Just watched this myself, not seen anything quite like it.
y'all HAVE to watch this...interview??? with the inmates of the prison where luigi mangione is being held.
the reporter is standing outside the prison walls, while the inmates are inside watching the news, and collectively screaming out one-word answers to questions loud enough to be heard by the reporter.
I've never seen anything like it

Ignoring the real possibility he intentionally let himself be caught from the little we know so far Luigi Mangione's case is a fascinating combination of astonishing brilliance and confusing stupidity. This young man plans and executes his assassination and escape with such a meticulous care and calmness that it's suspected that he's a professional hitman. He comes up with Riddler-sque moves like writing his manifesto poetically on the bullets and leaving his backpack behind full of Monopoly money. He carefully wears a mask to avoid being identified but removes it because a woman who was checking him into the hostel was flirting with him and wanted to see his smile. He still manages to escape the most surveilled city in the country in the midst of ongoing national manhunt only to get caught in the middle of bumfuck nowhere Pennsylvania while eating at the McDonalds. Because for some reason he had the same clothes and mask as in New York and was carrying the same gun and suppressor. And when the cops detained him he showed them the same fake id he used in New York. And oh yeah he's a frat bro gym rat who has a masters degree in computer science from Penn but reads stupid self-help books about being on the grind and is 'anti-woke' while being bisexual suffering from anxiety and wanting to end oppressive capitalism. Not even god himself could invent a person like this
#EDIT: this post got way bigger than i predicted so just clarifying no i don't automatically assume he's guilty#he's a suspect at this point and no of course i don't trust the police#also so many people in the notes saying they know guys like this okay i believe you clearly god could make a person like this#luigi mangione#.txt

This Luigi business has, I think, really exposed something we all knew about in the US justice system, but has for so long been pretended to not exist by all of this country's communication and media controllers.
Despite the fact that we are all meant to be private citizens, all held within equal respect by and to the law, there are some very different classes of people as far as courts are concerned.
If Luigi Mangione had shot some middle class, pencil pushing office schlub or retail salesman, there'd have been a however temporary stink made about on the television. And if they ever did catch him, he'd be dragged through the courts, and maybe become the center of a "shame on you" piece on the 6 o'clock news. But in all likelihood they never would have bothered to catch him. They'd say "we're doing our best" and they'd forget about it. No manhunt, no media circus, no $60,000 bounty put on his head by the FBI.
If Luigi Mangione had shot, say, a black man, nothing would have happened at all. It's unlikely we would even have any inkling of it.
But Luigi Mangione didn't kill someone from the lower class, he didn't even kill someone from the middle class. He killed Bryan Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare, a Fortune 500 company. He killed a nobleman. And that means he's to be dragged into court surrounded by a small army of guards, charged with crimes wholly unrelated to whatever he's allegedly done, and before all of that, made the subject of a national manhunt.
If nothing else, it's become abundantly clear just who the courts consider to be worth their time.

I really do think people are starting to realize the important fight is between us and the billionaires.
My mom, a longtime adherent of Everything Said on Fox News, actually used to be a thoughtful person who taught me how to vet my sources online and make my own decisions after thorough research and evaluation. The post-9/11 political scene changed her. And I see a bit of her old self come back every time I've spoken to her since the UHC CEO got shot.
Over Christmas I convinced her that nationalized healthcare and universal housing are worthy causes by framing it as, "That's the only way you get the working class out from under the thumb of our corporate overlords."
She initially started in with some means-testing response about drug addicts but I remember how to speak Evangelical Christian. So I said, "Well sure, a lot of unhoused people struggle with substance use. But who becomes unhoused in this country?" I gave several examples I knew she would have to agree with (veterans, foster kids who age out of the system, etc), and added, "Those people are sleeping rough because our system failed them in favor of lining corporate pockets. Jesus commanded us to care for the poor, not for the CEO of Amazon." And all of a sudden my Fox News poisoned mother was like, "Blackrock should be forced to give every vacant house back to the American PEOPLE so we can house the homeless!"
There's the mom I remember from the Before Times. And that's how Luigi Mangione saved Christmas!

Thinking of sending something to Luigi Mangione in prison? Read this first.
As a way of showing support for Luigi Mangione, much chatter has been going on about contacting or providing for him materially while he is in prison. However, one should be realistic about whether things you could send Mangione would be able to benefit from it, respond to it, or even receive it.
To be explicit: in the federal facility where Mangione is being held, in sending letters, those incarcerated are nominally limited to purchasing at most 40 domestic stamps a week; in receiving books and publications, they are limited to keeping only what can fit in the storage areas of their cells; and in receiving commissary money, they can spend only $360 of it per month.
Therefore, below is a curated list of charitable alternatives towards incarcerated people for what people are sending to Mangione, along with a Charity Navigator rating when applicable. Unless otherwise stated, all programs are limited to the United States of America.
Letters
Letters for Liberation: A prison penpaling collective that runs a public penpal program.
Prison Correspondence Project: A volunteer collective supporting LGBTQ incarcerated people in the USA and Canada, which runs a penpal program; also accepts funds to aid in sending resources and newsletters inside.
Black and Pink (rating): An organization supporting LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS positive incarcerated people, which runs a penpal program; also accepts funds for its various support programs.
Books
Books to Prisoners (rating): Distributes books nationwide; accepts funds, or used books.
LGBT Books to Prisoners (not rated): Distributes books to LGBTQ people nationwide; accepts funds, used books, or online purchases of books through wishlists.
Prison Book Program (rating): Distributes books nationwide; accepts funds, used books, or online purchases of books through wishlists.
Sex Worker Outreach Program Behind Bars: Directory of Amazon wishlists for incarcerated sex workers, trafficking victims, and survivors to purchase books directly for a person.
Women's Prison Book Program (not rated): Distributes books to cisgender and transgender women nationwide; accepts funds, used books, or online purchases of books through wishlists.
Also: check this directory of prison book programs in CA/GB/USA curated by the Prison Book Program to support a local organization more specific to a region (such as the Appalachian Book Project, serving KY, MD, OH, TN, VA, WV).
Commissary funds
The Commissary Fund (no rating): Sends commissary funds to incarcerated people in New York state.
Last Prisoner Project (rating): Among their other programs, sends commissary funds to people incarcerated for cannabis offenses.
Mission [Green] (no rating): Sends commissary funds to people incarcerated for cannabis offenses, in addition to legal advocacy.
Other forms of support
Innocence Project (rating): Criminal justice reform organization working against wrongful convictions.
The Marshall Project (rating): A nonprofit, nonpartisan news organization about the criminal justice system.
National Bail Fund Network (rating): A directory of community-led bail and bond funds throughout the nation, with the option to give to all as a collective through the directory, or pick out a specific local organization to give to.
Prison Math Project (not rated): Connects incarcerated people with mathematicians to support their interest in mathematics by correspondence.

Did anyone notice this?
@cal_cifer_2.0on TikTok- Thank you.
In my opinion, there's a noticeable openness in how they allow Luigi to be vulnerable. They recognize his significance to us, but this also creates space for those who might wish to harm him. The mayor seems to use Luigi as a human and social shield to deflect attention from his own issues.
It's particularly odd that just the day before, Mayor Adams met with CEOs, billionaires, and government officials, despite already facing trouble for previous interactions with government officials. This attempt to curry favor looks questionable.
Adams faces multiple criminal charges, including bribery and fraud, related to accepting illegal gifts and campaign contributions from Turkish nationals and officials. Prosecutors allege he accepted over $100,000 in luxury travel and gifts in exchange for favors, such as assistance with opening a consulate in New York. The indictment specifies that he received discounted hotel stays and sought foreign campaign contributions, violating campaign finance laws.
Depending on the outcome, he could face significant prison time. These accusations have raised concerns about his political future, with calls for his resignation from various lawmakers. But again, you wanted to walk him down and let him know he did this in your city… “right'”.

News Nation interviewed the prisoners where Luigi Mangione was being held and it was honestly one of the most amazing things to see. Prisoners never get a voice and they were so excited to have the ability to answer questions.
They also believe Luigi Mangione should be freed.

I promise y’all that screaming at non-voters is exactly what got us here. I come from a family of law enforcement and government officials. I’ve worked for the shitass UN up until late December. I know how this government works. I have been a firm withholder of my vote ever since I was old enough to do so, and this is why. Anything can be bought with money, even an entire nation. All of these people are also Ivy League grads/students like me — known sociopaths who can manipulate the entire system and get out of all kinds of trouble just because of privilege, and I say that as a black woman who had to fight extra hard to get into the Ivy League.
Elon Musk was never, EVER a fucking idiot either. No idiot could ever be smart enough to manipulate this entire government and country so that he can use someone as a sock puppet to run it. When someone like the Cybertruck Bomber with years of experience simping for this country (Active Duty soldier), or Luigi Mangione or that New Orleans ISIS/Veteran guy does some shit like that, they were trying to tell y’all. Timothy McVeigh and other “domestic terrorists” like Kaczynski too have been warning us about things that have all eventually turned out to be true. Bless y’all’s hearts, I hope y’all can handle what’s coming for generations to come because y’all got yourselves into this.

Luigi Nicholas Mangione is innocent and is being set up by Mayor Eric Adams of New York to placate the oligarchs that have him in their pocket.
If you think that sounds like conspiracy theorist talk, let me spell it out for you.
Mayor Adams has been charged by the US Department of Justice for accepting bribes and allowing himself to be influenced.
“For nearly a decade, ADAMS has used his prominent positions in New York City government to obtain illegal campaign contributions and luxury travel. ADAMS solicited and accepted these benefits from foreign nationals, businessmen, and others.”
This is a quote straight from the Department of Justice’s website. The article goes on to say that Adams pressured the New York Fire Department to allow the opening of a skyscraper despite the fact that it had not passed inspection because he had been paid off by a “foreign government.” If Adams could do this to his own fire department, why would it be such a stretch he would pressure the police department?
What happened with Mangione is simple. The elite of New York City and the rest of the country were shaken by the support of the UHC Shooter and were pressuring Adams to find the culprit so they could make an example of him. Adams then put pressure on the NYPD to find someone, regardless of if it was the actual perpetrator.
The NYPD, facing a restless public that would not help them and mounting pressure from their higher ups, stuck to their tried and true method of lying through their teeth.
More conspiracy talk you say? In 2022 the Brooklyn DA overturned 378 convictions due to false testimony from New York police officers. The charges overturned ranged from felony charges to trivial parking violations.
Side note: the city refused to pay for their victims legal fees or recoup the fines they paid.
I believe that Adams, the prosecution, and the police department all know that Mangione did not commit this crime. But sacrificing one little human life is worth it to them to appease their corporate overlords.
I also believe that they know we know which is why they are marking Mangione as a Terrorist so that any support or talk of him will stop. More than anything, they want Luigi Mangione to disappear. They want to use what they do to him to be an example to keep us peasants in line, while he rots in the dungeon created by their cruel lords.
Don’t let them get their way. Keep talking about him, keep fighting for him, keep fighting for all the people they’ve locked away to keep them quiet.
And remember, if everyone is a terrorist, then no one is. Don't let them shut you up.
