The art style is different and I love how Solomon is narrating! I've seen some people posting theories for it. So, I decided to give my own little opinions.
First let's go off things before we start theorizing:
Barbs is the demon, that is confirmed by video. There's nothing much to be said about that.
The human is MOST LIKELY not Solomon. Barbatos met him when he was on the verge of death after he was summoned by a unique spell. In the video, it doesn't seem like the human has one foot in the grave, they just seem sad.
The human is also not likely to be MC. The Devs try their hardest to give the MC no appearance whatsoever. So why start now?
Theories:
Solomon is the king. Someone else pointed this out, but the demon was summoned by the king. Not called on, brought forth, summoned. The only person to have a pact with Barbatos? Solomon. Also, in the original mythology, Solomon is a wise king.
The Demon King is the king. He's the only character to be called upon with the title. It would make sense, Barbatos is/was a servant for him. And people are usually summoned before a king if they need to speak with him.
The human is Lilith. I haven't seen anyone else bring this up. The only other human that could possibly be in that time period, that we know of, is Lilith. The human seems young and feminine. Considering the inferred time period, Lilith would be young because Diavolo would have just made her human. Also, while years may seem long to humans, it has been said that those years pass in the blink of an eye for demons and angels. It is very possible Lilith was a few years into her human life when the story takes place.
But on that note, we also don't know what period this took place. Was is after the brother's fall? Before? How long before or after?

So I was reading chapter 53...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then there's the whole..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now I'm even more intrigued by what was happening with Solomon when he made his pact with Barbatos. Something terrible must have been happening to Solomon, the way he was crying when he encountered Barb, and how he risked death to summon him, asking to be saved from a dark path. Damn, I can't wait for Nightbringer.
Any theories?

OMG, I just noticed. We are called the “LIGHTBRINGER” of the Devildom on the birthday banner. Does that put us in opposition with the Nightbringer, I wonder? 🤔

Nightbringer mc
You can not convince me that Solomon doesn't have videos of mc chasing their own tail or scaring themselves when their wings touch something.
Ever since gaining this new form, it's been a struggle. Learning how to use their new extremities and limbs. New parts of their brain have been activated thanks to the new physical form. So when mc's wings subconsciously move or instinctively flap, they get spooked and flinch, and Solomon tries so hard to hold his tongue and not laugh.
Or when mc's tail kept moving all on its own, and it was pissing themselves off. Solomon holds up his phone and records his student going in circles like a dog trying to catch their own tail and getting so frustrated " BECAUSE IT WONT FUCKING STAY STILL!!!"

Solomon is Prime Suspect Number 1 and I don’t think he is our Solomon
So I know there’s been some theories floating around that Solomon in NB isn’t our Solomon but the Solomon from the past. I’ve been suspecting it myself at times, even at the very beginning of Nightbringer. Lesson 14 has only increased those suspicions. I also remembered something that should have been a big red flag, which I’ll put below the cut.
What I think may have happened is that past Barbatos, under past Solomon’s orders brought MC to the past/this timeline or past Sol used past Barb’s abilities to see into the different timelines and found that specific MC’s.
It could also be that Past Solomon is just an opportunistic interloper but I’m more inclined to believe that Nightbringer could either be Barb being made to do this under Solomon or even an alias of Solomon and Barbatos being a team. Or maybe it is our Solomon and it’s lighter than what I suspect. I’ll post more about everything under the cut.
1. I know I posted previously on Solomon being particularly mean in Nightbringer. Pushing the brothers into the bathtub seemed pretty mean to me, especially with how he tricked Leviathan, the most insecure of them all. He genuinely seems surprised at how MC can befriend demons, especially Diavolo in Lesson 14. He says he wasn’t considering a pact with Levi but would now.
2. He makes a pact with Asmo when he’s been feeling insecure and therefore vulnerable. He even told MC that he would not pursue a pact with Asmodeus in the past but then does so anyways. Which brings me to another point: What if he never had the pact to begin with? Asmo didn’t feel anything towards Sol before this pact like he did with MC, who does hold a pact with another version of him.
3. And then there’s the obvious red flag, that’s been right in front of us the whole time. MC does not have pacts with these brothers yet they still can syphon some of their powers to cast spells like opening the gates to the Celestial Realm or stopping a rampaging Beel.
Solomon not only summons Barbatos to his side but also makes him open a portal back to the castle. Our Solomon does not have a pact with this Barbatos. He should not be able to do this. Solomon should have to reforge his pact with Barbatos just like he would Asmodeus unless there’s some weird exception to him and Barb.
So either our Solomon never showed up at all or Past Solomon replaced him early on. Or our Solomon is up to something, whether it be bad or good.
4. This would also explain why Barbatos is absolutely furious with Solomon. Barbatos used to freely travel between timelines and ended up hurting people. His penance is serving Diavolo and having a pact with Solomon. For Solomon to make Barb use his powers like this would be the ultimate betrayal, especially after Barbatos made him into Solomon The Wise. I do think Solomon knows why Barb is mad. They’re very close in SWD and Barb trusts him. With their friendship, I believe he’d remember an event where Barb was really upset with his actions.
5. Solomon tried to have MC make an unbreakable vow to side with humanity at the fountain. Had it not been for Thirteen coming in and stopping him, this could have turned out worse than the end of Lesson 11.
This is out of character for our Solomon. Our Solomon has always stressed he is humanity’s protector and that he would like us to join him but he has never tried to force us into it in SWD. The choice has always been ours and he’s always been a supportive mentor. He had a huge blowout with a former apprentice many years back and you can tell he has regrets. I don’t think our Sol would do that to MC.
Solomon is not stupid. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He knows the rules of that fountain because Thirteen based her rules for her cave on it. He didn’t forget.
I also think Past Solomon has studied our Solomon quite well to know he is a terrible cook and acts like a “cheerful idiot” at times and has taught himself to play that role.
Now onto MC. I’m not sure if they know at this point. I’d imagine if they did, they’d keep quiet for their own safety.
I also have want to add something else that may be nothing but it’s brought up several times, including recently. Many characters do not even consider Solomon human anymore. Yes, he is immortal but he’s technically human. Is there a deeper meaning behind this or is it just because of their human biases and the fact that he’s extended his lifespan?
Solomon’s Goal
What’s Solomon’s purpose here? To get MC to make the pacts with these brothers and then force MC to side with humanity which would also make them use their pacts and the brothers for humanity against the other two realms. Michael said we’d be an enemy to the Celestial Realm should we side with Nightbringer who very well could be Barbatos, albeit under duress, working under Sol’s orders. Or, on a possible lighter note, using MC as an example to why humans should stand on equal footing to angels and demons.
We will need to find out who the person was that Solomon was talking to as a child. We know he talked to Thirteen but it’s not her because he already told us that. Maybe it’s Lilith? A new character?
Whatever is going on, I believe we are in a different timeline than our original and RAD not being founded yet was actually done on purpose as well as Simeon and Luke appearing now in the DD.
I would love to hear what others have to say. Maybe we can brainstorm? Let me know if I missed something or got a detail wrong! I’m perpetually sleepy like Belphie these days so I may have missed something.

Nightbringer Lesson 13: Some Thoughts (spoilies)
Okay, first of all... what the actual fuck was this??
Tumblr media
"My former brothers"?? DOES THAT MEAN AN ANGEL JUST HELPED US??? WAS IT MICHAEL???
????!!!!
Also, "should you choose to ally yourself with Nightbringer..." First of all, Mx Mysterious Angel Person, We didn't ally with anyone. We have gotten absolutely no choice in any of this so far. The Celestial Realm is going to get its panties in a bunch over something we haven't even done 😭
Second, the fact that the Celestial realm wouldn't look kindly on allying with Nightbringer DEFINITELY tells us Nightbringer is 100% demon. I don't think they'd care so much about a human sorcerer (not that I ever suspected Solomon but you see my point). It also tells us Nightbringer is notable enough to draw the attention AND ire of the Celestial realm. Who is this person and why does the Celestial realm dislike them so much? Barbatos what did you do
Third, "tolerate your behavior"???? Bitch we didn't do anything 😭😭😭 It makes it sound like the Celestial realm is already not happy with us but we are a pawn in all of this 😭😭 Shouldn't they know that? Or do they know and just not care??? Are we retroactively responsible? Agreeing to all this somewhere down the road and just not aware of it yet??? What did we doo?
Tumblr media
Okay so obviously the convo might have gone different if you picked the other option, but Solomon says "Someone teleported you here, right?" And it makes a point of Barbatos' silence on the issue. Why would it do that unless he knew something??? There's a lot of theories that say Barbatos IS Nightbringer and tbh I'm in that boat too, but even if he isn't I'm willing to bet all my remaining Grimm that he at least knows wtf is going on. Who Nightbringer is and that we're from the future. BET. BARBATOS KNOWS SOMETHING.
Tumblr media
In connection with my last thought, as Diavolo is talking about sending us back to the human world he starts getting frustrated and is refusing to listen to arguments. Diavolo is admittedly 100% correct in where he stands. We are a threat to the Devildom and his tenuous reign on things right now. He doesn't know us well enough to confidently say otherwise and he really can't risk it right now.
But before he can actually make a decision and say we have to go back, Barbatos cuts in and suggests stepping away to give Diavolo a chance to calm down and reconsider. Barbatos has made it clear he wants us to stay in the Devildom for some reason and it really feels like he's doing whatever it takes to keep it that way.
He knows something. I swear he does. I'm watching you turquoise demon man. I'm watching you.
Also could someone explain how we actually got the ring? Maybe I missed something near the start or I just haven't progressed far enough in the OG game but it feels like that was an answer we were actually supposed to know and I was like ??? I have Lucifer's Ring Of Light??? Neat???

I love theorizing but I don't always love posting my theories in case they're wrong, but this is one that hasn't left my mind for a while and we were discussing it again on discord so...
There's a big difference between an angel and a demon. When the brothers fell, they were still angels, we know this. They had committed the sin of disobeying their father but they were still pretty innocent. They were just barely showing signs of sins when they landed in the Devildom. What if, after seeing their potential, the Demon King gave them their titles as Avatars of Sin; they were vulnerable angels, completely at his mercy to mold into what he wished with just words. It was a way of controlling them (possibly a way of controlling Diavolo as well since Lucifer became his right hand man and the others were elevated to higher statuses too), put it into their heads that they were this sin, and the more they indulged in these guilty pleasures, the more they became their sin.

This gesture isn’t as sweet as it may seem. We have been with Solomon at Cocytus Hall since arriving here. He has expressed how much he loves the domesticity of living with MC. This has been a safe haven for MC and himself.
He also explained that he was quite jealous of MCs relationship with the brothers so I imagine he would want to keep them close. So why is he letting them stay here?
The brothers are unstable and unpredictable. MC being there alone is definitely dangerous. They seem like they aren’t a threat to MC currently but things can change very quickly, they are still fresh demons with little control over their emotions. It’s also probably emotionally exhausting for MC to be around the brothers all the time, because they aren’t the ones they know. It’s heartbreaking having to get to know somebody again who used to know you better than anyone. I imagine MC has sought out comfort from Solomon since arriving because he’s the only one who really understands.
Solomon is the only one who knows all this and he still had us stay at HoL.
It may be a a gesture of goodwill. He knows MC does truly love the brothers and maybe he genuinely thinks this is what they would want… but I don’t think that’s why Solomon asked to have them stay there
Solomon wanted MC to side with humanity so badly, side with him so badly. But even in the face of death MC chose to give the grimoire to Lucifer. I think Solomon must feel incredibly betrayed. He has been here for us. He has kept us safe. He has shown us time and time again that he is devoted to us and we still choose the brothers. He’s realized that no matter what he does, no matter how good the cause or just or kind or caring he is, he will ALWAYS come second. It must be destroying him. I imagine he can’t even stand to be around MC right now.
I’m sure he feels resentful and sad about losing something that was never his to begin with. He finds love for the first time in centuries, feels a real connection, and he has to accept it will never be reciprocated. He has to accept MC would rather die with the brothers than live with him.

⚠️Spoiler for OG Obey Me⚠️
Yoooooo if Nightbringer takes place like straight after falling from the Celestial Realm, that means that at this time Lilith is still alive in the human realm.
Do you think we’ll meet her?
