Peter tried to, or rather his excellent literary agent, sell this the conventional way but no one would bite

We worked too hard not to put it on a shelf unread so we went with the Crazy 8 Press, who has a bunch of cool authors and books.

What did you guys think about Sunrise on the Reaping?

I had been waiting for forever for a book about Haymitch’s games and I’m extremely sorry to say that I was a bit disappointed. The material wasn’t anything new and I feel the political commentary could have been more effective if used in another story or manner.

I did really enjoy getting to see Haymitch’s perspective however and getting to see how he changed from the person he was in this book to the person he was in the original trilogy. The epilogue was also perfect.

I’d love to hear what everyone else thinks. I know I’m not in the majority as someone who doesn’t think the book was five stars or a masterpiece but I’d love to hear all opinions or reviews.

CLUE #1

If this is your first time seeing my post; I'm writing a novel which will be released soon. I refuse to tell you the plot, the characters, the tropes, nor the premise. I only ask for your follow + I write my followers names down in a little pretty notebook. I will drop little clues and quotes and paragraphs. Ominous little hints. And the first follower to guess the plot receives a free signed copy of the novel once it's published.

the emancipation of a lie

I had never known a killer. Never looked one in the eye. Never heard of one. Because such things did not exist. Not until the morning of last, at 6:33am. The exact time our Leader died. No, I think died is perhaps the wrong word for the manner in which his death came about. Silently slaughtered. That about covers it.  And the man responsible sits before me now. A killer watches me. But this time it is I who hold someone’s life in my hands - his. My judgement will determine his fate. The world knows he did it. What they do not know, is why. The why is my job, my question, my investigation. A why is dangerous. A why is unpredictable. A why is everything. Motive can be a very potent thing.  And it is up to me to see between the lies.

and so the gods of writing have struck again, here's the opening for another novel i'm starting - totally out of my comfort zone, it's going to be dystopia, psychological and told in a dracula-esque style which im very excited about

Here, it was clear even to the untrained eye, was an Omega in the throes of full heat, writhing and desperate, his wrists tied to the bedposts by strips of linen. He was panting deeply, cursing, entreating as he tried to twist his hands free, his body rising and falling in an erotic wave as he thrashed uselessly against the damp sheets.

“Elliot,” Evelyn whispered, almost sobbing. “Elliot. Help me. Help me, please.”

Stuart let out a breath, his control snapping at last as he surged toward the bed.
