Did anyone notice this?
@cal_cifer_2.0on TikTok- Thank you.
In my opinion, there's a noticeable openness in how they allow Luigi to be vulnerable. They recognize his significance to us, but this also creates space for those who might wish to harm him. The mayor seems to use Luigi as a human and social shield to deflect attention from his own issues.
It's particularly odd that just the day before, Mayor Adams met with CEOs, billionaires, and government officials, despite already facing trouble for previous interactions with government officials. This attempt to curry favor looks questionable.
Adams faces multiple criminal charges, including bribery and fraud, related to accepting illegal gifts and campaign contributions from Turkish nationals and officials. Prosecutors allege he accepted over $100,000 in luxury travel and gifts in exchange for favors, such as assistance with opening a consulate in New York. The indictment specifies that he received discounted hotel stays and sought foreign campaign contributions, violating campaign finance laws.
Depending on the outcome, he could face significant prison time. These accusations have raised concerns about his political future, with calls for his resignation from various lawmakers. But again, you wanted to walk him down and let him know he did this in your city… “right'”.

"Adams has consistently said he is cooperating with the investigations and has denied wrongdoing through the steady drumbeat of searches, seizures and departures of top members of his administration.
But as news of the indictment spread Wednesday night, he began to mount a defiant defense that he was being targeted by the federal government for his political views, adopting language similar to former President Donald Trump and other politicians accused of crimes."
"The indictment alleges illegal actions stretching back to 2014, from when he was Brooklyn Borough president.
“For nearly a decade, Adams sought and accepted improper valuable benefits, such as luxury international travel, including from wealthy foreign businesspeople and at least one Turkish government official seeking to gain influence over him,” the indictment reads."

BREAKING: Mayor Adams Indictment Unsealed
Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted on federal charges of bribery conspiracy, fraud and soliciting illegal foreign campaign donations, according to a bombshell federal indictment unsealed by Manhattan prosecutors Thursday.
The five-count indictment — the first against a sitting New York City mayor — details for the first time the charges against Hizzoner after he was indicted by a grand jury as part of a long-running federal probe that’s ensnared a number of his closest allies and aides.
“Eric Adams the defendant, sought and accepted illegal campaign contributions in the form of “nominee” or “straw” contributions, meaning that the true contributors conveyed their money through nominal donors, who falsely certified they were contributing their own money,” the indictment said.
“By smuggling their contributions to Adams through U.S.-based straw donors, Adam’s overseas contributors defeated federal laws that serve to prevent foreign influence on U.S. elections.” 🤔

Don Freeman drew this scene of Mayor LaGuardia at work in his office in 1936-37. I don't know whether it was for a Christmas card.

I watched Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and was initially surprised that Walter Peck is now Mayor of New York. Then I considered the actual New York Mayors in recent decades, and figured that Peck would be an improvement.

“I knew him …. I get it”.
*Thank you to those in the clip for this perspective.
Thank you, Don Lemon. Putting aside what the public might feel about CNN, here is a person who claims to have worked with the victim. He says, "I understand their stance and get where they’re coming from." Now, some are saying he could be lying—possible. But I think it’s safe to take it with a grain of salt, while also considering it at face value. How many people, so far, have spoken on behalf of the accused? How many have said, "Luigi was kind, Luigi listened"? Now, compare those voices to the people who have spoken on the victim's behalf. Collect the patterns being laid out, and ask the questions they don’t want you to ask.
I would also add, this is Don Lemon. He is not just a face you can see and act oblivious to what’s being shown. This man was likely approached—preliminary interviews are made by producers and showrunners, and then he’s asked to be on camera. To be filmed in public places, individuals typically do not need to sign a waiver, as there is no expectation of privacy in such settings. However, if the footage is intended for commercial use, a model release or waiver may be required, granting permission to use the person’s likeness. In some cases, specific events or productions may request a waiver, especially if they plan to use the footage in a way that could imply endorsement or for promotional purposes.
So, again, this person—likely still at the job he’s at—holds the distinction of having run in the same circles as the victim and work with them on many collaborative projects. Yet all this person can say on Brian’s behalf is, "I knew him, and I get it.

For reference, in Connecticut, politicians have to be wary of accepting a free lunch from a lobbyist.
Mayor Adam’s regularly accepted travel benefits from $9k-$41k and disguised disclosure reporting, and in an exceptionally halfassed way.
He is cooked.
As a side note: the bribery is a little funny because Turkish companies were trying to get around building regulations, so soon after earthquakes in Turkey revealed a criminal lack of adherence to construction codes.
