Feel as though I should explain the pact make one a bit more. In my headcanon pact marks are sensitive and mean a lot to where they're placed. Mammon didn't know Marty well enough at the time for it to be "purposeful placement" as Solomon thinks in the comic but LOL. The pact marks can be very sensitive to the touch and when the magic is used the pact mark is felt it (with the demon's emotions and users emotions). In the comic it was Solomon's first time seeing the mark cause its early on in their relationship but he knows the neck is a sensitive spot for Marty for a lot of reasons and immediately jumps to a jealous conclusion that mammon had purposefully placed it there. Anyways enough of my yapping...
