Sheets ruffling. Bed moving. Annoyed groans.
The gentle rustling noises behind him woke Spencer. He was startled out of his half-slumber by the little shuffle of movement and the rustle of blankets. With a sleepy blink, he rolled over and watched you squirming around to find a comfortable position. You shifted the pillows with a groan and fidgeted under the blankets, clearly frustrated.
"Hey, why are you still awake?" Spencer murmured, his voice thick with sleep as he propped himself up on one elbow. His body was now fully facing yours, eyes tracing the silhouette of your restless form in the dim light.
You mumbled, "I can't sleep," in a frustrated tone. "God, this is so annoying!" You pushed a cushion beneath your legs in an attempt to relieve some of the pain after yanking another pillow from the head of the bed but still no avail.
Spencer didn’t immediately respond. He just watched you, his gaze lingering on the frustration playing across your features. A soft scoff slipped from his lips, barely audible.
You let out a low groan as you shifted once more, desperate for some relief. The bed felt too warm, too cold, the sheets too tight, or too loose—nothing felt right. "Fuck this," you muttered, the words a bitter release, your head sinking into the pillow in exasperation.
After a few minutes of your boyfriend watching you suffer, he spoke up. "I have an idea. Statistics shows that you can sleep immediately after you exercise."
"Exercise?" your head rise a bit, looking at him questionably with the smirk that's planted in his face. "What exercise are you exactly talking about?"
Spencer smirked, perhaps enjoying the moment, but he didn't respond. He suddenly grasped your face with his palm, his thumb gliding over your cheek, his lips pressing softly but passionately against yours. Before you could fully comprehend what was happening, a breathless "oh" escaped your lips as a wave of warmth swept through you. You immediately put your arms around his neck and drew him in, kissing him more deeply as you both got caught up in the intimacy and the outside world faded.
"Mhm—" you let out a moan as his tongue worked with yours. Your fingers made its way to his hair, curling it in pleasure and then to his topless back.
The kiss was full of love, closeness, and lust. Spencer's lips pressed against yours, a mix of urgency and tenderness that sent shivers down your spine. As he deepened the kiss, his fingers began their slow, deliberate journey from your neck, trailing down to your stomach, exploring the soft curves of your body.
"May I?" Spencer asked softly as his hand rested on your shirt. You nodded in response and Spencer didn't hesitate to remove your t-shirt, leaving your bare chest exposed. He smiled at the sight before kissing you again.
"Spence.." you whispered. "Mhm—"
"Yes, baby?" he said in between kisses but you just moaned in response. "I need you to use your words, baby."
Your eyes pleaded, thighs shaking. "Need you, please.." you cried.
Spencer chuckled, bringing his fingers down to your white-laced panties before removing them slowly. His index finger rolled down to your sensitive clit, drawing figure of eights.
"Spencer— aah," you moaned, holding his upper arm tightly as you felt pleasure slowly waving towards you.
"So wet.. and sensitive, my love," he cooed.
As he slowly inserted a finger inside of you, you let out a gasp that echoed the shock and joy that filled your body. As the world around you seemed to melt away, your head sank back, giving in to the waves of pleasure that swept over you. Even though it was only a finger, it lit a fire inside of you. You spread your legs wider as he added another digit, pumping it in and out in a slow but steady pace. He held you tightly, your head resting on his other arm as he finger fucked you.
After a few more, Spencer's pace speeded up, hitting that spongy spot that made your back arch. "Aah— Spence—Fuck! Yes, yes, yes—" you chanted his name like a damn saint as you started to see stars when you closed your eyes.
"You like that, yeah?"
"Yes, Spen— aah!"
As he pumped in deeper, his lips catched yours. You kissed him back with full force while moaning in between kisses. The pleasure was overflowing.. and so was you.
Your core ached and clenched on Spencer's slenders. A familiar feeling coiled up your lower stomach, causing you to fully shot your eyes down and moan like crazy. Your legs shaked as his pace was getting harsher.
"I'm close," you ached.
"It's alright, baby," Spencer smiled as he purposely hit his palm on your clit. "I'm here, mhm? Cum on my fingers. Can you do that for me?"
After a few more, you came. His fingers were stained with your juices. You panted like a crazy madman as your legs collapsed.
Spencer pulled his fingers out and focused his eyes on you. Smiling, he kissed you again but this time, passionately.
"Remind me how that can make me fall asleep quickly?" you asked with a tired but satisfied sigh.
"Your body releases hormones like dopamine and oxytocin. They're responsible for making you feel less stressed, more comfortable, and can actually help you sleep. There's a saying, "It's the only sleeping pill with no side effects."
Spencer pulled the comforter up and tucked you in, smiling. "Thanks, Spence," you whispered as you kissed him on his cheek.
"Anytime, princess," he replied before the two of you dozed off, hugging each other tightly.
The next few days, you started to use this excuse on Spencer to get that pleasure that you want.

Hi cherry!!! I just saw that you finished jjk s2, so I was wondering if you might write something for nanami? Ik you haven't written for him before but I would love a smut scene please 🤭
Imagine stamina training with Kento!! (gn!reader)
Warnings: 18+, NSFW, Makeshift Leash, Penetrative Sex, Indirect Mentions of Choking, Orgasm Delay, Overstimulation
Your whole body feels on fire.
The back of your thighs burn and your arms tremble when you try to lift your upper body. Your hole is sore and aching from Kento's rough thrusts, your sensitive bits twitchy and throbbing from his mean pinches and rubbing. Your nipples are permanently hard from the friction of the bed sheets as your body jolts higher up the bed. A constant pressure rests again your throat as the cheetah print fabric circles your neck, sporadically yanked as it wraps around Kento's large fist.
You have no choice but to follow the rough tugs, your head thrown back as he preforms another 'breathing exercise'. You let out a strangled moan as Kento counts each second close to your ear, your mind becoming hazy from the lack of oxygen and the painful spikes of pleasure from his cock feeding into you. He release you with a groan, letting your head fall back to the sheets as he loosens his grip around the tie.
"Good. Take a break."
You pant heavily, body shaking with each of your inhales. Your body trembles under him, disgusting trails of sweat running down your body as you try to endure his training. You let out a weak sound as you feel the bubbling of release in your stomach, and Kento tsks behind you.
"Hold it," He demands, cruelly snaking his fingers to the front of your body to tease the sensitive place between your thighs.
You cry out a protest, quickly cut off as he tugs on the leash again. You can feel tears streaming down your face, blurring your vision. Kento's body press down into yours, and you whimper weakly as you try to withstand his weight.
"You will listen to what I say and hold it." He hisses into your ear, teeth gritting as you pulse around him.
You nod as best as you can with the tie pressing into your throat, hands balling into the sheets in an attempt to ground yourself. Your body is on the verge of giving out completely, your bones are starting to feel like TV static. You aren't sure how much longer you can hold out, and Kento can tell by your mix-matched breathing. Still, he lets you sit in your misery for a few more minutes before giving you mercy.
"Come."
You do instantly, letting out a loud cry as your body collapses. Your body spasms as you release, your body growing hot as Kento reaches his own peak inside of you. You sob horribly into the bed, overstimulation working itself into your muscles as your body prepares to shut down. Sleep is at the forefront of your mind as Kento massages your back and aching thighs, heavy sighs of relief melting from your lips.
It's short lived when you're tugged back again, choking on your next breath in surprise. The pressure is worse with the limited amount of energy you can spare to hold yourself up, your body trying to fight its way back down despite Kento holding you up.
"Good, again."

Tumblr media
Arriving at the hospital you only left Vivianne’s side when she was in the MRI, waiting outside you shake your leg as you rub your palm together, sighting every now and then when you hear a door open but no Viv coming out of the room. It wasn’t your first time waiting for the Dutch outside of an examination room, back in Germany when you both played for Bayern Munich. You were more than willing to accompany her.
Thinking back to that time were you both were just twenty years old, your international career just taking off. You two were newbies in the team, didn’t have any connections, this being the link you clicked in an instant. Spending time after training sessions, doing exercises together, talking about everything that comes into your minds. You two meant to become best friends. Since you extended your contract another year, Viv made the step into the WSL signing with Arsenal. Watching her play in the English league made your heart full of pride and warmth indifferent if it was seeing her in the stadium or on the screen when watching the match. A message always finds its way to her after her game.
The snipping fingers in front of your eyes bring you out of your daydreaming but her voice still in the distant. “We’re getting back to the room, you’re coming?”
"Of course, adorable.” She scrunches her noise and squeezes her eyes shut, offering her hand for you to intertwine your finger.
Vivianne drags herself into her bed with your help moving to the edge and pats the spot next to her. A shy smile creeps onto your lips, and you rest next to her in the bed. Without hesitation, she places her head on your chest, her hands finding the hem of your shirt and starts to fidget it. Her healthy leg draped upon yours, and your arm slung around her shoulder, caressing her left upper arm. Her hand finding yours and holding it. “You got any pain in the moment?” Your voice breaks the comfortable silence.
"No,” her voice is small, “all good in the moment,” Viv adds.
"That’s good.” Meaning the IV works just fine.
She shuffles slightly getting more suited, her head never leaving its place. “You know I always looked up to you,” she slurs out.
"What do you mean?”
"Well, you’re talented and intelligent in the play. I did learn so much from our time together."
"Viv...”
"No, no, shut up,” she lays her head to rest on your shoulder. “You could read the opponents tactic on and off the pitch without the meeting and hours of analysing. How you always can picture which moves you can play and where they would pass. Your positivity helped me through a lot not only at Bayern but Arsenal. How you hyped me and I feel appreciated by you and seen and heard and loved."
Tears prickle in your eyes, “Vivianne.” You never call her that.
"I feel safe with you, home,” her eyes now burning on your skin. “Look at me,” she whispers, and your eyes wander from your tangled hands to meet her crystal blue ones.
"Please don’t,” you stutter a single tear streams down your cheek when her finger touches your skin as she dries it you feel the warmth flood your body leaving shiver on your spine.
"Y/N,” her voice like honey, hearing her say your name brings a smile to your lips and makes your heart fluster like years ago the fact that she makes you still blush, even if you’re not allowed the Dutch player has Beth. Eyes closed, you feel her inch closer.
"It’s the medicine speaking you’re blustered,” trying to convince yourself. “What about Beth?”
Her movement stops. “she’s a good friend.” She strokes a strand of hair behind your ear. Her mouth close to your ear, “there was always this girl,” connecting her lips with the skin of your neck. Another round of shivers ran through your body.
"Let's talk about it later you’re exhausted from the day. I’m leaving so you can get sleep.” You get up, and Vivianne sits straight on the bed. Her mouth fell open eyes wide as they were covered by tears.
"No. I can’t. I just,” she gulps, “I’m saying I have feelings for you and you want to leave?” tears finding their way out of her eyes.
"Sweetheart,” taking her face in your hands, you brush the tears away and leave a kiss on her forehead. “I’m not ignoring it nor doubting, but Anna, you had a heartbreaking day, resulting in an acl. You’re drained. You need rest. We talk about it tomorrow, okay?” Nodding as an answer, you push another kiss on her forehead, resting yours against hers afterward.
"Can you please stay?” Blue eyes shifting towards yours, a pout suits her face.
"Sure thing love,” Kissing the bridge of her nose, she scrunches it.
"Stop that it tickles.” Her words only make you continue the gesture. Her giggles fill the room, and your heart fills with love. “I hate you,” she brings out between giggles, heavy breathes shaking her body.
"Oh no, you don’t,” you wink at her. Vivianne closes up, your lips just centimetres apart, and your breaths mix up. Taking the chance, you place your lips on hers and close your eyes, moving in sync as you can taste her for the first time in all the years you longed for it. You had one hand on the bed as you leaned down to her, the other resting on her cheek.
"Wow,” she mutters against your lips a smile plastered on her lips.
"Now get some rest, my love.”
"Please stay here in my bed."
"It's way too small for the two of us.” Her eyes fall on her hands, her bottom lips trembling, and when your sights meet again, her eyes are flooded with tears. “Okay, okay, move,” you shove her, careful settling down next to her. Her head found its place back on your chest as you caressed through her hair. “Good night, sweetheart,” kissing her occipital.
"What are we?”
"We’ll talk about this tomorrow but everything you want.”
Through the night the injured woman moved from your body, and you sling your arm around her figure cuddling her tight. In the morning you tip toe out of the room and search for a bakery in the near neighbourhood. Placing the food on the trait in front of the bed, the scent of fresh croissants filling the air, you slip back into the bed and Viv’s head directly finds its designed place on your chest. “I thought you left,” her raspy voice hits your ear, her accent thick.
Stroking her back, you answered, “I would never.” Viv turns her body and her eyes now glued on your face, the corner of her lips curling up. “Good morning, beautiful.” Heat creeps into Viv’s cheeks, and she puts her hands over her face. “Hey why you’re hiding this gorgeous face? You can't stand the nicknames anymore?” reaching for her hands, you put them in yours and kiss her knuckles. “Oh, there it iiisss.” You peck her forehead then her cheeks, and at last, the bridge of her nose, giggles escape her mouth, and she tries to free her hand.
"It tickles,” she shoves your tangled hands against your chest, and you couldn’t reach her face anymore. “What did you get?”
"Have a look. I bet you’re starving.”
"Oooh, croissants a dream, thank you,” she pushes herself higher so you’re on eye level, and she gives your lips a shy kiss.
"You’re welcome,” you reveal two tiny bottles of Nutella out of your pocket. Her eyes lit up, and she reaches for one. “Stole them from the tablets for breakfast.” She rolls her eyes but still gives you a smile from ear to ear.
“We talk about it when you finished eating.” Sitting down next to the bed, Vivianne moves in her bed for another position, wincing when sharp pain shots through her body. “I get the nurse for medicine,” you leave her and shortly after arriving with the mentioned person.
"All right Ms. Miedema, it should set in a few minutes, if somethings bothering press the button,” the Dutch woman nods and the nurse leaves the room again.
"This all is so sweet of you.”
"Vivianne,” a raised eyebrow and your lips drag into a thin line, “eat in piece.”
"I am in peace,” she radiates brighter than the sun offering you her hand for you to intertwine your fingers.
She gulps, “I’m finished can we now talk?” giving you her best puppy eyes you let out a chuckle.
You straighten your back and clear you throat the football player releases a chuckle, “didn’t knew it was that serious.”
"Of course, ma’am this is dead ass serious.”
"Why so.”
"Well, I mean, it includes both of our hearts and life’s and wishes and dreams."
"You're so prescient. It’s kinda hot.”
"Ms. Miedema, I please.”
"I want you to be my girlfriend,” it explodes out of her. “I mean only if you want to,” she adds with a shaky voice.
"I'd love to but we didn’t even went on a single date.” Viv’s faces drops. “We make a deal, okay? You get your surgery I’ll visit you whenever I can and if you’re able we go outside every now and then and see where it gets us.”
"Sounds really nice,” Viv’s dimples become visible as her mouth turns up. “Now come here, please,” she opens her arms, and you cradle into them.

Gortash Week Day 4 - Relax/Work
He needs to work. There is more that needs to be done and not enough hours in the day with which to do it. His agents have brought in reports on the latest movements within the undercity, there are design notes to be compiled on the latest version of the Steel Watch, some minor Dreadmaster has been flouting his reporting requirements and must have his punishment for it, his current “paramour” has written some dreadfully soppy letter that requires a response in kind, and the claw rings he has made for Vesper require more polishing. But he is tired. He is so, so tired. It has been… days, perhaps, since he last slept. But there is more to be done, always more, new schemes and ideas to set in motion and returning plans to be leveraged into yet more ploys. It is perpetual motion and he must keep up. Even the stimulants have started to do nothing more than increase his heartrate without touching his exhaustion.
He resents the limitations of his flesh.
But he does acknowledge them. He used to ignore them, back in his younger and more impetuous days, but experience has been a keen teacher. This body will have its due, whether he wishes it or not. He can only choose how that due will find him. A decade ago he would have kept at it until the last moment, sought to squeeze every last second of work from the damned thing until he collapsed at his desk. A decade ago he might have been able to survive that. These days, for all it galls him, he must pay heed to the changes the passage of time has worked upon him. Passing out at his desk now means he can expect his neck to stiffen for days, the delicate and important tendons in his hands to tighten near snapping, and the old injury in his leg to ache like hellfire (not exactly, but close enough to bring its sting to mind). He can push through it all if he must, of course. Never let it be said that Lord Enver Gortash does not keep mastery over his own body. But he must admit that it is easier if he does not need to.
So he sets all his work aside. Distributes orders to his lieutenants, triages what can wait and what he must be notified of immediately. And then he sets out for his Upper City manor home. His servants are well trained - a bath already awaits him. The water is hot but not scalding, and he groans as he sinks down into it. The heat slithers into his joints as he soaks, soothing overtaxed muscles and old aches. It is so easy to habituate to the pain. There are always more important things to be done, more important concerns to ponder. It is so easy to section off a piece of his mind, drag his focus onto other things, that he sometimes does not notice the weight of it until it is lifted. There are exercises, he knows, that help limit the worst of it, but they require time and he is a busy man. He manages well enough, besides.
He climbs from the water once it begins to cool. He longs to climb straight into his bed and the blissful embrace of sleep, but he cuts that nonsense off with a sharp thought. Those who do not properly tend to their weapons are like to watch them fail, and his appearance has always been one of his most useful weapons. He sits at the vanity, in front of the neat, long row of pots and bottles. He starts at the left and works right, mechanically applying each cream, serum, and unguent in the proper amount and order. Once that is finished, he runs a comb through his hair, carefully unworking even the smallest knots and tangles, then follows it up with a balm to keep his hair soft, smooth, and shiny. He ensures things, he does not leave them to chance.
Routine completed, he is free at last to retreat to his bedchamber. He examines it for signs of Vesper’s passage and finds none. They have not been here. Or they have, and have disguised their tracks for some reason knowable to them and them alone. That would be their sort of game, a fun little challenge for the both of them. A smile tugs at his lips at the thought of it. Perhaps, when he wakes, he shall look a little closer. Either way, he is sure that no one else is in here for the moment. He is alone.
He crawls into his featherbed, curling beneath silken sheets. His mind races still, even here, presenting him with plots and ploys and projects aplenty. He breaths slowly, in and out, allowing it all to flow over and through him but grasping for nothing. It will all be there on the morrow, he reminds himself. And at last the currents of sleep begin to lap upon the shores of his mind and, bit by bit, he allows them to bear him into the depths of slumber.

Putting this in a pinned post to make it easy to find/share. We all know how Tumblr is about things (and to be fair, I'm terrible and inconsistent as hell with tags).
Link to the "shoulder release" document:
Notes about this guide:
This is a WIP, and still very much in the rough draft phase. Please forgive typos/errors. I literally haven't done a single edit yet.
The document focuses on releasing shoulders as a way to treat neck tension and migraines. Seriously, just trust me. It helps.
Carpal tunnel? Tennis elbow? Golfer's elbow? AC (acromioclavicular) joint injury? Rotator cuff problems? Tight upper back? Sporadic numbness in your arm? Seriously, just try the muscles already listed. You'll likely find at least some relief. Like, if it involves the upper body, release your shoulders.
I've done my best to make this able to be understood by people without massage training. So if it seems like it's covering really "obvious" info, that's intentional. Just skip the section if you already know things.
A lot of massage therapists may balk at me telling you to dig around in your own armpit. We're taught in school to avoid the area. Why? Because there's a crap ton of nerves and blood vessels there. *Which is precisely why releasing this area is so powerful.* There's also a ton of muscle (on yes, basically everybody) here that will protect all those structures. It's honestly really safe so long as you stick to "In pain, refrain!" And read the other rules too.
90% of the time, the culprit is one of the four muscles listed (or any combination of them). If you are someone who exercises a lot/does yoga/is otherwise pretty physically active, you are more likely to fall into the 10% of people who will have their issue somewhere else/it will just be really hard to find. So bear that in mind.
Sadly, this sort of thing will probably never be a "one and done" type of deal. Most of the things we do every day steadily build up to cause problems, and you have to constantly work to undo that entropy. So save these notes for future you.
And just in case you want to know what the hell qualifies me to make this sort of document, here are my "quals."
My first career attempt was nursing. While this did not go well (doctors don't really appreciate autistic students willing to question their authority) I learned a shit ton about the body. I became a student teacher for the anatomy and physiology class because I was so good at it (and that professor used to teach the pre-med students). A&P is now literally one of my special interests.
8 years as a licensed massage therapist focused exclusively on injury therapy. I studied Rolfing techniques, and primarily used trigger point therapy, structural integration, and myofascial release as my tools. Clients liked to joke that going to see me was like seeing the physical therapist (they weren't wrong).
Some of the stuff I share is literally self taught through "following the tension" in clients bodies. Like, I developed some of my protocols. And then practiced and refined them over 100s of bodies. The goal was always the most efficient and least painful way to achieve lasting release.
I eventually destroyed my shoulder doing massage (which was injured long before this career due to an AC joint sprain gotten when I was 20). Bonus, this means I'm *very* practiced at releasing my own shoulders.
I'm now a mechanical engineer, which just means I now have the engineering knowledge to understand to the force transferrence patterns I saw in clients all the time. Kinesiology is the same thing as statics and dynamics.
Hopefully that helps put perspective into things. I'll update this post as new versions of the document come out. I have a ton on my plate right now (who am I joking; I always have a ton on my plate), so please be patient waiting for updates.

Idk if it's the way I perceive fpk, or if it is intentional, but he looks like he has upper body strength. Is he equally strong everywhere, or does have a specific strength?
He does, I put extra effort into making his arms look more muscular so I'm really glad you noticed! He's generally quite physically strong now, and if you took all his fat away, he would be fairly muscular. The arms are the most noticeable because of how his fat distribution works - he's fatter in his lower body, that is his stomach, legs and the base of his tail.
It also makes sense that his arms and upper torso would be the most defined. Whenever he goes hunting, he does a fair amount of climbing, not to mention the most effective way to chase his meal is to run on all fours, and for that he needs very strong arms. Then there is his workshop, his projects involve dealing with metal objects and stone among other things. He primarily fixes and tinkers with small items like watches, but he also delves into designing and upgrading larger farm equipment and similar mechanical constructions, which are a lot heavier. And because he works alone, he has to carry everything himself, so he gets his daily exercise and builds his muscles.
He certainly enjoys his food, he's without a doubt a foodie (though his childhood trauma also plays a role in how much he eats during hunts), which is a contributing factor to why he's so visibly fat, but it's also connected to the role the extra weight plays in his body. The fat protects him from injuries but it also helps him keep warm and regulate his body temperature, which is crucial for living on the surface in such a cold climate. And unlike Grimm, the kids, Hornet or Holly, he doesn't have fur or an exoskeleton-like shell, which would shield him from cold, so his body had to adapt in its own way.
As a little fun fact, this is something which wouldn't be that unheard of among his kind. I imagine his home land to be a somewhat cold desert with large sand dunes, which periodically experiences winters, including freezing temperatures and snow. So there is a precedent for his body, albeit physically much different in this reduced form, to have this kind of adaptation for cold climates, which wouldn't be visible until now. Before that, he lived underground, and the lack of a proper diet (or any, really) meant that he wasn't able to build any extra fat. Over time, he started losing even more weight, but that's something I already talked about in the past so I'll end this side ramble here.
But to bring this back on topic and to answer your question, he's physically strong all over the body. His tail is flexible, but the base is very muscular under all that fat. This lets him use it almost as a third leg, it acts as counter balance but he can lean on it to support his body if he needs to. His legs are very strong, allowing him to jump quite high up, certainly higher than you'd expect (though the fat tail does drag him down a bit, so he's not as skilled of a jumper as he could be). He can walk, trot and run with no issue, although it does resemble a clumsy waddle, mainly due to how short and stubby his legs are. Already talked about the arms so I won't repeat myself, I'll just add that the nice result of all his physical exercise is that he can lift up and carry Grimm for quite some time, which I think is a very cute (and slightly amusing) mental image. His neck and back are also worth mentioning. The neck is a bit short, but it's decently muscular, which is necessary considering his large head. And his spine, similarly, has the strenght needed to carry all the extra pounds he gained, so he doesn't suffer from back pain (well, unless he spends all day carrying large boxes of heavy materials without taking a break).
So all in all, despite being fat, he's physically healthy and strong. I think it makes sense considering all I said. Plus it's just really fun to think about all of his physical traits working together like this. And it goes to show that relying on soul in his past just couldn't replace all those processes needed to make him as healthy as he is now.

Joint pain tips from someone “too young to have chronic pain”:
[I’m not a doc or a medical professional, take with a grain of salt]
- NSAIDs like ibuprofen/aleve are hard on the stomach and liver. If u take it consistently, consider lidocaine pain patches, tiger balm, or topical NSAIDs. (Still bad for liver with consistent use, but not on the stomach obv)
-foam rollers are real nice for thigh or back/neck pain. If you need it for shoulder stretching, make sure to get one long enough to lay ur whole spine and head on.
-rly good shoe inserts are stupid expensive but getting properly sized for one at a place like REI can rly save you a lot of foot, ankle, and knee pain.
-speaking of shoes plz find ones that have enough room for the tootsies. We’re talking abt bone health here.
-you can use KT or other athletic tape to give minor support, compression for medium, and splints/braces for more serious support. Don’t let braces take over keeping ur body in shape tho.
-in my experience, tube/sock-like braces stay in place the best. I’ve tried the kind that Velcro and they slipped constantly.
-if u overwork a tendon, muscle, or joint, it can take a lot longer for it to heal then when it just stops hurting. Be careful to reintegrate activities slowly after an injury.
-while it kinda makes ya feel silly, walking “like a robot” can help hypermobile/ligament laxity folks to keep proper motion in mind
-upside down criss-cross and w-sitting are horrendous for your knees and make your PTs sad
-if you are doing arm exercises, try not to extend your arms back beyond the line of your shoulder
-to my ND folks: try to rest your arms sometimes, Trex arms are comfy but bad for circulation and joints
-if it feels like your eyes are trying to burst outta ur skull sometimes it means you need to lower inflammation in your sinus.
-for my bra-wearing folks: racer-backed bras hurt the upper traps less and distribute weight better
-drink water my dudes. Ur body hates life w/o it

Chronic Pain Vent Under Cut
I woke up great today. I was in a great mood and full of energy, and drove us to go to the toy convention and had a great time and didn't overexert my body. But then it came, creeping slowly at the end of it, my soles, my ankles, my knees, my hips, my lower, middle, and upper back, my shoulders neck and base of my skull... By the time we sat down for lunch after, my pain was making me space out. But why. Why?! WHY GOD WHY I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO HURT MY FRAGILE BODY I JUST WALKED I WAS GOOD I SWEAR WHY DID IT HURT SO BAD?! I was in so much pain that I wasn't even fully present. My food tasted different. My mind was and is foggy, and now that I'm coming down, I'm so tired. WHY IS MY BODY LIKE THIS, THIS IS A PRISON FOR WHICH I HAVE DONE NO CRIME!!!
I feel so frustrated right now that every discussion of my weight, which contributes to my pain, circles back around to my sedentary lifestyle, and that exercise would help improve my health and symptoms. But I wish, I wish so badly that in those moments I could emphasize what fire I am playing with when I exercise, what level of pain is on the table as potential if not inevitable punishment for daring to tax my shitty body. I fucking love taking strolls through the woods, I love seeing sights and exploring areas I've never been to, I love the world and love to live in it, do people seriously not understand that were it not for the threat of unimaginable pain I would be doing all of that? I can't explain just how much my pain, or the fear of trying my luck, holds me back from experiencing life how I want to. Days like today remind me that even if I do everything right, even if I take it slow, take breaks, keep moving, and don't overexert my body, that it's still not good enough to guarantee my safety. And that just depressed me. I feel like I've been cursed for no reason, this condition makes my life hell and holds me back more than anything else.
And like, I am making progress, I am slowly shedding weight and building more muscle to support myself, but it's fucking mortifying to try any new exercise routine because I risk incapacitating myself for days just because I dared to be active. I really don't understand how the Ehlers stereotype is skinny because I literally cannot be active enough to shed the weight from a normal diet.
(for clarification, I care about losing weight because it makes my body feel sluggish and puts excessive strain on my joints that my muscles have to keep up with; I'm considered morbidly obese, but I have 1Lb of muslce for every 2Lbs fat. I don't like how it makes me look, but only because it reminds me of the inescapable hole I'm in wrt pain management and energy levels, not because of any beauty standards.)
I just want to live my life pain free. I joke about my lack of ever going without pain or stress sometimes, but when I was dozing off on the couch yesterday, that was one of the very, very few moments in my life where I was pain and stress free, and I couldn't even have that peace because my mother kept waking me up. I sincerely wish I could psychically share my pain with everyone who suggests I exercise without providing me a solution that isn't just destroying my GI tract and thinning my blood into water with OTC pain killers all the time. I still take them, obviously, but there has to be a better way than this.

Recuperation

Pairing: Nesta x Cassian (Nessian)
Rating: T (13+)
Tags: One Shot, Sick Character, Fluff, Hurt/Comfort, Established Relationship, Domestic Fluff, Cassian takes care of Nesta
Word Count: 1347
Summary: Nesta has come down with a particularly nasty head cold.
Cassian, of course, decides to nurse her back to health.
Fluffy Nessian oneshot. Post-canon. I just adore these two and was in the mood to write them a little drabble!
Read it on AO3 here!
“Go away,” came a frail, rasping voice from beneath a veritable mountain of fluffy blankets and pillows. “I feel like Death incarnate.”
Cassian reached forward and dared to lift one of the blankets, greeted by a crown of burnished golden-brown hair — kept down today instead of swept up into one of his mate’s usual intricate, elegant updos. The rest of Nesta Archeron’s face was buried so thoroughly beneath the soft fabrics that she was nearly lost entirely to him. Cocooned and comfortable, as she should be, given how thoroughly her recent bout of illness seemed to have beaten her down. Indeed, perhaps it was an indicator of just how drained she truly was feeling that she didn’t swat his hand away or struggle at all to get her blankets back as he gently lifted them away from her face.
He pressed a hand flat against her forehead, and sighed with relief. “It feels like your fever might finally be breaking,” he said. “Is Death incarnate at least an improvement from how you were feeling a few hours ago?”
Nesta groaned, but shifted her head in something that might have been a nod. “I suppose it’s not worse,” she conceded, her voice rough from coughing.
Slowly, Cassian brushed her hair back from her sweat-dampened forehead. He stroked his fingers through the waves falling past the curve of her neck, his movements repetitive, soothing.
“Shit,” he breathed. “You still sound awful. ‘M so sorry, Nes.”
To his surprise, she gave him a breathy, disjointed chuckle.
“I wonder if you’ll still be saying such things when I get my voice back properly, Cassian,” she murmured. “You’ll regret being so sympathetic when I can bark orders at you all hours of the day again.”
“Actually,” he said, ducking down to press a kiss to the top of her head, “that’s the part I’m missing the most right now.”
She nestled herself farther down into her blankets, curling up into a fetal position as if making her body as small as possible would help reduce its pain. Cassian sank down onto the bed beside her, running his hand gently along the curve of her body. Alright, perhaps he was being a little fussy; but he’d be lying if he said that seeing her like this didn’t worry him a bit. His Nesta, so powerful and unstoppable, so determined to strike down her enemies where they stood . . . his stomach twisted at the sight of her so weary. He had to hope she was on the upper end of recovering from this nasty cold, and hoped more than anything his efforts to care for her had done something to make it better.
“What can I do to help?” he murmured, rubbing the curve where her neck met her shoulder in an effort to ease out any tension.
A flicker of a rueful smile touched the edges of Nesta’s mouth.
“You’re being quite the mother hen today,” she said. “I’m surprised you’re not telling me pain is weakness leaving the body or some other such nonsense.”
“Well, this is me speaking as your mate, not your trainer,” he said, smoothing a lock of her hair gently behind her ear. She leaned into the touch, made a soft noise in her throat that let him know she savored the affection. “Anyway, it’s best for you to let your body heal and rest up. Too much exercise right now would just make it worse.”
Nesta shuddered. “It’s difficult to get any rest at all when I just can’t get warm,” she groaned, pulling the blankets tighter around her body. A fitful series of coughs racked their way through her, and she added, “And my body feels so sore.”
“I know, love, I know,” he sighed, leaning down to kiss the top of her head once again. “I can draw you a hot bath, if you want. How does that sound?”
She mumbled something into the pillows that sounded like “the House can do it.”
“Alright,” he conceded, doing his best not to think too much on the House of Wind, and its unusual sentience and . . . friendship with Nesta. He supposed it wasn’t such a bad thing, having a home that cared for you and looked after you. “I should still help you to the bathing room, though. You look like you can barely stand.”
Nesta waved off his worries with an artless flap of her hand. “No, I can walk on my own. I’m not that decrepit yet, you bothersome male,” she said, though there was none of her usual bite behind the words. In fact, an amused affection gleamed in those blue-gray eyes, soft and almost reticent — a secret vulnerability, shared just with him.
She pushed some of the blankets aside, but kept one of the thinner quilts draped around her body like a cloak as she pulled herself up from bed. For a moment, she swayed on her feet, steadying herself with a hand on Cassian’s broad shoulder. His brow furrowed as he watched her in silence. When she met his concerned stare, he saw that a thin sheen of sweat lined her brow, a few wispy stray hairs sticking to her forehead. Determination lit her gaze, and with a lurch in his stomach he wondered if she still felt as if she had something to prove. As if she were fighting any sign of weakness tooth and nail, too scared to reveal herself as capable of being brought down by anything — even a cold.
“Nesta,” he breathed, the expression on his face softening. Not with pity — no, he knew she’d never forgive him if he were to look at her as if she were some fragile thing. Just love, and worry, and the instinct to hold her, support her, however he could. He reached out to stroke the line of her jaw, so proud and strong even in her most exhausted moments. “It’s alright.”
He saw the battle behind her eyes — the resolve in the set of her shoulders, the uncertainty of whether she should continue to force herself to stand tall or allow herself to be held. His warrior, fierce in everything she did. Even now, that look in his eyes reminded him of the painting that now hung in Feyre and Rhys’ river house — Nesta, holding the line, wind and snow whipping around her, at the Pass of Enalius.
Though people who didn’t know her, truly know her as he did, might have tried to say Nesta cared for nothing, Cassian understood the truth of it. The truth she would so rarely let anyone see: that she cared more than she could say, that in all things, she tried so hard. Constantly held herself up to standards she knew were nearly impossible to achieve, then berated herself when she couldn’t meet them.
But it was okay to relax, too — to let yourself feel supported by the people who love you in the times you need it. At that moment, Cassian realized how badly he wanted her to know that. Needed her to know that.
So he said again, “Nesta.” And this time, she didn’t hesitate as she let herself fold into his embrace, her arms wrapping around his waist and coming to rest against his back, with her fingers gently grazing his shoulder blades.
“I hate this,” she muttered against his chest. “I loathe feeling so weak.”
“You’re the strongest person I know, Nes,” he answered, giving her a tight, comforting squeeze. “Nothing could change that. Now, let’s get you that bath.”
And she’d been such a trooper today, been in such pain, that he didn’t argue one bit when she looked him in the eyes and responded with utter seriousness, “Yes. And two slices of chocolate cake. Possibly three.”
Cassian was true to his word. Later, when she’d at last gotten out of the tub (feeling marginally better now that her body and hair were both clean and fresh) they’d sat in bed and devoured not just those three pieces of chocolate cake, but the entire thing.

hate is a strong word but i definitely feel uncomfortable in my body. because of my chest, i feel like it is too big and i feel sexualized just grocery shopping in a baggy shirt. i’ve tried to come to terms with it and accept my body but whenever anyone so much as glances at my breasts i want to peel of my skin. i also experience some back pain but the main reason is discomfort. do you know how i can get a smaller chest? if i go down a couple cups it’ll probably be the highlight of my summer.
(to be specific i’m looking for exercises/diet/lifestyle changes to implant to get smaller boobs)
thank you
Hi love. Having a large chest sounds very inconvenient and painful at times (I'm very flat-chested and don't have first-hand experience with this issue, lol), so I sympathize with you here. I would say to consider the following suggestions:
Look for a well-fitting, comfortable minimizer bra (I've heard that Lively and Bali make great options!)
Consider wearing darker tops with a v-neck, square neck, or off-the-shoulder neckline with a lighter color pair of pants/shorts/skirt to draw attention away from your bust for a more balanced look
Try exercises that strengthen your diaphragm (the area right under your bust), upper back, and core to help alleviate some of the pain. Pushups, wall pushups, leg raises, chest presses, and front/side raises with dumbells are known to be potentially effective for reducing breast size/firming the area. You can also try gentle movement exercises like yoga and pilates in addition to more intense strength/targeted weight training
If you're overweight or eat a lot of junk food, consider cutting out as much processed food/sugary drinks as you can and make progress toward incorporating more WFPB meals into your week/drink plenty of water every day. Getting in 10K steps daily is another great way to relieve stress/incorporate more movement into your day that can help with weight loss (walking's impact on your overall health and physique is so underrated!)
Hope this helps xx

Maybe a snippet for Quinn if you're interested?
"Shit." Quinn cursed under their breath. Of all the times for the pain to immobilize her, this was definitely one of the worst.
A torn-open box of bright orange hair dye sat on the bathroom counter of her trailer, the old, repurposed sour cream container she'd used to mix the dye next to it. Streaks of orange dripped down Quinn's face and the back of her neck, but Quinn couldn't move her shoulder high enough to reach the drips with the towel in her lap without bright, searing jabs into muscle and bone.
She'd tried using the plastic spoon they'd used to mix the dye as some sort of extender, bringing the towel up a little higher, but that only was able to get the ones that dripped down their cheeks and the back of their neck. A plastic spoon, after all, wasn't a very long or dexterous implement.
Quinn tried stretching, exercises she'd learned from physical therapy, trying to loosen up and regain that mobility, but her body didn't seem to want to function.
Another lovely day of living in this body. Delightful.
A streak of orange rolled down her face, reaching their eye. Quinn squinted, leaning her head down. With her neck pressed to her chest, upper back screaming in pain, she was able to wipe the dye from her eye, and some of it from their forehead. But this wasn't exactly sustainable- she was only able to hold the position for a few seconds before her body went on strike again.
"Quinn?" Billy tapped on the door. "You okay?"
"Thank fuck you're here." Quinn sighed. She hated to be a burden and rely on others like this, but she didn't want to go out with her face dyed bright orange like a goddamn Oompa Loompa. "Come in."
Billy sighed, dropping to a low crouch next to Quinn. He took the towel, beginning to wipe off some of the stray dye that had leaked out from under the shower cap. "How much longer until you can rinse?"
"Ten minutes." Quinn scowled as Billy wiped the dye from her face. "I'm gonna look like a bloody Oompa Loompa, aren't I?"
Billy snorted. "You're a little tall for an Oompa Loompa."
"That doesn't answer my question."
"Good news- it doesn't look like your skin's dyed." Billy tossed the towel onto the bathroom counter. "At least, nothing a good shower won't wash off."
"Good." Quinn nodded. "Thank you, and... I'm sorry for burdening you like this. My stupid fucking body-"
"I know, I understand." Billy interrupted. "You'd do the same for me."
Quinn narrowed her eyes. "No, I woulnd't."
"Tell yourself that." Billy smirked, taking a seat on the toilet lid. He wiped another streak of dye from her forehead. "This dye is ridiculously drippy, isn't it?"
"I'm not buying that brand again." Quinn agreed.

Check in for today! (3.10.24)
Today was a slower day.
I went to physical therapy and they told me my hips were much stronger/more stable from back when they did my measurements back in March. Unfortunately my upper back and neck (which are my main pain areas) have only gained a little bit of strength. 😔 at least I can say that though.
I went to D’s place and did my usual HIIT workout for 30 minutes plus some more physical therapy exercises. We then rubbed some sockeye salmon with a homemade dry rub and let that set in until dinner.
I showered and I decided I wanted to see Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. I made some homemade popcorn popped in avocado oil to sneak into the theater because I hate theater popcorn and we went off to the movies.
D bought me a new drawing pen and keyboard stand for my iPad, I did a little doodle of him riding a horse in his coat that makes him look pudgy 😆
He cooked me dinner. Salmon, green beans and basmati rice. Then we spent the rest of our time talking and joking before I left.
