Everyone always talks about the lack of BLACK superheroes but no one ever talks about the lack of black FEMALE superheroes

And we do have some

but their always side stories never part of the bigger picture or the ones saving the day like storm or some shit and usually they’re always the main characters girlfriend or stand in till they figure out their feeling for the true (usually white) female

Or like Logan and Storm from X men the disposable black girlfriend kills me every time since it’s ALWYAS a interracial couple (not that there is anything wrong) but it’s just frustrating even in reverse!!

With miles and Gwen bitches were upset at Margo for “getting in the way” of their ship!! Or With arcane jayvik and Mel I DONT watch arcane but I didn’t even know Mel was a love Interest!!! I just wish we had our own stories or something like with Naomi Mcduffie and even that was Short lived!!

Im tired of us being a token character why are we the disposable black character?? Or the black best friend!! Usually sassy and in need to help out the non-black main character where we fix the mc’s life at a low point or the comedic relief with answers and the laughs or were usually the nerdy smart ones (but thats usually In boys black girls aren’t usually seen as nerdy and awkward but thats a whole nother topic) saw this video by queentiwa titled “why can’t black girls be weird, shy, or nerdy” and was taken aback by how much I related to it

I was and AM that girl I like nerdy shit but DONT talk about it I was labeled an “Oreo” and “white washed” for simply liking things that my black peers didn’t like I like watching anime I love “different” music

I am shy and introverted

I hate social interaction it makes my skin crawl but being that labels me as rude or stuck up

I don’t have an attitude no I am not stuck up!! I am just a person

Thinking about this will always make me mourn the loss of Harper the OG black girl in the pilot of the teen wolf show it makes me think of what we could have gotten how she could have fit into stiles and Scott’s friendship as a possible trio

AND I WANT TO SEE BLACK WOMEN IN ROMCOMS!! I want to see us falling in love in movies like “10 things I hate about you” “never been kissed” or just silly girlhood stories like “Mean Girls”

I want stuff like that!!

No I don’t want to be Asian because I watch anime and like kpop

just because I listen to pop music and alt music doesn’t mean i have this secret desire to want to be white

I just want to express myself and talk about my intrests without being seen as weird I love being quirky shy and nerdy and black

NERDY BOYFRIEND

you love your nerdy boyfriend. no matter what his hyper-fixations or fandoms may be, you love the way he lights up when it’s brought into conversation. he’s just so in his element when he dishes out lore or his own head-canons. god, he’s just so cute when he gets hyped up about a comic issue, video game, or a new episode. your bond gets stronger when he introduces you to what he’s into. he’s a little nervous at first, but then it turns out you like it just as much as him. even if you don’t particularly like it, you still support him because that’s your baby. he treats you well. it’s easy to spoil him with merch. he kisses the ground you walk on when you text him a picture of some and you tell him that you thought of him when you saw it. he thinks you hung the moon when you bring up a reference. he’s talked to you about million different things before in the past and you actually remembered a reference that some would find obscure. he loves you so much because you just get him. you don’t see him as childish or lame, you see him as a person who loves and loves hard. he may have a few female crushes within certain universes, but you’re always going to be his ultimate. he may be a nerd, but that’s your nerd.

You didn't think we were gonna escape the Brainrot without fanart of one of my fave scenes did you?

I changed the Lords in Black just a teeny bit to match my head cannon that all the lords in black appeared as dead characters that the central 3 feel a lot of feels about (my apologies to Curt Mega specifically, because I just... Tinky should look like Ted, Right? He should. He just really should.)

You'll also notice that Blinky looks a tad more like Ruth (see headgear) and Wiggly looks like Richie. Pokey was pretty easy because he's obviously in the guise of Solomon Lauter.

Nibbly was the hardest by far, but I went with Girl Jeri, because in my head cannon, Abstinence Camp happened in some way in this timeline, which is how Grace already knew how to dispose of a body :X

Miscellaneous Hatchetfield headcanons (mostly family related)

- Richie's deepest darkest secret is that for a few years when he was little, he and his mom lived in Clivesdale.

- Richie and Trevor are twins separated from birth parent trap style. Trevor was raised in Philadelphia before his dad moved backed to Hatchetfield, thinking his wife and Richie were still in Clivesdale. The two brothers have not interacted ever despite their proximity with each other.

- Gary Goldstein is actually a clone of Paul, the first one ever made long before they started to make the others for the moon colonies. He escaped and changed his identity, went to law school in another state, and came back to be a sleazy attorney for very rich clients. Said rich clients include Linda Monroe, who he had an affair with and became the biological father of Jordan. He's a deadbeat but he does treat him nicer than Linda's other sons when they happen to be in the same room with each other.

- Gary also does not like musicals but he doesn't make a big deal about it. His go-to coffee order is a large caramel frappe.

- Nora and Jane were actually really good friends, with Jane actually helping Nora to open Beanie's. Nora only gave Emma the job because she felt pity about Emma losing her sister.

- Sylvia is Karen's estranged older sister who cut off her ties with their family after being fed up with their obsession with purity and conservatism. At 18, She moved in with her then boyfriend at the time (they've broken off since then). Grace still prays for her sinner aunt to change her ways.

- Girl Jeri and Boy Jerry went to Sycamore High along with Mark and Karen. They did Bible study sessions together.

- Pete's parents have always had a rocky relationship and by the time Pete is 18 they're finally in the middle of being officially divorced. Pete would sometimes stay at Ted's shitty apartment when things got really messy.

- a lot of the teens think Pete is the owner of Pizza Pete's which adds to why they think he's rich. Max in particular makes fun of him for this a lot despite Pete trying to tell him on numerous occasions that he doesn't own the place.

- Pete and Alice were childhood friends but drifted away by the time they were in high school. They bonded over their shared love of sweets and dysfunctional living situations.

- Ruth had a HUGE crush on Alice, and both were a part of the tech crew in their school theater group. When she found out Alice was dating local stoner and rebellious cool girl Deb she wailed in the bathroom for a solid hour.
