Hi guys,

I decided instead of buying new foundations this month I would revisit some of my favourites. I decided today I would share with you 2 of my favourite matte, full coverage foundations from my collection.

My first matte / full coverage foundation is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation. This has been my holy grail for a long time and one I recommend constantly to everyone who needs a long-wearing foundation. This foundation is a demi-matte , medium to full coverage formula that also has skincare benefits in its formula. Considering it’s a matte foundation it feels so comfortable to wear on your face, it doesn’t feel heavy. I find when I’m wearing matte foundations, if I wear a hydrating primer underneath my foundation wears better and it doesn’t cake my skin either.

My other favourite matte foundation is the Nars Soft Matte Complete Foundation. This formula is a game changer for me because usually I wear more radiant, glowy formulas from Nars but when they brought out their matte formula I was so excited to try it out. This foundation has a total matte finish unlike the CT one which is a demi-matte finish. This formula is just as long wearing as the CT one but this one feels even lighter to wear which I really enjoy using in the summer months.

Both of these formulas have their benefits in terms of being matte, full coverage foundations, especially since I have oily combo skin and these types usually last longest on my face. Out of all my luxury foundations these 2 are by far my favourite to use and reach for constantly. If you like luxury brands and need a new foundation I really recommend checking these 2 out.

Hi guys,

Today is a Nars Foundation appreciation post. Recently I have been trying to wear foundations that aren't from Rare Beauty or Charlotte Tilbury because I literally wear them all the time and I've ended up discovering new and old favourites. While Nars has a lot of iconic products I think we can all agree they are most known for their foundations. So today we're going to chat about my 3 favourite formulas and fyi I wear the shade OSLO in all versions.

Let's start off with the iconic and most famous foundation from Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, £35.00. This was the foundation was the start of my Nars obsession and honestly I think most people would agree with me. This foundation is a luminous, sheer to medium coverage foundation with a satin finish. This foundation is perfect to create a flawless base and even complexion, personally I love the fact that this foundation gives me a luminous hydrated finish. The foundation is also very long-wearing and last really well on a night out.

Next up we have the Light Reflecting Foundation, £37.50. This formula took me a minute to get used to because compared to Sheer Glow it's a much lighter formula and doesn't feel like you're wearing anything. This foundation is unique formula designed to be a makeup and skincare that instantly blurs imperfections, smooths the look of textured skin, and helps conceal blemishes, dark spots, and redness. This foundation leaves you with a very natural, medium coverage finish. I tend to use this product on days when I don't want to wear heavy makeup or want a more natural look.

Lastly we have their most recent release the Soft Matte Complete Foundation, £31.00. If you have oily/ combo skin or prefer a foundation that isn't glowy in finish, then this is the perfect product for sure! As you've probably guessed by the name of this foundation, this formula gives you a natural looking, medium coverage, matte finish. Personally I adore this foundation because it hydrates your skin and helps balance your face oils all at once so it would wear really well even if you have oily skin.

There we have it my Nars foundations collection! There is one foundation missing from my collection which is the Natural Radiant Longwear foundation and I'm trying to convince myself I don't need it but let's be honest it might be a future review. I have to get something off my chest. In a non-serious, hater-like manner... I want to wash Isobel Thorm's face so bad. ITS NOT JUST THE EYES !! This woman looks like she had a full beat face of 2016 MAC foundation with the NARS concealer skillfully applied but a poor color match every step of the way like an aspiring two star review English makeup artist. The Kat Von D eyes. Anastasia brows. The colour-pop paper-dry liquid to matte lipstick. She DIES in this face. 100 years passes. She RISES in this face. Girl it is oxidizing. Your pores are screaming for help. That era is over. I promise you can wear a bare face to the apocalypse in fact I encourage you to because when you are on screen I picture myself gently running a fingernail over your cheek and coming away with a scoop of crypt-cream frosting. Please get in water.

Going shopping with Renzo wasn't an uncommon thing to do. You and Rindou brought him almost everywhere that allowed children. So, when Rindou had told you that he had business to attend to with Ran and that you would need to take him with you to the mall you had no complaints. It would just be a mall outing for the two of you.

You and Renzo had started off strong at the mall, going from store to store with little fuss. Renzo wasn't really a nagging child and you where forever grateful for that, making your shopping experience a lot easier than most moms with kids.

You and Renzo were continue your shopping journey, as the two of you walked passed Sephora. Stopping in your tracks you decided to go inside, but before you entered you had spoken to the little boy who held your hand with his own smaller one.

"Ren honey, don't touch the things in store" you said in a tender voice warning the young boy to be wary of the items. You knew Renzo was at that curious age were anything shiny he needed to touch, and the last thing you needed was him breaking a foundation bottle and you have to pay for it.

The small boy nodded in understanding, as the two of you entered. you walked passed the various sections in the store, looking at the different lipsticks, eyeshadows, facial lotions and concealers, with Renzo following you. The little boy eyeing all the colourful items but not daring to touch them as to test your warning.

"You think this colour looks pretty on mommy?" You asked the little boy as you puckered your lips at him, watching as he giggled.

"Maybe no" He answered honestly.

"Ouch, didn't realise you were as truthful as you uncle Ran" You replied back putting the lipstick back on its place.

You and Renzo continued walking, deciding to go to the Nars section hoping to find a lipstick or blush, as you were quite fond of their products.

You had arrived in the Nars section, finding where the lipsticks were. You let go of Renzo's hand reminding him of your warning.

"Remember no touching" you reminded him as you went to try on the lipstick in your hand infant of the small vanity mirror.

While you were preoccupied Renzo had taken a few steps away from you, not to far for concern but still a good distance.

Your words played over in Renzo's head.

'No touching'

But you never said that he couldn't read the product names, as the shiny packaging had his full attention. You see as much as Renzo was at the age of curiosity he was also at the age were he could read and thanks to you and Rindou putting him into a prestige school his reading skills was remarkable something that you were proud of.

You looked away from the mirror to show Renzo the new lip colour you dawned, but when you turned you realised the young boy was no longer where you left him. Panicking when you walked around the aisle to find your son holding a box as more panic set in as you feared he would drop the item, but before you could even get a word out you heard the little boys voice.

"DEEP THROAT BLUSH!" the little boy loudly read, as nearly every woman in the store turned their heads looking at Renzo.

"Renzo" you whispered quietly trying to get the boys attention without gaining anymore.

As you continued to walk over towards him you watched him pick up another makeup product, and you watched as his mouth opened and you felt your legs speed up in pacing. Hand out about to grab him when you heard.

"ORGASM BLUSH"

And once again all eyes were on Renzo and now on you.

"Put it down honey, and lets go" you said urging the boy on to put the blush back as you grabbed his hand and went to the counter to pay for your things so that you could leave with whatever little dignity you had left.

You stood at the counter paying for your items while Renzo looked around the shop. You had just finished swiping your card when you felt a little tug on your jacket, when you heard the question.

"WHAT IS BETTER THAN SEX MAS- KAR- RA?" Renzo asked loud and clear.

You gave the cashier a smile grabbing your bags, seeing the young woman pull her face into a tight smile as blush rose to her cheeks at your sons question.

You grabbed Renzo and made your way out of Sephora, mentally noting that you'd never take Renzo there again.

"So, how was your day champ?" Rindou asked the young boy who messily ate his spaghetti.

"It was fun" The little boy replied not even looking at his father as he pulled a spaghetti high up in the air.

"We had too much fun" you said looking over at your husband with that expression that already told him you were drained from today.

"I think I'm going to take a bath after dinner"

"You deserve one baby" Rindou said with a smile.

Rindou looked over at Renzo seeing that the boy was occupied with his pasta not even noticing the two of you as Rindou whispered over towards you.

"And when I put champ to bed maybe I can join you"

You smiled at Rindou's words, as you felt heat rise to your cheeks, and then

"SEX BOMB" Renzo said loud, Rindou froze internally freaking out wondering how his son heard him whisper that to you.

"A bath bomb you should use that for you bath mommy"

bambi reached over to turn on her mirror light, clicking the small button that made the white lights flash across both her and hector’s faces. hector squinted, shutting his eyes tight against the sudden brightness. “you could’ve given me a warning.”

bambi giggled at his reaction. “sorry, baby.” she kissed his cheek.

“hi, deers! today, i’m here with my lovely boyfriend, hector!” she beamed into the camera.

hector’s eyes lit up when she said his name, and he gave a little wave. “introduce yourself while i look for my hair clips,” bambi said, getting up from her vanity.

“hi. i’m hector. .. . fort garcía, i play as a right back for barcelona atlètic. and i’ve been dating bambi for around 2-ish years,”

bambi giggled at his awkwardness, “okay. find them! now.. . let’s start” she sat back down next to hector. he grabbed the clips from her and pushed her hair back away from her face, placing the clips into her hair.

“now what’s the first— second step?” bambi asked hector. he looked at her cheetah makeup bag, picking it up. he unzipped the bag and looked for her foundation and concealer, “did you use moisturizer already?” he asked her.

she nodded, “that’s your first hint. .. no more!” she joked. hector rolled his eyes, he grabbed her nars sheer glow foundation from the bag, he squeezed the bottle’s cap onto the back of his hand, “why is it so orange?” his face full of disgust. she stared at him, blankly. he looked for her makeup sponge, he saw a bright pink sponge laying on her clear vanity that was covered with old foundation and concealer.

“is this the right one?”

she shrugged which made hector sigh, he patted the sponge onto the back of his hand, trying to pick the product up. he looked at the sponge to see if there was product on the pink object, hector began to dab the sponge onto her brown skin.

“now this one is too pale,” he looked at the maybeline fit me concealer. “baby, do you need help picking out makeup to match your skin tone?” he asked in genuine concerned. she couldn’t help with burst out laughing, “noo hector, it’s supposed to be like that” she assured him.

he continued to repeat the same process to apply the concealer onto her face.

“glossier,” hector mimicked the name of her eyebrow gel before he turned the black cap off of thin white bottle, he flicked her eyebrows up with the wand. he leaned back to over look her face, his eyes now wider than usual. “fucked your eyebrows up..” he mumbled under his breath before he reapplied the gel onto her eyebrows trying to fix them.

bambi stifled a laugh as he tried to fix the slightly uneven brow. “no one will notice, baby. you’re doing great,” she reassured him, enjoying his focused determination.

“ok now.. i know you don’t use eyeshadow anymore so i think that’s it.” he said, nodding to himself.

he continued sifting through her bag, lifting out a compact with a coral blush inside. “i think this step— blush. it makes you look like a tomato,” he added, grabbing the blush with a teasing grin. he smiled, tapping the brush into the blush and gently sweeping it across her cheeks.

“okay, but go easy! i don’t wanna look like i’m overheating,”

bambi grinned, watching him fumble a little as he unscrewed the highlighter cap. he squeezed out a tiny amount, and with his finger, gently dabbed the highlighter onto her cheekbones and the tip of her nose. “estàs maca” he said with a proud smile, meaning you look pretty in catalan.

“come closer..” he said, his voice low and playful, leaning in so he could apply the lip liner and balm. her lips pouted out as he carefully pressed her brown lip liner against her lips— the liner was just a smidge darker than the natural color of her lips. he picked up her pink vaseline tin, his fingers gliding across the pink jelly and pressing it against her top and bottom lip.

“perfect!” she said with a huge smile.

hector pulled the makeup bag closer, looking for some setting spray. his face scrunched up a little as he looked. "i have no idea what this is..." he trailed off, lifting up the setting spray, his face contorting in confusion. "it's called setting spray." she said, reaching for the bottle, "it'll set your face for the day,"

bambi shook the bottle, holding her hair back. she closed her eyes as she began to spray her face before hector spoke out, "i thought i was doing your makeup,” he complained, taking the setting spray out of her hand and shaking the bottle as well.

he held her chin and sprayed the setting spray on her face. she shook her head and smiled. "you did, and now you're finished. thanks for doing this!" she kissed his cheek.

he grabbed the vlogging camera and aimed it towards her, "so how did i do?" he asked her, “not bad. .. but you did forget something,” she teased.

he looked up at her, biting his lip. "what?"

as soon as bambi started talking, he attacked her lips with his, kissing her.

she giggled between his lips, “hector! no, it’s my mascara,” she said, pulling away laughing.

how I think @princessbrunette reader’s would do their makeup!

Puppy reader: makeup was never her forte so she doesn’t wear much. She views it as too much hassle in the morning but she adores the full face girlies and will always complement them.

Product/placement analysis: she uses the same tint for bothe her blush and lips, she has the the telescopic mascara but she only wears it for special occasions but she always forgets to take it off at the end of the night.

Bunny reader: now this. this is a fully coverage AND high end makeup girl. Her base must be flawless and her lips must shine so bright that you can see her a mile away. Rafe funds majority of her makeup habits and Sephora trips.

Product/placement analysis: she has the milk hydro grip primer, she’s uses the nars light reflecting foundation, too faced born this way concealer that she does the 2016 under the eyes, chin, and forehead triangle method with, she skips contour and goes straight to blush which she’s uses the onesize blush trio in the shade cheek clapper, when it comes to highlight she uses the Dior backstage palette, she normally wears falsies, finally she sets her face with the huda beauty powder in the shade cherry blossom (she only got it cuz it was pink and cute)

Kitty reader: a medium coverage girlie through and through. She doesn’t pay too much attention to her base because her eyeliner and eyeshadow usually take over the show. She also def has a little pouch in her purse for touchups.

product/placement analysis: L’Oréal infallible 24 hour wear foundation, elf hydrating camo concealer that she places under her eyes with one swipe closer to the middle and another on the outer corners, physicians formula bronzer, covergirl true blend blush in shade temptation or sweet subduction that she focuses extremely high on her cheekbones, revlon colorstay eyeshadow quad in shade siren which she focus the sliver shade in her inner corners and the middle of her eyelid and then she takes the blacks shade everywhere else and tightlines her waterline with it, and she sets her whole face with the maybelline fit me pressed powder. Falsies are usually her go to for lashes or nothing at all. (her and jj def didn’t ’borrow’ half of this stuff from the store.)

deer reader: I don’t think her makeup is ever really heavy. She’s def a skin tint/concealer, highlight, blush, and maybe mascara kinda girl. She does have a ton of lip tints tho, that’s something she’ll never be seen without.
