I am writing these words after losing hope in everyone… except for you, my friends. Tumblr has a very large number of users, estimated in the millions . That’s an enormous number! But imagine, with all those of people, how would you feel if people saw you and ignored you? You’d feel deeply disappointed, right? Or maybe you’d even wish for death.

Have you ever wished for death? For me, I feel like I’d rather die than be ignored by everyone. If I wasn’t in desperate need of help, I wouldn’t ask anyone for it. I really need help.

Imagine for a moment that you have a small child you love dearly, and you’re forced to watch her suffer in front of your eyes. This isn’t just an imagination for me; it’s my reality. My family and I live this pain every day.

Please, be our hope. Be our voice. Be the ones who save us from despair. Don’t ignore us. Donate, even if it’s just $5 .

This is my daughter Salma. She is only 3 months old.

She was born under heavy bombardment and fire belts.

Now she suffers from a severe psychological condition due to the terrifying explosions and horrifying sounds all around us.

Her tiny body trembles in fear, and her eyes are lost, searching for safety she’s never known.

This morning after a year of being a catechumen i was chrismated into Orthodox church. Just a few years ago a thought of me joining church or even believing in God would've felt ridiculous to me. Life is strange and unexpected. I'm immensely grateful to all the people i've met from different parts of the world and who've showed me the type of Christianity i didn't even know existed after knowing mostly just right wing western evangelicals in my childhood. I'm equally grateful to all the wonderful Muslims and Jews i've met. Even though my path was ultimately different i don't think i would've ever found faith without learning about Islam and Judaism and seeing the beauty and depth that religion can have. My journey is only starting but i feel i've come home

Nader @abdalsalam2000 is only seventeen and has been displaced more than ten times because of the genocide in Gaza. During the ceasefire, him and his family were finally allowed to return home, but found their home destroyed by bombs. Since the ceasefire ended, they’ve been forced to flee again, and are living in fear from the bombs all day and night. Just yesterday, Nader told me that he and his brother narrowly escaped death from bombs that were dropped on them. The reality in Gaza is that this can happen at any time. They are living with fear and trauma most of us can never understand.

Nader is fundraising for his family of eight to survive the war and hopefully evacuate. The cost of food and necessities is extremely high, and the destruction of the healthcare system means medical care is difficult to access. Nader’s father has suffered from cancer since before the genocide started, and if he doesn’t get the treatment he needs his illness will continue to get worse. They also have a little girl with them, Nader’s niece Iman, who is only one year old and has lived with war her whole life. Please give them a chance and donate to help save their lives 🇵🇸❤️

Please enjoy this delightfully ridiculous mating display from a Snowy Egret in peak breeding plumage. That signature gurgling call you can hear at the start of the video is one of my favorite noises in the animal kingdom! This is maybe the best time of year to go birding where I live as the swamps and wetlands are simply electric with activity and life. Everywhere you turn your head there is something remarkable to behold.
