my love to the people who didn’t get up today
who didn’t face their fears today
who didn’t do the coping mechanisms
my love to the people who had breakdowns today.
my pride in the people who aren’t proud of themselves.
my love to the people who feel unworthy of love.
my love to the people who didn’t ride the wave but rather were swallowed by it, for they are still treading water even though they can’t see the shore.
you didn’t bring it on yourself. it’s just heavy. and it is not your fault. 🌹🌹

You know what's stupid? Looking up any variation of "npd day" or "narcissistic personality disorder day" only comes up with "narcissistic abuse awareness day" which is absolutely ridiculous. And doing "-abuse" to remove those from the search ALSO comes up with nothing.
How hard is it to not speak ill of those with a disorder that you've literally taken up the entire front page of google with how much you hate us? Just use the phrase "emotional abuse", it's really not that hard. Some of you claim that you "don't mean the disorder, [we] mean the *word* narcissist! It's not about the disorder!", but even if that IS true, it still makes shit like this happen. You're not better just because you twist your words.

as an ND able-bodied person, i just wanna say that cpunks are NOT doing anything wrong by not allowing us in their community. its completely okay and im actually very very happy that physically disabled people finally have their own space where they dont have to deal with ableism toward them all the time
able-bodied NDs have it made in this sense. we have TWO communities! we have neuropunk and madpunk, and you can go on any social media platform and easily find hundreds of other NDs on there along with little communities and shit. but physically disabled people dont have it that easy. when they DO find one that isnt just about ND people, it's still full of ableism. i've seen it myself and it makes me sick
so physically disabled people decided to make their OWN community. just for them. no one else. then THATS when able-bodied NDs start getting pissy and call them ableist when they were basically doing the exact same shit before.
you can handle not being allowed in one community. theres two more you can be part of just fine
if youre an able-bodied ND who sees yourself in any of this, maybe you should stop and look at yourself. make some improvements
to the cpunk community, dont let people like this tear you down. stand your ground, push these people out. you deserve your OWN safe space and no one will take that from you

i dont think i really get the whole x-punk thing. like for some, yes, its a form of self expression... but also just... use the word punk?
i get a new tag sort of but everyones arguing on whats REALLY punk, and i think many punks wouldn't waste their time arguing about whos excluded from the punk label and would instead, you know, fight for what they think is right in ways that would change things? just going "ew endos bad and fake and not REAL systems" doesnt change the fact that even disordered DID/OSDD systems still need acceptance and to be understood and helped and not be treated as some super rare basically impossible thing that .0001 percent of the population has. maybe correcting people from using "multiple personality disorder" or starting a DID/OSDD support group in your community might be a start.
but all these anti endos just want to have the label systempunk to sound cool while still being exclusive and spending their time arguing against "the endos" because they're "making doctors not listen to us" when newsflash, the doctors are already ableists, and you need to help educate them instead of yelling at other victims. but okay
i swear some of the x-punk things just sound like it's cool and exclusive for only certain punks and all they care about is appearance. looking like a punk and poorly playing the part i guess.
I agree with most of this, but I actually really love the idea behind the x-punk labels.
As I understand, this started with cripplepunk, which is centered around applying punk values to disability pride, rejecting ableist societal ideals that expect people with disabilities to behave one way to be deserving of support, while celebrating individuality and pride in who you are.
Terms like madpunk and neuropunk sprung out of that for neurodiverges.
I know there's debate over whether cripplepunk should be exclusive to people with physical disabilities or if it should be an umbrella for all disabilities, and that sort of gatekeeping can breed toxicity between communities that are both victims of ableism and should be seeking solidarity.
But whatever your stance on that debate is, I do feel these labels are important for people in these groups looking to take pride in who they are and reject both systemic ableism and internalized ableism. Because cripplepunk and its offshoots are more than the sum of their parts. It's more than just punk and it's more than just disability pride.
The problem with Systempunk
With systempunk, anti-endos took a look at an already punk community, Pluralpunk, and decided to make something that was less punk.
Their view of systemhood is based purely on what they perceive as the medical model of systemhood, or what their friends say that is. Anything that doesn't conform to that is bad.
And their values aren't based on fighting against an ablesist society or psychiatry or anything of the sort. No, because to them, the real problem is this other group of plurals and so-called "fakers".
And their problem with pluralpunk was that it was too individualistic.
It celebrated people who were too different and too weird.
It was fundamentally too punk for them.
So anyway, yeah. I like a lot of other types of x-punk labels. I don’t like ones that try to strip away the punk from them though, and are only interested in using punk as an aesthetic.

Sorry to my followers for seeing me this frustrated, I'm just so angry.
Us cripples should be sticking together, instead some of us are white-knighting for the few neuropunks who so desperately want to use the slur for themselves.
Because that's all they want. They don't care about our experiences or accessibility, they just want to have a slur to reclaim, even if it's not theirs to begin with.
Some words are not for you to use, dipshits.
And the TERF comparison is both ridiculous and hurtful, because many of us are trans.
Wanting a safe space for people who share your experiences isn't exclusionism, it's having a community where each of us can relate.
Trans women are women, trans men are men, so they belong in those respective spaces because their experiences are similar.
An able-bodied autistic/adhd person is not gonna be having trouble accessing a building not suitable for people using wheelchairs.
Also, sweetie, you can stop white-knighting for the "uwu i want to call myself cripple, it's so quirky haha maybe I'm transabled lol" neuropunks, they're not gonna be your allies when push comes to shove. <3

Pinned Post WIP
- Please use tone tags when talking to me or in my tags
- Physically and Mentally Disabled/ill. When I make a distinction, I know what I am talking about.
- Mental illness that impacts what you're able to handle doing physically is valid, I literally live with both sets of symptoms, but it's a different issue than physical disability. People yelling at me for not including depression symptoms on a post about physical disability will get blocked. Make your own post if you feel like including yourself + Learn to read context, all ailments are valid, but that doesn't make them the same.
- Not lumping All Disabled People together ≠ exclusionism, get it together and stop yelling at strangers online, we live lives outside our computer and like I said, mental health is valid so don't go around fucking up people's day. Cpunk is for anyone who experiences a physical disability, if you aren't A Cripple (that's what the C stands for): you do not face the specific challenges we need this space/community for, and you don't get to make our posts about your own struggles. make your own posts. end of. (Try neuropunk or madpunk, or maybe even menhera!! I'm in those spaces too and we could use the recognition!)

I wouldn't use retard if I were you. Can't speak for cripple, but maybe not r-slur. When used against you, they are not calling you weird or something. When used against you, they are comparing you to me. They saying you look act like me. Like other IDD people. They using us as an insult. It's very very bad loaded insulting word. It used to be a diagnosis for IDD, not for autism or something. Come listen to us. See what majority opinion is before using different words.
Hey Anon!
@wheelie-sick told me at my original post about neuropunk and I like that label and feel like it fits me well cause I'm an autistic activist and alt. I'm not gonna use the r-word, because I know better now. I also have the orthostatic hypotension kind of dysautonomia but I can't decide if it's limiting my mobility enough to even get a foldable cane, so I don't know about c-punk, I'm still figuring it out.

i think there's a difference between like "mad pride" or "neuropunk" or whatever and like stuff that i would say is moreso uncomfortable glorification of psychiatric diagnoses (like making pride flags for personality disorders or stuff along those lines). it isn't uncomfortable because they're sacred things or something but because psychiatry sux. there's nothing wrong with being proud of being autistic or adhd or a crazy bitch but there's a line between that and lending far too much legitimacy to the way that psychiatry as an oppressive social institution taxonomizes the human experience (which is often flawed and results in violence.) idk i guess i feel this way maybe more specifically about personality disorders because they're such an especially uncomfortable diagnostic category.

Neuropunk Autism Speaks For Itself Crass Band shirt
Tumblr media
Maybe the Neuropunk Autism Speaks For Itself Crass Band shirt . I will do this operator is looking to video people doing things they want to keep private? What’s next… people using drones to drop IEDs on the neighbors they are angry at? I can’t wait for that news story. You can also use ‘blown away’ to mean absolutely astonished, so there is a small chance the first sentence could mean “everyone watching the astonishing thing was at a loss for words from their position atop the bridge connecting the cities” in context, though it would be an unusual phrasing. Pelosi, instead of remaining quiet, made a faux show of extending her hand to Trump’s back, mimed discord while he was speaking, and pre-ripped his speech so she could do a Three Stooges routine as he ended. And the folks in white suits refused to stand for even a second, making one think that others in white suits would soon come to take them away.Neuropunk Autism Speaks For Itself Crass Band shirt, hoodie, sweater, longsleeve and ladies t-shirt Classic Women's

My husband only got to be proud for 3 yrs before he passed away and my baby boy and I were together. Pumkin and I were great together tho of course bad stuff happened also. Pumkin had a heart murmur of a 6 so he kept me going but we were great. He was my shadow my heart my soul my world my everything. He would stay out side doors and wait for mommy to come back out. We loved going to home Depot and him riding in I will do this cart. We loved our time together and I miss my baby boy so very much now that all I do is cry so much for him every day and night since we made a terrible mistake and he is gone from my life I miss my kisses so very much.
