It doesn't matter if that were the case, because Misty perceived her that way. Her pain and self-loathing are real, because she kills everything and everyone that she loves. She's a tragic figure.

It's amusing that people couldn't see that (adult) Natalie wasn't normal about Misty either. Compare Natalie's behavior to the way the other Yellowjackets treat(ed) Misty; how much Natalie tolerated her. Did people forget who was the first to stalk the other and find herself in the other's home with a gun? That Natalie knew Misty was manipulating her and went along with it anyway? That when she had the chance to be free of Misty, she manipulated Misty back/asked for her help and the others were like, "Really? Misty, Natalie?" That she kept her promise and went to the reunion with her? That she sounded weirdly fond instead of mad when she said, "Ask Misty, she watched me have sex with him" and the others were like, "Um?" My point is, pulsingvoid was correct about this: had Natalie been alive, the bartender wouldn't have had to call Walter, because Natalie would have picked up the phone and pretended to be annoyed about it.

There's no way teen Misty/Nat's story stops at 2.08 (Misty saving Natalie's life). There's more there. It's a shame that Natalie had to die for us to get some meaningful interactions between them (and some friction), but hey, recontextualization.
